DarthWaffles vs Darksong

Huh, that went decently well. Now we can lag this game out a little more! Okay, just spam that setup. Confuse Ray, Toxic then Heal Block. If Dysalia Safeguards, then switch to Payback, Payback and Payback, always waiting for her to move first of course. However, if on the second and third actions she attempts to throw you off, use Gravity to prevent that, or at least make it very difficult. Once per round, naturally.

Confuse Ray/Payback ~ Toxic/Payback/Gravity ~ Toxic/Payback/Gravity

Apparently, I can't even use Safeguard right now (Imprison :P) So since I feel like being evil, start with Magic Coat to ward of the confusion and hand it to the Bronzor. Then Substitute for 10% health, and finally Shadow Ball.

Round 12

Dysalia wastes no time as the battle resumes. Using her psychic abilities, she coats her body in the faintest blue aura. Stamford, wanting to stop her before she pulls something freaky, reacts by charging a yellow light in his top ball and releasing it in a brilliant beam in the direction of Dysalia. The light reacts with the Girafarig’s blue aura, rendering it harmless to her even as it shines right in her eyes. The aura absorbs the light, and once Stamford finishes his attack, reflects it back in a beam that blinds the Bronzor instead. As both the aura and most of the yellow light fade, Stamford blinks until his vision is returned. Though he can see, there are still odd balls of yellow light hovering around him. Even more importantly though, how in the world did his own attack end up striking him?

The battlers suddenly feel as though a great weight has been lifted from them. As the gravity returns to normal, a new image begins to form. This time, though, Dysalia is the one causing the lines’ appearance. They take the shape of a Girafarig outline, which Dysalia awakens with her psychic powers. The drawn-on eyes glow a sinister blue to match her creator’s own aura as the new mass moves to stand near said creator. Stamford, meanwhile, has only just discovered that the loss of weight was really the loss of gravity’s hold over him and has risen back into the air. He looks over at Dysalia to see not one, but two Girafarig now opposing him (even if one looks incomplete), thus furthering his confusion. Nevertheless, Stamford ignores the lights and decides to try a different trick. This time, his top ball glows a sickening purple. From there is where he hurls a gross-looking purple glob of goo towards his opponents. Dysalia calmly steps back a few paces to allow her copy to stand in front of her. The poisonous purple glob slaps into the clone’s left side and begins to harmlessly slide down. This just manages to confuse Stamford all the more; even though the other Girafarig is just an outline, it managed to block his attack! How the heck does that work?

Dysalia’s copy returns to her position as her master begins to form a shadowy orb in between the two glowing antennae on her head. The sphere quickly grows, and when it is big enough, Dysalia hurls it forwards with a flick of her head. The attack collides with Stamford, who was still wondering what had happened just moments ago, and he is thrown backwards into the center of the arena. The Bronzor tries to retaliate, but there are just too many questions buzzing about his head even for his psychic-type mind to figure out, not to mention the bizarre floating yellow orbs that won’t seem to leave him alone. He angrily leaps at one of the glowing orbs, but it evades him just as quickly, leaving him to land face-first on the floor. The flags are waved as Stamford clumsily hovers back into the air.

Arena Notes
-RNG was a 24 for the arena change this round. Therefore, that indestructible mine cart is slowly drifting along above the battlers on its U-shaped track. There’s a couple beams holding up the track on each end, as well as a few along the track itself. One of the poles on Stamford’s side is broken, though. Dysalia is still on her respective side of the field, while Stamford hovering around the center.

Round 12 Notes
-For the sake of keeping the ending stats clean, the copied the Imprisoned moves here instead: Charge Beam, Chill, Confuse Ray, Dream Eater, Earthquake, Flash, Heal Block, Hypnosis, Safeguard, Toxic, and Trick Room are all Imprisoned (1 more round)
-Togetic: Your verbal orders contradicted your final orders on action 3; I assume you meant to put Heal Block in the final commands rather than toxic. I was going to go with Heal Block anyway, though it ended up not mattering, since Stamford hurt himself in confusion that action anyway.
-Sorry for the lateness… way too much drama this weekend and I’m all stressed out.
-Darksong moves first.

Well, I'm finally doing something right. Anyway, time to move on. Even though it's confused, you still want to be careful. First Calm Mind, and then Shadow Ball, and finally Shadow Ball again.

Huh. All we can do now is stall it out a little longer. Bronzor, WHY CAN YOU NOT WTFBOOM?

