• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Most stuff involving me is weird so its to be expected. =P

Well, I don't really use the forums, so yeah. x3

Ha ha, well, quoth a paraphrased adage, my position changes when new information comes in, and I would not have it otherwise. =3

(Internal reaction: Wow! You know more than one trans* person in person! You must be really trustworthy and friendly! I only know, like, one. ...And that's me.)

But uh, how it feels to be transgender, well it kind of differs.

Dysphoria: "Oh how I hate living. I dislike interacting as a MALE with an ugly MALE face and an ugly MALE voice and an ugly MALE name." Also, "All of life is just a decay into death......preceding that... MALENESS. Which is worse than death in my opinion. -stares longingly at a knife-"

Euphoria: "Oh my gosh someone said 'she' in general reference to me!! I know its a stranger that I was 10 feet away from but oh my gosh! =D" Also, "Wearing a dress is reeeeeaaaaallly fucking comfortable. I feel so secure and nice. I could just fall asleep. ...oh wait, someone will find me. ...I don't think I care. =w="

So yeah, it can be very bad or very nice with absolutely no in-betweens.

Yeah, I dunno if you can tell. I mean, on one hand, they could just not be invested in the concept of machoness pragmatically (non-manly stuff is fun!), though, on the other hand, I HATED sports and competitive games, I LOVED imaginative games, and all of my self-representation was that of a girl (though not explicitly, just that my self-representation was done in the style of how I did girls normally.) and I identified with girl characters and/or crossdressing characters, and yeah. So...I guess maybe introduce it to him/her and find out? Because I had absolutely no concept of trans-anything until I was...old. So yeah. :P

(Also, yes, this is deep. Sssshhh. xD)
Well, I'm glad for LaVeyanism and/or Objectivism then! I personally got self-discovery from...

    Butterfree, our Goddess. x3

Seriously, she and other debaters here debated me out of revealed religion.

Also, tCoD was instrumental in me discovering my transsexuality. Here is the series of links that led to my self discover as such:

1)Rumors of Glitch City in Pokemon.
2)Putting 'Glitch City' in Google Image Search.
3)Clicking on an image from TRSRockin and becoming enthused with the site.
4)Finding an affiliate button with tCoD
5)Going to tCoD, reading a whole bunch of stuff and seeing another affiliate button for Dogasu's backpack.
6)Going to Dogasu's backpack and going through the episode guides, one of which contained a link to TV Tropes.
7)Going to TV Tropes, looking up Pokemon Special/Adventures, because I was fascinated by Yellow, and characters like her, that is, girls who were forced to crossdress and act as boys due to circumstances.
    8)Thus finding Sweet Polly Oliver.
    9)Investigating the Transgender Tropes index.
    10)Reading the article on Transsexuality.
    11)[Many related searches.]

    Weird, huh?

Ah, and the Bible is clearly advocating God as the Good Guy, but I don't care, (Death of the Artist/Author), because I want the art to still have some sort of context to be enjoyed, even if that context is different than the original.
LaVeyan Satanism just seems so small minded with its vast array of possible symbology and re-contextualization.
Aww, well I can help you in the next one if there one! Not math though, I suck at that. x3

The universe is basically the sum of a transcendent consciousness' thoughts. Which, observing the universe, we can assume about the what-could be called God:

    1) God's consciousness is possibly based in another reality, whose ordering principles are possibly mathematical in nature. (This connects to Platonic realism, that is, all physical objects are based on pure Forms/abstract-objects.)
    2) God is not actively thinking, just maintaining that a system of thought can continue existing. That is, self-preservation of reality is going on, but not anything that can be called 'design'. (Hence possibly why time is self-consistent despite it possibly not being so.)

And so on. So yeah, God's mind basically. You were right. :D

    Also: -friends- =3

(Going to be gone for a few minutes possibly also if there is a delay in response.)
    Well, basically:

Pragmatic- An object is real if it affects other objects, a piece of information is true if it is meaningful and can function as such, common basic beliefs (human beings able to observe and reason fairly accurately, existence of other minds and external world, self-consistent external world) are held to be reliable.

Humanitarian- All people should be treated with dignity and respect no matter the (usually not chosen) circumstances they live in/by.

Spinozism/Secular Panentheism: The Cosmos is a system that is able to facilitate interactions between its components while being intelligible as more than the sum of its components. A Conscious Being's body of though is a system that is able to facilitate interactions between its components while being intelligible as more than the sum of its components. Therefore, the Cosmos can be thought of as a body of thought belonging to an unknown Conscious Being due to its transcendent unity and material diversity. (Kind of complex and I may not have explained that well, my apologies if that is the case.) However, the 'secular' bit is to stress that this alleged Conscious Being is unknown and determined to exist by rational means and not revealed religion or religious thought in general.

    And now you know! x3
Can you please post and tell butterfree that over here in America a group of black people threatened whites with sticks and kept them from voting so reverse racism is very real?
If I did he would just give me another infraction and I would be perma banned from the forums. It's pretty annoying.

Have you heard of the New Black Panther case?
Hey, I finally found something I totally agree with you on! The whole racism thread thingy! I would throw in my two cents but James banned me for being conservative.
