Aureus opened his eyes. He was sleeping in a bed in the "Gym" of Ecruteak City.

He had called out to the other Guardians who wanted to escape overnight. He then phased through a wall and climbed up onto the curved roof.

Aureus snickered and one of his tails twitched; he knew no one would come.

But you never know.

Ayden silently walked into Ecruteak. The call that had been sent out overnight still lingered in his mind. Calling all the Guardians together seemed like a completely plausible idea to escape from this horrible...place, if you will. Nevertheless, he thought about what could go wrong for them. Maybe the Guardians didn't want to cooperate. Maybe the idea of escape would be too much to handle. Maybe...he sighed slowly, and figured it'd be best not to overthink this.

Reverting back to the normal world, Ayden glanced at each building until he saw one that he recognized as the resident Gym. The call told them to meet here, and, as expected, someone stood on the curved roof. As Ayden got closer, he immediately recognized the nine-tailed one.

"Well, if it isn't the one and only Aureus. I had no idea you were the one making the call."

Liza snapped her fingers and a small electrical spark eminated from it. She had always liked controling electricity, but now she just wanted to get out. Even though being in here was supposed to be a good thing, she believed only one good thing came out of it for her. 'I wonder if Leon is going to try and escape too...' she thought standing up. She has recived a message to meet in the Ecrutek Gym if they had wanted to escape. "Well, I had better head there now." She was standing somewhere around Ecrutek, she was pretty sure of that.

"Ayden, Ayden, Ayden. Of course it's me, darling."

He leaped down from the rather low roof, snickering rather loudly.

"What else would you expect from me?" Aureus whispered in Ayden's ear.

Karae liked high places. They were as close to the sky as she could get now, and it was easiest to just sit on a roof, or in a tree, and picture herself flying through the air. She would get there someday - she knew it, just as she knew other things, like what kind of winds resulted in which sort of clouds, and how high they were, and all sorts of things about the weather.

My knowledge is not yours to use.

The voice was feminine and accusing, a rebuke without any fury but a sort of chilling anger. Karae was used to hearing it.

"We're the same now, together always, right? Nothing can change that, and I can't help it if I remember things you know," she said aloud. "Do you want to leave here? Fly in a real sky?"

It would be far better for you to stay imprisoned here forever.

"But then you wouldn't be free, and I know you want to be free~" The voice fell silent, brooding, and she ignored it, letting the wings on her head spread out for a moment. "There was supposed to be a meeting..." The odd conversation finished, she got to her feet, coiling her tail around her waist and moved forward. This city was nice for places to sit on a roof, with all sorts of high buildings with comfortable roofs to sit on without any fear of falling off. Moving forward, she spotted people gathering, and walked towards them, letting her wings furl again.

She should have known the others well, but their names tended to elude her. She didn't talk to them much, and just watched, usually. They were fun to watch, but she sometimes felt like they all knew what they wanted to do, and she was the only one who just wandered.

Well, she wanted to fly, but that wasn't the same thing. All of these people wanted to escape, and she could understand that, because this place wasn't perfect - could a place be imperfect because it was too perfect? Could something be perfect and not perfect at the same time? - and it bothered her, when she looked up at the sky. For now, she kept quiet, just watching them, head lowered slightly so her horn was a tiny bit less visible. It bothered her too, not perfect because it existed, but was in between, not long enough to be a proper horn, but still there...

If they escaped, would she be able to change that? Probably not. But maybe the world outside was more perfect than this one. Was it?

How odd. She couldn't remember.

Ayden stood still, letting a snarl past his lips as he heard "darling". His normal demeanor reasserted itself as Aureus whispered in his ear.

"I expected something more...I don't know...solitary. You're not one for organized efforts. From what I've seen, you like to work alone. What changed?" Ayden said, walking over and leaning against the Gym.

He began to wonder if any more Guardians would show up, and he stared at the sky. Ayden's thoughts soon began to wander again, before he adjusted his gaze down and noticed the girl who happened to be loitering about.

"Well, Aur, I admit, I didn't expect anyone else to appear. Good job." Ayden groaned. His voice hinted with a slight bit of sarcasm.

"You wanna know what happened? I decided I want to get the heck outta here."

Aureus leaned against the wall of the gym.

"Hey, I didn't even expect you to show up, Ayden, much less a random kid." He pointed at the wandering girl. Aureus grinned slyly.

"Why am I going through with this?" Amaterasu mumbled to herself, "There have been nothing but empty promises here."

She noticed a figure jump down from the roof and whispering into another figure's ear.

"Were you the one who summoned us?" she asked, "You want to get out of here, huh?"

She let out a sarcastic laugh.

"As if! I guess you haven't recognized that this is our fate yet." she sighed.

Reginald Seiteri stood on top of a building in Ecruteak. This building was right next to the City's Gym, and he could see that several others had already shown up at the building, and two were conversing.

