.: Negrek vs Kratos Aurion :: Round Four :.
1vs1
DQ: Standard week
Damage Cap: None
Banned Moves: Everything but metronome!
Arena: Willow Town
Willow Town is a tragically quaint, pleasant sort of place, which explains how it manages to attract so many murderers, thieves, and really stupid trainers. Its main street is like something out of an old movie: broad and well-kept, lined on either side by little mom-'n'-pop stores, including a bakery, the delicious scents from which waft out into the road. Large willow trees, their dangling fronds swaying gently in an almost imperceptible breeze, run in line with the sidewalks, and the pedestrians strolling around greet one another with cheerful smiles and waves. There's almost no street traffic, so the battlers don't have to worry about getting squashed--unless, of course, something nasty goes down at the lab again and necessitates the intrusion of speeding police cars and ambulances on their way to see whether Professor Willow's managed to get out of this one alive.

.: Actions :.
Aldonza waves her hands rhythmically in another Metronome, and as usual, white light emits from her hands. As she continues to follow the rhythm, her eyes close, and a strange calm seeps into her mind. She lets her body sway with her hands, feeling a deep power well up – perhaps not within her, but she feels a deep connection with it. She can feel it supporting her, comforting her, even though she doesn’t need to be comforted. With this, she thinks, her victory is certain, even more so than it had been before.
Silver looks at her blankly, not noticing anything really happening, so he decides to just attack, hoping that whatever he calls up won’t be too tiring (unless it’s awesome, in which case that’s okay). He uses his own Metronome, but the results of his attack are much faster. His hands glow white, then he runs toward Aldonza, a tiny hand raised.
O mighty Arceus, Aldonza thinks, still swaying,
come to my aid. She slowly opens her eyes, staring up at the heavens.
Destroy my enemy.
A chill runs through Silver even as he leaps and slaps Aldonza with as much force as he can muster. Although she feels a sudden sting, however, Aldonza barely takes notice – the sheer power she can feel expands, filling every particle in her body. Her eyes glow, and Silver freezes mid-step, in the middle of backing away. He cannot move. It’s as if an irresistible force is pressing down on him, weighing him down, and fear pierces his heart. Her eyes bore into him, stripping away all of his thoughts and feelings and exposing his true self.
“Unworthy,” Aldonza says in a voice too deep and menacing to be her own. The pressure suddenly vanishes, and her eyes slowly return to normal.
A thick white beam of energy suddenly strikes the middle of the road, tearing through the pavement and the road underneath. Silver jumps and turns to it, finding a hole with several cracks spreading out from it. He then looks toward the sky, but doesn’t see the source of the attack.
Then another shaft shoots down, shattering a willow tree, fragments flying everywhere. A man screams as a piece of wood is embedded in his eye, scrambling backward while holding his eye and falling onto the road. His scream is followed by many others as more beams of energy from the sky shoot down, one tearing into the bakery, collapsing much of the ceiling onto the bakers and families inside. Another demolishes the wall of a clothing store, throwing shards of stone and wood onto the street. Two pierce through the roof of the store just beside Negrek, one of them continuing through the wall of the adjacent store. A fifth, sixth, and seventh, piercing through the street yet again. But that’s only the beginning—a mere taste of what’s to come. The beams come quicker with every second, five of them striking down as many stores between them all at once, and countless more.
The beams fall like rain, striking people and their newly-released pokémon alike, riddling the roads and sidewalks and stores with gaping holes. The pokémon have a better time of it than the humans; though the pokémon, generally, are filled with so much pain they can’t remain conscious any longer, the humans are ripped apart from the force of the attack. They trickle out of stores, take a single look at the battle, and flee along with those already on the streets, but their quick action doesn’t save them all. Some who aren’t struck by the beams themselves are instead trampled to death.
Aldonza remains unmoving in the midst of it all, while Silver can’t do anything but watch, eyes wide. He can’t think, can’t pick anywhere to run to – the beams destroy anything in their path, and there’s nowhere to hide. He instead gives his trainer a pleading look, imploring her to return him to the (relative) safety of his pokéball, but just then a single shaft of light pierces through him, shattering the pavement under his feet.
Screaming, Silver falls to the ground, covered in deep burns throughout his body. Cracks spread all over his shell, pieces flying off with the impact of his fall. But, to his surprise, he realises that he’s not really that hurt by the attack, not as much as he expected. It still hurts to move, but he is able to slowly get back onto his feet, though a few more shards of his shell fall to the ground.
With that one last beam of energy, the shafts of light suddenly cease.
Aldonza blinks, looking around at the destruction around her. The street and buildings in the immediate area are torn up, there are a few less trees than before, and it’s mostly clear of living people, not including those obligated to remain here. The referee, trainers, and Aldonza are completely untouched by the attack, but the same cannot be said for, really, anything else. She giggles. She did this!
She did this!
Still giddy, Aldonza cheerily uses another Metronome, hoping for something else nearly of that calibre. Instead, though, sparks appear around her glowing arms, and a thin tendril of electricity shoots from her hands and through Silver. Silver twitches, and attempts to take a step to stabilise his footing, but he finds himself unable to move his legs at all.
His hands, though, are mostly fine, for now. He waggles his own fingers, able to set up a rhythm even though his arms sometimes move later than he’d like or freeze for a second. It’s enough for his hands to glow, the signal that whatever he’s doing is working.
Several glowing, teardrop-shaped objects appear floating in front of him, the glow fading to reveal seeds. With a slight, jerky movement of his arm, Silver commands them to form into a small ball. Another wave sends the ball of seeds flying, smashing into her stomach. Aldonza doesn’t even have time to scream before the seeds split and plants shoot forth from the seeds. As if in an explosion, the plants throw the other seeds away from themselves, throwing Aldonza onto her back with them. She thinks she hears something crack when her head hits the pavement, but Aldonza isn’t sure.
After fighting off a sudden wave of dizziness, Aldonza slowly gets up. She wishes she could rub the back of her head to soothe the pain, but her arms can’t reach. Instead, she goes for the revenge route, waving her hands until they glow. Again, sparks crackle around her glowing arms, and an orb of electricity grows between her hands. It expands, blindingly bright and trying to expand and break away from Aldonza’s hold over it. It keeps growing until Aldonza feels she can no longer keep hold over it, and she releases the sphere.
The electric ball rockets toward Silver, knocking him over. Electricity shoots through his body, and he flails on the ground, muscles spasming out of control. He suddenly finds himself having even more difficulty moving, unable to rock himself back onto his feet. But once again, after a bit of struggling, he finds himself able to move his arms. That’s all he needs for his next Metronome, and the paralysis doesn’t get in the way before his hands glow white.
He stares toward the sun, feeling its warmth all over his body. But he’s suddenly more aware of the light against his skin and shell, and the abundance of energy the sun provides. He closes his eyes to get a better feel for it, and reaches out for it mentally, drawing it into his body and directing the energy to his wounds.
His skin darkens considerably (save for his glowing butt), and his numerous burns are quickly replaced with new flesh. All of his broken shell regenerates, but not before Aldonza can see the freshly-healed skin beneath. She gapes, watching all of her work get undone in less than a minute. She grits her teeth, glaring. It’s not
fair! Only the fact that he still can’t move appeases her a little bit – but even so, she would’ve liked to see some injuries on him that
stayed there.
