• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Just a Question

I have a fanfic. *points at signature* I was wondering if there was any way to extract the single post so that people won't have to click and hunt through pages to find each chapter. You know, something like with sprite comics or along those lines. Thanks in advance!

The closest thing to what you're looking for is to click the number at the top of the post (the one on this one is '#2'). That brings up a page containing only that post.

Yeah. Make the first post a contents page, and have links to each chapter post (You get the URL for a single post by clicking the post number at the top-right of it).

For example, to link to my post right here, you'd put... [url=http://www.dragonflycave.com/forums/showpost.php?p=345914&postcount=1]INSERT LINK TEXT HERE[/url]

...or you can use the built-in [post=postid][/post] BBCode that's, you know, supposed to be used for this kind of thing.

The postid is the number that comes after the ?p= in the URL you get if you click on the post number.
