Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Medium (Psyduck) (m) Ability: Damp
Signature Move: Headache Burst

Medium has trained for years with his trainer on perfecting his psychic ability. One day, he was fighting a Graveler, when it used a rock slide and a rock landed smack bang on the top of his head. He suffered a massive headache, but a massive burst of Psychic energy was released from his head.

He trained this power up after finding out about it. When he has taken sufficient damage, Medium channels all the pain into his head, creating a extremely excruciating headache. This, in turn creates a massive blue pulse of pure psychic energy, pushing anything in his path away.

Type: Psychic / Stat: Special / Base Damage: 15% / Accuracy: 90% / Target: All / Energy: 20% / Effects: If Medium takes more than 10% damage in the last action, he can release a powerful pulse of Psychic energy, damaging all other pokemon on the field. if there are any items that are not nailed down on the field (eg: rocks. scraps of metal) they will be flung about by the pulse. After the pulse has dissipated, he will be severely confused. Duration: 1 action / Usage Gap: 8 actions

Better?

Yup. Approved.

[Gorda]Rhyhorn(Male)
Ability: Rock Head
Signature Move: Mt. Powehouse striker

Gorda was born in Mt. Powerhouse, a mountain in which the rule of 'eat or be eaten' is more than true.

Just like any pokemon that lived in Mt. Powehouse, Gorda had to learn how to survive, fight, and be strong, no matter how hard it was.

After training for months, Gorda has learned how to concentrate high amounts of energy in his horn, and then stab his enemies.

Believing in the 'eat or be eaten' rule, Gorda has decided to train the attack over and over, day and night, until he had learned how to concentrate a certain type in his horn.

When Gorda activates this abillity, dark energy starts getting stored in his horn, looking like a dark vacuum that swirls around his horn. Once Gorda has stored enough energy, his horn gets covered by a dark glow that makes releases smoke and makes his horn seem to be longer.

Type: Dark / Stat: Physical / Damage: 8%/ Accuracy: 100% / Target: Single / Energy: 8% to activate, 4% for each attack afterwards

Effects: Gorda stores energy in his horn for 1 action, and then starts stabbing his opponent as hard as he can. With each hit Gorda scores, there is a 30% chance that the attack will lower the target's defense by 1, and a 5% chance that the target will flinch. Gorda can keep the energy stored for up to 5 actions. The dark energy can stay for five actions, and Gorda can freely choose with each attack wether he will sue the attack or not.

Usage gap: 12 Actions.
---------
Will it be okay to change the 'five actions' to 'five attacks'?

I bet not, but still worth to ask.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

The two aspects of Misdreavus "biology" that you're basing this on are not stated or implied in any official sources. (That I know of.) You'll need to come up with another explanation for how Envy has this ability. The "black hole" thing doesn't really fly with me - how does Envy herself not get sucked in if the thing is inside her? Also, are you saying that Envy's opponents are sucked directly into the black hole? How would they possibly get out?

(On a less important note, here at ASB we discreetly cover up any deaths have a strict no-killing policy, so you might not want to use the word 'lethal'.)

The core itself is very weak, and hardly a black hole. I just named it that so it would sound cool.

The core is just strong enough to hold Envy together. Envy just charges the core so it can suck in her enemies.

That being said, is it fair as a move? I'm more worried about that.

Approved, and as for your question, no.

Please repost your move if you have questions about it in the future so I don't have to do things like open another tab in order to read it on the previous page while responding.

In any case, for me the misdreavus turning herself inside-out is weirder than the black hole thing (make it a "vacuum" and you should be fine). I'm afraid there are a lot of unanswered questions about the move.

Is there any way for an opponent to escape from the vacuum once sucked in? If so, how? Can they damage Envy while in its grip? It would be nice to have a better idea of exactly what the vacuum is capable of sucking in (how weak is weak? How strong is not very strong?) and how great its range is. Pokémon take no damage aside from the initial 5% if there's nothing else in the vacuum with them? As an aside, anything on fire would go out in this sort of environment.

Additionally, there must be some sort of upper limit on how long Envy can keep using the attack, and either actions is too short of a usage gap (although I can't say how long it should be without knowing a bit more about the move).