Go for a Trick Room on the first action as she uses Calm Mind. If you get para/confusion owned, don't worry about it. Try again on the Shadow Ball, then Endure on the second. If you do get a trick room on the first action, simply use Payback. Cmon RNG gods, please love me.

Round 13

Once again the flags are waived, and once again the arena responds accordingly. The mine cart and its tracks vanish, to be replaced by a familiar sight in the center of the arena: a small boat, tiny flag and all, being supported in the air by a cloud.

This just serves to confuse Stamford even more, as the boat appeared out of thin air just above him. Dysalia remains calm throughout this. Very calm, in fact: she’s retreated into her mind, letting her thoughts roam as she blocks out the rest of the world for a little while. The psychic energy she releases to do so spreads out across her body, and afterwards, as she comes out of her self-induced trance, she even feels stronger somehow. Stamford, meanwhile, is completely oblivious to what Dysalia is up to. Already distracted by the low-flying cloud, one of the yellow orbs floats away from him and drifts into it. Curious, Stamford decides to follow it and see what’s inside the cloud… only to ram into the bottom of the boat.

Dysalia giggles as Stamford re-emerges from the cloud. Still smarting from the bump on the head, he takes no notice of the purple shadowy orb forming in Dysalia’s antennae. By the time he sees it, the ghostly blob is already sailing through the air towards him. The blast strikes him head-on, literally, ramming him harshly into the ground. The normally yellow eyes of the Bronzor fade to the dull blue of his body as he gives in to unconsciousness, the harsh blow to the face having drained him of any will to keep going. It is then that the ref’s flag waves, officially declaring the KO and ending the round.

-Dysalia’s Shadow ball was a critical hit, and KO’d Stamford on action 2, and would have done so even if he didn’t hurt himself, though barely.
-The aforementioned Imprisoned moves (Charge Beam, Chill, Confuse Ray, Dream Eater, Earthquake, Flash, Heal Block, Hypnosis, Safeguard, Toxic, and Trick Room) are unbarred now.
-Let’s see… Togetic sends out and attacks since it would be his turn, and Darksong attacks second.

Wait, wouldn't Togetic send out because it's his Pokemon that fainted? In which case, which order would the attacking go in?

Oh really? Sorry about that then, here are the commands.

Huh, lets experiment a little. Go for three Crunches. If she tries to status you in any way, go for a 16% Substitute, or if thats impossible, a Safeguard works too. Only once of course.

Stamford is withdrawn into his pokéball for a well-deserved rest. Togetic tosses a new pokéball to the field, releasing Stamford’s replacement, a Growlithe by the name of Fulford. Round 14

Dysalia takes the initiative, her eyes glowing an eerie golden color. The air around her also takes on a similar glow, until a semisolid golden bubble is completely formed around the Girafarig’s side of the field. Fulford is feeling hungry, and is more than willing to comply with her trainers’ wishes as she rushes forwards. She is slowed down considerably by the golden dome around Dysalia, though she manages to still reach her target. Just as she is about to bite down, however, the Girafarig-outline extends a leg which Fulford then bites down on, rather than Dysalia’s leg, which he had been targeting.

Having no mud in the arena to fling, Dysalia is forced to create some. She turns sideways so that her tail’s head can aim, and it spits out a glob of conjured mud into Fulford’s eyes. The Growlithe whines, but she refuses to relinquish what she still believes to be her opponent’s leg. She tightens her grip, biting down hard with her powerful teeth. The Girafarig-outline wasn’t built for such pressure, however, and begins to flicker into nothing, the way every other drawing in this place does. Fulford loses her footing slightly as the leg in her mouth vanishes into thin air. She stumbles backwards, out of the reflect bubble, while trying to scrape the mud out of her eyes so she can see what happened.

Meanwhile, Dysalia rears up on her hind legs, and then slams her front hooves into the ground. The familiar shock waves ripple through the arena, passing under Fulford and tossing him around, causing him to repeatedly bang into the ground. As the attack ends, Fulford stumbles to her feet, having shaken enough mud out of her eyes to at least recognize her target. She again charges forwards, and is slowed as she passes through the golden reflective bubble, and this time clamps down with dark energy around her teeth on the real Girafarig’s front leg. Dysalia screams as the puppy successfully nibbles on her, and the flags come down for an end to the round.

Alright Fulford, here's what we'll be doing.

If possible, move to her neck and bite down as hard you can. That's basically Crunch for all three actions. You can feel around a bit, so that accuracy drop won't matter too much.

But, its that not possible, first use Odor Sleuth to get rid of that Accuracy drop. Then, go for an Agility, to outspeed her, and Crunch to finish this round off.

