What a nice day for a battle, and two good friends have taken the opportunity to have a little fun. In the red corner, we have moon-panther, and in the blue corner, we have Zora of Termina, both ready to fight! Zora selects her Pokemon first, quickly plucking a Pokeball from her belt and tossing it into the ring, a small black-furred Vulpix taking shape, her yellow eyes calm and ready, levelled on the other trainer. Without hesitation, moon-panther selects her own Pokemon, releasing Halan the Riolu in a burst of light. The blue canine waves merrily at his opponent, who smiles.

Round one, begin!

+Round One+

Sheila moves first; her yellow eyes snapping open as wide as they will go, making Halan jump ever so slightly in surprise. He stares at her, a strange urge to sleep washing over him… No! He pulls his head away, shaking it to clear the sleepyness from it, and frowns at her. She frowns back, annoyed that her attack failed. Halan makes a face like he’s shocked she would try that, but then his face cracked into a grin. With a cry of ‘Rio!” The little pup jumps into the air. Sheila doesn’t quite know what’s coming, but starts to stumble backwards to get away from him.

There is a loud rumbling as the Riolu’s feet come back in contact with the earth, a powerful shockwave tearing at the ground, Sheila squeals and falls over from the initial shockwave, then is rattled by aftershocks, attempting to get to her feet. That little…

After the shaking stops, she gets to her feet and finds that… Halan is gone. She growls, just knowing that he’s up to something. She smirks. He’ll never see this coming! She’ll just protect herself from his attack, and then…well let’s just say it should be good. She tosses up a slivery-green protect bubble, waiting for the attack… waiting…

…

Still waiting here.

Guess not. She drops the bubble, wondering where the hell the mutt went.

The mutt, meanwhile, was lurking underground giggling, a wide grin on his face. She’d never see with coming! This will be great!

After waiting for a few more moments, he scrapes away more dirt with his paws, rocketing himself upwards, hoping to Arceus he’ll be in the right spot… and Bingo! Halan bursts out of the surface, the top of his head smacking into Sheila’s belly with a forceful impact, earning a loud cracking sound. Sheila howls, rolling back upright after falling on her back, flames licking out of the sides of her mouth. That little mutt… He’d pay!

Halan stood just to the left of the hole laughing, quite enjoying how things were going so far. He didn’t see the torrent of flames until it was too late. With a loud yelp, he tried to duck away from the searing flames, and ended up toppling back into the hole he had just rocketed out of.

Sheila gets to her feet carefully, testing her legs; she could walk, if it hurt a little bit. Now it was time to get back at the little Riolu, who was still giggling to himself at the bottom of his hole. The Vulpix poked her head carefully into the hole, and the two locked eyes. Sheila sent a powerful psychic signal directly into his mind; Love Me.

Halan’s mouth fell open; he’d never noticed how…pretty Sheila was before! All he could do was stare; his commands were lost in the haze of twue wuv currently clouding his brain. Sheila smirked.

Sheila backed a little bit away from the hole and grinned. This was going much, much better. She sat down and shut her eyes, gathering her metal energies, and then opened them again; ready. She reached out a psychic tendril and quickly found Halan’s mind, the tentacle of psychic power slipping into his head and wrenching powerfully at his nerves. The canine howled in pain and clutched his head. Where was his Sheila?! She would make his head stop hurting…

With a soft cackle, the black Vulpix started to make her way around the hole, running faster and faster, ignoring the sting in her chest. When she finally stopped, two identical copies were trotting behind her. Excellent. Halan poked his head out of the hole and his mouth fell open again; three Sheila! What luck! He stared at the three Vulpix, eyes sparking.

Sheila nodded briefly before acting on her orders, locking eyes with the Riolu. It wasn’t that easy to do, since he kept shifting his gaze from clone to clone to the real thing looking puzzled, but she managed it. After a moment of the psychic connection, Halan’s eyes started to slide shut and he flopped back into the hole, snoring.

The Riolu smiled happily in his sleep, tail wagging. His dream was so nice! Lots of little Riolu-Vulpix babies running around his feet… He sighed happily. Sheila stared down the hole at the grinning idiot for a moment, before laughing and taking a deep breath, After holding in the breath for a few moments, she exhaled, a powerful wave of superheated air washing over Halan. The Riolu whimpered and squirmed, and the burned patches on his small body spread slightly.

