• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

My forum (which has a rather random name I must admit) is a general chat forum covering various topics including gaming, sports and websites. It even has a section where you can create your own RPG.
At the present moment in time (less than a day after the site's launch) I am the only member, and I would appreciate it if you would join. There may be rewards for loyalty (such as promotion) if you stay for a long time and invite friends to the forum.
My website is aiming to be child-friendly, so if you want to post porn this is not the place to go. I would appreciate anyy feedback, you will notice I have a specific section for this on the forum (the 'Suggestion Box'.)
My site was created using the free forum creation site www.forummotion.com and I would highly recommend using this service. Everything on my forum is absolutely free, so please join my forum and I will be very grateful.

okay a lot of it looks okay (other than you need a better skin than that). i recommend that you put the newbie lounge near the top in the important category, people might be more apt to join.

another thing is... what makes your forum different from any other casual/multi-subject forums? it looks like another one that's going to die in a month or two. make something unique on it, to draw members. i could find a million other forums that look just like yours.

Eeh, that background image took forever to load. I'd either do away with it or find one with a smaller file size. You may also want to change that "BF Vista Style Beta" thing at the top to a banner with your forum's name on it or something.

I'd also move the "Newbie Lounge" closer to the top.

You have a lot of forums for a site that's just starting out. It ends up making the place look really empty, because not many people are going to have that much to post in the beginning. I don't think you really need five different forums for advertising sites - I'd combine "Advertise your website" and "Website Help/Suggestions", and just have one forum that covers "interesting websites", YouTube videos and social networking sites. I'd also just have one video game forum until you start to get more activity.

Unfortunately, what Dewgong says is very true - you're going to have to find something to draw people if you want this forum to live. :\
