what if like Aimee feels kinda bad since she made him take off his suit in a way, and says she just wants to help with the stuff he has to do without really giving any other reason why, and at some point she rolls up her sleeves and he can see all the recently healing bruises and scars on her arms? Actually, Byron's power hinders him more than helps. But he's found ways to compensate, hence his "mind over matter" philosophy.

And I had an idea with Vidal's suit that seems a bit superhero-ish, but I though you might want to hear it regardless. So if just controlling his powers themselves is too much, he could always craft the suit to release controlled bursts of contagious, horrible, corrosive gasses/fluids. And then he can make an Iron Man suit