Sheila continued her mental assault without mercy; the Riolu was still snoring away in his hole, leaving himself wide open, his mind an easy victim. She pried her way inside and found the information of the last move he had used and locked it away.

Halan continued to snore peacefully.

The moment she has her orders, Sheila darts forward, peering down into the hole. The Riolu was fast asleep still. She chuckled, taking a deep breath, tapping into her fire sac. She exhaled sharply, sending a raging torrent of orange flames from her muzzle into the hole, torching Halan. The Riolu’s burns worsened, and he squealed in his sleep. Sheila retreated from the hole, smirking.

Halan, in his little dreamworld and still in his hole, started to mutter quietly, his face twitching a bit. Something deep in his mind stirred, and a weak psychic signal locked onto Sheila’s mind, showing him right where she was. He smiled in his sleep.

Unaware that anything had happened, however, Sheila decided it was time to go on the offensive again. She ran to the hole again, wincing as her side throbbed, but ignored it. When she reached the edge, she gathered all her psychic powers to her skull, making her forehead glow with a strange blue light. She dove into the hole and slammed her head down on Halan’s gut, knocking the wind out of the canine. He snapped awake, yelping at the sudden pain, and whimpered when he saw who had hit him; Sheila! His beloved! Why was she being so mean…? The Riolu whimpered and held out a paw, blue aura swirling in his palm. With a ‘Hiyaah!’, the little blue dog blasted the Aura Sphere right at the very surprised Sheila, shoving her out of the hole and onto the ground with a thud. She grunted, quite pissed off at the little brat now. And the hit had made her clones go away! How dare he?!

Halan started to climb out of the hole, wincing as he moved his burned body, and sat on the edge, looking up to see where Sheila had gone. He felt so bad for hurting her, he needed to apologize… He squeaked when he found her staring right at him, pure rage in her eyes. The look she gave him quite plainly said ‘If you ever use that attack on me again, so help me Arceus…’

Halan whimpered and started to apologize, forgetting his orders completely.

*rubs temples* It seems whenever I use you in a battle, you find some way to screw yourself. Soothe Bell is a god send when it comes to you. But I'm not giving up hope yet, no sir!

After, I want you to show her a new trick and defy the laws of gravity with a Magnet Rise. That should impress her some. Finally, with all the mud that the rain will make, let's get your new sweet heart a mud mask fascial. But be sure that you put that mud on hard and thick or it won't work to make her look even more beautiful my little sweetie.

If for any reason you can't use any of your attacks, swap them with a Earthquake. That will show her your mighty strength~

Wasting no time, Sheila gets to her feet yet again, and walks carefully towards Halan, a sly smile on her face. The Riolu stares at her, blue eyes wide and mouth hanging open slightly. She was so...pretty!

The Vulpix smirked, stopping a few inches in front of Halan and... spewing purple gunk in his face. Halan yowled, spitting out the foul-smelling substance and trying to shake it out of his fur to no avail. With a whimper, he retreats from Sheila, standing at the edge of the battlefield. He growled, his anger at the Vulpix peaking. How dare she treat him like crap! He loved her! Maybe...maybe she didn't really love him! She was just stringing him along. That... that witch!

With a growl, he started to preform an intricate dance, spinning and pulling off strange arm motions on the spot. Soon, a veritable monsoon was pouring down on the arena. Halan smirked at the look of dismay on the fire-type's face.

Sheila, meanwhile, was seething with anger. She was wet now, and that was not fun. She had to fix this. She tilted her head back, her yellow eyes locked on the sky above. A bright red beam burst from her eyes, dispersing the cloud almost immediately, and withing moments a powerful heatwave had descended on the battle. Halan let out a sound of annoyance; his hard work all gone!

He growled, pumping all his energy into his feet, and soon found himself hovering over the battlefield. He smirked at Sheila, who shot a scowl back.

Cocky puppy. Sheila thought, getting to her feet again. It was time to show him who's boss! She darted forward, gathering all her fire energy into her mouth, draining her fire sac as much as she could. When she was close enough to Halan, she let it all burst out. All Halan could manage to do was make an 'oh shit' face before the raging inferno washed over him, the powerful burst of fire too much for him to handle.

When the smoke had cleared, Sheila stood on the battlefield, wavering slightly and breathing heavily. Halan lay a foot away, unconscious and smoking. She glanced at the fallen Riolu and reilized...she'd won.

With a bright flash of light, both Pokemon were called back to their Pokeballs.
