It has a short, quiet squeak-like battle cry.
Classic. Good thing I put those in the 6th slot.
I catch it and am only given the option of nicknaming it. No Pokédex entry.
Ketsuban whilst in my party.
I try to view the summary and am given a white screen. I press some buttons and I am given this page. It used Rhydon's battle cry.
The moves are Haze (at least I'm fairly sure), TM08, TM14 and TM01.
This is less than surprising.
Makes the same squeak-like cry when sent out to battle.
The game locks up for a bit when I try to select TM08, but it gives me this mess once I've pressed a few buttons. TM08 misses a lot and hurts Ketsuban a little whenever it misses. It hit once, looking and sounding exactly like Scratch.
A few seconds of button smashing later and I finally manage to select TM14. It hits on the first use, giving Explosion's sound and animation. Ketsuban doesn't faint from it, though.
Well TM14 obliterated the Rattata so now here's a Pidgey. After some button mashing, I manage to select TM01, which is labelled as a Normal-type move. It misses on all three uses.
Then the battery ran out of power so it had to end there for the moment.

I actually do have proper equipment to do that, yes. So I'll record it a bit later after my SP gets some time to charge up.

It's Mist, not Haze. Haze is, if I remember correctly, Kuroikiri. Shiroikiri (white fog/haze/mist) is Mist, Kuroikiri (black fog/haze/mist) is Haze. Jappo to the rescue.
Anyway, I tried the Missingno. trick on my Japanese Red and Yellow. Neither of them worked. However, other things like the Mew trick worked fine, so I don't know. I got a retarded set of games, I guess.

No, they're supposed to do that. The traditional way to get Missingno. doesn't work on the Japanese games. The only way to get to these glitches are with cheat codes or the Extended Mew Glitch.

What I want to know is if ketsuban means missing number in Japanese. Well, no, that's not it, but this is still cool. :3
Now you've gotten me curious. If I get a ROM or Japanese Red/Blue/Green(?) one day, I'll try that out.
