Kusarigamaitachi Vs Grass King

Coloursfall

THIS IS HOW WE BLEED
1 v 1
DQ Time: One week
Damage Cap: None
Banned moves: All but Metronome
Arena: Mura City

The battle takes place on one of the busy streets of Mura, a straight, paved road lined with sidewalks and buildings. The road is closed off, much to the irritation of the numerous taxi drivers choking up the rest of the road-grid system, although people still stroll on the sidewalks to their destination.

The battle takes place in front of the Mura City Department Store, a building at least five storeys tall that receives the most human traffic, out of all the buildings on the street. Just down the street, there is a relatively tiny nameless thrift store, a Tracey's clothing store, and a coffee shop. The other side is lined with a True Tauros fast food restaurant, its rival Meaty Miltank, several more clothing stores, and a hotel. Looming skyscrapers can be seen on other blocks, to help gauge destruction in the distance, although the smaller filler buildings between them are difficult to see. Around them are more hotels, stores, restaurants, nightclubs, food stands, and the usual city fare.

Mura City contains several distant special targets. A large, busy pokemon centre is just begging for disaster, and a high-roofed gym is looking for another incident to put it in the headlines. The most points, however, go to whoever can first destroy the largest police department in the region and the adjacent prison.

Although surrounded by noise, pollution, and people, nothing will - ideally - interrupt the battle, although some wannabe-crimefighters and police officers will sure try once the first meteor or energy beam falls from the sky.

Pokemon begin with 250% energy, but cannot chill.

Okay, then, since this battle is nothing but an excuse to destroy the place.

We'll start off small with a spacial rend, followed by a roar of time and a judgment.

No, she's already stuck in a battle thats been lost in limbo. Besides whats the fun of a Metronome battle, with out a bringer of doom Togepi?

Anyway, use a Draco Meteor for ultra cool points, since it should destroy the city. Then a Seed Flare, and finish off with your own Judgement.

—Prebattle—

Welcome to the scenic Mura City, a place of much shopping, food, fun, and…Pokemon battles? It seems that part of the street has been sectioned off for a battle of chance to take place; a Metronome battle. On one end of the street stands Kusa, Pokéball in hand and a confident smirk on it’s face. On the other end stands Grass King, frowning at his opponent. The referee appears after much delay, and the two battlers sigh with relief; they’ve been here ages!

The referee waves her flags, and the trainers send out their Pokemon; Kusa a grinning Aipom, who lands deftly on his tail and makes a face at Grass King, and Grass King a small Togepi, to stands staring up at the massive department store. Another wave of the flags and the battle begins!

—Round One Begin—

Lv 15 the Aipom acts first, waggling his paws back and forth as they glow white for a moment, then change to a light blue. A pair of spectral wings bursts from the Aipom’s back, who cackles with glee, and send him rocketing towards poor unsuspecting Aglaia head first. The impact is a hard one, and sends the Togepi rolling backwards, squeaking, and the Aipom to land with an abrupt thud on the ground as the wings are gone, rubbing his head – that hurt!

Aglaia gets to her feet, angry and sore now, and waggles her own tiny limbs, which shine white, then fade into a dark purple-blue. Lv 15 tilts his head at the colour and hops back onto his tail, ignoring the ache in his head, wonder what’s about to happen. He yelps in surprise as a pair of ghostly Salamence-like claws suddenly appear over Aglaia’s own hands, and the small Pokemon rushes forward, slamming them into Lv 15’s lower torso. He squeals, then growls at the Togepi for making him make such an undignified sound. How dare she! He waggles his hands again, and they turn the same blue shade as before.

Lv 15 can feel the back of his throat get itchy, so he opens his mouth; much to his – and Aglaia’s – surprise, a massive concentrated burst of air as sharp as razors comes spouting forth, and a whoop of glee can be heard from Kusa’s side of the arena. The Aeroblast slams into little Aglaia hard, and shoves her backwards into one of the glass windows of the department store, which shatters. The Togepi squeals in pain and staggers out of the shattered glass, careful not to cut herself, and glares daggers at Lv 15, who giggles madly, quite pleased.

