1 vs. 1, 1 Pokemon Each
Style: Set
DQ: 2 Weeks (Yes, I am covering my ass for the trip to BC :D)
Damage Cap: 30%
Banned Move: OHKO's
Arena: Oasis

An oasis, surrounded by palm trees, in the middle of the desert. The sun constantly beats down, making the arena succumb to a permanent Sunny Day, unless another weather effect overrides it. However, after the weather effect fades, the sunlight will come back. Sand-Based attacks (Sand Attack, Sand Storm, Sand Tomb) get the following respectively:

Sand Attack: Lowers accuracy by two stages instead of one, due to the plentiful, er, sand
Sand Storm: Lasts an extra round
Sand Tomb: Does an extra 2% damage after calculations

All mud-based attacks (Mud Shot, Mud Slap, Mud Bomb) do 2% less damage after calculations, as the sand does not hold water well. Also, Earthquake's damage is cut in half, rounded up, after damage calculations, as the sand does not conduct the kinetic energy very well. The oasis in the middle of the arena starts at 20 feet wide by 10 feet deep. The arena itself encompasses 100 feet square. Every round, the oasis shrinks 5 feet by 2.5 feet. Three rounds after the Oasis disappears, the palm trees wither away and all grass types in the arena begin to lose 5% health each round. One last note: Fish Pokemon such as Goldeen and Magikarp faint immediately after the Oasis disappears. In short, don't use Grass types or Pokemon based on Fish unless you want a challenge.

Phanel, go forth and protect our assets!
Abra [M] (Synchronize)

Guess who I'm using?

Go, Ribbon!

Ribbon: Gible Gib!

Ribbon, start off with Sand Tomb! Now, they may try Teleporting away to avoid it, which is good. This way, we either force them into losing energy or losing health.

Now comes the split paths.

If Abra uses Teleport, use Sand Storm to whip up a nasty little surprise. Then use Dig to hide underground.

If Abra DOESN'T use Teleport, then use Double Team while they are trapped using the kind that allows you to scatter them to do whatever. Make sure 2 clones are made and scattered around the battle field. Then Chill

Sand Tomb ~ Sand Storm (If Abra Teleports)/Double Team other wise ~ Dig (If you used Sand Storm)/Chill otherwise

Okay Phanel, you're faster so let's get some damage in first off with an Ice punch. Exploiting quadruple weaknesses is fun. Then he'll try and catch you in a pillar of Sand, so what you'll do is Teleport outta there to as far away as you can get and then Calm mind.

Ice Punch ~ Teleport ~ Calm Mind

The sun shines down on a shimmering, golden desert, heating the sand beneath it to uncomfortable temperatures and forcing most of the desert fauna into what little shade they can find. Even the lone oasis in the desert's center is slowly beginning to dry up, the pool growing just a little smaller and a little shallower with every passing second and the palm trees around slowly wilting away. These are the harsh and unforgiving conditions in which Icalasari and Involuntary Twitch have decided to do battle, and they select their battlers as quickly as possible. No one wants to stay out here and risk heatstroke, especially not with the water drying up as rapidly as it is...

Ribbon the Gible is the first to appear on the field, and when she materializes from her Pokéball she stops to get a good look at her surroundings. This place is... hot and dry. Really hot and dry. And while the average Gible would be more than happy to find itself in such a place, Ribbon is rather disappointed. She much prefers the water to standing out here on slippery sand with the sun baking her dorsal fin; maybe she'll get a chance to go for a swim in that nice-looking pool over there. Her opponent, Phanel the Abra, seems a little less concerned as he is released, snoozing gently as his kind so often do. It's kind of hot out here, sure, but there's nothing wrong with a little sunbathing. As long as his foe doesn't do anything to mess it up, that is.

Round One: Begin!

With a sigh of disappointment--he'd really rather just keep sunbathing--Phanel zips forward across the hot sand, propelled by his psychic powers. The immediate area around his clenched fist drops to a bitterly cold temperature despite the desert's heat, and by the time he slams this fist into Ribbon it is actually coated with a thin layer of ice. The Gible shrieks as the blow lands right in her eye, knocking her head over heels and clutching her cold, stinging face as she rolls in the sand. The ice itself melts as soon as the attack finishes, but the chilled feeling lingers even as Ribbon stands slowly. The little land shark hisses angrily at her opponent, blinking tears out of her injured eye as best she can, and kicks the sand around her up into a whirling miniature tornado. The twister of sand wends its way across the arena, reaching Phanel in a matter of seconds and encircling him. The Abra grunts and snorts a little of the sand out of his nose but otherwise does his best to ignore his gritty prison. It's just a minor inconvenience; he'll deal with it later.

