Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Im trying to get Gorda a signature move!

[Gorda]Rhyhorn(Male)
Ability: Rock Head
Signature Move: Mt. Powehouse striker

Gorda was born in Mt. Powerhouse, a mountain in which the rule of 'eat or be eaten' is more than true.

Just like any pokemon that lived in Mt. Powehouse, Gorda had to learn how to survive, fight, and be strong, no matter how hard it was.

After training for months, Gorda has learned how to concentrate high amounts of energy in his horn, and then stab his enemies.

Believing in the 'eat or be eaten' rule, Gorda has decided to train the attack over and over, day and night, until he had learned how to concentrate a certain type in his horn.

Type: Dark / Stat: Physical / Damage: 7%/ Accuracy: 95% / Target: Single / Energy: 5% to activate, 4% for each attack afterwards

Effects: Gorda stores energy in his horn for 1 action, and then starts stabbing his opponent as hard as he can. With each hit Gorda scores, there is a 30% chance that the attack will lower the target's defense by 1, and a 5% chance that the target will flinch. Gorda can keep the energy stored for up to 5 actions.

Usage gap: 5 Actions.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I mean that their first action after being sent out would be mourning. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear earlier.
Nooo, I got that... rather, I don't see how a pokémon would know how Kappa had been knocked out, seeing as it would have been in its pokéball and unaware of what had been going on in the battle up to that point.

[Kappa] Mudkip (M)
Ability: Torrent
Sig Attribute/Body Mod: Natural Leader

Kappa is well known for his charisma, kindness, and never say die attitude. Due to this, Kappa is well liked by his fellow mons, and is a natural born leader. He's sort of like the Barack Obama of the Pokemon world.

Now, let's hypothetically say, that, oh, I don't know, Barack Obama was shot.

You'd probably feel sad that such a great leader has passed away... and then you'd feel angry. You'd do anything to avenge the fallen leader!

That's what happens with Kappa's teammates.

When Kappa is knocked out, his companions will mourn for him after he is knocked out. After that, though, they'll get angry.

Very angry.

Effects: If Kappa is knocked out, his teammate will drop what it's doing and mourn on the next action it takes. In a single battle, the Pokemon sent out next will spend their first action mourning for Kappa, and in a 2v2 battle, his teammate will mourn the action immediately after Kappa dies. After that, it will try to avenge Kappa. To do such, it will gain a +1 in Attack and Special Attack.

Better.
Replace 2v2 with "double." As you can surmise from what I wrote above, I'm still not seeing how a pokémon would logically know that Kappa had been knocked out in a single-battle situation.
[Gorda]Rhyhorn(Male)

Usage gap: 5 Actions.
The description needs to cover what the attack actually looks like when in use. Either up initial energy use to 8% or increase the energy required for each subsequent attack to 5%. If Gorda doesn't use this signature move's stab attack on one of the actions after he's stored up energy, does the energy dissipate, or can he later return to use the stab later on (provided it's still within the five-action window)?

Usage gap should be twelve actions.

Pokémon signature moves take all kinds of breaks from reality, but generally not of a sort like thunder armor or other things that violate what basic logic the Pokémon world still follows, despite its weirdness. Knowing about things you have not perceived or been informed of falls under this category, I feel. Mind-links would be acceptable for a psychic-type pokémon, but not a mudkip.

When Gorda activates this abillity, dark energy starts getting stored in his horn, looking like a dark vacuum that swirls around his horn. Once Gorda has stored enough energy, his horn gets covered by a dark glow that makes releases smoke and makes his horn seem to be longer.

Type: Dark / Stat: Physical / Damage: 8%/ Accuracy: 100% / Target: Single / Energy: 8% to activate, 4% for each attack afterwards

Gorda can keep the energy stored for up to 5 actions. The dark energy can stay for five actions, but if Gorda uses an attack other the dark stab, half the attack's damage becomes dark(Meaning a stone edge would deal 5% of rock and 5% of dark damage).

Usage gap: 12 Actions.
----------------------------------

Right, I editted the signatture move.

Edit: Also trying for Larry.
---------------------
[Larry]Chimchar(M)
Ability: Blaze
Signature Attribute: Hippy chimp

Larry has always been a happy chimp, being happy even in the worst of cases. Therefor, he always tried to cheer up his allies, giving them courage and cheering them up. Larry always radiats happines, even when inside a pokeball. However, when Larry is defeated, the happines he normally radiates fades away.

Effects: When Larry takes part in a battle, even if he is in his pokeball, all active pokemon gain a 1 point boost in attack and special attack.
Attacks like return used by either Larry or one of his allies gain a 3% boost, while frustration loses 5% of its power.
However, these effects only take part if Larry has taken part in the battle(being out ofr 1 round is enough), but still stay when Larry is in his pokeball, although the effects fade away when Larry is knocked out.

That effect is too powerful, especially with such simple conditions and a tiny drawback; furthermore, along the lines of what Negrek told Kam earlier, I think it's too strong a break from reality for Larry to exude happiness even when he's in his ball. Restricting it so that it only works when Larry is actually in battle is a start, and then you'd probably need to go on to clarify that this attribute only works in double battles, as that's really the only logical way to handle it.

I'd prefer that you leave out the type-splitting effect on the non-stab attacks. Either make all attacks used (perhaps just attacks involving the horn) dark-type, or leave off the type change altogether.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

The Union has just noticed that we need to tweak these signature moves a little.