With another wiggle of her fingers and an olive-green glow, Aglaia summons a swirling vortex of wind full of tiny shimmering dust particles, and directs it at Lv 15 with a point of her hand. It bowls him over and makes him bonk his head, and some of the scales get into his mouth, making him spit; they taste horrible. A few of the glimmering particles cling to Aglaia and absorb into her body, pumping her up. She smirks; this’ll show that bag of fleas.

Lv 15 gets to his feet and frowns, but wiggles his paws again, which just glow white. Right next to the Aipom, a semi-transparent copy appears out of thin air, startling both himself and Aglaia, who frowns. Lv 15 decides this would be fun, and bounces on his tail and snickers as the copy does the same. Aglaia is not so happy.

She wiggles her hands again, and they gleam grey. A pair of wigs, much like the ones Lv 15 had summoned earlier, appear on her back and pull her upwards. They shine like steel, and she grins widely, diving at Lv 15. But the Substitute hops in the way, and the attack sends it a good few feet away, skidding over broken glass towards the Department store. It gets up, looking rather battered, but still whole (even if there are glass shards stuck in it’s back).

Of all the legendary moves in existence, you went with aeroblast? D: A piffling mach punch could probably break a window.

But yes, keep that togepi between yourself and the department store. Any attacks that miss or shove him back will at least hit the windows, and if the togepi ends up smacking into one, it might cause some extra damage from the impact or the glass.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My, hasn't this been here for awhile. Both competitors look highly unamused as the unwitting new ref strolls onto the scene; obviously coerced by Kusa's...... Something. Obviously. It's always its fault. If nothing else, Lv15 seems to be ecstatic, as he cheers and woops as if to egg her on to continue...... or... perhaps not - the small critter seems to be facing Aglaia, hands glowing as he hurls a loud 'WOOP' over to his opponent. It seems the simian jumped the gun a little.. but to little use, as Aglaia gives him a headtilted glare - how was she supposed to react? She wasn't allowed to pull anything but Metronome off, anyway. Well, may as well give him what he wants.
Waggling her finger with a mocking flourish, a solid *Crack* was heard as three seperate fist-sized chunks of concrete ripped themselves from the sidewalk, floating over to and hovering around Aglaia's head for a moment. With her brow raised and a shifty smirk, the little eggbeast throws her stubby little arm in Lv15's direction. In an instant, the Aipom's double leaps in front of its host as the concrete is hurled at his head at a frightening speed. The first chunk smacks the purple poser straight in the face with an utterly satisfying bone-crunching *CRACK*, sending it flying backwards shortly before the second lands a solid hit right in the gut, where the third goes whizzing past both - and takes down an old lady whom was attempting to cross the street (Also a rather satisfying crunch, mind you). However, two hits was more than the already battered clone could take - and with a puff of purple smoke, it disappeared, spilling the glass and foreign implements that had dug into its back onto the ground beneath.
<Lv15 ~ -4E>
<Aglaia ~ -6E>
Well that certainly looked unpleasant... for his clone, at least. And maybe that old lady. Lv15 is in just the sort of bouncy gigglefit one might expect from an Aipom, as his mile-wide grin cuts into the miffed-looking Togepi across from him, upset by her lack of any -real- damage. Bouncing back and forth, one arm on his hip and the other waving frantically, Aglaia begins to notice it getting a bit... windy. She shuffles nervously for a moment, before suddenly begin flung into the air - an eruption of sharp wind twirling all around her, its howling sounding like a dragon's roar... But, that's about all it had to it - the attempt was decidedly pathetic, and Agla looks more annoyed than anything as she swatted at the flailing tendrils of wind that managed to clip her face. This is, of course, until a chunk of glass embeds itself into the side of her head. As the small twister slowly drifts back and forth, it seems to have begun to pick into the pool of shattered glass which had been sitting behind the unfortunate Togepi. Things had suddenly gotten far, far worse - as the twister became little more than a spinning cone of glass shards, it may as well have been a blender to Aglaia. Over the next few moments she is assaulted by sharp implements, some embedding themselves into her face, hands, and feet, and others simply grazing her fragile hide and riddling her with nasty looking cuts - the protection her shell offers is little condolence to the rest of her body.