[Ribbon: -19H, -2E, not happy] - [Phanel: -2H, -4E, uncomfortable but confident]

The sand tornado swirls in place, flinging little flecks of grit in at Phanel as it does so. Unwilling to deal with this for any longer than he has to Phanel concentrates hard, focusing on a point in the oasis a few yards away from his current position. There is a brief flash of light as the Psychic-type vanishes--unseen by his opponent, of course, obscured as he is by the sand tomb--and reappears moments later a safe distance away from Ribbon. Phanel snorts one last time and dusts himself off before settling back into his doze.

But Ribbon isn't finished with him yet. She lets out a howl and throws her head back as a fierce wind picks up and gathers the hot sand around the oasis. The wind, while not focused in a tight, rotating funnel as the sand tomb attack was, is painfully strong in and of itself. Phanel growls irritably. He extricates himself from one pillar of stinging sand only to end up in a bigger one? Not kosher. Interestingly enough, Ribbon isn't exactly thrilled with the new situation either. Her thick, rough scales protect her from the constant grating of the sand, but... she doesn't like it. The little dragon shudders and hunkers down a little bit. It's bad enough she has to stay out here in the heat and sand instead of in that nice little pool in the first place.

[Ribbon: -0H, -5E, would have preferred a rain dance] - [Phanel: -0H, -3E, ticked off]

Phanel sighs and frowns a little. This sandstorm is annoying, yes, very annoying, but... he can deal with it. Of course he can deal with it. He's part of the Twitchean Union; he can deal with anything. And the first step toward being prepared to deal with anything is keeping a calm mind about you. The Abra relaxes and retreats into his own thoughts, shutting out the sand that is battering his body and concentrating on keeping his psychic powers sharp and his mind ready to adapt to his current predicament. Ribbon yawns as she watches Phanel drift off into a mediative trance. What a boring opponent. Granted, she doesn't want to take another painful ice punch to the face like that, but still. If all Phanel is going to do is sleep and do vanishing acts, well, that's no fun. She's just going to have to liven things up a bit. Bending over until her webbed foreclaws are touching the sand Ribbon begins to dig furiously. Even more sand flies through the air as she tears at the ground, fighting her way underneath it. The going is not easy--the dry sand shifts and falls back into Ribbon's hole almost as fast as she can clear it away. It takes her a considerable amount of time to burrow to any noteworthy depth, and she is quite out of breath by the time she manages it. The Gible stops tunneling at about five feet under the surface and tries to relax, although this is made a little harder by the sand that has fallen into her would-be tunnel and completely encased her. She isn't sure she likes this much better than being out in the sandstorm.

[Ribbon: -0H, -5E, incredibly uncomfortable] - [Phanel: -0H, -1E, sp. attack +1, sp. defense +1, ignoring the inclement weather]

Round One: Close

The sandstorm is just getting started and continues to rage mercilessly around the oasis arena, battering Phanel as it goes. The Abra is still oblivious to the storm blustering around outside his mind, but while he cannot actually feel the pain for now it does eat away at him all the same. Ribbon, too, is trying her best to ignore the sand around her, although her current situation is less like a storm and more like a tomb. She pictures herself submerged, not in hot desert sand but in nice, cool water, floating along and waiting for something tasty to dart by. As she daydreams the actual water in the oasis continues to evaporate away, even with the sand blocking out most of the direct sunlight.

Ref's Notes
-Ice Punch was a critical hit.
-Question. Marine Dragon's effect says that Ribbon's speed drops by 1 in bright sunlight and by 2 in sandy conditions like this desert. Does that mean a total speed drop of 3 during Sunny Day (or perhaps Sandstorm) in a desert, or does one overwrite the other?
-Involuntary Twitch attacks first next round.

Hey, Phanel. Good job out there. Ice punch hurts her, like a lot, so that'll be mostly our attacking move. And we'll have the speed advantage too. Unfortunately, she happens to be underground right now, so we'll play defensive until she comes out, then reverse our strategy.

