There's no olympics this year, but that shouldn't stop us from trying, right! This match takes place in and around a large swimming pool, olympic-sized (that's 50 meters long, yes?) and 12 feet deep, with a shallow end on both sides that's 3 feet deep. The pool is divided into 6 lanes, separated by those floaty lane divider things. The water is a nice temperature, and doesn't have chlorine (for the Pokemon's safety).

All around the pool is a walkway for landlubbers, which is made of cement and about 3 meters wide, and then there are walls, a very high ceiling (10 meters) and windows. Don't go out of them. Weather effects such as Sunny Day will work, but to less of an effect than normal, and Hail and Rain Dance will have no effect whatsoever.

Teehee, how silly~ This one thinks she can achieve world domination~ Well over our dead bodies, right girls? Let's go show how the real domination dominators... dominate - Aysu and (The somewhat ironically named) Twitch~

Let's start with a good old fashioned gimp n' run - Twitch, head in and fire off a Confuse Ray at Teropea, that lumbering tree-dragon-thing can't do a thing to you, so harass the crap out of her. Fly off after that confusion and get a Double Team up with 4 clones, then fly circles around her like the birds she'll be seeing anyway and plot further demise~ (Nasty Plot)
If she tries to protect, back off and plot, and get that confusion in later. If worse comes to worse and you can't pull it all off, just give her a nasty Air Slash and we'll regroup.

Finally, give that irritating seal a good zap and get him paralysed too. If either protects of course, switch targets and zap the other later.

Union fighters, dispatch!

Teropea, I want you to start off with a Safeguard-- that should protect both of us from whatever nasty status effects they want to throw at us. After that, your target is the Chinchou-- Leech Seed to get some constant recovery going, then Leech Seed the Zubat. If for whatever reason you fail to put up safeguard on the first action, do it on the second or third.

All right, Waita, we don't want that Chinchou doing anything silly like setting up recovery or anything, so let's keep it trying to paralyze us while we're safeguarded-- Encore its Thunder Wave. Then, oh, the Zubat's trying to split into clones, is he? Blow an Icy Wind over in his direction, keeping the radius wide at the expense of power and trying to engulf all of the clones at once. We'll get a little damage on the Chinchou too, not that it's very effective. Then Toxic that Chinchou-- it'll be a thorn in our side unless we take it out.

Round 1

Always glad to reff and more importantly-see freindly faces. Hello girls! It's especially nice to see our lovely Teropea back in action. I hope she's feeling better. Anyway, our terrain is this amazing swimming pool that I will certainly not go in! Water.....O_o o_O *Stands to the side in a full suit to protect from splashes* From Twitch comes first the lovely tree dino that glided onto the cement bowing her head before raising it in a flashy fashion while a small and plump Spheal that plunked right under and submerged wiggling about happy. Dwagie on the other hand quickly followed up with a snap of the wrist sending a static swimmer into the pool that immedietly lit up the bottom and cutely cried out enjoying the temperature whil a jittery or-twitchy bat came on the scene before Teropea as if challenging the great beast. Well-I believe it's time we start! Let's go Round 1!

A random sweep of breeze goes by to show off the tension and then-they start! Right away Dwagie has Twitch swoop over to Teropea to confuse her while Asyu formed a weak jolt of electricity to paralyze. Teropea quickly began casting up a veil to protect her and her teammate but was interrupted when Twitch's attack hit. The confusion was mild but with the electricity nearing she knew well enough to continue before she stumbled back. The veil laminated her and Waita's body avoiding paralysis but Teropea was so big that during her stumble she fell into the water. Luckily she was tall enough to still stand with her wings and chest above the water but now she wondered who was who. Water was in her eyes and she was trying to blink it away. Asyu scowled and pouted shaking her antenna in a tantrum while Waita sprung out of the water repeatedly clapping his fins together before sinking back under the water.

