With a mischievous buzz, Sling observes his comatose opponent, darting erratically in the air as he prepares his next attack. Plummeting sharply, he appears before Ganemede in the batting of an eyelid and begins to chew furiously with his mandibles. A sticky purple substance with the consistency of molasses begins to ooze from his mouthparts, drooling across his face and onto the ground. Another blink and he's darted before Ganemede, bearing down on the innocent fishy with his insectoid jaws held open viciously. They tear into the helpless Feebas relentlessly, injecting the vile venom into his body and spilling copious amounts into the erstwhile unspoilt waters. Sling flies off, but hears as he goes a strange muttering coming from the pool. He turns, curious, to see Ganemede thrashing and whispering suavely... ooo, your wings look lovely today. Can I borrow a few dozen maps, I just got lost in your millions of teeny little eyes... Sling buzzes away quickly, not sure he's comfortable with Ganemede harbouring these feelings for him. I mean, looks aren't everything, he'd go for a Feebas if she were a nice enough Pokémon, but he much prefers girls.

Sling turns back towards Ganemede uncomfortably, trying to put the newfound connotations of the Feebas'... interests... out of his head. Is it okay to attack one of... them too hard? Surely that'd be discrimination. But then it'd be just as wrong to be all condescending and go easy on him, right? Sling tries to calm down and reassure himself he's worrying about nothing. Ganemede's asleep. He's probably just having one of those crazy dreams, like where you're flying along and suddenly your whole swarm is there laughing at you, and you look down and see you're totally naked, then realise that's fine because you're a Pokémon. In any case, Sling doesn't care even if Ganemede is... y'know. So he carries on as though nothing happened. Closing his multifaceted eyes, he concentrates, willing the life energy inside his opponent's body to come to his aid. It leaves the fish's body in clumps of verdant light which swoop over to Sling, scanning his body for wounds to fix. Finding none, they simply diffuse through the spiracles in his exoskeleton, to little effect. Ganemede flails uncomfortably, moaning softly under his breath, until the pain dies down, at which point he exhales heavily and returns to peaceful slumber. As his breath exudes from his gills, the wind picks up suddenly, taking on a bitter frigidity and heading straight for Sling. Chunks of frost collide with every inch of his body, landing on his wings and somehow freezing hard on the flapping appendages. This annoying new development forces Sling to work extra hard to stay aloft, and even then his wings are much too heavy to flap as fast as before.

Sling puts his perceived prejudices aside, buzzing furiously at his opponent. Even in sleep, Ganemede is still being a massive thorn in his thorax. Sling leers at the Feebas and readies another Giga Drain, getting ready to suck out some more of that- oh god. Squeezing his eyes shut and trying not to think like that, he hurriedly saps a chunk of Ganemede's life energy, reluctantly taking it into his body and paradoxically feeling worse after doing so. The Feebas shifts uncomfortably again, his convulsions getting faster and faster until the sleeping fish begins to dart erratically around the lake, swishing Sling's poison into the depths somewhat. Sling watches in amazement as Ganemede's swimming grows faster and more directionless, until finally he stops, revealing he's somehow picked up five other Feebas on his journeys. Sling looks with a confused buzz at his multiplied opponent, subconsciously taking care not to get too close. Suddenly, the six fish all twitch violently and continue sleeping, the poison beginning to set itself up in Ganemede's veins.

Six apparitions lay snoozing in the pool, one cavernous snore emitting from the entire group. Sling peers at them, disoriented and confused as to the other fives' origins. At least in their presence he's a little less uneasy around Ganemede. Scanning his six targets carefully with his advanced vision, he spots no discerning features between them; they're all pretty much carbon copies of Ganemede. Shrugging, he picks one at random, closes his eyes and begins trying to summon the life force in his chosen Feebas into his own body. The one in question quivers slightly as the Yanma tries in vain to siphon the health from what soon turns out to be a mere clone, shimmering briefly before vanishing into nothingness. With an enraged buzz, Sling weaves away from the remaining five Feebas, which each mutter sleepily and begin to thrash uncontrollably despite remaining fast asleep; suddenly they all leap up in unison, opening their mouths to reveal five glowing orbs of blue flame. The fireballs dance in their agape mouths before being blasted as one through the air toward Sling, each striking him at different points across his body. Only one beam deals damage, the other five being illusions that slip harmlessly through him, but the one beam deals a substantial blow to him, leaving a nasty chemical burn caused by the mystical dragon energy of the strike. He fans the burny part frantically with his icy wings, trying to cool himself and soothe the nasty injury.