So. Keep close watch until she digs out; you should be able to do it okay using your psychic energies to sense her, err, life force or something. If she doesn't emerge, Calm mind. If she does, Ice Punch. Pretty straightforward. The sandstorm is a triviality; don't let it worry you too much.

Calm mind/Ice punch ~ Calm mind/Ice punch ~ Calm mind/Ice punch

Hmm... Only attacked if you emerge, eh? Well, if you dig up into the Oasis, then you haven't technically emerged, have you? Just in case... *Slips ref an IOU* What? I'm broke XD

ANYWAYS, yeah, dig up into the lake, but do NOT show yourself. This way, you remain 'submerged'. Ah, technicalities. You have GOT to love them. And even if it doesn't count, well, the water should still disrupt the psychic energies or whatever enough to prevent them from sensing you properly

Continuing, use Swords Dance while underwater. Then, emerge and use Dragon Rush JUST AS ABRA is about to strike you with Ice Punch. This should guarantee a hit unless you are EXTREMELY unlucky, as it is hard to dodge an attack at point-blank range. If you have troubles seeing Abra coming, or if it will be more powerful (depends on whether or not the ref classifies Frustration as a ramming attack like Dragon Rush, and how pissed off you think Ribbon will be after I egg her on) then use Frustration instead. Use the fact that they punched you with a critical hit Ice Punch as motivation. Don't forget how low down and dirty that trick was! How DARE she hit YOU with such an attack! That stupid little... er... something ought to PAY for such a tactic! I mean, you are battling in a desert, where you are feeling uncomfortable. And yet this Abra went and hit you with such an evil attack anyways! (Going to clarify this a bit more after I list the moves)

Erm, yeah, also, if you don't understand the third command well enough, Ribbon, then default to Frustration instead of floating there figuring out what to do *eggs her on again*

Dig into Oasis* ~ Swords Dance ~ Emerge and use Dragon Rush when Abra is close/Emerge and use Frustration if you can't see well enough to guarantee a hit with Dragon Rush**

*The sand should fill in fast enough to keep it from draining. Basing this on how you described Ribbon digging last round

**When I say wait until Dragon Rush is a guaranteed hit, I mean that, well, when Abra is so close that they are just out of arms reach, well, even a 75% accuracy attack should hit. When I say to use Frustration if she can't see well enough, well, I mean that she should use it if Dragon Rush isn't 100% guaranteed to hit, even though Abra is so close. And her +2 boost from the water should help out. Sorry if this is confusing. Like I said above, if it is too confusing to understand, then default to frustration

Also, no, the boosts NOR the drops don't stack. Although that shouldn't be a problem in this battle, as Ribbon would either be definitely slower or definitely faster than her foe

Round Two: Begin!

Phanel squints at the spot where his opponent last stood, waiting for her to make another appearance. When she fails to do this, he isn't particularly concerned; he simply slips back into his trance, further honing his already impressive mental abilities. Ribbon continues to stay out of sight, but not for lack of movement; the Gible is fighting her way through the sand again in what she is fairly sure is the general direction of the oasis. She is rewarded when she can sense water directly above her and changes direction, forcing herself upward as quickly as she can. She'd rather be swimming in water than in sand, after all. The water pressing against the sides and floor of the oasis makes the sand near it wet and compact, much easier to dig through, and when Ribbon breaks through she is met by a rush of water into her "hole". Smiling, she swims up and allows herself to float a little ways under the surface. The water is much hotter than she's used to, but it's still better than hot sand.

[Ribbon: -0H, -7E, that's better...] - [Phanel: -0H, -1E, sp. attack +2, sp. defense +2, bored]

After giving herself a moment to swim around and clear away the sand covering her, Ribbon stop playing around and begins swimming in a circle. Now that she is in her element, so to speak, she is able to move much more quickly, and she builds up speed as her movements become more intense and erratic. The underwater dance leaves Ribbon feeling pumped, invigorated and ready for anything Phanel might try and throw at her... which, for the time being, is nothing. The Abra is simply relaxing and meditating since his opponent has not yet shown herself.

