Underoath came to town for the first time

and i went and saw them along with some local bands and this band called The Word Alive.

five hours of moshing and headbanging and the chance to see one of the coolest bands play live.

though my favorite part was probably when Spencer of Underoath came out and said

'i don't know if all of you know this about us, but we live for Jesus Christ. here's the thing, though. we're not here to push our beliefs on you. don't look up to us, and don't treat us like we've got it all figured out. what we want you to do is find something that makes you happy and something you believe in. i don't care what it is. just find it. well, we've got one last song ... '

i don't think i clapped harder that night. my ears are still ringing and i slept like shit, but it was so worth it.
