(You spelled Pyrite wrong, by the way.)
I'll send out Chaos, the Grovyle that isn't holding anything.

Start with Rock Tomb. Then use Toxic, and finish with Agility.

Rock Tomb~Toxic~Agility
I made it easy for you.

Alright, let's see what we can do here Halan~

I want you to use Quick Attack, combined with a Blaze Kick, followed by a Ice Punch while you are close range. If you aren't in close range to Chaos, I want you to use Aura Sphere. If you have no way to attack him at all, I want you to use Mind reader to make sure your next attack hits perfectly.

And so, our battle today begins on an island in the sky, the island of the Sun Keep! Our arena appears to be a small clearing, with the sun shining down brightly on the.. rather empty field. Where are the Trainers and referee?

With a blam and pop of air being displaced, the referee falls out of the sky a few feet above the battlefield. Seems that she'll have to work on that. The Trainers appear nearby, not too far away. It seems everyone is in attendance, and the battle can begin with no further hesitation!

Moony is the first to send out, choosing to lead with a male Riolu named Halan. Halan takes a look around the arena and grins slightly, wooping at the height he'll be battling at today. Lord Shyguy pauses for a moment, before throwing his own Pokeball into the ring. The red light dances around almost angrily for a moment, before forming into a male Grovyle, named Chaos. Waving to the Trainers with her flags, the referee listens to their commands and nods, and the Pokemon are off!

Or just Halan, at least. The Riolu barks sharply and dashes forwards with unusual speed, suddenly twisting and kicking Chaos in the chest with a strong footpaw that halfway becomes enveloped in fire. Chaos, caught off guard by the attack and fire, yelps as he is thrown backwards a few feet by the force of the blow. Halan laughs and leaps backwards, grinning at his confused opponent. What happened? He winces as he gets to his feet, and notices Halan's blow has struck a pressure point. Ouch.

Chaos growls, rubbing the sore spot where Halan kicked him and stretching his arms out. That was unfair, he was so faster than the little Riolu.. He'd show him. Hmph. The Grovyle claps twice to get Halan's attention, and stomps on the ground suddenly. All humans and Pokemon on the island let out a little yell of surprise as the ground begins to shake, and rocks rise out of the ground to entomb Halan. The Riolu's cries are suddenly cut off he struggles to free himself from the rocks, slightly annoyed. Chaos chuckles as he watches Halan try to free himself, might as well consider that payback.

Taking his chance, Chaos concentrates on the toxins he knows are deep inside him somewhere, and winces as a bitter taste rises up in his mouth. Turning towards Halan's head and paws sticking out of the pile up of rocks, Chaos spits the odd mess of toxins he had been gathering in his mouth and laughs as it spatters all over Halan's head. The Riolu wails as the toxins sink into his fur, and he wipes as much of the nasty stuff off as he can with his freed paw. That was just nasty, he growls, and frees a footpaw. It was all he needed to finally pull himself out of the pile of rocks, and the once again ready Halan stands with a grin.

Hesitating for a moment, Halan takes another few seconds to pull some of the energy deep inside him out, and focus it around his fist. He calls up the memory of a cold day, and small shards of ice begin to form around his paw, along with a pale blue and white aura.. Charging forwards with a cry, Halan slams his fist into Chaos' chest, pretty close to where he had hit earlier. The Grovyle coughs as the air is knocked out of him, and falls onto his back. Halan laughs and barks something, skipping backwards, away from the pretty angry Grovyle. The referee waves a hand and some health is returned to Chaos, who blinks in surprise as the referee says something about the damage cap. Eh, whatever.

