• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Bringing back the forum - the good, the bad, the ugly

If I'm honest, I believe that drama will never go away, and has always been intense and around regardless of the cultural climate. To me, drama is moreso the result of the negative emotions that run through us all. It isn't just about attention-seeking, but sometimes can result from genuine...

Bringing back the forum - the good, the bad, the ugly

Ever since forums have largely died off, I have felt incredibly lost in life. Perhaps this will sound incredibly pathetic, but it was this place that defined my teenage years, and the forum I joined after it defined my early young adulthood. As someone who has had immense trouble socializing...

Well, honestly, the way the story goes downhill is so blatantly terrible that I'm not sure how it was even allowed to be released in such a state. All I can say without spoiling too much is that it is literally repeating the same events five or so times. And the gameplay suffers from that...

Thanks! I'm glad you like her. I'm also surprised someone actually read my tiny blog entry and agrees with me! Thank you for reading it as well. We did already attempt Bravely Default a few years ago and well... it wasn't something I enjoyed, sadly. The gameplay was all right, but the story...

    The Twitter Thread

https://twitter.com/Arylett Sometimes I post there. Most of it's art, because I am not really a social media person. Don't care about retweets or whatever it is the kids talk about nowadays.

What do you think of fellow forumgoers? (Again!)

Brings me back... might as well pay my respects. Really, this forum was a huge part of me back in the day, for better or worse. Probably the person I recall respecting the most is Kratos Aurion for an unwavering dedication to her work, as well as being well-spoken and intellectual. I still feel...

You don't really have to thank me. But thanks for the thanks. Glad you appreciated it.

How did you get into Pokemon?

I caught the anime on TV, became utterly obsessed, and collected everything Pokemon related. This included buying a Gameboy that came with Pokemon Silver, my first Pokemon game. Back in 2000ish. Still into it, because even when I am disappointed by things like Generation VI, I still can't help...

    Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon

Cubone and Pikachu don't have Alolan forms. The Japanese trailer showed their regular versions evolving into the Alolan versions. I'm okay with Exeggcute and Pikachu, since they retain a type upon evolving. But Marowak really makes no sense. Changing types completely? That stuff is usually...

    Twitter

It's still the same old Twitter, but now I've actually started using it. Go there to see me say things that are inconsequential and irrelevant.

What makes you role-play / What do you look for in a role-play?

I do it because of all the possibilities. Writing stories by myself is very taxing and I often lose motivation. I always know what's going to happen when I write it. But with others, I get to experience unpredictability. It excites me when somebody else does something I didn't expect, and I have...

    Potential Live-Action Pokémon Movie

Re: Potential Live-Action Pokémon Movie Must everything be made into live action? I think some things just aren't suitable to be adapted into other medium. It's like if you tried to adapt a heavy action-based series into a book. It wouldn't work as well because action is better done in visuals...

So, Nintendo's now doing a type personality quiz.

I got Psychic. Very accurate. Totally pleased with it.

    Your Life since Joining TCoD

Anything before I first joined this forum is but a distant memory. It contributed much to my personality, my woes, and my happiness in the days I was active. Since then, I have improved much. Therapy, medication, the general increase of maturity in aging, and having somebody who truly loves...

Yep. I'd highly recommend it though. It's probably been the most interesting, creativity-inspiring game I've ever played. The gameplay is nothing to write home about, but the setting and world building is so imaginative and original. Story's great too, like a good anime.
