Typhoon Beach
Typhoon Beach was once a popular beach often visited by tourists and locals alike. Now, the beach is a deserted one, its once famed white sand draped with broken bottles and other debris. More often than not, the skies over this area are a bleak gray. Heavy torrents of rain relentlessly pound the beach along with unforgiving gales.
Other: Only pokemon which are not fully-evolved may be used. Each action, a pokemon on the sand has a 10% chance of getting hurt by debris. (5% damage) Also, pokemon flying or hovering will get a speed decrease of 2 due to the wind.

Goldpaw hisses unpleasantly, gagging, almost choking on something. It looks as if the cat's got a hairball stuck in his throat - gross. In fact it turns out to be even grosser. Goldpaw gets on his hindpaws and spits out the supposed furball onto Persephone, and when it hits the chansey, its true contents are revealed: poison. Persephone shivers and wipes it off quickly, luckily aided by the pouring rain; not all of it managed to seep into her thick skin before it washes off. It's of little comfort to the aching chansey, though, especially since for the moment it hurts more than if it had all gotten into her bloodstream. She gags a bit, nauseous and hurting; uhg.
Luckily, this was not distraction enough to stop Persephone's attack. Her tiny fist glows bright and she rockets faster than one would expect towards the purrloin - fist smacking hard into Goldpaw's face completely unhindered, Persephone flying back from the impact through the air and Goldpaw shrieking in pain, clawing at the air. His face is completely bruised; he's still whimpering in pain, and probably a bit of fright. Who would have expected that from a chansey...?
Goldpaw rubs his face distastefully. Well, this just won't do. Time to extract some revenge, he thinks. He pounces off the ground, leaping into the air towards Persephone; his claws stretch out, leaking black energy as they slink into Persephone's sensitive skin, Goldpaw grabbing on and clawing hard. Persephone yelps, then screams louder as the purrloin kicks off with all four claws, leaving thick claw marks, and the black liquid is quite visibly oozing along with the blood; the black seems to repel the rainwater, like oil. Persephone pads at the wounds, trying to stop the bleeding, but they're quite deep and hurt when she touches them. She shivers in pain; ow...
She looks around for something to use to create a substitute, quite intent on stopping any more of those slash wounds. The only thing around is sand, muddy sand now, so she figures that'll have to do. She floats down and builds herself a chansey out of mud; a very, very sloppy one, considering the rain keeps ruining her art, but. It'll have to do. When she's satisfied, she waves a paw over the mud statue, and a piece of her life flows from her to the mud. It rises up from the beach, floating into the air beside her and, though it keeps dripping mud drops on the beach below, it's certainly solid enough to take a few hits. Good enough for Persephone, for now, at least.
And it'll have to be, because Goldpaw isn't waiting. He runs towards the chansey, black energy sifting across his paws again, and jumps into the air - but the muddy substitute floats in between him and his targeting, taking the hit. Goldpaw mrowls and digs his claws in, pulling out a chunk of mud as he jumps back to the ground and twirls to face Persephone again; he managed to hurt the substitute, but it didn't seem as strong as his last attack, that's for sure. The sub is mostly intact, and Persephone is a little shocked that it didn't seem as hurt as she did from the same attack...
No worries. She's about to heal those wounds up, plus the health she lost on the sub. She sticks a hand down and grabs her egg, always there for her, pulling it up and stuffing it into her mouth. Mmmm. She can feel her slash wounds closing; they zip right up, the blood leaking from them flowing right back into her. The health she lost on creating her substitute is magically replenished; she feels oh-so-fine. There's just one downside. She has to create another egg, lest she be caught unawares later, and that takes quite a bit of concentration and energy. She closes her eyes and focuses, and eventually one forms in her sack; when it does, though, she's panting in exhaustion, utterly wiped. Man, this battle is really taking it out of her.
There's a silver lining though. Goldpaw, circling around impatiently, is too focused on Persephone to notice the debris being tossed around by the roaring winds; and he doens't notice one flying right at him. A smallish rock flings right into his backside, smacking him hard, and he yelps and jumps around, smacking the rock away furiously. It didn't hurt that bad but it was quite insulting, honestly, to be hit by a rock. Uhg. Give a cat his dignity.