[Ribbon: -0H, -2E, attack +2, ready to rip something a new one] - [Phanel: -0H, -1E, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, very bored]

Phanel is not bored for long, however, because Ribbon dashes out of the water and straight at him without warning, green flames streaming out of her mouth and surrounding her body. Phanel jumps, caught off guard, but recovers himself quickly and prepares to punch. Now that she is back on the sand and has even more sand sticking to her wet scales Ribbon is finding it hard to move again; as such, she is unable to complete her attack before the Psychic-type's frigid fist crashes into her face again, although at least this time it only hits her nose instead of her sensitive eye. Ribbon sits down hard in the sand, flames extinguished and feeling slightly deflated. When she picks herself up and resumes her assault it is not with the same gusto as before; nevertheless, Phanel is thrown backward by the sheer force of the attack, his skin singed slightly by the dragonfire.

[Ribbon: -12H, -5E, attack +2, disappointed] - [Phanel: -15H, -4E, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, achy]

Round Two: Close

The oasis continues to shrink and the trees continue to wilt under the heat of the sun forcing its way through the gale of flying sand. Ribbon watches it shrink with a wistful look in her eye, wishing that she could have spent more time swimming in it instead of coming out for another fistful of ice. Phanel simply continues to sit and ignore the conditions as best he can, although the sand getting into his singed skin is pretty uncomfortable.

Anyways, Ribbon, get back into the water IMMEDIATELY and use Rain Dance! That won't slow the evaporation, but it will give you a slight speed boost. At the very least, it will make you faster than the Abra

After this, swim around again and use Swords Dance. Finish up the round with Frustration, making sure to dive back into the water before Abra can strike back. Don't forget how that Abra DARED to strike you AGAIN with an Ice Type attack! He ought to be put down for his insolence! Do not let that Abra get away with such a travesty!

Dive in and use Rain Dance ~ Swords Dance ~ Frustration and Dive Back In (Honestly, it shouldn't be too hard to stick a landing in the water after hitting Abra)

She's boring, isn't she? And she's not even attacking us. Well, at least she'll be calling the sandstorm off... that'll take even more energy than normal, I should expect...

Start with a Psychic-- you're faster than her, at least for now. Then, fine, she'll escape... no biggie. Snatch her Swords dance. >D Then wait until she surfaces (...she'll be pretty pissed though, I've gotta warn you) and Ice Punch with your brand new attack boost.

...Um, Gible is majorly slow, even with a speed boost from the rain... I'm hoping Abra's speed will still take precedence, but if it doesn't, no bog deal I guess.

Round Three: Begin!

Ribbon turns and pumps her stubby legs as fast as she can, trying to get back into the ever-shrinking pool one last time before the mean Abra can do more bad things to her. Unfortunately, the mean Abra is able to react much more quickly than she can, and he lifts her up into the air with his considerably augmented psychic power. The Gible wails and thrashes, but to no avail; Phanel tosses her around mercilessly and slams her into the sand multiple times, his mental grip pressing down on painful pressure centers all the while. With a derisive snort Phanel finishes his attack, dropping Ribbon to the ground quite roughly and certainly no closer to the oasis.

Whimpering, Ribbon picks herself up and continues her dash for the water, reaching it after a few seconds and throwing herself in gratefully. She notes, with some dismay, that the pool is much smaller than it was before and is now shrinking quite noticeably; it won't be around for much longer. She zips around in the water again (what little "zipping" she has room to do, at any rate), her erratic dance bringing heavy, dark clouds over the desert. The rumble of thunder can be heard off in the distance and, before long, a steady downpour begins to fall and stops the sandstorm in its tracks. She pushes her nose up above the surface just long enough to take a breath of air and enjoy the feeling of the rain pattering down on her. She never really saw the point of that silly sandstorm, anyway.

[Ribbon: -16H, -6E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, liking the rain] - [Phanel: -0H, -5E, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, snide]

Life-giving rain soaks the barren desert, tamping down all of the sand, cooling the air slightly and bringing temporary relief to the area. It isn't enough to stop the pool's progress--it is still quite hot, even with the rain, and it's simply too far gone now--but the withering palm trees do perk up just a little as they soak up the extra water.

