Jin, start things out with Faint Attack, unless she protects, then use Light Screen, or if she attacks you and it hits, use Payback. Then, Try a Hypnosis. last, use Calm Mind, unless the Hypnosis missed, then use it again.

Being slower is good sometimes. :3

Ok Ming, lets do this~

From what I can tell, you can trace his Abilty, sweet.

Ok, I want you to first start off with a Will-o-Wisp, then follow up with a Hypnosis of your own. finally, use Dream eater, but if he's not asleep then use sunny day to give fire moves some strengh. If you are asleep however, then use Sleep Talk.

Okay, so actually going by the guide this time.

.: Battle :.

Simply ignoring the warning of oddly-coloured mightyena prowling this enchanted forest, two trainers have chosen a large, circular clearing to battle in. They have had to be flown into the clearing, as the gigantic trees are almost like a wall, intertwining unnaturally to prevent anything from coming in or out—at least, it will hopefully do so, especially the rumoured mightyena pair. It seems that, at least at a glance, the trees are managing it quite well: no pokémon is in sight, and only two trainers and a referee are around.

The sheer size of the clearing could be a problem for the pokémon reaching each other, even though the trainers aren’t starting on opposite ends of the field. At the very least, the small pond between the two might act as a barrier, but again, the trainers have accommodated for this by standing slightly to the side of the pond, so the pond won’t be directly between the pokémon when they are finally sent out. This is the only real potential problem, however, as otherwise the clearing really is clear of anything but a carpet of healthy green grass, not long enough to get in the way of anything.

moon-panther is the first to send out a pokémon, plucking one of four pokéballs off of her belt and tossing it in the middle of the clearing. The pokéball splits open, and light spills out like a liquid. As the light fades, a ralts is revealed, standing on moon-panther’s side of the battlefield. The ralts looks around the clearing, first at her trainer, then at the trees and water, and finally at Full Metal Cookies, who picks one of her own pokéballs from her belt and tosses it on her side of the small pond. Another psychic-type pokémon is revealed; the flat blue hexagon that is a bronzor stares at the ralts impassively, perfectly balanced on one corner of the plate. It blinks when Full Metal Cookies gives it orders, spinning around to look at its new trainer, then twirls again to look at its opponent. moon-panther follows up with her own orders as per usual, and, as the referee scribbles some last few notes on its clipboard, the ralts steps forward. As her natural empathy allows her to copy her opponent’s special ability to resist fire, the sound of a blowing whistle pierces through the battlefield, signalling the start of the battle.

Ming concentrates on the air in front of her, using her mental powers to spark a tiny flame in the air. The flame dances in the air, quickly growing to the approximate shape of a small sphere. With a wave of her hand, Ming sends it flying over the grass toward Jin. That is the intention, anyway, although the fireball is difficult to control and flies in an erratic pattern, causing Ming to have to force it in the right direction again. Though it is quite slow, it eventually makes its way over to Jin, who was too busy making sure he had his orders right to pay much attention. The fireball scorches one of the balls on the side of his body, and even the special alloy melts a bit from the concentrated heat. The heat penetrates more deeply into the metal, and remains quite hot.

Jin has managed to determine what he needs to do now, however, and black tendrils of energy leap from the metal and surround him, cloaking him in darkness. He suddenly vanishes from sight for several moments, and even Ming’s psychic powers can’t determine where he is. Something very hard suddenly hits her from behind, sending her stumbling forward, and the dark shape of a bronzor appears behind her. The black energy burns at her skin painfully, though not as painfully as Jin’s burn—even though his movement didn’t require straining his injured orb, so he could attack as normal, the throbbing pain just won’t stop while Ming’s pain slowly fades after the initial strike.

Now that Jin is so close, he doesn’t have much chance when it comes to avoiding Ming’s next move. She turns, scowling, and tilts her head up to lock Jin in a staring contest. Their proximity makes it easy, as does Jin’s unpreparedness. She sends waves of soothing, hypnotic energy at him, despite preferring to cause him pain instead, and her brain waves interrupt Jin’s. Jin’s eyelids droop shut, and it topples over onto its back, the short fall cushioned by the grass.

With her opponent unable to resist, Ming gets to work on the revenge part of this plan. She concentrates, eyes taking on a pink glow beneath her mushroom cap. She delves into Jin’s dream, which involves something about ancient times, and begins to absorb the dream as best she can. Jin’s natural resistance to opposing mental energies make this more difficult, and she only manages to consume a small part of the dream, but its body’s uncomfortable shifting in the grass, as well as her empathic abilities, let her know that she’s still managing to negatively affect it. It’s not nearly enough for her, but the glow of her eyes fades and she stares down at Jin’s still form.

Great work Mingy! Now let mess with him some more!