Finally, the wind lets up all at once - the shards of glass flying omni-directionally outwards and dispersing heavily all around the general area, while the curled up egg at its centre is dropped harshly to the ground. Lv15 looks absolute ecstatic as he continues to bounce around, gleeful of the pain he's managed to cause. Pulling a particularly large shard of glass out of her hand with a wince, Aglaia shoots the little bum monkey an absolute death-glare, and weakly proceeds to waggle her finger in his general direction; if Togepi actually had fingers, anyway, but you know which one she's implying. Moments later, she seems to have sprouted a pair of ethereal, dragonfly-like wings, which immediately begin to flap and pulse violently. So much so, in fact, that the air around her starts looking distorted from a distance. Lv15 quickly covers his ears, but it's no use - the vicious vibrations shake him to the very core, rattling his internal organs and coursing up his spine, causing a great deal of pain. When it finally ends, the Aipom collapses to his knees, whining and panting trying to regain his breath from his quivering lungs.
<Lv15 ~ -8HP / -4E>
<Aglaia ~ -9HP / -8E>
A bit less hyped but nonetheless hyper, Lv15 gets back to his feet - shooting Aglaia a grimace and waving his arm, the air around him seems to take an impressive sheen, giving his coat a mirror-like glow. Aglaia just must not have the spirit for fun, poor kid... and apparently, neither does Metronome, as his attack wears its course and all he's left with is a shinier coat.
Aglaia, on the other hand, seems to have had a great deal of fun knocking her opponent down a notch, and throwing another shard of blood-stained glass to the side, she begins waggling her finger once more. This time, her hand glows a brilliant red - and without warning, a sudden condensed fireball flies from her finger to a bang that sounds like a cannon being fired. Lv15 has almost no time to react as he covers his face just in time to be engulfed in a vicious, firey explosion. Thick, black smoke rises as the fire finally disperses, a cackling Aglaia looking on to her charred opponent, sitting in a small crater of shattered pavement. He doesn't look quite as cooked as he should, but nonetheless, a satisfying show - as sirens now ring through the city streets, and a few of the surrounded planters have caught fire.
- The glass from the broken window has been flung around all over the place in the aftermath of the small Twister. Lv15 sits in a small crater from the Fire Blast's explosion, and some of the planets on the sidewalk have caught fire. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Uncurling with a whine, Lv15 springs upwards, grabbing at his tail and blowing at a residual flame which held out at its tip. That egg baby was like condensed, hard-boiled evil - and that cackling. Someone just.. shut her up! Picking up a large chunk of pavement from his custom-fit crater, Fifteen opts to simply lob a rock at her head. Aglaia doesn't notice until it's good late, and with a resounding *KLUNK* she's bowled over backwards, a new nasty looking welt for her head trauma count.
Rolling side to side for a moment, Aglaia looks rather pathetically out of the count. Fifteen crosses his arms and snorts mockingly. Is that all? DO I SMELL SOILED BABY DIAPER? ...Except, it was getting darker. Much darker, actually - and looking skywards Fifteen has just enough time to take note of a rather ominous patch of storm clouds forming overhead before he's smacked in the face by a huge hunk of ice, causing him to bowl over backwards spectacularly. Car alarms can be heard going off and windows shattering and bystanders run for the nearest cover as Aglaia gets herself up for one more cackling session before being pasted in the face by a hailstone all her own.
<Lv15 ~ -2HP / -6E>
<Aglaia ~ -5HP / -5E>
That last blow to the head must have done some damage - as Fifteen pulls himself up again, he begins to stumble over to Aglaia - who is wincingly nursing her various head wounds. With a bizarre wobble, he begins to... strut? Oh dear gods. Yes, it would appear Fifteen is attempting to.. allure, his opponent. His.. baby... opponent. Kusa, you're getting smacked with child abuse and paedophilia charges something major.
Aglaia on the other hand, isn't so much captivated as she is.. utterly terrified. How was she supposed to focus on killing this thing when it's doing... that. Waving a finger which could very well have doubled as a 'No Means No', she begins to glow an absolutely blinding white. Fifteen has to stop and cover his eyes, and the scene itself looks like a mini-nova has formed right in the middle of the street, casting deep shadows off everything in its way. Finally, with a muffled explosion, the light radiates outwards in all directions - washing over Fifteen, sending the debris in the general area flying outwards, and probably blinding anyone within a mile radius. Fifteen simply panics and hops about - albeit not visibly to anyone else - and although the attack could be described as 'uncomfortably warm', it still managed to sting and burn his skin in such a way that would probably make it very unpleasant should it happen again.
