It seems like a century before the battle continues, and all humans are back on board. The referee waves her flags right after both Trainers command their Pokemon, and nods. And the battle continues!

Chaos and Halan face off for a moment. This battle.. if Halan plays it right it may be the last round. And it's Chaos' job to prevent that. Before Chaos can bat an eye, Halan turns on his heel and dashes forwards, flying towards Chaos. Zooming head first towards the Grovyle, Halan suddenly snaps around and kicks forwards, his footpaw coated in a red aura. Chaos yelps as his legs are kicked out from under him by a flaming flying kick, and Halan bounds away, chattering.

Chaos stands up with a grumble, brushing the dirt off of his side and back. Why did he keep getting bested by.. this puppy? Taking a few steps back, the Grovyle smirks at Halan, before disappearing. What? Halan squints at the ground, confused. What just happened..? In the tunnel Halan had dug before, Chaos waits and snickers. Thinking over his commands for a moment, he realizes that he can't just wait in the tunnel.. and so, digs upwards. For a moment, Halan feels the ground rumbling and wonders, before Chaos shoots out of the ground beneath his feet, propelling him into the air a good five feet. Halan lands on his side and howls, getting to his feet shakily. Did he just feel a bone break?

Clutching his side with one paw, Halan watches in dismay as Chaos braces himself against his heel and runs forwards at full speed. The Grovyle savours the look of pain on Halan's face for a moment, before twisting around and slamming a silvery tail into his opponent. Halan's cry is cut off as he is knocked to the ground, and he glares up at the retreating Chaos.

Dropping his facade of pain, or ignoring it, Halan dashes towards the Grovyle and gathers icy energy in his paw. In the time it takes to take the few more steps towards Chaos, a pale blue aura has formed around Halan's paw. Crying a kind of battle cry, he twists and slams his paw into Chaos' arm, adding to his already plentiful bruises. This particular blow leaves a faint layer of ice on the Grovyle's arm, and he recoils from his touch.

With a smirk, Halan bounces backwards and waves an arm. Chaos spits on the ground and smirks himself. Halan is bent over in pain as an invisible foot drives into his gut, and his entire body convulses once. Chaos can't help but laugh, a sharp, loud note. Halan looks up and growls, before turning to Moony and waiting for his commands. Chaos follows, looking expectantly at Lord Shyguy. He was ready!

Terrain Notes
-There's a pile of rocks behind Halan. A few steps behind both Halan and Chaos is the entrance to a tunnel that leads to the entrance behind the other Pokemon. A sharp curve in the tunnel leads straight upwards to another hole in front of Halan.

Hmm... this seems to be going better. Start off with an Iron Tail. If he Protects or Detects, use Double Team. Follow up with a Quick Attack and an Aerial Ace. Double Team if he Protects or Detects. If at any time he uses a super-effective move, use Detect.

Alright Halan, it's time to finish this once and for all.

I want you to use quick attack and Aura Sphere together. Get in nice and close and blast him with a strong Aura Sphere buddy.

Then, if he is still standing, use Earthquake to finish the job.

The referee waves her flags and nods to the Trainers. It's Chaos' last round, unless he does something about it.. so this is going to be interesting. Listening to the Trainers command their Pokemon, she waves her flags again. The battle is on again!

Halan springs forwards without a second thought. Digging his footpaws into the ground, he puts on a sudden burst of speed and lifts his paws. As he runs the short distance towards Chaos, a speck of light forms between his paws, growing by the millisecond. By the time Halan's three steps away from Chaos there's a large orb just a bit smaller than his head in between his paws, and Halan releases it. The bright orb flies the foot or so and buries itself in Chaos' chest, a cackling Riolu punching him a moment later.

It's enough. Chaos falls onto his back, completely exhausted, and closes his eyes. At least the burning feeling's starting to stop, he thinks, before fading into unconsciousness. Halan leaps back, narrowing his eyes at the Grovyle. Was this some trick? Or was he actually knocked out? He waits a few more seconds, and whoops. He's won, and runs up to Moony to give her a high-five. Lord Shyguy recalls the unconscious Chaos, and with a slightly fake looking smile, shakes Moony's hand.

The three humans stand there talking for a few minutes, about how successful those Quick Attack combos were, and how pissed off Chaos looked for the entire battle. They're all taken by surprise as the sun flares up suddenly, and a fiery thing comes out of the sun, roaring and burning with fire. The referee yells something incomprehensible, and grabs the two Trainers. There's a faint bang and pop as all three disappear, and fireballs start to rain from above. They couldn't have escaped faster.

So. Moony gets $8 for winning, and Lord Shyguy gets $3 for a good try. I get $5 for reffing that I'll forget to claim, again. Halan gets 2 exp or 1 KO towards evolution, and Chaos gets 1 exp. Good game, you two~ and if Chaos had been alive an action longer, he'd have gotten squished with fire from above