I want you to use Imprison to lock his moves, then follow up with a Sunny day. But if he wakes up, then use Hyponsis again to keep him asleep. Now, if you were able to pull off the Sunny Day, I want you to use Fire Punch the on the floating metal gear, but if he's still not asleep, then use Hyponsis again.

grr... Ok Jin, This is a tough spot but we can get out of it! As long as you're asleep, use Sleep Talk, ok? But if you wake up, I want you to use Safeguard, and if you still have an action left after that, Faint Attack.

Ming points a hand in Jin’s general direction, chanting ominously with her eyes closed. She moves her hands in strange patterns, voice rising, and an ancient rune is scrawled on the ground in a pale blue light, underneath and around Jin. Another rune in the air above it mirrors the one on the ground. The rune becomes more and more complex as Ming continues to chant, and with a final shout, several pillars shoot down from the edges of the top rune to give Jin the appearance of being in some sort of cage.

Then the cage of light shrinks and vanishes into Jin’s body, locking away some of the knowledge the two psychics share.

It is now that Ming, opening her eyes, realises that Jin is standing on one point and murmuring something himself; she doesn’t know when he started, but his mutters continue. The ground rumbles, and suddenly a large rock tears through the ground and shoots up into the air, leaving a hole behind. This is followed by another, and another, until there are several rocks hovering ominously in the air. They float over toward Ming, and though she tries to run away from them, they easily catch up to her. The rocks suddenly drop on her, leaving bruises where they hit. She cries out in pain as the rocks bounce off of her and onto the ground. Jin falls on his back once more, returning fully to its sleep.

Several moments after the last rock has fallen, Ming stands up straight from her near-foetal position. She stares straight at the sun, although she closes her eyes before she can be blinded, and points a hand at it. The sun seems to brighten as its light is concentrated on the little clearing, heating the air up considerably. Neither pokémon is bothered by the added heat, but the trainers are another story – they have no intrinsic protection against the sun, and are likely to get sunburns if this continues for too long.

This time, Ming hears the muttering as it begins, and looks at Jin as it stands back up, facing her. Darkness shrouds its body, and she grimaces when it disappears. She knows what’s going to happen, and that she won’t be able to find it, she can’t help but look around nervously. Something smacks her from behind, suddenly, burning into her skin and sending her stumbling forward, nearly tripping over a rock. The silhouette of Jin appears behind her, and the blackness fades to reveal its usual blue body. It then falls onto its back once more, between two of the large rocks. Ming glares at it, raising a hand. If she had any fingers, she’d be making a fist.

Instead, the air around her hand heats up even more than it has with the sun. It heats up so much that her hand appears to burst into flames. This neither hurts her nor spreads beyond her hand, even during the time it takes for her to walk over to Jin. Growling something, she punches its stupid face with her flaming hand, with as much force as possible. This turns out to be not that much, or at least not enough to hurt her back; however the flames, empowered by the sun, do their jobs and lick at Jin’s heat-resistant alloy and heats up a small portion of it.

Jin begins to mutter again, causing Ming to step back nervously. Every time it has done so before, it ended up with her getting hurt; lacking limbs, it wasn’t even weakened by the burn she gave it since it never had to move that part. It, as usual, stands up on one sphere, facing straight at her.

She suddenly starts feeling very cold despite the heat. She can feel its psychic energies taking a hold of her body, but before she can use her own powers to resist, the cold feeling vanishes. She still shivers, feeling as if something is missing but not knowing what.

A howl tears through the silence left after Jin’s muttering. It sounds rather close… too close for comfort, but the trees will likely keep any interruptions out. If not, well, it’s usually the referee’s job to prevent interruption of the battle, but it lacks the pokémon to do so, and the trainers will be left to the whims of whatever pokémon appears.

Ming, Since you can't heal anymore, let's stop him too with Mimic, unless he wakes up, then use Hyponsis. After I want you to use a future sight, so you can attack from a later time. But if he wakes up, use Hyponsis. Finally, use a good old classic Psychic, unless he wakes up, then uses Hyponsis. This is all we can do for now until you can heal once more with the eating of yummy dreams.

Though still somewhat unsettled by the howl, Ming closes her eyes and remembers how Jin performed its last move. She, being a psychic-type herself, uses her understanding of mental energies to break down exactly how it used that move. She memorises it and opens her eyes again, and points at Jin with a hand. Extending her psychic powers, she wraps its body in her mental energy and simply alters its metal-like cells to prevent healing. This will last until it is returned to energy form, she knows, when it will be returned roughly to normal.

Jin, still muttering under its breath, stands back up and faces Ming with closed eyes. Multicoloured, glowing spheres pop into existence around it, dancing beautifully and reflecting off of Jin’s surface. Ming can’t help but watch them, awed by how beautiful they are, and stand stock-still as they form a beam and spin toward her. They then surround her. She giggles, reaching out to touch one. They seem to dance in her vision, making it hard to see anything else… but it doesn’t matter since they’re so pretty to watch, right?

