Take me to Wonderland

The world was quiet. forest life slowly decaying. The oceans filled with pollution and death of the weaker water-life. Deserts grew more barren and unbearable. Grasslands now filled with death and dehydration. The world was sick and the ones that could make is well again have fallen ill themselves. The clock is ticking for this world, and it is not looking too good for it.

This living womb, this mother of all life, is on her last leg. If things do not change now, our fate is sealed to die with our planet mother.

"...Man. You are so depressing Mewtwo. Cheer up a bit! We do have the help of the students. Once they get here, everything will start getting better~"

"...Mew. I wish you wouldn't interrupt my train of thought...and will you stop reading my mind. I was making a very serious moment here."

Mew giggled and flew around in the air a bit, circling his brother and draping onto his shoulders.

"You need to loosen up, brother mine. If you don't, you'll tire yourself out and we'll have to pull more weight on out end."

"He has a point, Mewtwo. Me and my sisters all know the dangers of this, but we also know that we must stay calm so we can aid them on the way to this world's recovery."

"Aye...that I do know, Uxie. But all we can do now is wait for these humans we have entrusted."

"One is here already...but that is because she followed you here...one of your precious students..."

Mewtwo glanced over at Azelf, nodding as his gaze rested on the lone cloaked figure sitting on the large boulder in the clearing. He watched his student sit in complete silence, the hood of their cloak shadowing their face. He smiled despite himself and turned back to the lone path that lead to the clearing.

"...We are now waiting for the humans...at the world's centre. May they arrive soon."

Rustle, rustle.

What was she doing...? Maybe this was the wrong place?

Crunch, crunch.

The leaves crunched beneath her shoes as she walked onwards, ever nervous. There was nothing but the sound of her movements where she currently was, and a few Pokemon solemnly chirping and howling. She shivered. Why did she ever agree to this...?

Crinkle, crinkle

...What was that? She thought she heard something up ahead... something other than her shoes. Voices...? Hmm... she could make out one familiar voice in the distance. Could it be...?

Silence

The girl had stopped walking, her dark eyes spotting a congregation through the brush. Most of them weren't human, but Pokemon the likes of which she had never seen. She was awed by them and wondered what sort of Pokemon they were. But then her eyes fell upon the one Pokemon she knew.

A smile spread across her face. Pink-headed and silver bodied, she gazed at the creature's three tails, and immediately felt much less afraid.

The curly haired girl approached them slowly, her feet continuing to crinkle against the ground. Her dark eyes apprehensively avoided all of the strange creatures, staring resolutely at her instructor ahead. She walked towards Mesprit and bowed her head respectfully.

"Hello Teacher," said Arylett.

Leaves crunched.
So today he would be meeting the others who had been chosen, apparently some of the teachers were special, they had better be this forest walk was starting to get monotonous.
He felt as though someone was watching him, he clutched the gligar pelt anticipating something, he let go when he noticed the trees starting to thin, he remembered azelf saying most of the teachers were psychic and realised they must be what was setting him on edge.
He walked forward into the clearing, he let a small wmile out seeing his teacher, he then saw the other teachers and two of the others who had been chosen.
He walked over to near azelf, completely unphased by the rare and powerful pokemon in the clearing, ignoring them he said
"So I see I'm the third person here, when will the others arrive, they do know where this is I assume."
I hope they aren't lost he thought with a sneaky smile before realising that one of the pokémon could be reading his mind and decided to stop thinking.

A Dragonair soared just above the treetops, occasionally dipping down and skimming the tops with her white belly.

Where are they, anyway?

She dipped down even further, below the trees now, slowing down her flight so that she wouldn't run into the trunks that she was so carefully weaving through.

She spotted light up ahead, like there was a clearing up ahead.

The clearing?

Curious, she swerved towards it, finding a small group of Pokemon and people gathered there. Three humans were already there, along with six Pokemon, one of which she recognized, and headed towards.

As she landed, her body quickly began to change, until where the Dragonair had been, there was only a young girl.

Her mouth twisted into a small smile as she sat down next to it, muttering, "Master."

Branches swayed and groaned as a blue blur sped across them.

"I probably passed them by a mile..." was all he muttered as he leaped from a branch to another branch seemingly at random.

"This is hopeless..." he said as he breathed a long, drawn-out sigh. The boy stopped and took a few moments to breathe, now pondering on where to go next. Just then, he heard a voice coming from his right, and apparently there was a clearing in that general direction. "How did I not notice that before?"

And with that last thought, he once again leaped through the tree branches and broke through the clearing, and transformed as he jumped down, and landed on his knee in a sort of kneeling position in front of his Master, Cresslia.

"I have arrived, Master."

THUMP

Damn, it was the fifth tree he had bumped into. Flint was wandering around this godforsaken forest like an idiot. He wandered blindly. Most of the time walking around blindly works but this forest was too damn stupid to let him find the middle of it easily. Sniffing the air, Flint could smell... Mooncakes? Maybe it was just his imagination, but mooncakes are always a good sign.

