Pokemon Special: Orre Chapter [The Disappearance of the Dexholders]

Pokemon Special: Orre Chapter [The Disappearance of the Dexholders] is set in the Pokemon Special manga universe (a.k.a. Pokemon Adventures) and follows the mysteries and adventures found in the region of Orre.

Professor Oak starts to worry when the Pokedex Holders suddenly stopped contacting him. He recontacted each one by one, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald and found that none of them responded. He uses his Pokedex signal's to find the other Pokedexes, but noted that the signals were extremely faint and coming from a different region. He searches with the networking help of Bill until eventually coming to the region of Orre. However, by the time he gets there, the signals have ceased completely, except for one.

The signal of Red's, now Yellow's Pokedex signal is coming from a place called "Outskirt Stand". Oak rushes there armed with his Fearow, Doduo, Pidgeot, Kangaskhan, Stanler, and Ledyba. Bursting into the door of the sleepy saloon inside of an abandoned locomotive, he finds an injured Chuchu with popped balloons tied to it and a Pokedex clutched in its paw. Oak checks the Pokedex and find that its signal has been shorted but the rest of it works fine. He picks Chuchu up, and the bartender noticing him says "We found it like that, we don't want any trouble." Oak was about to respond but the television suddenly got everyone's attention.

"It's time for the news. According to authorities, there is a criminal syndicate that is seeking world domination. It is thought to be linked to the rash of reports from various regions about vicious Pokemon. We hope to bring you additional info on this story as we learn more."

Oak shook his head and turned towards the general assembly of the room with a shout, holding up Chuchu. "If anyone here knows or wants to know who did this to this poor Pokemon, or are the ones responsible, come up here!"

-----Battle System-----
When being challenged, you select a Pokemon to send out. Then, you pick one of the moves you choose for it, then I reply and calculate what happens, and then you pick another move, and we take turns until one team is completely defeated. You don't have to crunch any of these numbers, I do, but if you are curious how things are being calculated, here is whats going on.

Here is an example battle:

Eloi: The shady trainer sends out his Charizard. (HP: 78/78 PP:
Exampleton: Laura sends out her Umbreon she had used against the other trainer earlier(HP: 75/95). Umbreon uses Faint Attack (PP: 10/20 -> 9/10).
Eloi: Charizard has a speed of 100 while Umbreon has a speed of 65, as calculated by their base stats. Thus Charizard attacks first. Charizard uses Fire Blast. This move has an accuracy of 85. This means I must role above a 2 on my ten-sided dice. I rolled a 5 (1d10=5), thus I hit. It has a 30% of giving you burn, thus I have to roll above a 7. I rolled a 2 (1d10=2
) thus you don't get burned. It has 120 power and Charizard has 109 special attack. We delete the last digit, which gives us 12 power + 10 attack, subtracted by Umbreon's Special Defense (130 -> 13) which reduces it to 9 damage. (HP: 75 -> 85)
Faint Attack has no accuracy check, has a power of 60 and Umbreon has 65 attack. Deleting the last digit this is 6 power + 6 attack, which is 12 subtracted by Charizard's Defense (78 -> 7), thus dealing 5 damage to Charizard (HP: 78 -> 73).
Exampleton: Umbreon uses X.

And so on.

Basically, everyone's stats are their base stats, Physical damage checks are Attack (deleting last digit) + Base Damage (deleting last digit) - Defense (deleting last digit)= damage, Special damage checks are Sp. Attack (deleting last digit) + Base Damage (deleting last digit) - Defense (deleting last digit= damage.

Accuracy formula(on a 1d10):

100+: Always hits.
90-99: Roll above a 1.
80-89: Roll above a 2.
70-79: Roll above a 3.
60-69: Roll above a 4.
50-59: Roll above a 5.
40-49: Roll above a 6.
30-39: Roll above a 7.
20-29: Roll above a 8.
10-19/OHKO: Roll above a 9.
0-9: Always misses.

Gaining Points in Stats

In order to raise stats, battling certain Pokemon raises certain stats. (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_by_effort_value_yield) Certain base stat(s) goes up by a number from 1-3 every time a Pokemon defeats another. If more than one Pokemon is used, the Points are divided between them (Like, a Bulbasaur gives out 1 point in Sp. Attack. If three Pokemon are used to defeat the Bulbasaur, each Pokemon gets .33 more points in Sp. Attack). You can gain an infinite amount of points in each stat, unlike EVs.

Buying Things

Moves= Base damage (and if there is no base damage, accuracy) + 00. Fire Blast for example, with 120 base damage, would cost 12,000 PokeCoupons. You have to buy all moves outside of the ones that your Pokemon starts with.

Pokemon=Total of base stats multiplied by 12 (common), 120 (uncommon), 1200 (rare), 12000 (only one, probably not buyable). There is no importing fee for Pokemon found in at least four regions, +12 importing fee for Pokemon found in at least three regions, +120 importing fee for Pokemon found in at least two regions, +1200 for Pokemon found in only one region, +12000 for one region only AND in a different nation (Isshu). Pidgey with 251 total of base stats and being common, and is found in Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh which a +12 importing fee, so that would be 3024 PokeCoupons. Wobbuffet with 405 total of base stats and being Uncommon, and found in four regions, and thus would be 48,600 PokeCoupons. Arceus with 720 total of base stats and being a legendary Pokemon, as well being only found in Sinnoh, would be 8,641,200 PokeCoupons.

You gain money by defeating trainers, which is calculated by taking their Pokemon's base stats and then multiply each Pokemon by the Smogon tiers (Not Fully Evolved and Borderline is classified case by case), x6 for Never Used, x12 for Under Used, x120 for Over Used, x1200 for Uber. (Three Magikarp and a Gyarados would net you 200x3x6=3600 + 540x1x120=64,800 = 68,400, which could net you 22 Pidgeys, or 5 moves with a base of 120).

~Good luck!