Asyu felt good about Thunderwave for some strange reason even though it hadn't worked. SHe felt a thrill about doing it and giggled before doing it again. The flare came again and shattered but Asyu was so giddy about doing it again that it didn't matter. Twitch muttered under her breath and began flying frantically in circles around Teropea's head. She watched blinking as more showed up in his wake. What could be worse than four more annoying little bats? She grunted without approval of his act and turned her attention towards the yipping Chinchou. She could just barely see the glowing of her antenna to make up for a visible target with the five Twitch's circling her face. Since both Asyu and Spheal were blue and somewhat glowing the confusion could not help her current sight. Instead of attacking she began to buck furiously out of frustration thrusting her head frantically. With Asyu and Twitch occupied with circling and giggling, Waita inhaled a great amount of air swelling up quite a bit and then exhaled an ice cold wind that came in a swift hurtle at both the Zubat and the Chinchou. Teropea winced and staggered back a bit unable to avoid the hit with her target so close and snorted seeing that the clones had dispersed. The pain of the wind made her head throb but her confusion clear. She had been robbed of 20% of her life leaving her in a severe situation. Twitch was screeching wildly and flailed in midair showing sheer frustration.

In pain but still tempted to continue the Thunderwave, she swayed about creating once again, another weak flare that again shattered against Teropea's guarded chest. Twitch did not wait to attack this time. With so many angry and bad thoughts racing through her mind already, Nasty Plot came easily intensifying her Sp. Attack. The nasty smirk on her face made Teropea tilt her head before letting out a cry of her own and thrusting her wings about again. A seed jetted out from under her wing entangled and stabbed for his life. Waita's lower lip stuck out as the aggression made him nervous. There was no time to waste though so he upchucked a mound of toxic ooze that just barely missed. Asyu glared at him for almost hitting her and looked at the ooze that stretched over a part of the shallow end thinning but very slowly. Both Asyu and Twitch winced from the life stolen from the vines but looked at their opponents eager to turn the tides.

(Mm, I don't mean to nitpick, but Zubat is actually faster than Tropius (55 Base Speed versus 51 considering you're judging this way, any way) which should mean she could jump Teropea's Safeguard with the Confuse Ray (Go go luckhax), also, Twitch is a "She" ^^; Not particularly important that last part I suppose but you never know what a caffeinated Zubat might do when you mix up their pronouns. And thanks again for reffing~ ^w^ )

Regretfully, the union miscalculated in its application of the Icy Wind technique and struck its own member. Be assured that it won't happen again. (actually, um, not to nitpick, but the pokedex I'm using says it only targets the enemy team ._. but perhaps Teropea got caught in the crossfire or something)

Teropea, begin damaging that Chinchou; it might potentially become a future nuisance if it is allowed to remain. Giga Drain, then Fly up to avoid Waita's Surf, then Fly at the Zubat.

Waita, I want you to try a Blizzard; be very careful to not hit Teropea with it. In fact, if you could focus it more on the Zubat than the Chinchou, that would be best. Then, use Surf, taking special care to call up the water from the poisoned end of the pool and hit both your foes (but don't hit yourself in the process). If the Zubat flies or protects, Toxic the Chinchou. Toxic again if it missed or you didn't do it; otherwise, Ice Beam the Zubat.

Okay gals, that was unfortunate, so let's have a more aggressive motion at em. Twitch, open with an Air Slash at Teropea. We want to unroot those nasty seeds and it looks like to do so she needs to go down, stick close so Waita has a hard time hitting only you. After that give a loop around and give him the same treatment with another Air Slash at him this time. Finally we'll finish up going for a disable of that overgrown banana tree. Hypnosis her as she swoops in on you, the Safeguard should be gone by then.

Aysu, let's get Teropea feeling the pain. Fire off an Ice Beam in her direction, be careful of Twitch. And for gods sake snap out of that encore, he was just playing flattery. Considering otherwise, though, let's use that surf time to set up our Aqua Ring. Ride the waves naturally and careful of that poison blob, the disgusting seal. It's barely a threat otherwise. Lastly, let's get charged up~

Round 2

The first round was large and in charge! Beating on each other fiercely and yet Waita is so new. Good luck flubby. Well there seems to be poison still lingering and our battlers are taking into mind how touse their terrain and advantages now. It is Twitch's turn to kick things off and Teropea sees to have gotten the chills from Waita's previous move. Well let's not stall any longer. School starts tomorrow T_T ANyway, begin round 2!