Running towards the smell, he bumped into so many trees, he probably lost a few brain cells. Not that it mattered since he had so little of them. Soon, he found a clearing.

MOONCAKES... He had found the delights of his life. But there weren't any mooncakes. Just a bunch of people and some Pokemon. Including Cresselia. Cresselia hadn't brought him mooncakes? There was just a smell. Angry and pissed, he gave a curt nod to Cresselia and kicked a boy kneeling down, making him flip over.

Stupid mooncakes...

The sound of running footfalls was loud on the dry leaves and dirt paths of the forest, and a small, slender figure darted through the trees at full speed. A slender boy in a tee-shirt and jean shorts skidded into the clearing, clutching his hat in one hand, and a soft pelt in the other. He nearly tumbled over, but managed to stay upright.

"Am I late? I hope not! I ran all the way here. I'm fuckin' exhausted! It's a long way here, yannow." He said, all rather fast.

The boy looked around the clearing a bit, and when he spotted Mew, he bolted over to his side and sat there, grinning.

The young male wandered throughout the forest, looking in between the trees that spread out in front of him. He clasped the Beautifly pelt to his chest, almost like he was hiding it. He remembered the talk he'd had with his sister the day before.

--------------

"I can't believe you actually agreed to this, you retard! That pastor revealing herself to be a Pokemon? Much less a legendary one?! Jude, how can you trust it?" The smaller redhaired girl cried, plumb bottom lip sticking out.

"You're just jealous because Miss Mesprite realized you weren't the right one to teach. Get over it, Prude," Jude answered, calling Prudence by his special little nickname for her.

"Ugh, I hate you so much! Call me Rhue!" she screamed, before marching away to her room. "Don't come crying back to me if you get molested or have an arm decapitated, Jew!"

Judah frowned at the name that his sister frequently used for him. How was it an insult again? Ah, no matter.

--------------

What happened after he left home this morning, he wondered. How would Rhue explain to his parents why he was gone? She was the only one who knew about him being taught by legendary of Emotion, Mesprite. The girl had made a promise to keep it to herself, though. Jude could trust his twin with that, at least.

Overhearing the voices, he sprinted forward, arms still crossed over his chest to block the butterfly's skin from sight. Breaking into the clearing, he noticed the other humans and Pokemon gathered. But the first to catch his eye was his mentor, his teacher.

"Miss Mesprite, how are you this wonderful day?" he questioned with a large cheesy smile, nodding politely at the curly-haired young woman beside his mentor. In the corner of his hazel eye he saw the Dragonair-girl walk over to another Pokemon, closely resembling Miss Mesprite. Was it a brother or sister? He couldn't really tell what gender they were by looking at them, or even hearing them talk. But then again, half of the time everyone thought he was a female Beautifly when he took the form of one. Wasn't that masculine?

The teachers all glance at each other as the students start to pour in, sharing a soft chuckle. They greet their students affectionately, asking how their travels have been for them and that they hoped they found the clearing easy enough to find. Uxie then pulled away from the group and floated, clearing her throat to address the mass of humans.

"We seem to have eight students out of the nine that were called. I know that it may seem illogical to wait for the single person in hopes that they will arrive fairly soon, but we need to first let the humans meet one another so we can figure out who is still running late. So, if you would all please...let's get to the names people!"

Uxie then shied away from the focus, returning to her sisters side and tucks herself behind them a little, emitting a small yawn. Mew then chirped happily, giggling as he turned himself upside down in the air.

"Always the logical one, but the biggest sleep of us. Silly little Ixie pie~ Don't you all agree?"

Cresselia sighed a bit, her voice washing over her two students like a dream. She helped her one student up and gave the other a saddened look.

"Please...will you both please behave while you are here. This is serious business at hand my dear children..."

"Still calling them your children, Cressie? You need to loosen up, darling love~ Show a little more emotion with others rather than being the pretend mother to the dreamers"

"Mespirit. That is quite enough. Stop picking on people bigger than you, or you'll end up with one of her mooncakes crammed somewhere unpleasant. Now...like what Uxie had said before, The students should get to know each other a little."

Mewtwo turns his gaze to the cloaked figure on the rock, holding his stare on the figure for a few moments before chuckling softly and turning to the other humans.

"Who would like to introduce themselves first?"

A small rustling could be heard from a tree overhead, at least by a passing sharp-eared Starly or something. Fer adjusted himself in his tree, grinning slightly. Uxie hadn't noticed him? He had been broadcasting his thought rather loudly, or at least he thought so... Strange, he'd have to ask about that later.

The sandy-haired youth swung down from his treebranch, dropping down into the midst of the group. Thinking that he should probably try and break the ice, the boy adjusted the silvery metal pelt on his back and inhaled deeply.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Feratu, please call me Fer, and I'm Uxie's student," Fer said aloud, all in one breath. He smiled at everyone and waited for a response.

An addition to his monologue popped into Fer's mind, and he scratched his scraggly beard for a moment before finishing:

"Oh, and I can turn into a Skarmory."

((Sorry I'm late, my router's been messed up by a storm. And Uxie is a guy.))

"Sorry. I just wanted a mooncake, Cresselia!"