When all is said and done, Aglaia.. is cut off, this time, as she receives first serving of hail and gets plugged right in the back of the head. Fifteen, who is hobbling backwards, isn't spared either - as he receives a nasty hit right up top and proceeds to stumble around, gritting his teeth and clutching at his head.
<Lv15 ~ -6HP / -4E>
<Aglaia ~ -2HP / -8E>
With more than enough head trauma to go around, Fifteen isn't quite in the mood to take his hands away as he tries his best to dance around the barrage of miniature ice boulders raining from the sky. He does, however, still have a trick - and as he goes, he swings his tensile tail around in such a way that the hand-like pom seems to mimic the arcane finger-waggling going on this match, and seems to get his wish as his entire tail begins glowing a vibrant green. Aglaia looks completely out of it as Fifteen prances over... but not THAT out of it - as if she was going to get another whap upside the head, at the last moment as Fifteen is winding up a heavy strike she rolls out of the way just in time to avoid being smashed.
Aglaia doesn't look happy at all at the attempts at her head, in fact, she looks downright scary - and as Fifteen swears at his lack of improbable aiming skill, he can't help but stop up to glare. That thing is well and truly EVIL, what in the name of-
But as it goes, as both have stopped up, both get plastered by the obligatory ice chunk. Geez, it's like these things have homing capabilities or something.
Fifteen wobbles and swears, now he's even being scolded! Why, his trainer is just jealous that it'll never be this sexy. ((The Ref, meanwhile, can be heard gagging in the background)) Well fine then, time for a new approach. Baby likes flashing lights? She can have em, and before long Fifteen has taken an even more mirror-like sheen - all the light that managed to drain into the city street seeming to collectively reflect off him as if it was being drawn in. Before long, he's managed his own mini-nova lightshow - and with an almost lacklustre, yet bizzarely fitting 'Pew' it all leaves his body at once, the concentrated ball of light energy shooting towards Aglaia at frightening speeds and exploding on impact into a burst of blinding lights and sparkles.
Aglaia covers her eyes and bounces about, the energy stinging her skin and obscuring her vision like some kind of otherwordly firework. When all is said and done, she's left with a killer migraine - and a killer bloodlust. She gives her finger a wave, and almost immedietely from nowhere some sort of energy beam collects in her hand. It almost looks like.. a bone? But it didn't matter to her what it may have been, and without hesitation she sprints to Fifteen, giving a powerful swing and clubbing him right over the head, the bone almost immedietely evaporating. Fifteen almost certainly has a concussion by now - and the magic homing hail isn't helping either, as both him and Aglaia are buffeted by a dense shower of small icy bits.
<Lv15 ~ -7HP / -7E>
<Aglaia ~ -5HP / -5E>
Almost immedietely as the hail has finished pelting the two combatants, Fifteen decides to take on a rather startling initiative - and with a quick whip of his tail and a faked-slap across Aglaia's face, he jumps back from his absolutely startled opponent. 'What the hell was that?!' Thought Aglaia, as she quivers and shakes her head out.
Fifteen isn't going to let his chance go to waste - and with a primal roar which sounds highly out of place originating from a purple monkey, charges his opponent - wispy blue claws bared. Aglaia tries to back off, but just can't avoid the assault, and receives a nasty slash right across the face. Squealing, she redoubles, backing off with a spurt of speed which seems improbable for a Togepi, seeming to have an air current on her side. Of course as it goes, she can't outrun the hail, and eventually takes another large chunk to the back of the head - while Fifteen dances about as smaller fragments continue pelting him.
- Fun fact: even with Fifteen at -2 speed and with Tailwind in effect Togepi STILL fails to outrun it. It's currently roughly 40 versus 42.5 speed
- Your go Kusa, get a Magma Storm or something huh?
Yeah, sounds like we're about due for a magma storm - make sure you're the one to claim it! Though a dark void and nightmare might be more your style. Probably won't even need the move nightmare, with what you've been doing, really.