Abruptly, a growl cuts through the battle, and automatically the trainers and Ming look for the source. Between the large branches of a tree, a gold-and-brown mightyena glares at the intruders. Effortlessly, it jumps down into the middle of the clearing, followed by another. They remain where they stand, however, and with a sigh the referee walks toward them to try to convince them to leave.

Meanwhile, Ming is still looking for the source of the growl; the lights seem to have turned everything blurry, the blurs around her all seem the same. She knows, vaguely, that she should be targeting Jin, but with it lying on the grass like that, it’s really difficult to find. She can’t even look for anything sticking up from the grass… she stumbles toward something that looks vaguely like a low shape on the ground, but trips over one of the rocks from Jin’s previous attack.

Jin mutters something again, but this time it’s followed by opening its eyes and blinking sleepily. It then stands back up, looking around. It spots a pair of oddly-coloured mightyena, but then it finds its opponent slowly picking herself up after lying face-down. It blinks again before its shadow rises up to cover it in darkness, and disappears from sight once more. As before, it strikes Ming from behind before reappearing behind her.

They then both hear loud snarls, and one mightyena rushes past the referee and toward the battlers. The other digs incredibly quickly, disappearing into a hole in the ground that wasn’t there before. The mightyena above ground leaps for Jin’s side, tossing it away from Ming and biting and clawing at Jin. Ming blinks, and turns around, having been quite sure that she heard something behind her. Weird, she thinks, before another mightyena hurtles out of the ground and crashes into her. The mightyena lands awkwardly on top of Ming, then scrambles to stand up with a paw on Ming’s head. It growls a warning while Jin’s new opponent does the same, but then they both back off. They stare at each other, nod, and suddenly ran back for the trees and disappear.

Both pokémon are quite winded by the attack, but it managed to temporarily knock Ming’s vision back to normal. At the very least, she can now see Jin almost perfectly. She calls out to Jin to attract its attention, and stares it straight in the eye. She sends out more psychic waves at it, and smirks when its eyes droop shut and it falls face-down onto the grass.

This time its murmurs are muffled by the grass, but it once again stands back up, eyes closed. As it continues to mutter, a strange purplish sphere appears in front of it, created purely from a strange, ethereal energy. The energy seems to struggle to escape from its ball-like shape, though it never manages to disperse entirely. The ball hurtles toward Ming, striking her in the stomach and causing her to double over. Jin then falls back down onto its face, still murmuring something nobody can quite catch.

Ming, still trying to regain her balance, sits down (a bit harder than she intended, jolting herself a bit). She forcibly pulls her mind together, and blocks out the world around her. She meditates, breathing in deeply, and out again. Mentally, she builds up walls against any future attempts at screwing with her mind, and calms herself down. When she opens her eyes, she finds that her vision has cleared, although she still feels quite dizzy when she stands. Jin simply continues to sleep, seemingly doing nothing, but somehow in a more restful state than before; for one thing, it has stopped muttering.

Electricity crackles around Ming’s body, heating the air around her even further. The electricity spreads out in all directions; over the ground, toward the sky, and some of it into the ground. Even if Jin had been awake, there is no escape; the pulses of electricity simply go everywhere. The electricity seems to prompt Jin to mutter some more, and it stands up as before. Ming glares at it, trying not to move too much and trigger a bout of dizziness, but that means she can’t really move.

Jin, though asleep, extends its psychic powers toward Ming’s head, prodding at any weaknesses in her mental defence. Then its mind seeps through the cracks in her mental walls, and wildly attacks everything it can. Ming screams. The pain is excruciating, as if something is tearing at her from the inside out, but it soon fades and Jin retreats back to its own mind. It falls back onto the grass as before.

The attack has left Ming dizzier than before, and she stumbles a bit, but she manages to gather more electricity and send it out everywhere around her, including the electricity that crawls over the grass and into Jin’s body. Jin twitches a bit at the sudden pain, but doesn’t make a sound – until the electricity fades, that is, and he begins to mutter some more. It stands up as usual, drawing energy from all around the arena into its six orbs. Then, glowing, it looses the brilliant, yellowish-green beam of energy at Ming, causing her to stumble – and because of her dizziness, fall on her back. Ming lies there dizzily, trying to regain her bearings; hopefully, she’ll be able to move properly once the time comes for her to do something.

Ming extends her mind and delves into Jin’s to activate its pain receptors, triggering mild pain made weaker by its natural resistances. Its facial expression barely tenses a bit from the attack, much to Ming’s disappointment when she retracts her mind. Even then, however, its facial expression contorts a bit – and then it opens its eyes, though it remains on the ground and relaxes.