With quick demands Teropea bobbed her head and stretched her wings. Small orbs sprung out in flashes and dove into Asyu. As they returned in a beautiful stream-Twitch darted forward andflapped his wings in a reckless but forceul manner creating visible lashes of air that travelled over to the Tropius. Teropea winced and roared in pain before the health came backto her. Asyu scowled but felt a great pleasure in using Thunder Wave again. Tapping her antennae together she casted another wave of thunder that came in a slow manner towards Teropea. Teropea shook herself mockingly for she knew she was safe. Twitch turned and screeched as the Thunderwave neaarly hit him. Waita was wowwed by this all nearly forgetting to strike but did so hastily. At his mouth a a small blue glow that broke into a rush of cool breeze and snowflakes. Teropea snorted seeing Twitch stay by her and shivered as it only grazed her neck in an uncomfortable way. Twitch on the other hand felt the impact hardest and froze over like a popsicle landing on the side stiffly. Asyu winced and cried out to Twitch who was now immobile and growled angrily.

With Twitch now unable to move Teropea's target was unable to be missed. She dove down swiftly and landed with a shuddering thud ontop. If he were able to still make facial expressions he'd have been wide eyed in horror. This Slam did however thin the layer of ice over him. Waita popped his head out of the water and grinned seeing what awesome work was done. With a curving of the lips a weaker wave of ice came and caked on another layer onto the Zubat. Meanwhile Asyu was entertaining herself with another Thunderwave. Teropea and Waita laughed to themselves splashing about in the water while the vines latched to them stole life making them yelp and squirm.

Asyu was wriggling and highly annoyed. She was being ignored and for that she felt her Thunderwave was yesterdays news. Finding it was time to zazz it up for spotlight to return to her rather than her popsicle friend there she tapped her antennae together till sparks began to form a large aura of electricity showing off her awesomely enhancing power. Teropea grunted uncomfortably at what she was seeing and let her wings fold lightly enough for her glide down. Twitch couldn't move but knew what was coming as soon as a great thud was heard over him. The ice shattered almost completely leaving a thin layer still over Twitch's body. Teropea trumpeted excitedly now out of the water. Waita quickly acted and aimed a beam of ice onto him caking another layer ontop. Unintentionally though he added more ice onto the frozen bat. No luck for bats.

Ahem.... anyway.... bugger all, this is my luck... ((But KQ, I don't think subsequent Ice attacks are meant to increase freeze time, besides maybe rolling another freeze roll.. Freeze is already a broken stat condition and theoretically it can instantly be endgame in a singles match.. And I doubt it changes in doubles. Also, Charge increases Special Defence by a stage as well..))

Right.. Aysu we need a distraction don't we. I think being outright fried counts. Launch a Thunder at that Seal, we need to go all out, aim carefully. And don't let the little bugger protect it either, if he tries it strike banana-neck instead. Then we're going to have a go with their own medicine. Grab some of that poison and surf it over them, especially the bloody seal. Finally, Flash them.. no not like THAT. Blind them nonetheless. Don't worry about Twitch, she's blind as a bat.. har harrr.

Twitch.... Please thaw, that's a start. If you can move then put that damned tree-thing to sleep with Hypnosis, and start wailing on the seal with Air Slash. Let's down 'im quick, he's annoying me.

Waita, I want you to hop on Teropea's back and Protect against that charged Thunder. Then, Swagger at the Chinchou. Then hop off and blast the Zubat with some serious Ice Beam.

Round 3

Previously in Involuntary Twitch vs. L'il Dwagie, we watched as the Twitch team took to action stealing the lead in a very harsh but tactical manner. Having only faced a drop in energy the two are riding strong in health. Waita may be a first timer but he sure as hell is whooping some bat! Teropea is keeping her Leech Seeding routine on the ball and our bat and chou are struggling through status conditions. Asyu is poisoned and Twitch is nearly a popsicle. We can only wait for th reff to determine how this next round will progres....*cricket-cricket*.....Oh-um right! So witout my stalling, let's take to round three!

Waita waded in the water and gasped seeing the Chinchou bringig the atenae together. As the electricity was being conjured the Spheal understood its speed and swam in a circle before a transparent green dome grew over him. Asyu was prepared for this and spun about facing Teropea. Teropea grunted and stomped a powerful foot as the strek of electricity dropped frm above like a lazer. To Asyu's dissappointment the damn Tropius had created a dome as well. The electric shattered into sparks on contact before the dome of both faded. Twitch lie there beginning to feel the sensation in his wings return. Then, Waita sunk under before shooting up and out of the water landing professionally onto Teropea's back. His wet and slippery body mae her laugh nervously afraid of dropping him.