But don't beat her too fast - try and make it last another six rounds without dying yourself, for maximum profit... not that that matters as much as destroying the city and perhaps spilling her intestines all over the broken glass, of course.
As if Fifteen wasn't creepy enough, he's about to turn it up to eleven. Reaching behind his back and into gods know where (For the sake of mine and everyone's sanity please, please let's assume a packet of distorted space-time), he manages to reveal a menagerie of small, brightly wrapped gifts held out in both arms. With a paedo-smile which could probably only be more appropriate if he were trying to coax Aglaia into his van with candy, he offers them up to her casually, head tilted to one side just to freak everyone out even MORE.
Naturally, Aglaia isn't too keen on being lured by this creeper - and now it's just gotten absurd. Fifteen opts for the next best approach.. and lobs the gifts straight at her head. Squeaking and covering her face, Aglaia is more than pleasantly surprised to -not- take another blow to the head. Actually, she feels a bit refreshed, as she opens her eyes to see that the gifts had burst into showers of ribbons and confetti just before striking her; bathing her in a comforting aura that seemed to soothe some of her previous wounds. Fifteen, naturally, pouts at this development; that's not what was supposed to happen!
But this was just another trick to get her in the van, she knew it! No means no you freakin' perv! Suddenly, Aglaia was looking rather terrifying again as.. spikes, started to sprout from her arms. Fifteen was taken aback, with a certain look of 'Easy there' crossing his face - but that just wasn't going to cut it, as she charges him down with a screech, decking Fifteen with a mean right hook and implanting numerous nasty quills into his cheek.
<Lv15 ~ -6HP / -4E>
<Aglaia ~ +4HP / -5E>
Fifteen is apparently insistent, despite his having to pull a few thorns from his face with muffled swears - he quickly generates even more gift packages from gods know where. Aglaia looks a bit smug this time, even with Fifteen cutting right to the chase and lobbing them her way. Naturally, she wasn't expecting this set to explode in her face - rather literally, as small firebombs go off as each one bursts, causing her to shriek and curl into herself as she's bombarded by the unnaturally cheery and festive explosives.
Fifteen seems far more satisfied, naturally, so much so that he doesn't seem to notice the ground starting to shake... Aglaia's hands were still glowing green - and soon her whole body followed suit. What finally caught Fifteen's attention, however, was when the trees which were planted in spaces in the concrete started to quiver and move as if they had come alive. Nervously, he backed up closer to the centre of the street - but it wasn't any use. If any parts of the street were not already cracked and torn, they were now - and as the trees began to swing violently, even more vines and roots shot from the ground, sending more multitudes of debris into the air. Pipes under the street burst, sending waves of water into the air before quickly being plugged - errant branches smashed into windows, doors, cars and anything they could find - one even lifted a car and threw it into the distance, where it decidedly crashed straight through the stadium roof with a deafening crash. And Fifteen was in the middle of all this - surrounded by an inescapable wall of vines. Before long, they began to beat on him, picking him up and smashing him around mercilessly. But a show like this can't continue for very long - and before long, the noise dies down and the sentient foliage droops to the ground, dropping Fifteen in place and leaving only Aglaia's cackling to fill the air.
<Lv15 ~ -14HP / -6E>
<Aglaia ~ -8HP / -14E>
Fifteen isn't in too much of a mood to move after an assault like that... but neither is Aglaia - and his opponent actually stops cackling on her own this time to take time to fall backwards, panting, in order to rest. It seems it was a little too taxing to wield that sort of control, and she offered little response as Fifteen limped over. With a snort, he simply whipped himself around, smacking her straight across the face with an open pom-palm strike of his tail, karate chop style. Squealing, Aglaia just rolls backwards - and with an added casualty to boot, as a small chunk of her shell is cracked off and left behind. More than a little annoyed, the spiteful monkey simply throws it back at her as she lays back to continue recuperating.
<Lv15 ~ -2HP / -6E>
<Aglaia ~ -9HP>
On the up side, with one last barrage - the hail seems to have finally let up; albeit, by now it seemed like little more than background noise.