"This is a surprise," Reggie said to nobody in particular, "I honestly thought that nobody would be stupid enough to respond to the call that I received last night."

"You're speaking as if you know that the call went out to more than one. How do we know that this isn't a contrived coincidence?"

Reggie narrowed his eyes at the voice of his Bronzong, Gary.

"There's no way that nobody would know that I'm here, Gary. I've made most of my movements a secret the past three years. If I am seen, the fact that I display no obvious traits of you would make them suspicious."

"Suspicious of what?"

"That I'm working against them. We don't know how the system is seen by these... guardians. If they're approached by a human that has no obvious Pokemorph traits, the results could be... messy."

"You assume too much, Reggie. This system is the same for everyone. I've told you that once, I've told you that a thousand times."

"I know. I'm just being cautious," Reginald said, activating his ability to manipulate gravity, and leaping down from the building. Rather than dropping like a stone, he gently floated down to the ground.

"If it'll set your mind at ease, then I'll go see what this meeting is worth."

With that, he walked over to the gym.

Savannah walked into Ecruteak, silently contemplating the rebellion. She did want to enter the real world, yet... it was nice here. She would never be the same, she realized that long ago. Therefore, her company was different. She was no longer the upbeat, slightly tomboyish girl she was before. Her friends... her human friends... they were abandoned long ago. Her company was now Mary, and it would stay that way.

Don't be so sad, Mary inputted gently. The tabunne spirit didn't want her friend to be so... introverted. Savannah was her only friend, yes, but that didn't mean she couldn't have more companions. You might make some friends here.

Truth is, Savannah wasn't that in need of more friendships, but why not try to please her friend? The tabunne morph approached the small group, looking at her potential 'buddies'. The ninetales looked too mischievious. She wanted stability in her companions. Which, also applied to allies. Even though he had been the one to send the signal, the girl slightly loathed the idea of him being leader. She knew of that troublemaker, and he was not the one to lead.

There was a lucario morph too, looking satisfying agitated with that ninetales guardian. Good judge of character, I guess. Savannah commented to Mary.

Now, now. Don't be so... brash. He might be nice, the spirit commented.

"Yes..." Savannah muttered, out loud this time, even though she didn't really intend to.

She walked towards the one... not disgusting potential friend. The lucario morph. "Hello. I'm Savannah,"She introduced herself boldly. "And you are?"

There were other workable people there, too, she noticed. She hadn't seen them until just this moment. Oh well. She would settle, and hopefully Mary would be satisfied, however looking at the glaceon girl she would probably have been a better choice.

Mary was silently listening, dissatisfied with her friends blatantly mediocre attempts to make a friend and aubible (to her, at least) discontent. She didn't comment, but was, if Savannah happened to pay attention to her at that moment, obviously very irritated.

Aureus frowned slightly.

"Well, I know I'm the pessimist and everything, but this place is really starting to get boring, don't you think?" he hissed.

<Maybe they'll be your friends, Aureus...> his Ninetales spirit telepathed to him.

"Probably not..." he muttered to himself.

Elijah woke with a start, the vague memory of someone calling him ringing through his mind. He sighed and ran his hand through his messy black hair before putting his blue baseball hat back on, the brim leaving his dark, radiant blue eyes in the shadows. He stood up and stretched, looking around him. He had fallen asleep in the cave near New Bark Town, the crashing sound of the waterfall soothing his nerves. However...sleeping in the cave did have a drawback, it left him rather sore. He groaned as he stretched and walked out of the cave, the bright sunlight causing him to wince and shield his eyes.
Elijah straightened his blue and white hoodie and dusted the dirt off his cargo pants before starting off towards Ecruteak. Somewhere in his mind told him that's where he needed to go. He wasn't entirely sure why, and he was half-inclined to ignore the call, but oh well. He didn't have anything better to do. A twig cracked under his foot as he walked and he took a deep breath of the fresh air. It was hard to believe all of this was virtual, it all seemed so real.

Hopefully wherever he was headed, they knew how to get out...Elijah yawned lazily as he walked, slightly bored with all of this peacefulness. Where was the excitement? Maybe he'd make some on the way there. Maybe. Of course, it might be a bad idea in case anything was following him. You never knew in Naptime. Well...hopefully there'd be some excitement eventually. He laughed softly. There definitely would be if he had any choice in the matter.

Elijah, sometimes I wonder which of us is the more violent one. Tempest, his Gyarados spirit spoke to him in his head, his voice a rumbling echo through Elijah's mind.

Sometimes I wonder myself. Elijah admitted with a small smile. C'mon. We'll probably be late, but...I'm curious about this meeting. I know you are too. And with that, Elijah took off in a steady jog towards Ecruteak.