With another furious buzz, Sling readies himself to strike with another Giga Drain, carefully selecting the most realistic Feebas from the line-up. Again he closes his eyes, tapping into the power of nature, using it to summon the natural energy of Ganemede's body and... dammit. Feeling nothing, Sling opens his eyes just in time to see a second Feebas clone burst into wisps of air and vanish. Supposing it's too much to hope that was the real deal exploding like that, the Yanma slinks away to observe Ganemede's imminent sleepwalking antics. Stirring again, the four slumbering Feebas once more take on a perceived sapience, circling in the water a few times before suddenly ducking under the surface with a skoosh... and resurfacing moments later with a donk. Four groggy, but now-awakened Feebas swim to the surface, rubbing their aching heads with a fin and each wondering where on earth the rest came from (and why Sling seems kinda nervous of them)... Evidently the bump on the head from diving in very shallow waters was enough to rouse the Ganemedes, who were near the end of their kip anyway. Each filing away a mental note to watch out for such hazardous somnambulistic activity in the future, they swim round to confront their hovering nemesis.

Sling gives a dark chuckle. Ah, risen and shone have we, sleepyheads? he thinks evilly. Well, naptime's not over yet... say goodnight!. And with that vaguely supervillainous internal monologue, he begins to flap his wings frantically, loosening a cloud of mind-altering, drowsiness-inducing scales and spores from his wings and exoskeleton... hang on. He looks around, puzzled, seeing only frost and water vapour exuding from his flailing wings. Now he comes to think of it, Sling's not sure he can even use such an attack after all... while he's distracted by this thinking, the true Ganemede quickly swims to the shore and scoops up a finful of soil, breathing a largeish portion of his own precious life energy into it and beginning to knead it into a shape, the clones uselessly mimicking him to either side. After a few moments of arts and crafts, Ganemede lays down a living, muddy replica of himself which stoutly takes its place in front of its creator and his copies. Not long afterwards, Team Ganemede simultaneously let out a fishy squeal and thrash in pain as poison attacks the fish's body once more, and the substitute looks around mortified at its master's pain; first minute on the job and it's already letting the side down!

With a buzzy sigh of irritation, Sling peruses his expanding choice of targets, attempting to decide which to attack first. Certainly not their stalwart, ersatz, insert-another-obscure-adjective-here guardian up in front, in any event, since he's just there to step in and protect the real deal if an attack lands. Scanning his opponents for another second or two, he shrugs his stick-like shoulders and turns to the entity on the far left, focusing on it and trying to draw its power... poof. With a brief flash, the creature's form distorts into a blurry mass before being deleted from existence. Dammit! the Yanma thinks, cursing his own poor judgement, as the three remaining Feebas begin to charge their assault, blue orbs of frost condensing in their open mouths. Like an artillery line, they all fire a triad of icy beacons of light at one towards their airborne nemesis, who is stricken at once by all three before he can dart out of the way. Two go straight through his body without leaving a mark, but one of them- Sling can't determine which- savages his exoskeleton with a bitter, gelid blast of frost. Thrashing wildly in the air, he finally breaks free from the beam and buzzes away to remove the ice and dew from his wings and body.

Beginning to get really ticked off, Sling picks another random target furiously and begins to attempt again to drain its energy. As his strange natural powers reach out to grab the central Feebas, the substitute flings itself into the air, blocking its way... a ha. The clones dematerialise as Sling feasts on the life energy of the substitute, chunks of it breaking off and reverting to their natural form, pure glowing green blobs of life energy, which swirl through the air and enter Sling's body. Enraged by the destruction of his delusion, Ganemede takes another deep breath of air, chilling it to a frigid temperature and forming the swirling mass of chilliness into another ice-cold beam. Taking aim, he fires, and Sling is hit by an intense discharge of ice that nearly knocks him out of the air. Struggling for a time, he finally breaks free of the massive volley of energy, and Ganemede closes his mouth, cutting off the flow. Sling darts away dizzily, momentarily stunned by the onslaught, which hit quite a few of the chinks in his chitin armour. They're gonna hurt like hell once the numbness wears off.

