Kam vs. RandomTyphoon

BWAHAHA EPIC WIN.

Alright, these are your commands. Use Dream Eater (energy) until it wakes up. Once it does wake up, use Confuse Ray. If it wakes up and is already confused, Signal Beam.

Dream Eater/Confuse Ray/Signal Beam ~ Dream Eater/Confuse Ray/Signal Beam ~ Dream Eater/Confuse Ray/Signal Beam

If I'm telling it to use Dream Eater until it wakes up, it's fairly obvious that it's asleep.

Also, when the hell did Cacnea learn Dream Eater?

Arena: Mareepolis
The capital of Beaconia, Mareepolis is a small city most well known for its large bronze Mareep statue in the town square. This battle takes place in the streets within an area 10 meters long, where a crude Pokeball has been drawn in the center of the arena.

For the most part, this is a fairly vanilla place. However, each round, there is a 15% chance that one of the following events will occur on a randomly selected action:

50%: The Beaconian anthem will play, thus causing everyone on the arena to stop battling and stand at attention as the Beaconian flag is paraded through.
15%: The Beaconian second-in-command Aviculor will run through the town, with the Pokemon trailing him badly poisoning all combatants.
25%: The Pyromaniac will run through the town, burning all combatants.
10%: A golden statue belonging to the Q.U.I.R. will have been captured and thrown into the arena. It will fall on a random combatant, causing 5% typeless damage. After this occurs, all battlers will gain an extra $6 after the battle is over.
Arena status: Sandstorm is active (13 more actions). There's a deep hole in the center of the ring, with some sand at the bottom.

Foreign happenings and this battle were definetly not in an agreement. For the third time, the trainers were interrupted as they issued commands. This time, a boom made its way to the ears of all who had them. Everybody flinched. Kam stumbled some steps back, and took the chance to see what had happened. Far down the street he gazed upon, the Pyromaniac laughed, standing by the blackened form of what seemed to have been a squad car.

The sirens multipled, and one thing was known: this would be a costly chase for the police.

Desperate to nevermind the explosion, the trainers went back to issuing commands. After such, Rehabit rose to his feet, despite not being awake yet. He swung an arm at Zero's head. It seemed like a completely harmless move... When a green aura surrounded the target, bubbles of energy flickering from it and into the attacker's body. Suddenly, however, while performing the move, he bumped right into the opponent; that seemed to have knocked off more orbs.

Feeling indifferent about that last attack, the Bronzor proceeded to unleash his own strike. For nobody's surprise, its eyes glew pink, and a white wisp bordered the foe's body, only to get pulled away.

The Cacnea started to move again. His subconscious mind unlocked his abilities hidden deep within. As multicolored spheres of energy began to sprout of his body and circle him, he unleashed a surge of power that sent them flying toward the bronze mirror Pokémon on the other side. When the blow came, it seemed to not really mind it, as if it was already used to it.

It began to use Dream Eater again, and describing its usage is slowly becoming tiresome.

Rehabit started to move again. He stumbled a few steps around, then started spinning fast, like some sort of top. Zero could only leap out of the way, as it watched its foe become blur, until its image was so difficult to see, it no longer looked like one, but rather, three.

The Bronzor prepared to use the same thing it had been using for quite a while now. Its eyes shone again, but it failed to figure which Cacnea it'd be attacking, until it flew into a frustrated tantrum that accidentally hit one of the clones, making it fade away.

As its burn stung, it paid close attention to the enemies, noticing the sand going right through one of them.

-----

The dream eating game didn't seem far away from concluding itself. Both trainers were already preparing to move on to the next duo of battlers as they ordered commands.

The Rehabits were mumbling in an unusual manner this round. It sounded arcane, perhaps even ghastly. Even their sleepy expressions demonstrated traces of bitterness, as their bodies became envelopped in a dark purple aura.

Zero knew exactly which one was the real deal because of how the sand flew right through the fake one. So, it jumped at the opportunity to score a knockout. Its eyes glew pink and it sucked a white wisp away from its opponent; nothing new so far, except for the fact that the Cacnea that wasn't hit disappeared.

The cactus Pokémon finally collapsed, hitting the ground facefirst like it had done more than once earlier. However, surprise struck all that watched as the glow that envelopped the fainted body sprang to life, swallowing the Bronzor.

After the attack went away, Kam's Pokémon had a shocked expression on; yet, it wouldn't move, not even an inch. It was out cold as well. It had been knocked out in an unnatural way.

As both of the defeated battlers returned to their Pokéballs, the referee, trying to keep sufficiently calm, instruted the trainers regarding who would send out first.

The sandstorm pointlessly raged on.

