Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Here I go again!

Spr_4h_158.png

[Kenny]Totodile(M)
Ability: Torrent
Signature Attribute: Berserker

Kenny, like any Totodile, has a wierd habit of biting, slashing, punching or doing any other damage to whatever he spots. When he was young, his family taught him their ways of combat. After training for several weeks, he managed to let out his fury almost freely, going berserk and smashing whatever stood in his way.

In other words: once Kenny reaches a certain point of damage, he goes berserk, not thinking but instead attacking like mad. When in this status, Kenny is almost totally unaffected by attacks based on feelings, thought, or things that include being able to think.

Effects:
Once Kenny falls below 33% Health, he starts becoming much more agressive than he is normally. All of his attacks deal 3% more damage, but cost 3% more energy. If Kenny tries to chill when going berserk, he has to cool down, which means he won't be in berserk mode until 3 action after chilling. In addition, if he chills within the 3 action limit, the timer rests.
As long as Kenny is going berserk, he is unaffected by attacks that base on feelings(attract, scary face, charm, etc.). kenny is locked on physical attacks as long as he is going berserk. If Kenny falls below 10% Energy, he will automaticly stop going berserk. In addition to all of the previously noted effects, the only non-damaging moves Kenny can use while going Berserk are Toxic, Swords Dance, and Chill, each for a reason-
Toxic because it is a move that directly 'hits' the target, Swords dance because it's a dance that makes him go violent, and Chill because it makes Kenny stop going berserk anyway. Finally, if a move like Torment, Taunt, or Swagger is used on Kenny, his fury and rage will rise even more, and th damage will be boosted by 5% instead of 3%, but will also cost 4% energy instead of 3% energy per attack.

I hope it's better now.
Kenny should not automatically pop out of berserk mode when in danger of running out of energy, as that obviously helps to negate the condition's drawbacks. The non-damaging moves look as though you went with ones that are useful and you wanted to keep, then tried to come up with some justification for them; it's pretty weak, especially "he can keep chill because it makes him going berserk anyway"--if the whole idea is that he's enraged and totally irrational, then how is he able to calm down enough to chill, regardless of whether after chilling he's managed to shake his rage? Taunt etc. should not give a boost like that, as it makes the signature attribute too powerful for a totodile.

Approved.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

All right, fixing up riolu.

[Celia] riolu (F)
Ability: Inner Focus

Also picking up the charmander I traded for and slapping a sig attribute on him.

[Ouranos] charmander (M)
Sig Attribute: Blue Blood Burns Blue

Ouranos is the descendant of a line of charizard native to the Himalayas. Living at high altitude on icebound peaks, they gradually adapted to the frigid environment with a thickening of their blood and changes in its composition. As a result, their tails produce a clean-burning, hot blue flame rather than one colored the usual red or orange. The flames that they conjure for use in attacks are similarly affected.

Effects: Ouranos' fire-type attacks are blue in color instead of red or orange. They are also hotter than normal fire attacks, with the result that all of his damaging fire-type attacks will do 1% more damage after all other modifiers have been applied. However, in order to produce hotter flame Ouranos also has a higher metabolism than most charmander, with the result that he uses an extra 1% energy per round.

Finally, adding a couple of signature attributes and one signature move.

[Phlogiston] chimchar (F)
Sig Attribute: Fiery Spirit, Spirited Fire

Phlogiston is more in touch with her inner fire than most other monferno. Believing flame the essence of her soul, she has worked long hours to perfect her control over the fire energy that flows throughout her body. As her proficiency in directing her fire energy grew, Phlogiston began to experiment with pushing it farther than she did for her normal attacks, attempting to create new techniques with properties completely unlike the usual flame moves. So far she hasn't had much luck, but she did discover that she is able to infuse half-formed attacks with fire energy without destroying their original properties, achieving attacks that look and feel fire-fueled even though they are built over the scaffold of another kind of energy.

Effects: At the cost of 2% energy per attack, Phlogiston may choose to change the type of whatever attack she is using to fire. This modification may be made to any attack, damaging or otherwise, and does not affect the effects of the attack in any way (e.g. toxic will still poison, fake out will still flinch). However, the attack will be considered fire type for the purpose of calculating damage, interacting with abilities, etc. Because the core of the attack still requires Phlogiston to manipulate energy of whatever type the attack ordinarily would be, she does not gain STAB on any damaging attacks modified in this way.

[Aximili] wooper (M)
Ability: Water Absorb
Sig Attribute: Perpetual Cheer

Aximili is a happy-go-lucky little wooper, forever grinning and looking out for a bit of fun. Whether he is oblivious or simply incredibly laid-back, jeers simply slide off him and obnoxious characters only make him laugh. His own insults and posturing are similarly weak, and he can't seem to muster rage at all. Even in the heat of battle, Aximili keeps up his positive outlook on life, sometimes driving his opponents to distraction with his failure to respond to their provocations.