Regaining his bearings, the dragonfly once again repeats the same tired old strategy, using his innate natural powers to leech Ganemede's life energy. Again, the substitute intervenes at the last moment, throwing itself up into the air to block the attack, never to come back down. The pseudofeebas has taken rather a knock from just the one attack, its surface pockmarked with cracks, most of it having been siphoned off, leaving large craters that once housed the life force now flowing through Sling's veins. The instant the substitute is grabbed by Sling's assault it bursts into a shower of green orbs, which Sling collects greedily, finishing off Ganemede's carbon-copy sentinel once and for all. As if to avenge his partner, the Feebas charges a third Ice beam and strikes his opponent savagely with yet another glacial blast. As the Yanma recoils again in pain, surely about to suffer some effects of frostbite, the poison in Ganemede's veins wells up again, more potent than ever this time, and the fish flails in pain, trying not to throw up in the already-tainted seawater.

Sling gulps nervously in response to is commands. Put Ganemede to sleep again? But what if he... y’know- the Yanma shakes his head furiously, snapping himself out of his judgemental stupor, and faces his opponent. Flitting downwards to almost skim the water’s surface, Sling fixes his masses of eyes on Ganemede’s, and maintaining eye contact, begins to exude an ominous red glow from his multi-faceted eyes. The Feebas stares back into them, for a moment transfixed by the eerie light, before suddenly snapping out of it and realising what the Yanma is up to. Evading his gaze, Ganemede decides to teach him a lesson, zipping through the water at incredible speed and coming to a rest pursued once more by a gaggle of exact copies. Sling gives a frustrated buzz; this match really isn’t making things easy for him.
Ah well, he thinks deviously, tapping into his natural powers once again; he much prefers pure life energy to eating dreams. Absorbing health has become something of a routine for Sling in this match, and all that practice is about to pay off drastically. Carefully selecting a vision of Ganemede, Sling begins to summon its life force with mysterious natural powers, and the chosen Feebas writhes in pain as its four counterparts vanish instantly. Sling buzzes victoriously as the stream of green orbs wash over to him and dissipate into his body; that’ll show the stupid fish who’s boss! His cockiness is short-lived, however, as an icy beam blasts into his abdomen, almost knocking him out of the sky. Snickering, Ganemede darts back under the surface of the water, as the increasingly cold Sling darts madly in the air trying to warm up.

Right, the Yanma thinks, that fish is going to get it now... running underwater won’t save him from a Giga Drain. Sling focuses again, and a faint yelp and a stream of bubbles rise from the depths of the lake, along with a sizable number of orbs of life energy. A distraught Ganemede is the last to surface, feeling considerably worse for wear and fed up of dealing with Sling. Luckily, rounds and rounds of practice with Ice Beam have paid off for him, too... taking careful aim, he breathes in air, cooling it rapidly until his insides become slightly numb. Closing his gills, he faces Sling and quickly fires a tremendous ray of ice before he can fly away. The beam hits its target with a tremendous crash of ice; the point of impact clouds over with dew and particles of frost, which begin to rapidly condense on Sling’s body. A sheath of ice begins to wrap around his abdomen, until a good portion of his body is frozen solid in an icy mass. With a buzz of alarm, Sling drops to about half his previous height; his wings begin to flap frantically, just barely keeping him aloft, and reducing his flight speed to a sluggish, laborious crawl. Ganemede gives an evil snicker before darting under the water again, briefly flopping upwards in a spasm as poisoning bites down on his immune system.

Ganemede sighs as he floats himself above the surface. Ice Beams? Again? These commands are boring! He cheers up as he spots his opponent struggling to hover before him, encased in an enormous chunk of ice, and cracks a small smile again. Sling, meanwhile, flap his wings desperately and even more blindingly fast than usual in desperation to keep himself and his unwanted cargo in the air. His straining is worsened by the tremendous bolt of frost that bursts through the air and envelops him, almost knocking him out of the sky. Just before he hits the ground he manages to set his wings moving again, gradually climbing back up into the air. Ganemede laughs cruelly at the flailing insect, though his mirth is soon cut off by yet another Giga Drain from his opponent. His life force seeps out through his skin and sails into the refrigerated dragonfly, searching for a spot that is not yet iced over and dissolving into sling's system.