Frustration was growin and patience thinning. Asyu needed to get a hit in and this duo was proving a difficult one to take down. There was only one way to do this with her partner currently immobile. Lowering herself into the water, the Chinchou inhaled and concentrated really hard before the waves behind her grew in size. Brushing its summoner to the side it moved closer and closer to the platform on which the Tropius and Spheal stood. Tropius looked furious and began beating her wings rapidly. He speed was nomatch for te Chinchou's and her wave so avoiding some damage would be the best right? Almost clear of the wave, Teropea braced herself for the worst and coughed spitting up water and a purple muk that was dripping down the side of her face. Oh no! She was hit with the poisoned water! Shrieking and flailing in midair the Spheal could hardly hold on. Finding this his only opportunity to get the Swagger going he began to blurt out foul nonsense. Calling her weak and mocking her with daring questions like, "Was that it?!" The Chinchou bubbled the water in humiliation before breaking into a rage that eventually put her in a daze. Her eyes crossed and she leaned back in the water dizzily. Meanwhile, Twitch finally flapped his wings and screeched angrily up at those who left him a victim to the unbearable cold.

Too absorbed by the lovely colors that clouded her vision, she did nothing but strike herself in an attempt to catch one. Twitch shook his head and redirected his attention back to his opponents. It was time to take out that Spheal! BEating his wing frantically, eventually a sharp gust sliced through te air like a blade. Teropea, in her agony, continued to flail and left Waita open to the slash. The impact was strong enough to make the tubby one slide right off. Spiraling own towards the Zubat he opened his mouth releasing a cool streak of blue onto him. Consumed by the familiar chill his wings froze for a second from the shock before he was crushed by Teropea's dropped weight from above smashing him into the ground. Proudl taking health back she sighed and looked over t Wait who was sitting by the water.

Waita, start with an Ice Beam at the Zubat. If she protects or dodges, Swagger at the Chinchou again to confuse it further. Keep this up each action, but if the Chinchou is already severely confused or also dodges your attack, Stockpile instead.

Uguuuuu... I forgot how much that freeze hurt me.

Okay, we need to go all out here. Twitch, start up with a Hypnosis, we still haven't gotten one off. Aim at Teropea until it hits, we can't have Aysu taking those hits.
Next, we need to try to take that blasted seal out of commission too, considering sleep clause let's hit him with a Confuse Ray, and pray for the best.
Finally, if you have a turn left, Air Slash that tree dragon right in the face.

Aysu, we're going for broke. Ice Beam the ever-loving crapples out of Teropea. Let's see how SHE likes the cold. Simplistic.. but hopefully, effective. These odds could be evened if she goes out of commission.

There's no olympics this year, but that shouldn't stop us from trying, right! This match takes place in and around a large swimming pool, olympic-sized (that's 50 meters long, yes?) and 12 feet deep, with a shallow end on both sides that's 3 feet deep. The pool is divided into 6 lanes, separated by those floaty lane divider things. The water is a nice temperature, and doesn't have chlorine (for the Pokemon's safety).

All around the pool is a walkway for landlubbers, which is made of cement and about 3 meters wide, and then there are walls, a very high ceiling (10 meters) and windows. Don't go out of them. Weather effects such as Sunny Day will work, but to less of an effect than normal, and Hail and Rain Dance will have no effect whatsoever.

After a sizeable wait, Involuntary Twitch and L'il Dwagie's third referee arrives on the scene, slightly concerned that this battle could very well be cursed or something. Shrugging off his suspicions, he gets the fourth round off to a long-overdue start, slightly nervous about handling his first-ever double battle.

After a somewhat long, complex string of commands, the round's hostilities begin. First to move is Aysu the Chinchou, who touches her tentacles together and begins to charge an orb of pale blue energy between them. Teropea frowns, and peers down into the pool, squinting to see right to the bottom and find out what's going on. However at that moment Aysu flicks her tentacles toward the surface, letting off a burst of freezing cold energy that blasts through the water and hits Tropius square in the face. The plant-dinosaur thing recoils with a grunt of pain as the bitter cold stings her face, and shakes her head to get rid of the thin covering of frost left by the energy blast. When she looks back up she sees Twitch flapping in her face, her eyes glowing red and trying to lock onto the Tropius'; Teropea instantly yelps and recoils from the bat, averting her gaze. Twitch gives a defeated sigh and flits back across the pool, eyes no longer glowing. As she retreats a number of tiny green spheres of life energy ooze from her body and float into Teropea. Teropea stomps back to where she stood before, her wing's edge glowing with a bright green energy, and dives under the surface towards Aysu. The Chinchou lets out a squeak, muffled by the water, and attempts to flee, but gets hit by the sharp edge of Teropea's wing, leaving a long gash across her back as the Tropius resurfaces and shakes the water off her head. Watching all this from another part of the pool, Waita feels left out and rolls forward, charging a blue sphere like Aysu's in his mouth. He lets out a similar shaft of blue energy, albeit a brighter, stronger one, which shoots out of the surface and strikes the inattentive Twitch directly in the back. The Zubat shrieks and plops down onto one of the shards of ice that the beam formed as it broke the surface, groaning.