Effects: Aximili is unfailingly cheerful and upbeat, and he refuses to let others ruin his good mood. As a result, he is immune to the effects of taunt, torment, and swagger, as well as any other attacks that would cause him to become angry or depressed. On the flip side, he is unable to use frustration, facade, or a swagger of his own.

[Liberalis] espeon (F)
Ability: Synchronize
Signature Move: Equilibriate

As a psychic-type well in tune with the flow of energy through her own body and the world around her, Liberalis is a staunch believer in the importance of balance and returning to a stable state of neutrality. Naturally, she spent considerable time perfecting her ability to tune her energy to just the right level, correcting imbalances and driving towards her most harmonious state of mind-body. With long practice, Liberalis became expert enough at the mental exercises necessary to perform such feats that she could even call upon them in the chaos of battle.

Liberalis settles down for a few seconds of quiet meditation, getting in tune with her physical state and beginning to redistribute her life energy, carefully smoothing out discrepancies and driving herself towards a state of balance. The unnatural heightened energy flow caused by enhancing her natural abilities is reduced, leaving excess power to redistribute throughout her body, while repairing damage caused over the course of the battle requires an expenditure of energy. After meditating, Liberalis will be much more calm and relaxed than before, having gotten her thoughts in order and worked to stabilize her internal state.

Type: Psychic / Damage: n/a / Target: Self / Accuracy: 100% / Energy: 2%
Effects: Liberalis may lower the level of any number of her heightened stats by any number of level in order to regain 5% energy per level, or may expend 5% energy per level to raise any number of her lowered stats by any number of levels. For example, if she has +2 special attack, +2 special defense, and -3 speed, she could lower her special attack and special defense by one level each (+10% energy) and raise her speed by one level (-5% energy) for a net gain of 5% energy and a final stat spread of +1 special attack, +1 special defense, and -2 speed. Stats can only be raised or lowered until they reach their neutral defaults (or "+0"). Also, a stat can only be moved towards neutral (thus, negative stats can only be improved upon and positive ones only lowered), while neutral stats cannot be altered at all. Additionally, performing this signature move calms Liberalis down considerably, returning her to a more or less content emotional state.
Usage Gap: Nine actions

Getting a Sig Move for my Porygon~

[GLaDOS] Porygon (X)
Ability: Download

Obtained

Signature Move: Weighted Companion Cube

GLaDOS is not your typical Porygon; it was manufactured not by Silph Co., but a rival company called Pokéture Science for testing with behaviour and computerized teaching of other Pokémon. It possesses several abilities that a regular Porygon from Silph Co. does not. One of these is the ability to creature an illusionary object, known as a 'Companion Cube' in the mind of another Pokémon in battle.

The target will become infatuated with the Companion Cube just as if it were another Pokémon of the appropriate gender, but only it can see and 'interact' with it; any other Pokemon in the battle besides the target and GLaDOS will be unaware the Cube exists.

But over time, the targeted Pokemon will become more and more paranoid towards the Cube - and GLaDOS's - intentions. This is how the infatuation is decreased over time, instead of being attacked, as the Companion Cube is an inanimate object. The infatuation works as normal otherwise. The attack of an affected Pokemon will also drop sharply as long as the Companion Cube is in view as long as it is infatuated with it. When the infatuation fades, the Cube will disappear.

Psychic Type / Special / Accuracy: 95% / Damage: -- / Energy: 7% / Causes infatuation with illusionary Companion Cube, decreases attack of affected Pokemon by -2 temporarily. / Target: One Foe / Duration: Until infatuation fades / Usage Gap: Once a battle per foe, three rounds between use. Only one foe at a time can be affected.

I'm such a massive nerd for this.

I doubled the waiting time because I came to a conclusion that Kenny might need some time to get back into his fury.
And I editted the Tant etc. stuff to make it make more sense.

The effects and energy cost seem fair, but there are a few details that should be ironed out: does this work against genderless Pokemon? And what about Pokemon with the Oblivious ability? And since Porygon is a stage one out of three, I'm a bit leery on the effects - I think -1 attack would be more balanced.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

How does this constitute 3 EXP?

Oh whoops you don't need to get items approved in the PRO do you :/
I was trying to use the Rare Candy I got for Christmas through the Gift Exchange. Do I need to link to the post in that thread where I claimed my gifts?

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

A rare candy is worth one EXP, not three. Unless you were missing a link in there, you don't have enough to evolve the beldum.

It would probably be easier for you to pay to evolve it than to waste a rare candy on it.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Really? Lacuna Labs doesn't make that clear as far as I can see; I assumed it gives 3EXP because it costs that many to have one made.

Well, long and embarrassing chain of misunderstandings aside, I think I'll just sheepishly pay the $30 instead and stop obsessing over my money so much xD
