• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Changing thread titles!

Re: Changing thread titles

But don't just click the Edit button - you have to choose "Go advanced" after that.

Re: Changing thread titles

Also, middle/ctrl clicking the edit button will bring you directly to the advanced edit in another tab with only 1 click.

Re: Changing thread titles

BETTER YET
Find the post in the list of threads on the forum and double-click the empty space behind the title, OP, number of pages etc. The title turns into a text box and you can edit it without even opening the thread.

How the hell did you figure that out? :O

...

(goes around double-clicking thread titles)

It's my least favourite, because I keep doing it when I just want to click on a thread. :(

Obviously, the double-clicking thing only works on your own threads if you're not a mod.

Re: Changing thread titles

I... I actually don't know. :v

Presumably by accident, which is how I discovered it. Actually, it's mildly annoying from time to time; sometimes it happens when I misclick while trying to click the link itself.

On that note, I didn't know that regular members could change thread names that way. o.O
