• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Blaguarro Town Abandoned District

Ch02: Suspicious Lurkers
  • Bellatrix led the charge for those who wanted to investigate the west side of town, though part of her wanted to go to the watch tower, she felt that her illusionary abilities would hold significantly more value here. If the strange pokémon and the witching beasts were linked, then that would mean that there had to be something here of note and Bellatrix was more than happy to investigate.

Walking through the streets of derelict buildings, there didn't seem to be much of note at first glance however that was only cursory. If the team were to just keep their eyes and ears sharp...

[Ch04] ~ Finale Walkup ~ Passing On the Lantern
  • Don't be daunted by the size of the task ahead of you. Don't wait in fear for the appointed day to come. Don't let your demons breed.

It was hard not to let the jitters take hold as morning came for the mission to storm Blaguarro. Cipher had been at work for years, and the party had been on this world for months, and preparing for only a month of that time. Surely Cipher had been using that time to prepare, too. Quietly, efficiently, and without scruple.

The Wayfarers arrived by train from Frontier Town, as arranged by Lucien. They were to rendezvous with their allies in Blaguarro – without good long-distance communication it had been impossible to coordinate properly on a single, unified plan, but several volunteers had agreed to attach themselves to each of the Wayfarer missions within the Cipher Base, and the Ranger and Escarpa factions had coordinated between each other – with the help of Ranger Cascada Escarpa – to divide the job of holding the town above ground between them.

Sonora and Seth travelled with the party. Each of them masked their fears with their own brands of bluster and banter – Sonora's being cheeky and flirtatious, Seth's being boastful and insulting. It seemed like they'd get along with each other.

Zeraora Luz, the Wandering Light, had told the Wayfarers who met her that she had business with the Escarpa first, but that she'd 'be there'.

As the train pulled into the station and the offworlders moved towards the abandoned district, few civilians were out on the streets. Instead, the town was patrolled by badge-wearing Rangers and Escarpa warriors with chalk markings streaking their fur. The Wayfarers were allowed through without fuss.

    It was nearly time.