Angered at the wound on her back, now stinging in the water, Aysu touches her tentacles together once more, charging another ice cold beam. Pointing it at Teropea, she fires it off again, striking Teropea in the side. The Tropius cries out as the force of the blast almost knocks her over, and she shrieks as she finds a shard of ice now concealing her wing where the beam hit. Flapping it frantically, she manages to break the ice free, letting it sink into the water. Again, Twitch decides to try to force Teropea to observe the importance of the doctrine of naptime, flapping up with her eyes aglow. Teropea flinches again and tries to look away, but this time her eyes catch the tempting, alluring luminescence of Twitch's, and she stares back, blinking more and more rapidly as the Zubat employs psychic suggestion convincing her she's very, very tired... Teropea tries to resist- this is a battle, she has important stuff to do, there's no time for sleep- she looks away, and sees the pool now full of custard, with dolphins in clown wigs jumping up out of it. Oh, dammit. Twitch turns away with a snicker as Teropea's head slams to the side of the pool and she begins to snore thunderously. Nighty night!, she mutters deviously. Still furious at being ignored, Waita charges another Ice Beam, the fourth this round. Firing the ice-cold beam, he strikes Twitch again, who lets out a terrible shriek as the freezing beam wracks her entire body with pain, before the shriek cuts out, giving way to a long whimper of exhaustion. She flutters haphazardly around the arena, swooping and darting every which way, desperately trying to remain airborne. Alas, her efforts are for naught; with a sigh her wings stop flapping and she begins to dive head first toward the drink, barely conscious. L'il Dwagie lets out a fretful gasp and quickly plucks out Twitch's Pokéball, recalling the unconscious bat just before she hits the surface. The seeds on her hide drop harmlessly off into the water to die of overwatering, unnoticed and unloved.

Only the two water-dwellers remain in action, now, with Twitch out of the battle and Teropea snoozing on the poolside. Aysu, quite bored of all these Ice Beams, charges up another ball of ice energy, shooting it towards the Tropius' chest. The beam cuts through the water, freezing it in places and floating chunks of ice towards the surface. The icy beam blasts into Teropea's chest and the sleeping Tropius grunts in her sleep, but remains entirely comatose. Now quite indignant at being so firmly disregarded, Waita rolls across the bed of the pool right over to Aysu where he prods her crossly with a fin. Aysu turns to him with a look of surprise, and he begins to taunt her- hey, I just took down your little bat-friend, you strange tentacled blob-freak. Good luck winning this when Teropea wakes up. I mean really, what's with those tentacles? You look bizarre. Aysu growls furiously. How DARE he! Say what you want about Twitch, but NOBODY, but NOBODY mocks the tentacles. Suddenly her poisoning flares up, and the sickening pain infuriates her further. Growling in fury, she resolves to utterly destroy this stupid ball-seal.

Terrain Notes
There are now several large chunks of ice floating on the surface of the pool. There is poison in the deep end behind Aysu that is gradually weakening; by Round 7 it will be gone. Until then it will deal 4% damage in round 5 and 2% in round 6.

Final Notes
- Hypnosis missed on the first action.
- Teropea was unable to attack on the second and third actions due to sleep.
- I rolled an 11 for freezing with Aysu's second Ice Beam, which was just too high to freeze Teropea.

- let me know if I made any mistakes, this is my first double-battle reffing and I find KQ's reffing style a tad hard to read, so maybe I missed stuff.

Okay Aysu.. sod the complicated commands.. go for broke. Discharge everything you've got. See if you can use the water to use your Volt Absorb too if you can't channel some of that electricity into health.. cause we need it. Hopefully that stupid tree dragon will die in her sleep. And that Seal is set to be fried, he can't do crapples to your typing Aysu, it's all you!