Slightly refreshed, but still belaboured by a heavy slab of ice wrapped around his body, Sling continues the battle to stay airborne, and his opponent begins to flag considerably. Both physically exhausted and mortally injured, his chances of remaining in the game is beginning to look bleak. This, however, doesn't dishearten him from following his trainer's orders; expending a substantial chunk of his remaining energy, he converts it into another repetitive blast of ice and launches it through the water. However, instead of simply shooting out it erupts from his lips like a cannon, forming an unstoppable blast of ice energy that slams into Sling, producing a positive explosion of frost which drowns out even Sling's ear-splitting shriek of pain. The cloud of condensation eventually subsides to reveal Sling lying on the ground, panting miserably, looking even worse off than Ganemede. It takes a while for him to summon the might to get up again, but eventually, with copious urging from Blaziking, he manages to struggle into the air again. Fearing he'll collapse again if he doesn't recover soon, he focuses, and summons more of Ganemede's life force, siphoning it out through the air and into his own body. The spheres bond to his critical injuries, slightly closing the huge gashes in his chitin armour, but he still feels on his last legs, barely able to stay conscious, let alone airborne.

The one thing keeping Sling's spirits up in his terrible condition is the knowledge that Ganemede is even worse off now; the fish is just a poke away from being flushed down the toilet, and is just floating innocuously on the surface and wheezing. However, the Feebas is equally determined to fight until the bitter end. Consuming his energy right to the very last drop, he forms another orb of ice crystals and spits it half-heartedly at his foe. The beam strikes its target dead on, prompting Sling to emit a final screech of agony before going limp in the air. Its jacket of ice melts in an instant as the bug plummets and smashes gracelessly into the ground, twitching his legs before going completely still. Ganemede ignores his victory; he's far too tired to even notice that the Yanma has fallen, and besides, he has his own problems as a horrid sickness washes over his body. A brief struggle, and the fish sighs and floats motionlessly on the water, having finally succumbed to its poisoning. Blaziking gives a defeated tut, while Full Metal Cookies debates whether to celebrate her bittersweet victory. The ref merely looks on in bewilderment at the unconscious Pokémon; this round went pretty extraordinarily, he thinks. Seems the match could still be anyone's at this point.

Taking a moment to appreciate how close the battle has become, the trainers grab their final Pokéballs and hurl them into the arena. Blaziking's bursts a glob of red light into the water, which forms into a Remoraid, while the flash from Full Metal Cookies's hits the shoreline and solidifies into a Pichu. Swimmy the Remoraid darts around for a moment in the still-murky, but now completely harmless, waters with a look of disgust across her face, looking out jealously at the Pichu out on the perfectly clean land. Spitefully, she begins charging up electricity (which apparently fish can do now), then leaps up of the water and discharges a spark at Jewel. The Pichu squeals as the jolt hits her body and immediately starts screwing her nervous system, interfering with nerve impulses and making her movements stiff and laborious. Grunting in discomfort, the little mouse grins mischievously at her smug opponent; silly fishy, she thinks, trying to fight an electric type with electricity... better show her how it's done. She claps her hands together, a tiny spark forming between them and beginning to grow with a gradually loudening series of crackling sounds. When the ball of electricity grows too large for her to hold onto, she opens her palms and sends it streaking into the water, zapping Swimmy with a deafening crackle. The fish is thrown several feet into the air with the force of the blast, splashing back down into the water with a loud sizzle, while Jewel actually feels slightly better from the attack, having collected an abundance of power from the charging-up process.

The partially-fried Swimmy, having learned the lesson of fighting fire with fire- or Electric with Electric- decides to cripple her opponent in other ways. Apparently being some species of completely deadly fish bastard, she has a reservoir of deadly poison stored in her somewhere, which she summons up into her mouth and swims toward the surface. Pushing her head above the water, she spits a hunk of purple goo at the shore before submerging again. The lump of toxins flies through the air before missing completely, landing a few feet from Jewel with a splat. The Pichu stares at the glob in horror; she was going to spit that at her?! Enraged, Jewel resolves to teach Swimmy a lesson, but as soon as she begins to counterattack, her muscles lock up, preventing her from doing anything besides flailing and falling over.

Watching Jewel flail and fall over from under the water, Swimmy decides now's a perfect time to try spitting poison again. While Jewel is incapacitated, the Remoraid carefully lines herself up and leaps out of the water again, spitting a liberal glob of venom at her target and diving back under the water. This time the puddle of gunk hits its mark, hitting Jewel and smothering her body with a disgusting splut. Squealing in disgust, Jewel attempts to seize back control of her muscles to wipe away the mess, but all of her limbs are completely numb, powerless to remove the muck as it begins to burn through her skin and work its way into her circulatory system. The flailing mouse whimpers as the venom grips her body, making her incredibly ill, and the sores on her body where the poison entered throb in agony.

Um, let's just go with the flow here (no pun intended). Toxic once, and then just use Surf. Since we have the upperhand at the moment, let's take advantage of it.