Alakazam Phanel [M] (Synchronize)
Signature Move: Tortured Souls of the Dragonslayer

Phanel is more than a little insane. He believes himself to be destined to destroy the entirety of the Dragon element, and indeed has fought against many of them (Gible, Gabite, and Bagon for the Union, and many more before he joined.) His method of killing was not traditional sword-through-the-heart-style, but rather more devious: he would trap their minds in an alternate dimension.

Before his final stage of evolution, Phanel could only send minds to the dimension, and not during battle: he had to have his opponents fainted, and completely at his mercy. But with his evolution to Alakazam came complete understanding of the dimension, and now he is able to call upon the souls trapped within it and force them to do his bidding. They manifest as wisps of concentrated Dragon energy that pour from a portal Phanel opens in midair, and will savage anything they find that is alive until Phanel calls them back. Calling upon the dimension takes a massive toll on Phanel, however, in both energy and health.

Type: Dragon / Damage Type: Special / Base Damage: 15% per action / Target: All / Energy: 10% per action / Accuracy: 90% / Effects: Unleashes dragon spirits unto the battlefield that attack anything living, or indeed anything that moves. Phanel can keep it open for up to 2 actions but pays 7% health for every action it is open. He then takes an action to close it, during which he cannot do anything else. / Duration: 2-3 actions / Usage Gap: Once per battle

---

Rotom Danver [X] (Levitate)
Signature move: Phone Call

Danver functions as the Union's communications device. He can instantaneously contact via phone call any of the other Union members stationed at the barracks, and shortly afterward they will arrive to help him out in battle, and then return to home base. If the arena is located somewhere distant, then teleportation is provided courtesy of Phanel. (This still takes the same amount of time as traveling by foot.) If it's a double battle, then obviously the Union member(s) fighting alongside Danver cannot be called upon. Previously defeated Pokemon from the same battle can be called, however. This attack can only be used while Danver is in Phone Forme.

Type: Normal/Varies / Damage Type: Varies / Base Damage: Varies / Target: Self/1 Foe/All / Energy: 8% / Accuracy: 90% / Effects: Summons a random union member two turns after the call is made, similar to Future Sight. The Union member performs one attack and then leaves Union members who can come include:
Ganteiana (Flamethrower)
Teropea (Leaf Blade)
Waita (Ice Beam)
Phanel (Psychic)
Sarae (Earthquake)
/ Duration: 1 action / Usage Gap: Every four rounds

Is this better?

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I'd like to get a sig move for my Misdreavus.

misdreavus
Envy
Female
Levitate

Sig move: Black Hole

When dealing with Misdreavus, there are two things you need to keep in mind.

First, Misdreavus are merely a dark blue cloth with a necklace and eyes. They should not have the ability to move or float around. However, Misdreavus are able to do so due to having a ghostly core with properties similar to that of a weak black hole inside their bodies.

Secondly, Misdreavus have the ability to turn themselves inside out.

Envy is quite intelligent, and eventually figured out a technique that she could use putting both of these attributes. Eventually, through practice and prolonged worship of Palkia, she discovered how to make her move lethal.

Envy will turn herself inside out and iosurbyhea0r9h to be edited aaargh stupid stupid school gaaaaah

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I'd like to try and get a Sig Move for Medium, my Psyduck. (And hopefully it'll go better than the attribute for Dodo.)

Medium (Psyduck) (m) Ability: Damp
Signature Move: Headache Burst

Medium has trained for years with his trainer on perfecting his psychic ability. One day, he was fighting a Graveler, when it used a rock slide and a rock landed smack bang on the top of his head. He suffered a massive headache, but a massive burst of Psychic energy was released from his head.

He trained this power up after finding out about it. When he has taken sufficient damage, Medium channels all the pain into his head, creating a extremely excruciating headache. This, in turn creates a massive blue pulse of pure psychic energy, pushing anything in his path away.

Type: Psychic / Stat: Special / Base Damage: 15% / Accuracy: 90% / Target: All / Energy: 20% / Effects: If Medium takes more than 10% damage in the last action, he can release a powerful pulse of Psychic energy, damaging all foes on the field. if there are any items that are not nailed down on the field (eg: rocks. scraps of metal) they will be flung about by the pulse. After the pulse has dissipated, he will be severely confused. Duration: 1 action / Usage Gap: 8 actions

Envy turns her body inside out, revealing the lethal ghostly core. It will begin to suck everything on the field towards it, including attacks and Pokemon. The move has little damaging power on its own, but combined with enemy attacks, the damage is lethal.

Type: Ghost / Stat: Special / Base Damage: 5% upon collision with the hole, respective damage dealt for collision with fire, Spikes, etc. / Accuracy: -- / Target: All / Energy: 10% to turn inside out, 3% each turn she holds it
Effects: Envy will turn into a vortex, sucking up all loose objects, fire, Spikes, and opposing Pokemon. The pull isn't too strong, but a weakened Pokemon could easily be overpowered by it. The closer you are to it, the more likely you'll be sucked in. Anything the Pokemon collides with while inside the hole will damage the Pokemon as if it had collided with it normally.
Duration: as many actions as Envy likes (must specifically state when to close the black hole) / Usage Gap: 8 actions

Acceptable?

The two aspects of Misdreavus "biology" that you're basing this on are not stated or implied in any official sources. (That I know of.) You'll need to come up with another explanation for how Envy has this ability. The "black hole" thing doesn't really fly with me - how does Envy herself not get sucked in if the thing is inside her? Also, are you saying that Envy's opponents are sucked directly into the black hole? How would they possibly get out?

(On a less important note, here at ASB we discreetly cover up any deaths have a strict no-killing policy, so you might not want to use the word 'lethal'.)