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

So, I've changed the inside out thing.

Envy
Female
Levitate

Sig move: Black Hole

When dealing with Misdreavus, there are two things you need to keep in mind.

First, Misdreavus are merely a dark blue cloth with a necklace and eyes. They should not have the ability to move or float around. However, Misdreavus are able to do so due to having a ghostly core with properties similar to that of a weak, ghostly vacuum inside their bodies.

Secondly, Misdreavus have the ability to make the core expand.

Envy is quite intelligent, and eventually figured out a technique that she could use putting both of these attributes. Eventually, through practice and prolonged worship of Palkia, she discovered how to make her move powerful.

Envy folds herself up into the core, revealing the vacuum waves. It will begin to suck everything on the field towards it, with lighter Pokemon and flying Pokemon coming into it first. Enemy attacks will also be sucked in. These moves will deal damage to anything it collides with, and will do a bit of reduced damage (half the regular amount) to Envy while in this form (as the core tkaes most of the actual damage. The move has little damaging power on its own, but combined with enemy attacks, the damage racks up fast.

If an opponent collides with any attacks sucked up in the vacuum, they will take respective damage. For example, if there was a flame that would deal 5% damage and may burn the opponent, when collided with, the opponent will take 5% damage and could be burned. Attacks will stay in the vacuum's grip until they are destroyed (ie, if the fire was put out). The damage is continuous.

Envy, due to the immense stress, will close herself off after three actions by default.

Type: Ghost / Stat: Special / Base Damage: 5% upon collision with the hole, respective damage dealt for collision with fire, Spikes, etc. / Accuracy: -- / Target: All / Energy: 10% to turn inside out, 5% each turn she holds it
Effects: Envy will turn into a vortex, sucking up all loose objects, fire, Spikes, and opposing Pokemon. The pull isn't too strong, but a weakened Pokemon could easily be overpowered by it. The closer you are to it, the more likely you'll be sucked in, and the harder it is to get out. Anything the Pokemon collides with while inside the hole will damage the Pokemon as if it had collided with it normally.
Duration: as many actions as Envy likes, but after 3 actions, she'll put the vacuum inside her body automatically. (must specifically state when to close the black hole) / Usage Gap: 5 rounds

Acceptable?

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Aaand Blazhy would like to get another one of her weird signature moves approved.

Snorunt
[Snorunt] Yukianesa (F)
Ability: Inner Focus

Signature Move: Pebble Jet

It's a well-known fact that Snorunt are shy, reclusive creatures, retreating deep into chilly caves to live among the ice and stalagmites come spring. There, they dine on snow, never taking so much as a peek outside until winter arrives once more. After all, why would they? The warmth makes them uncomfortable, there are scary predators outside, and who needs to budge an inch when you've got piles of food in front of your nose?

There are rare occasions when a Snorunt's food supply runs out, but that's not much of a problem, either; all they have to do is scurry out of their cave and find another one. Hoenn has an abundance of caves, after all. In other words, spring and summer are more or less the easiest season's for a Snorunt. Nothing to do but eat, sleep, and eat some more.

Two or so years ago, the summer was incredibly hot and humid, the temperatures reaching above thirty degrees Celsius on almost a daily basis. While it was a horrid time for most living creatures, it was understandably more so for the poor Snorunt. Not only did they feel uncomfortably warm, their precious snow began to melt! While most of the cone-shaped Pokemon hurried to the Shoal Cave, where in the deepest chambers it was cold all year, a few simply could not.

Yukianesa was one of the few.

You see, Yukianesa was born and raised in the Island Cave. Like most of her species, she was timid and easy to scare - so timid, in fact, that she didn't even think of leaving her home until it was too late. Along came spring, thawing the ice that provided her only bridge to the rest of Hoenn. For a while she thought she was safe, since there was always at least some ice in the far corners of the small cavern (that was due to Regice's influence, though she didn't know that), but summer mercilessly melted what little frozen liquid there was left in a matter of days. There was no way for Yukianesa to scamper to other caves - Snorunt, with their stubby arms and legs, simply aren't made to swim - and there were still many, many weeks 'til fall would arrive. So she did the only thing she could do. Yukianesa ate rocks.