Round 15

The trainers finish their orders and the command to resume is issued. Before anyone can act beyond that, the boat in the middle of the field begins to flicker and fade, to be replaced with another familiar image – a black outline of a brick staircase. This goes unnoticed by the battlers, however. Dysalia is too busy trying to shake off the puppy that has her fangs clamped around her leg.

Dysalia looks distractedly towards her trainer for a brief moment, wishing she had some sort of plan to get these painful teeth out of her. Instead, she was ordered to do something called ‘Safeguard’, which Dysalia can’t remember for the life of her how to perform. She turns her attention to the annoyance at her legs, shaking them in a futile attempt to ward off the Growlithe. Fulford, meanwhile, does indeed release Dysalia’s leg, though not due to the shaking but rather to aim higher. She rears up on her hind legs and sinks her fangs into Dysalia’s neck, causing the Girafarig to wail horribly at the pain.

Upon remembering her next order, Dysalia thinks that perhaps she wasn’t left alone after all. She tries not to move her neck as she dances around oddly. Though a bit more challenging than usual, the dance succeeds, indicated by the forming of a dark cloud high above the field and the resulting downpour. Fulford whimpers as the heavy rain pounds his face and he closes his eyes, though he refuses to relinquish his grip on Dysalia’s neck, though he feels he can’t hang on like this for too much longer.

Dysalia stops her dance and attempts to carry out her next command. She tries to turn her body so the head on her tail has a clear shot at Fulford, but being in the position the Growlithe is in, she moves with Dysalia. The head-tail spits the mud it gathered anyway, though it lands nowhere near Fulford. Meanwhile, the Growlithe is beginning to tire due to her already lack of balance becoming worse with the slippery water. She hangs on as long as she can before she is forced to open her mouth and fall to the ground. As she stands back up, she realizes that the rainwater pounding against her face seems to have cleaned her fur of the sticky mud that had managed to blind her earlier. Meanwhile, the ref shouts over the downpour that the round has ended.

Round 15 Notes
-I checked Veekun and Serebii, and I don’t think Girafarig can learn Safeguard. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
-Dysalia’s Reflect faded after action 2.
-Due to the nature of how Dysalia is forced to perform Mud-Slap on an arena without mud, she was unable to aim the attack and it failed.
-The rain falling in Fulford’s face washed the mud from his eyes from the earlier Mud-Slap, and his vision (and accuracy) were restored. However, due to the rain and simply not being meant to stand on his hind legs for extended lengths of time, he was forced to let go after action 3. For the record, aiming for the neck is a brutal strategy. o.o
-Togetic is up.

Yeah, but a lot of predatory beasts hunt by going for the neck of throat, so...yeah...

Alright, let's keep this Offense up. Just use Crunch three times. If she tries to Status you, go for Safeguard before it hits, since you aren't that slow. If she protects or whatever, just Chill.

Round 16

Dysalia springs into action as soon as the round begins, eager to inflict pain on her opponent. She lunges upwards onto her hind legs again, and rams her front hooves into the ground, causing more rippling waves to pass across the ground. Fulford is again thrown around by the shaking, more than earlier this time due to her closeness to the source. Fulford forces herself up once the attack ends with murder in her eyes. She jumps towards Dysalia, again aiming for her neck. The Girafarig is ready this time, though, and she turns away. Fulford manages to bite down on Dysalia’s tail anyway, the same dark energy in her fangs digging into Dysalia’s skin.

The Girafarig shakes around uncomfortably, trying to force the Growlithe off of her with little success. She thinks back to her commands and wonders how she could possibly sleep comfortably in this situation, what with the rain and an angry puppy sinking her teeth into her body, but figures it’s worth a try. Now trying to ignore her pain, she kneels down, curls up on the ground and closes her eyes to sleep. She finds that she isn’t the least bit tired, however; at least, not tired in that sense. She irritably forces herself to her feet again, and glances backwards at the puppy, who during all this still shows no sign of wishing to let her tail go.

Dysalia sighs and closes her eyes again. Even if she can’t sleep, at least she can calm herself a bit. She simply stands there as she empties her mind and allows her energy to recover. Her relaxation is hampered a bit by the jaws clamped around her tail, but she still manages to block most of the pain out, at least temporarily. Meanwhile, Fulford continues to hold Dysalia’s tail in her mouth, allowing more and more dark energy to pierce it. Eventually, Dysalia decides that she won’t be able to restore any more energy for the time being and stands up again, prompting the ref to wave the flag for the end of the round.