Noticing that Jin has awoken, and that her dizziness faded away without her notice, Ming smirks. Glittering spheres of light appear around her, dancing in the air. They gather around her forehead, then fly at Jin in a beautifully swirling beam. Now swirling around Jin, they continue dancing around it, and it can’t help but watch. Even as it stands, it is obviously paying more attention to the lights than Ming. Though it pours energy into making an ethereal ball in front of it, it keeps watching the lights – perhaps it’s just Ming’s imagination, but the ball seems slightly more unstable than usual. Nonetheless, Jin pays attention to Ming for the few moments it takes to aim and shoot the ball, then goes back to watching the lights.

As a result, it doesn’t get to see the ball hit Ming, causing her to stumble back even further, or see her nasty glare when she rubs the slightly-burned patch of skin on her front, or her deep breath that she takes to calm herself down. She sits down, closing her eyes, and retreats to the centre of her mind and blocks everything else out. Even the pain, and her anger. As she meditates, strengthening her mental walls and her ability to wield her mental powers, Jin gathers more ghost energy into a sphere in front of it. As before, it only half-heartedly forms the energy into a sphere and keep the sphere under control, but it gives Ming the moment’s attention it needs to aim and fire.

Just as Ming is ready to return to the world around her, she is brought out forcefully, screaming when the ghostly energy suddenly hits her again. Scowling, Ming stands back up, though it’s slow going this time. Every movement hurts, and she feels a bit sick, too. She might not last much longer, but she decides just to do her best.

Nope, the dig-tunnel didn’t appear this round, just forgot to mention it

2vs2 Single
Style: Set
DQ: Standard week
Damage Cap: 30%
Banned Moves: OHKO's, Direct Healing
Arena: Enchanted Forest

Almost every Faerie Tale has a forest... An enchanted forest. The battle will take place in a clearing, surrounded by huge trees that are impossible to bypass. There's a small pond in the clearing's centre, providing a spot for water-bound Pokemon. The trees seem almost impervious to fire, and will not burn. Every three rounds, a pair of golden mightyena will appear from the trees, attack the battlers with one random attack, and flee.

.: Actions :.

Ming, though doubled over from the pain, focuses. Her eyes glow blue as she takes a peek into the future, though it’s slightly blurry. She tries to memorise the future events, though she is a bit dismayed at what she sees – though she probably should’ve been able to predict it anyway. She finds a moment where Jin will be too occupied to deal with her attack. Smirking, she sends off a concentrated blast of psychic energy she is sure will strike, then her eyes stop glowing. Her mind returns to the present… at which point all memories of the future, except for a vague sense of when the attack will go off, vanishes from her mind.

She is pleasantly surprised to see that Jin isn’t doing anything, except lying flat on its back, seemingly resting. What she doesn’t know is that Jin tried to withdraw to the centre of its mind, but the lights were too distracting and it fell onto its back while trying too hard to ignore them.

The sound of leaves rustling is barely audible, but it marks the entrance of two mightyena – perhaps the same as before, as they too are gold and brown in colour – peeking out from around a huge tree. Further exploration into why the mightyena managed to rustle leaves leads to the conclusion that it must have simply been a breeze coinciding with their arrival, or perhaps they had been watching the first time. They murmur quietly to themselves, though, and don’t act yet.

As the mightyena watch, Ming walks forward with flames wrapping around her hand, toward the distracted bronzor. She punches it in the face, singing it somewhat with the flames around her hand. Jin rocks back and forth from the blow, but seems to regain its bearings; Ming hastily shuffles backward, watching translucent purple streams spiral around a growing purple sphere. The ball shoots out as usual, and from this close range sends her stumbling slightly more than usual. With a pained whimper, she falls onto her butt – she’s bruise on her back and burned all over her front, and the poison inside of her is making her feel really sick.

The two mightyena charge forward before the psychics can continue, however, one of them charging at Ming with a snarl and pouncing on her, biting her and scratching and kicking Ming as much as it can. The other stops a good distance from Jin, jaws open, although the ball of yellow-orange light forms in front of its mouth instead of inside. The ball continues to grow until it is roughly the size of a person’s head, but rounder. Then, suddenly, the ball turns into a beam hurtling through the air straight at Jin, striking its back directly and sending it flying through the air from the sheer force of the attack. Jin lands not far from Ming, flat on its face… and like Ming, it remains on the ground.

Unlike Ming, though, the mightyena didn’t manage to pummel it into unconsciousness, although the mightyena used a great deal more energy. Panting, the Jin-attacking mightyena turns away and walks back toward the forest, while its more energetic companion runs after it, shooting a glare back at the battlers. It wants them out of the forest right now – they both do. This is their second warning, and if they do not leave, it will not be the last.

Jin’s condition is not improved by a large ball of light seemingly brighter than the sun that appears out of nowhere, smashing into its back.