The aforementioned Grovyle hisses and gets to his clawed feet, slashing at the ground. Stupid pup.. screeching a battle cry, Chaos takes a few steps forwards and slashes the air, remembering his commands. But he wanted to attack the Riolu.. With a sigh, Chaos runs forwards and passes Halan, leaping off the pile of rocks and somersaulting through the air in a manic dance. Halan watches in amusement as Chaos speeds around the ring, passing him a few times but not attacking. Well, that was fine with him, anyways.. Halan smirks as Chaos comes to a stop in his original place, and smirks back at him. Bring it, his look says, and Chaos lets out a sharp laugh as Halan cringes, the poison inside him already starting to do its work.

Damage cap.

Edit: 28% damage for a combined quick attack and blaze kick? Even with a critical hit, that's rather... high. A crit would only add 7% damage to the final total.

Well, Blaze Kick has an 85 base damage, and I added 20 more for Quick Attack, then rolled a crit hit and added the 7%.

But yeah, the damage cap, so I fixed that.

Right, so it's a base power 105 attack non-STAB super-effective + 7%, which gives me 22% damage.

Ohwhaaaat.

Well, Ice Punch would be 9%, since it's 75 base, not STAB, but super effective, so it doesn't really make much of a difference..?

Yes, with the ice punch it does still hit the damage cap. Just surprised that you got that number.

moon-panther can post, there's nothing wrong with the numbers as they stand at the moment.

Woo~ This is a very good start. Hoe about we start with the same opener again~

I want you to repeat the last set of battle attacks, with a bit of variation. I want you to use Quick attack and combo it with a Poison Jab. Pray for the stat, then after, while you are still close, sweep with a blaze kick to light a fire under the grass type's feet.

If the enemy uses protect or detect in the first action, switch the Poison Jab with a Feint. If they use Protect in the last action, then use Feint again. If you aren't anywhere near Choas, then let loose a volley of Aura Spheres on him.

You can do this babe~

Quick Attack + Poison Jab/Quick Attack + Feint/ Aura Sphere ~ Blaze Kick/Feint/Aura Sphere

Okay, so start with a Dig unless he gets close. If he does, use Quick Attack to get behind him, then use Aerial Ace. Finish with Flash.

Ah. A combo takes up two actions, so if one of your combos were pulled off that would be four actions. You'll have to cut out an attack, or..?

*poke* Hey, Lord Shyguy. This isn't really a DQ warning, but you have to change your commands before I can ref. :/

I'm sorry. It's been fixed. Sorry about the wait; my computer doesn't work right now, so I can't get on a lot.

After a brief misunderstanding, everything is sorted out and the referee waves to the Trainers, giving them the go-ahead. The Trainers command their Pokemon, and without stopping to take a breath, the referee waves her flags and the Pokemon give each other nasty looks, ready to rip each other's throats out!

Chaos hisses. Well, that was great, for the past little while Halan's gotten the best of him, but no longer. Chaos stands a bit straighter and nods to his Trainer, a new light coming into his eyes. As Halan smirks at his opponent, Chaos leaps forwards, running at top speed towards the Riolu. He jumps into the air and a white aura hangs in the air behind him as she comes crashing down on Halan, the added force of his dash giving him speed. Halan is thrown back a good distance, though he jumps back up and glares at his opponent. Wonderful.

Halan takes a moment to think about his commands, before nodding and leaping forwards, running at Chaos with full speed. As he nears, his paw turns a sickly purple colour, and with a little yelp, he crashes into the Grovyle, beating, jabbing and battering him with his purple paw. He jumps back, and wipes the rest of the purple stuff on the ground. Ick. Even though it was his own attack, Halan did not like touching toxic stuff. He turns to Chaos, as if daring him to do something about it.

Chaos jumps forwards again, into the air this time. Halan looks up at the airborne Grovyle for a moment, yelping as the sun above him suddenly flashes, causing spots of light to appear in his vision. He feels the ground vibrate as Chaos lands and scuttles back, but what can he do about it? Rubbing his eyes, the spots fade slightly, though it's clear his vision will be impaired for a good while, yet.