Okay Agalia, now we're getting somewhere. But, it's still not good enough. If you can manage an Aura Sphere, or something fighting, then we should be able to beat him. However, don't forget the primary objective. Cause destruction!
-------------------------------------
Level Fifteen has had enough fooling around. His funny little creeper act (as he, for one, thinks of it) isn't doing much for him. And worse, barely any of this calamity is his work. He needs to turn his act around and be the hero, or the captive audience is just going to keep focussing on Plant Girl. Maybe if he can just downplay the awesomeness of Aglaia's overgrown weeds; start a fire or something. And so the Aipom crosses his tail-fingers for something mind-blowing to steal the spotlight and lets his arms begin to wave. Tick, tock, tick. And they don't stop waving. They flail about even faster, glowing a warm gray, and he can't stop them for the life of him. Well, this hardly looks heroic, but it'll have to do for now. He runs toward his opponent and aims his wild arms in the general vicinity of her head, predictably enough, knocking the head injury count up to eleven as he knocks the Togepi about.
But Aglaia barely acknowledges these new blows. She's far too preoccupied to take much notice of anything so routine. Her forest, her wonderful, terrible trees and vines and underbrush, stands motionless around her once more. Some of the buildings caught in the frenzy are even still more or less intact. But she knows that she, on the other hand, can never go back to the way she was. She has tasted a certain power, and she wants more, so much more. Heck, some of the buildings caught in the frenzy are even more or less intact—a few branches through windows here and there, but hardly a testament to the raw power of Mother Nature.
So she waves her stubby little arms—tock, tick, tock—and prays to the powers that be, whatever powers may be, to be so generous again. And lo and behold, her arms take on a glow greener, more verdant than any before. All the leaves begin to rustle as the smoggy urban air rushes down towards Aglaia in a whirlwind. She sucks the pollution into her shell, which becomes steadily blacker and blacker until the triangle pattern disappears; all the while, the newly-purified air rushes upward and away to make room for more air in need of cleaning. The entire process gradually picks up speed until leaves are blowing off the trees and Fifteen is tumbling toward the Togepi, flailing his limbs against the ground to keep himself from skidding.
Then, all at once, the cyclone dies down and Aglaia explodes in a huge burst of sunny yellow-green. A powerful shockwave of grass-type energy surges outward from her in a hemisphere as she purges all the grunge built up in her body. It sears through Fifteen, bowling him over and leaving him with something like an extreme case of hay fever. It doesn't stop there, of course. All the plants in the area, as enormous as they aready are, stir to life again and resume their absurd growth. Windows shatter and buildings crumble as roots force their way through their foundations. A few acorns in Fifteen's vicinity spring to life; in a matter of seconds, two-foot-tall trees stand where they were. Meanwhile, the instant those acorns started moving, Fifteen forgot his sickness and shot off like a bullet. He was too busy making sure they weren't following him to look where he was going, however, and he got himself lodged between the trunks of two trees growing way too close together. Now they're squeezing the life out of the screeching, thrashing Aipom in their efforts.
As the mayhem dies down, Fifteen comes out of it feeling more exhausted and flattened than a used-up tube of toothpaste, but not too much worse off on the whole. He's made of tougher stuff than these shops. Not that that's saying much. Still, though, leave it to Cabbage Patch Kid to make a show of things. The street isn't even a street anymore; it's just a big tangle of roots. Now his only hope to score some good destruction is to devastate the... grove, that works. "Forest" gives it too much credit. A Sacred Fire would befit a hero nicely, but at this point, he'd even settle for that Magma Storm. Anything to turn this competition around. He manages to wriggle his arms free to wave them, hoping this "tick tock tick" finally does the trick, since he might not even get another. With a sudden rush of strength, Fifteen pulls himself free, arms glowing a sinewy brown. His desperation turns to confidence—it's definitely not gone, it is his confidence—and he charges at Aglaia, ready to take out the self-proclaimed Grass King's little princess. Said princess is too busy fashioning herself a leaf crown to notice until the Aipom is upon her, shrieking bloody murder. With an almighty blow, he sends her flying headlong into a tree. That was a proper heroic blow to the head, he thinks. No way she can ignore one of those.
