Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

I've never played a Final Fantasy game

I've never played a Final Fantasy game, but as popular as the franchise is, I think I might like to try playing one to see if I like it. Which game should I play? I think I'd rather play a classic like FFVII than a newer title, just because I like "classic" games that are extremely well-known. Maybe I'd even like a classic classic game like FFIV or FFVI.

For those of you who have played Final Fantasy games (which seems like a lot of people here): Which game is the best? Which game is the most well-known? Which game is your personal favorite? Also, what is the best way to play the games? Most of them are available on PSN, and also FFVII and FFVIII are available on Steam.

I'd say FFVI and FFVII are the best known. I personally really love FFVI, but the only legal way to play it without buying a SNES or GBA cart I know of is on Wii Virtual Console, which is going away soon so.

I'm in the same boat. I intend on getting Final Fantasy VII since it's on Steam now.

I've also never seen The Lion King

IV is the only one I've played myself, but I've heard that it's generally considered to be quite good, and I at least enjoyed it. (played the DS remake.)

Bravely Default may also be a good idea, as it's basically a final fantasy game with a completely different battle system. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I've heard some say that it's a better final fantasy game than the last few official iterations of final fantasy.

actually it's not! While the online multiplayer services are going down, the Wii Shop (and DSi shop) will still stay up for a while longer. It's just the online multiplayer servers for Wii and DS that are going down.