Looking at Chaos through clouded eyes, Halan runs the short distance towards his opponent and hops and skips, before twisting and planting his foot in the center of Chaos' chest, a red aura forming around his footpaw. Chaos winces as the air is knocked out of him, and he falls flat on his back. Halan cackles and leaps back, laughing at his winded opponent. Chaos rubs the back of his head and winces, standing up again. That was it, he thinks, and growls at Halan. And her was serious this time. That Riolu was going to bleed.

AARGH STUPID BLAZE KICK
Okay, start with Sunny Day unless it uses a super effective attack; then use Protect. If it uses Feint, use Giga Drain. If you weren't able to use Sunny Day earlier, try to use it again. If you did use it last action, use SolarBeam. If it uses Protect or Detect, use Double Team. Finish with a Giga Drain, but if it uses Protect or Detect, use Double Team.

Sunny Day/Protect/Giga Drain~Sunny Day/SolarBeam/Double Team~Giga Drain/Double Team

Alright then. We can work with this one honey~

After the Sunny Day, I want you to Dig under ground and wait a bit. After the Solar beam is fired, burst out of your tunnel and slam him with Poison Jab. That should be good~

On the last action, I want you to avoid that Drain like the plague, just try your best here Halan. If you can actually use a move on the last action, then use Blaze kick when he gets too close to you.

A short break later, the humans on the field have everything sorted out and are back to the battle! All eyes are on the field as the Trainers command their slightly bored Pokemon and the referee waves her flags, eager to continue the battle. Something was going to happen soon, alright! As the Pokemon process their Trainers' orders, they nod to themselves as the referee twirls her flags around again, and fly into battle!

Again, just as the referee records the words, nothing happens. Both Pokemon, a bit surprised after the short wait, stand up and exchange looks for a moment, before something in Chaos' brain clicks and he raises a clawed hand to the sky. At the tip of his claws, from his perspective, the sun appears to start to grow brighter, and with a flash of light, flares up suddenly. Closing his eyes, Chaos lets some energy leak from him into the air, and a spark zaps his arm. With a yelp, Chaos drops the connection from him to the air around himself as the referee glares at him and says something about the banned moves. Did no one read the rules, she angsts, dropping her voice until no one can hear her. Well, whatever.

Halan barks his amusement, laughing at the failed attempt of Chaos. Who was he trying to fool? Did he even listen to his Trainer? Smirking back at his own Trainer, the Riolu drops to all fours and claws furiously at the ground, sending clumps of dirt and dust everywhere. Chaos puts a claw up to guard his face from the dust and debris, and Halan is gone. Confused, Chaos walks over to the hole in the ground and looks down. Halan had dug this in a few seconds?

Turning to his Trainer, Chaos goes into an angry rant. Didn't he see that he couldn't use a weather move? And what? Keep on trying? Chaos hisses and turns back towards the hole in the ground, glaring at it furiously. He knew what he wanted to do, and it was to destroy that Riolu, dammit!

Halan, not too far from the entrance of the hole, snickers and dives back down below Chaos. He'd heard all he wanted to.. and knew that Solarbeam wasn't coming. Heheh. Bunching up the muscles in his legs, Halan digs upwards with one paw and his footpaws while gathering energy in his other paw. A familiar purple aura forms around it, and the Riolu rockets up into Chaos' chest, pounding into him with all his limbs. Chaos huffs as once again, the air is knocked out of him. Really, that's just annoying now, he snaps as Halan bounces away, snickering.

With a hiss, Chaos grabs on to Halan as he tries to escape. Digging his claws into the Riolu, Chaos closes his eyes and draws strength from his squirming opponent. Digging in harder, he reaches out with his mind for the energy escaping into the air and with his mind, draws some of it in towards him. Invisible to the eye, small sparks float towards Chaos and he tosses Halan to the ground as he absorbs the energy. Take that, he hisses, and smirks. It's a minor wound, though it could be the start of his payback. Heheh. As he looks on, Halan bends over and winces at some unknown pain. Served him right.