Her teeth, already hardened from months of eating solid ice, actually didn't fare too bad against granite. After several bites, she noted with surprise that rocks actually... weren't that bad. Calcium, sodium, and other delectable minerals all compressed into a small, hard package - mmm! Up until this day, Yukianesa has been eating rocks along with her usualy snow-and-ice Snorunt diet.

As such, she always has rocks in her stomach, usually ground into smaller bits by her teeth, though you might find some larger chunks. During battle, she can bring up rock bits, as well as acids, from her stomach to spit at her opponent in a stream of pebbles and chartreuse, burning liquid.

Type: Rock / Damage: 6% / Target: Single / Accuracy: 95% / Energy: 6%
Effects: Yukianesa brings up half-dissolved pebbles from her stomach along with acids and spits it in a high-pressure jet at her opponent. The sheer friction of the rough particles, as well as the corrosive nature of the liquid, actually burns through any fur, scales, or skin the opponent has to expose a spot of tender, hot flesh. This flesh is very sensitive to cold, so any ice-typed attacks aimed there will deal 2% more damage, after all calculations. However, Yukianesa is obviously bothered by her own acids, and as such the usage of this attack deals 2% damage to herself. Finally, she can only use this attack once per battle, since she only has one stomach to empty.
Usage Gap: Once per battle

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Kam

Still doesn't address whether pokémon can escape from the vacuum before Envy ends it and if/how they can attack her while inside it (you said that attacks will be sucked into it, yes, but nothing about attacks begun within the vacuum itself or of a physical nature). Express time in actions or rounds, not "turns." Still no indication of how "weakened" a pokémon has to be to be susceptible to the attack. When you say "the damage is continuous" of attacks that were sucked in by the vacuum, does that mean that absorbing, say, a rock throw would be dealing about 5% per action the pokémon was in the vacuum? What about for an attack like energy ball? Does that last for more than one action?

blazheirio889

2% extra damage for each ice attack on a particular area can easily add up to quite a lot over the course of the battle; either have this effect fade after some time or up the drawbacks for this attack.

Also, since this attack involves emptying her stomach, she'll feel understandably hungry for the rest of the battle, causing her to be more hesitant to move a great deal. Basically, this translates into a 1% damage deduction for all physical attacks she uses from there-on. Finally, she can only use this attack once per battle, since she only has one stomach to empty.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Trying to get larry a new sig attribute.
-----
[Larry] Chimchar (M)
Ability: Blaze
Signature Attribute: Hyper fighter

Chimchar, Monferno and Infernape species pokemon have always been known as hyper- as a matter of fact, so hyper only few trainers could acctualy handle them.

Larry has always been a very, and by very I mean extremly hyper pokemon, even for a chimchar- whenever he was doing anything, no matter what it was, he was moving and jumping around, usually confusing and frusrating pokemon around him.

Over the time, Larry has learned that his hyper-ness could be very useful. He started using it in battle, jumping around to dodge attacks, and attacking his opponents in confusing ways. While this technique turned out to be useful, Larry has also found that moving around restlessly could turn out to be exhausting.

For this reason, Larry has also trained in stopping his hyperactivity for short sessions to regain energy before going back to his activities.

Effects: Because Larry is extremly hyper, he almost never stops moving in battle. Whenever Larry hits an enemy with a physical attack, there is a 10% chance he will confuse his target, while the chance with special attacks is 5%. In addition, Larry's speed stat is raised by 1, since he moves a lot.
However, being extemly active has it's toll- Whenever Larry uses a physical attack, it costs him 3% more energy after all calculations. Special attacks cost 2% more. If Larry wants to chill, he has to calm down, taking away his speed boost.
After chilling, Larry has to wait for 3 actions before going back into hyper mode, and whenever he chills in the waiting phase, it rests.
-------------

I hope it's balanced. If not, I still won't give up!

I think you mean "resets" in the last sentence, not "rests."

Pick either the upped confusion chance or the speed increase, and then you can drop the energy cost to 2% for physical attacks and 1% for special. For the moment you can't get both speed and confusion.