Phanel, of course, could care less. His eyes are closed and he is still ignoring the weather (although he can't help but notice that whatever's going on in the world outside himself is significantly less painful than it was before), instead focusing on searching for Ribbon's energy signature in an attempt to detect any sudden spikes. Thin, black tendrils of something sinister hover around him as he hunts, seemingly waiting for some cue to lash out. The cue comes when Ribbon starts to dance again. Her movements now are more frenzied and hectic than they've been so far, as she is in a hurry to get as much time and use out of the vanishing pool as she can before it dries up completely. Once again she feels adrenaline surging through her, strengthening her, giving her courage... but then, as suddenly as the feeling comes it fades away, seemingly pulled right out of Ribbon. Phanel's black wisps surround her and yank the invigorating feelings away, spiriting them back out of the water and into Phanel. The Abra smiles and flexes his arm muscles a little bit. He's not really used to all this physical running around and stuff, but feeling this pumped is kind of nice.

[Ribbon: -0H, -3E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, ...where'd it go?] - [Phanel: -0H, -5E, attack +2, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, feeling superior]

Phanel has ice-punched, insulted and otherwise injured Ribbon for long enough. The Gible howls and charges out of the water again, teeth gnashing and arms flailing like windmills as she goes. The cool splashing of raindrops on her scales heartens her, and she puts on an extra turn of speed. Phanel, shocked, spins around just in time to see Ribbon approaching him a lot faster than he'd like. The startled Abra throws a wild punch, not having enough time to aim properly. Through some miracle, the attack connects; Phanel's fist, once again coated in ice, collides with Ribbon's face and knocks her over. Cold and pain shoot through Ribbon's head, but she doesn't let it stop her. She snarls, gets to her feet and smashes into Phanel, panic and frustration fueling her attack. She punches, kicks, scratches, headbutts, bites, anything she can manage before she finally tires out; Phanel is left with quite a few nasty bruises and cuts when she backs away. It's too late for her to "dive back in before Phanel can hit" at this point, but Ribbon, still fuming, turns and heads back to the water with all hast anyway.

[Ribbon: -16H (capped at 14), -5E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, RARGH] - [Phanel: -11H, -6E, attack +2, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, um... okay, ow]

Round Three: Close

The pool she arrives at, however, has suffered a drastic size reduction even from when she was last in it. The intense desert heat is taking its toll, and at this point when she gets into the water she can easily stand at the bottom with the surface only a few inches above her head. There's hardly any room to move. Phanel is a little too busy gingerly poking at his latest injuries to notice or care how uncomfortably small the oasis is.

-As it turns out, no, not even doubling Gible's speed will make it faster than an Abra. I suppose Ribbon can get a little extra oomph from actually being in the water when she starts the attack, but Phanel is still faster overall.
-Involuntary Twitch attacks first next round.

Wonderful job, Phanel. You are showing your true potential and are definitely getting a promotion after this.

It's a shame the damage cap is so low, otherwise we could take her out this turn. Ah well. Let's keep up the offense and cut down on the conditionals; psychic twice and then chill because the damage will probably have capped by then, or in case she dodges or protects one just use psychic again.

Phanel's Commands:
Psychic ~ Psychic ~ Chill/Psychic

Round Four: Begin!

It takes Phanel only a few seconds to find Ribbon with his mind--not that looking around would've been too difficult, as the oasis has dropped so low that the Gible is now standing in it with her dorsal fin beginning to show above the surface. When Ribbon feels the familiar, uncomfortable pressure wrapping around her body again she panics and gasps, accidentally inhaling some of the warm water. Phanel lifts the gagging, flailing dragon out of her puddle--there isn't much else you could call it at this point-- and smashes her around mercilessly again. The psychic energy surrounding her burns her scales horribly, far worse than the first time, and even the cool raindrops falling onto her do absolutely nothing to relieve the pain. Phanel drops her the the packed sand below with a smack and then sits back, confident.

A moaning Ribbon takes her time picking herself up from the ground. She is in so much pain that she can barely see straight, and she has a great deal of difficulty getting to her feet. She isn't sure she can muster the strength to attack Phanel again. Luckily, she doesn't have to. Ribbon bends down, scoops up a handful of sand and flings it at her opponent. Wet and compacted as it is it flies far enough to hit its mark, but this also prevents the attack from working as Ribbon intended. The sand ball stings a little bit when it strikes Phanel's face, but no grit manages to get into his squinty little eyes.

