• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Dragon type fun facts

Lucario

Quick Little Munchkins...
Hello! Lucario the dragon type trainer here, with some cool facts about dragon types for the few people who do not know them.

For instance, half of the non-legendary fully evolved Dragon types are Dragon/Flying types. However, none of them are Dragon/Flying types before their final evolution.
As it happens, there is only one non-legendary dragon type that starts as it's final type combination.
Now that I think of it, half of the non-legendary dragon types start without even being dragon types. Say, Trapinch, Swablu, Horsea.
Interestingly enough, there are only six fully evolved non-legendary pokemon.
Even more, there are exactly the same amount of dragon-type legendary pokemon as there are dragon-type non-legendary pokemon.
Rayquaza, Latias, Latios, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina.
Only one dragon type pokemon can know an OHKO, and non of them can learn it.

You have any more? Feel free to tell me.

it's fairly trivial knowledge that people can just look up if they actually wanted to know.

true enough.

As it happens, there is only one non-legendary dragon type that starts as it's final type combination.

gible.

Now that I think of it, half of the non-legendary dragon types start without even being dragon types. Say, Trapinch, Swablu, Horsea.

there are only six lines.

Interestingly enough, there are only six fully evolved non-legendary pokemon.

and there are six legendary dragons.

Even more, there are exactly the same amount of dragon-type legendary pokemon as there are dragon-type non-legendary pokemon.

would it kill you to be a bit more specific?

Rayquaza, Latias, Latios, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina.

note that none of these came before third generation.

Only one dragon type pokemon can know an OHKO, and non of them can learn it.

this doesn't actually make sense, and actually, there are none.

for reference, it's dragonair and dragonite in first gen (could be traded to second) by tm.

I do not use the dragon type because it is so popular, I use it because I like it. I personally actually thought everyone hated it... So go away and shut up.

Lol @ this topic

The dark-type is way too overrated IMO

The psychic-type as well, but there are some pretty cool designs there. (the ralts line is not one of them)

My best friend uses the Psychic type. I personally kinda like the dark type. In my opinion, the reason these are overrated is because they are actually very good when used well.
I take offense at the ralts bit two... But I don't feel like making a speech right now.