Flint was happy to see his teacher. But the other kid looked pretty scrawny. Wonder if he likes mooncakes. There were a lot of people and Pokemon gathered in this tight, small space.

"Hmm... OH! HI! I'm Flint. I like mooncakes and Cresselia's my teacher and I like mooncakes! They're all soft and squishy and delectable! Except for the yolky part. It's gross. Oh! I have a scarf too! See! If it works its magic, I can turn into a Manectric! 'Cept Manectric doesn't like me eating mooncakes..."

Then Flint passed out.

"N..ne..need...water..."

She nodded back somewhat awkwardly at the boy with the Beautifly pelt and then stared at the rest of the procession. Huh... well, at least she wasn't the only one with an embarrassing Pokemon.

A boy had stood up and said he could turn into a Scarmory... aww, something cooler. Arylett felt her body tense up and her pulse quicken. The prospect of having to stand up there and introduce herself and her Pokemon was one that... was not so appealing. She really hoped that she wouldn't have to take out her pelt for a long time, patting her large bag guiltily.

And then there was the strange boy who blabbed on about mooncakes. She raised an eyebrow as he passed out quite randomly after his tangent. Manectric... man... that was a cool one too.

He stood up looking at the group thinking what an odd and mismatched group they all were, then again he realised they probably thought he was quite odd as well.

He decided that as some of the others had started talking it must be his turn to talk. He said "My name is Joe, I'm azelfs student and I can turn into a Gligar with red lined claws and tail."

He then added "I think someone should wake that guy who just passed out up before someone trips over him."

Wondering what pelts the others owned, he sat down on a rock.

...

A few seconds later, Flint staggered to his feet. "Oh...I musta concussed myself after running into so many trees..."

Everyone just sorta stared at him. What was their problem? A guy can't run into trees? These are some really weird people. That girl... She was looking at him. And she had a bag! People with bags usually have food! And he could smell his sweet tasting mooncakes right now. Maybe she wanted to share?

Ura stared oddly at the strange, hyper Manectric boy, making a mental note that he was weird and to stay away from him in the future.

When no one new spoke up, she decided to go herself.

"My name is Ura. Uxie is my teacher, and was my teacher in normal school for a little while. I transform into a Dragonair."

...Dragonair?! Dammit. She and the Beautifly boy were the only ones with lame ones. But oh no, she wasn't about to introduce herself.

But then that bizarre boy with the high energy levels was staring at her bag, and she attempted to shove it out of view of anyone, fearing he might know her pelt was in there. This motion, however, was so forceful and quick that it caused some of the large plaid bag's contents to spill out, including the dreaded Flaaffy pelt itself.

The curly haired girl darted down to pick it up as quickly as possible, before anyone saw, but it was too late. All had been seen.

Ven glared daggers with the boy that pushed him over. "What was with that boy? Doesn't he know respect at all?" He quickly thanked his master just in time to see him faint, to which, he smirked. "Thank you karma..."

He scanned the crowd and listened to everyone's introduction and finally thought to put in his own. And with that, he stood up, sighing at the fast that other boy, Flint, getting up.

"My name, is Ven. My master is Cresslia-" waving a hand to his master. "-and I transform into a Lucario." He glanced at Flint, then stared back at the crowd. "And don't get in my way." Was all he said as he sat down on a nearby rock.

A flash of cottony pink spilled onto the forest floor, and Fer smiled a bit, clasping his hands together and still listening to the other introductions. A boy had fainted, after apparently kicking another to the ground. Did the legendaries normally attract such weirdos? Was Fer himself a weirdo?

Oh well, worrying hardly solved anything. If he was a weirdo, than at least he was in the right place. He strode energetically towards a girl with rather nice-looking curly brown hair and crouched down to her eye level.

"Hi, I'm Fer, but I guess you knew that," he started, gesturing behind him as if that was where the past few minutes were located, as opposed to a group of Legendaries and humans. He made to help her pick up some of the dropped objects. "So, you can turn into a Flaaffy?" There was no trace of sarcasm or meanness in Fer's voice, just a thick covering of curiosity.

Upon hearing a voice directly addressing her, she jumped a bit and fumbled to stuff the pink fleecey pelt back into her bag for several agonizing moments. When she decided that it was a lost cause and refused to fit into back into the bag, she sighed defeatedly and merely stood there with half a pelt hanging out of her bag quite sheepishly.

She chuckled nervously and seemed to turn red in the face, looking down as she replied to the one who had spoken to her.

"Yes... yes I can..." Her voice was rather defensive for some odd reason, even though he merely sounded curious.

"Ooh, cool! Flaaffy is a really cool Pokémon, I have a flaffywool blanket back at home," The young man paused for breath, smiling widely in a way that crinkled his yellow-brown eyes. "Well, since I saw your pelt, it's only fair that you see mine!"

A loud clinking, reminiscent of coins being dropped in large quantities, issued from Fer's side as he pulled his pelt from an oversized satchel at his side. The back of the pelt was mostly just the large wings, spread out and hanging loosely.

"Cool, eh?"
