• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

...Is that supposed to be a moon in the background? Honestly, why bother when you have Google and can make something presentable for a change?

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

Lay off the flaming. You should be giving DECENT comments. I'll make REAL backgrounds if I get 1 more request.

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

It's not flaming. We are saying that the adoptables are bad, not that you suck at spriting.

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

The Rules: Flamming said:
Rule #4: Don't flame.
Do not make hurtful comments about other members' opinions, beliefs, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, skin color, etc. This includes general hurtful or degrading comments about groups of people which other members may or may not belong to. Of course you are allowed to disagree with a person's opinions, but please do so in a respectful manner. State your disagreement by all means, but if you think the other person is the dumbest person you've ever met for thinking so and deserves to rot in Hell, just keep it to yourself. Any blatant insult will give you a nasty 30-point infraction (disabling your Debating Hall access and getting you banned if you flame again before the warning expires) which won't go away for three months.

You can also get warned for flaming if you excessively bash a Pokémon, character, movie, TV show, book, band, etc. at a level where fans of said Pokémon/character/movie/TV show/book/band/etc. can feel insulted about it too. So please no "I hate (insert Pokémon here), it's completely useless, only n00bs use it."

I might note that talking hurtfully about named people who are not at the forums is not allowed either, nor is any sort of "indirectly" giving out the person's identity such as by linking to another page with the name or allowing people who know the person's identity to give out hints in the thread. If a non-member who could technically access the forums is heavily berated in a thread, it should be completely anonymous. Do not insult members of other forums, etc. in general, either.
Critique =/= Flamming

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

Well gee, mr. make-me-a-GOOD-red-Eevee. Tell me what YOU consider flaming. Especially considering I was making a suggestion that you scrap the crappy 5-second MSPaint backgrounds in favor of better images (albeit in a rather pissed-off way, I will concede).

(...I guess people should stop being so harsh on him, since he's only 10 an' all. I was pretty much like that when I started my internet crusades, so there I go being hypocritical like that... but um. You're going to have trouble fitting in in a forum with ages of ~13-16. Just saying.)

I agree with you on the most part, but not on the age comment. Sorry if I'm not being very helpful.

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

When I was 10 I could certainly do better than this.

ANYWAY, get out of terryland. read some tutorials. use common sense. try and /improve/.

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

Might I have a Hack Egg to go with my egg that isn't cracking anymore than it was at first? Again, named after hatched!

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

When I was ten I could do better. It's stupid to judge people by their age unless it is real different like a 12 year old to a 5 year old. Terry, I hope you improve and that your next one is actually GOOD. That will make everyone happy but still won't cover your rudeness and inability to take crit. Please try because I do not think that is your best. Thanks if you do, if you call this flaming then well...I'll just take a hack egg to see the outcome...

Mewtwo and EeveeSkitty: Done and Sent!

Terry. T.: Me? Talking to myself? I'll make myself an adoptable. I'm WAY bored.

It's actually quite cool and it is an improvement from when you started. But a tip is to have the writing in the centre because the uknown name and owned by is off centre, EeveeSkitty is a bit but...eh...

Re: Adopt-A-Pokémon!

i do think yours are kind of unoriginal, especially when compared to mine or Zephy's. if your trying to make adoptables, atleast recolour them or something.