[Ribbon: -25H, -1E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, desperate] - [Phanel: -1H, -5E, attack +2, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, ready to bring this to a close]

Ribbon finds herself in the air again without warning, Phanel completely unfazed by the attempted sand-attack and wasting no time in his efforts to finish the Gible off. Rain lashes Ribbon's body as she sails up, down and all around through the air, and it's all she can manage to feel grateful that it doesn't hurt quite as badly this time. In fact, by the time the attack finishes and she hits the ground again her nerves have been worn down to their limit; Ribbon simply cannot feel anything anymore. Her arms shake as she picks up another ball of sand, and she can't even aim it straight at Phanel's head. The thrown sand simply hits his chest armor, and the Abra ignores it entirely.

[Ribbon: -18H (capped at 5), -1E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, barely able to stand] - [Phanel: -1H, -5E, attack +2, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, entirely disinterested]

Phanel, quite bored with this silly game, doesn't bother harrassing his foe any further for the time being. Instead he focuses on relaxing, shutting his eyes, meditating and allowing the rain to wash the sand off of his face and chest. Ribbon, quite desperate at this point, tries to blind her foe one last time. Her latest attempt is just as futile as the previous two; the sand she throws barely grazes Phanel's shoulder, and the effort of the wild toss causes her to overbalance and fall onto her face. Phanel would probably chuckle at her if he were paying her any mind at all.

[Ribbon: -0H, -1E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, fallen and can't get up] - [Phanel: -1H, +10E, attack +2, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, ignoring Ribbon]

Round Four: Close

As Ribbon hits the floor and doesn't bother trying to get up, what little is left of the oasis behind her gives up as well. It has finally evaporated, leaving only a large basin of sand that is even wetter and more compact than the rain-soaked sand around it. The last permanent source of water for the area's palm trees has dried up despite the rain, and in the wicked heat of the desert it is unlikely that they will last much longer. They might be able to hang on a little longer than Ribbon, however. The Gible is on her last legs and, it seems, entirely at Phanel's mercy. With any luck, his loss of interest in her will last long enough for her to attempt some sort of comeback...

Arena Status: The oasis has completely evaporated. Rain is pouring down over the desert, making the sand it touches wet and compact. It is still hot, however.

Rain Dance: 3 rounds, 2 actions remaining.

Ref's Notes
-Phanel's first Psychic was a critical hit. The RNG is an Abra fanboy, it seems.
-Wet sand does not a stellar Sand-Attack make. The compacted sand did do a little damage, but the overall effectiveness of the attack was diminished.
-The second Psychic hit the damage cap.
-Ribbon's weakness and fatigue reduced her ability to aim properly.
-Icalasari attacks first next round.

Shit

Well, Ribbon, looks like we are dead

Rest, then chill twice, and hope for a miracle

Rest ~ Chill* ~ Chill*

(Presuming you make the lack of activity count as chilling when a Pokemon is asleep)

Technically, no, you'd actually issue the command to chill while resting and let the energy regained from the chill offset the cost of Rest. You certainly don't "do nothing" while using an intense healing move like Rest, and of course she isn't going to get energy for free just because you aren't attacking.

So if you're okay with that then fine, but if that wasn't what you meant/were thinking then you might want to adjust those commands.

Phanel, destroy her before she gets to Rest.

Psychic ~ Psychic her fainted body again if it gives you some sadistic pleasure ~ Okay chill

Round Five: Begin!

Ribbon is obviously tired, and the little Gible would love nothing more than the chance to take a nice, long rest in the rain. Phanel wants Ribbon to go to sleep, too, although in a much more sinister manner. He returns his attention to her at last, grabbing her with his mind for what he is sure will be the last time. And he is right. The combination of intense psychic energy eating away at her skin and the repeated slamming into the hardened ground are simply too much for Ribbon to take; she falls unconscious in midair, and a satisfied Abra lets her drop to the wet sand.

[Ribbon: -18H (capped at 9), -1E, attack +2, sp. defense -1, knocked out] - [Phanel: -0H, -5E, attack +2, sp. attack +3, sp. defense +3, well, that was easy]

Round Five: Close

The rain continues to pour down over the desert, splashing over victor and vanquished alike. Ribbon vanishes back into her Pokéball after giving her all even in an uncomfortable and disadvantageous environment against a very versatile opponent. Involuntary Twitch congratulates Phanel on a job well done and a sound first triumph for the union before recalling him as well. She and Icalasari shake hands and then take their leave of the arena in a hurry; even in the heavy downpour the desert heat is barely tolerable, and there are most certainly other, more comfortable locations for them to celebrate or regroup.