Aglaia swears, wobbling in what she's pretty sure is Fifteen's general direction, that her first act as supreme ruler of nature will be to execute this heretic. It takes a few tries to get her arms to wave properly in unison, but eventually she gets them to glow blue and produce a satisfactory mysterious tock tick tock. And suddenly she finds herself in control of water as well, bending the water her plants freed from the pipes to her will. Excellent. Exactly as as she should expect, being supreme nature ruler. She gathers up all the water in the area in a tidal wave more impressive than her wildest dreams. It looms wonderfully over the dissenter and crashes down upon him with all the might of the sea.
Fifteen shakes himself dry after having been swept briefly off his feet by that little splash of a wave. He doesn't really get what Aglaia's laughing so madly about, but it doesn't matter. He's so close. He just needs to pull something destructive out of his sleeve. Hell, even a measly Ember would do. It only takes a spark to start a fire. He waves his arms as dramatically as arms can possibly be waved.
Tick, tock, tick.
And they instantly burst into such brilliant red light that for a moment, he thinks they've burst into flame themselves. He sighs in relief when he realizes it's just his hair on fire.
His hair is on fire. The stray fluff on top of his head has lit up, blazing, impossibly, in a great V shape. Right. Hero. He's a hero. He's watched all the hero movies. He's got this. He charges down his enemy one final time, delivering a blazing headbutt of righteous fury. Then, without skipping a beat, he starts rolling around, trying to set the forest floor on fire, but to no avail. Everything's too wet, and his flame began to die the moment he delivered his final strike, both on his head and in his heart. The villain lies defeated, a great V-scorch on her shell, but her terrible jungle lives on.
And there's nothing Level Fifteen can do about it. Though our hero may have won the battle, he has truly lost today. He falls to his knees and shakes his fists at the heavens, but the heavens can't see his fists shake through the canopy.
Epilogue
Aglaia comes to the next day in a remote Pokémon Center safely far away from the scene of the crime. She sits up, dazed, and finds herself in a crib in a corner of a small, white room filled with other cribs like hers. A window is open beside her crib, letting in bright morning sunshine and a bit of a breeze, making a potted poppy on the windowsill sway a little.
She doesn't recognize any of it. What... happened? As she tries to rack her aching brain for any hint of a memory, a Chansey in a nurse hat walks in, and she happens to be holding a newspaper... with the remains of downtown Mura on the front page. Everything comes flooding back. Oh god. Did anyone figure out it was all her? There's a good chance nobody did. In the midst of all that commotion, who would've taken the time to notice a little Togepi scurring around? Yeah. Yeah, everything's gonna be fine. But she's swearing off nature forever. She never wants to see another plant again.
The Chansey lifts the side of the crib, and Aglaia seizes the opportunity to grab on, jump to the other side, and scurry up onto the windowsill. She heaves the flowerpot out the window, then slams the window shut with all her might. But before she can pull the curtains shut, she realizes just what she's looking at. Trees. Nothing but gigantic trees as far as she can see, and that's not really all that far through the thick growth. But it's far enough to horrify her. The Chansey, reaching awkwardly up on tiptoe to lift the naughty Togepi down from her precarious perch, barely manages to catch her as she passes out again.
Notes:
  • Surf was only 50 power, a little stronger than Water Gun, because there wasn't really "a decent body of water" around. (A full-power Surf still would've left Lv 15 with 3% health.)
  • Bluh. I thought this was gonna be so awesome and it just kind of ended up a big fluffy mess. It... got away from me.
  • I tried to mix the A&A Guide's description of Seed Flare with the way it worked in the Shaymin movie.
  • Togepi head trauma final count: 12.
  • Kusari gets $8, Grass King gets $3, and I think (EDIT: yep) all three of us refs get $2 (on top of the $11 I get for this reffing). Also, Lv 15 gets 2 exp, and Aglaia gets 1 exp (and more importantly, 1 happiness).
Energy and Damage:
  • Lv 15's health: 28% - 12% (Seed Flare) - 9% (Surf) = 7%
  • Lv 15's energy: 169% - 7% (DoubleSlap) - 8% (Reversal) - 11% (V-Create) = 143%
  • Aglaia's health: 35% - 7% (DoubleSlap) - 13% (Reversal) - 16% (V-Create) = -1%
  • Aglaia's energy: 165% - 9% (Seed Flare) - 4% (Surf) = 152%