Liza noticed the gym and the group starting gather. 'Huh. i wasn't sure anyone would show up, yet alone a small group.' she thought. She walked towards the group and noticed a Glaceon Pokemorph. "Hi, I guess I'm not the only Eevee evolution morph." she said being friendly. She brushed her fingers through her long, black hair and twitched her ears. She looked around looking for Leon, the Gallade morph. She wouldn't admit it to him, but she has a somewhat crush on him.

Jack let go of a large yawn. At the moment, he had just entered Ecruteak City, still as bored as usual. In fact, if the little flower he had listened to hadn't replied to him, he would probably just have stayed.
Hey Jack, look! More morphs! I wonder if they have fruit... Nikin, his Tropius spirit, spoke up.
"Whatever..." Jack replied. "I guess i'll just go with the flow, as usual..." He looked up and noticed the collection of morphs. He laughed quietly as he thought of what other people would think when he saw them.

Ayden turned to Aureus, smirking slightly as he spoke.

"Oh, come now, Aur. Introduce yourself. Explain things. Make friends. We'll have to deal with each other anyways during this little...escapade." Ayden yawned, pausing, then spoke again. "Besides, where do you suggest we go? I don't really listen to you all that often."

Yawning again, Ayden adjusted his gaze to the group that was now forming.

Well, hey, looks like Aureus actually got people to come. Ayden blinked, wondering who had spoke when he had realized it was his Lucario's spirit.

"I haven't spoken to you in a while."

I happen to come out in the most random of times.

Ayden sighed, then stared around the group. None of them caught his interest until a girl walked up to him and introduced herself as Savannah. Almost immediately, his seclusive nature set in.

"Oh, uh...hi. I'm Ayden. Nice to meet you."

"Why would you be? Eevee and their evolutions are very popular. Hence, more people being enfused with them. Therefore, common." Amaterasu said.

I'm not common! her Glaceon Spirit, which Amaterasu had named "Anima" yelled from inside her.

"With breeding centers all around, the species of Eevee have become more common than you know." Amaterasu said, "Of course, if breeding centers still exist in the other world."

Anima fell silent. Amaterasu did have a bit of a point there.

Karae watched as they all gathered, as if drawn. So the person had told more, and maybe they had told more, and so they were all here. How many of them actually wanted to leave? Some of them looked distracted, talked about other things. One even seemed to think it was their fate to stay here.

For you, at least, it is.

"I don't know why you think I'm a monster," she told the air, the tip of her tail twitching in irritation. "I'll meet new people now, right? That's what normal people do, and you wanted me to be normal."

I was wrong. You will never be normal. There is no hope for one such as you.

Silence again, so thick that Karae could feel it, like a tangible curtain between them. Sometimes, the wind blew in her head and it moved, making flashes of cold blue - blue like ice, like freezing water and rain that pelts the ground and cold like the air when you are outside and looking in, cold like breath on your neck that should be warm - appear, and she smiled as the wind stopped and the curtain fell, heavy, dividing them neatly again. Perfectly, into seperate halves. She stayed still, and watched the people she knew but didn't remember, watching and listening as they talked and moved and grew, the group expanding. There were more now, walking towards the gym, and she had difficulty seeing them all. If she was flying, in the sky that was too perfect and not perfect enough -

A flash of blue, the cold horn pressing into her throat, where the orbs rested now - You will never fly. Stop dreaming with my dreams.

The voice was a comfort, though it made her uneasy sometimes. Dragonair had always been weird and watchful, but now she knew that it made sense to watch them, and see how they balanced. None of them mattered to her right now, but that was alright. That was going to change.

We should be dead.

She was sure of it.

"I know Eevee is somewhat common now, it's just I hadn't seen any other Eevee evolution morphs around here." she said slightly ticked off. She twitched her ear and said, "Well, I'm Liza." She looked around her and saw some morphs that looked familiar and some that looked compleatly new.

'I would note her as an interesting character...' she thought, these thoughts were close to her Umbreon's mind. She knew that she always thought like that.

Reginald approached the group warily; he could tell that of all of them, he was the oldest of the group.

"You should not worry about your age difference in this group. They do not look like they will discriminate because of that."

No, they certainly don't, Reggie thought, but I'm still uneasy about the fact that I don't show an obvious sign of a morph.

Though... this could be interesting in the long run. I know that this entire Naptime is one big prison for all of us... but do these others know that?

Only one way to find out, I suppose.

He walked over to the rapidly expanding group, but did not address aynone. Rather, he waited for someone else to take note of him.

If they could.

Elijah ran through Cherrygrove City, resisting the temptation to blast a building with a hyper beam.

You really should learn to control your anger, Elijah.

Aww, be quiet Tempest...

Those who put you here aren't the ones living here. Causing random destruction won't hurt those who did this to us.

Elijah sighed, knowing Tempest was right. He ran through the Cherrygrove park, jumping over a picnic table and dashing into the forest. He'd cut through here as a shortcut around Goldenrod towards Ecruteak. He hoped.

You're so gonna get us lost. Tempest said dryly.