-----

Both trainers sent out a new duo of Pokémon. This time, a yellow-and-black girafffe and a blue axolotl took the stage. Commands were issued with a hint of haste, as the trainers rushed to feel the heat of the battle increase.

Shawn was the first to move -- rather, his backside was. The eyes on his tail closed, putting on an expression that showed focus. Afterwards, it launched itself up, unleashing a flash of light. Then, using psychic power, he gathered that light to form a semicircular dome around his (or perhaps their) body.

Kappa began to move as well. He noticed a small hill of sand on the ground, one over which he spat some water, then proceeded to use his tailfin to slap it towards the foe's eyes. The Light Screen made considerable amounts of sand scatter away from the bulky and back to the ground, however. A small amount of the attack still made it to the Girafarig's eyes, but nothing that couldn't be done away with through a simple scrub. Not even enough to take up a whole action, so as long as there was not that much more to do for the rest of it.

But he couldn't bother with his eyes just now -- he had to concentrate on the orders he was given. So, he stepped out of his barrier, sprinting along fast enough to blur his own image. When he settled down inside the dome again, there were four of him.

So, the Mudkip began to try to use Swagger... But, being the charismatic Pokémon he is, his move had the exact opposite effect he meant. Rather than infuriating his opponent, his egocentric speech seemed to actually have inspired the listeners. Perhaps he underestimated his flair with words.

Now burning up to do better at life and everything else, Shawn stepped out of the Light Screen, then stood on his hind legs, calling upon Electric-type powers lurking in his essence. He unleashed them in one stomp, broacasting an electric wave. The mud on his eyes mattered not; the pulse practically covered the arena, effortlessly pummeling its target.

Noticing that there remained clones behind the Light Screen, Kappa began to intentionally lower his body temperature, specially around the mouth. Then, he proceeded to blow a speedy stream of wind, containing droplets of water. The low temperature around the mouth made it quite chilly. As his body temperature returned to normal, he had to see a good part of his attack blowing away from the luminous barrier. The considerably thinned blow of air couldn't pass through any further than two of the Girafarigs, both of them proving fake. Two others remained.

The swirling sand mercilessly raked the Pokémon on either side. The Mudkip would probably have used it as a tell to figure which of the giraffes was the real deal, but he was too far away to see it properly.

-----

As the seemingly everlasting swirl of sand buffetted the trainers and left their clothes gritty, they issued commands, knowing that this fight had gone through worse distractions.

The mud on the eyes and the sandstorm around the arena made vision a privilege. Shawn could barely see in front of him as he put his hidden Grass-type powers to use, employing the energy of every potted plant inside homes nearby to form a green ball in front of him. He thursted it forward, and couldn't see whether it struck or not. And it didn't.

Ignorant to the foe's attempts, Kappa spat water on the air, hitting the sand hanging around and slowly forming a puddle of mud. He proceeded to roll on it, covering most of his body with it. With a confident look on his face, he was practically daring his opponent to try another Shock Wave.

It was clear that the sandy winds weren't being found pleasant for every living being in the battlefield. The Girafarig was glad to follow his next order, yet again summoning powers from inside -- this time, Fire-type -- to do much like his defeated partner did, sending the raging grit to rest on the ground, as the heat and light of the sun blessed the area.

Now able to see his enemy, the Mudkip sent his Dark-type powers to his jaws, springing to action once more. With a leap, he trespassed the Light Screen and tried to strike the target on the neck, but missed it, striking his back instead. His tail had a clear expression of pain stamped on it; his single clone vanished in the air.

After finishing the attack, Kappa didn't even put the darkness away from his mouth, leaping to use it again. He hit the same spot, earning the same results. Shawn didn't seem to mind the beatings, though, relaxing under the sunlight and rubbing mud away from his eyes as he sought comfort.

-----

The match, most likely, will make its halfway mark around this time. Both trainers employ caution, but nonetheless make some offensive moves.

More plantlife from random households let their energy be hoarded by Shawn. A green ball formed in front of him. This time, no sandstorm and no mud stood in the way; it was a clear shot.

The attack's target, however, did not stay motionless. Rather, he summoned hidden Psychic-type powers and scattered them all over his head, forming a rainbow-colored force field around it. He bravely thrusted his frontal fin against the Energy Ball. This move didn't come without recoil; he received the damage all the same, being launched backward in the air, but still managing to land upon his four stubby feet. However, instead of being destroyed, the Grass-type phenomenom was powerfully launched the same way it came from, effortlessly piercing the Light Screen and mercilessly tossing an unsuspecting Girafarig back.

Slowly standing back up, he closed his eyes. His tail followed suit. His entire body found a sudden peace and room to breathe and think carefully. As he blocked himself out of the world, however, his opponent still moved. No longer wearing his shining helmet of energy, he ran around the field. He achieved enough speed to blur himself on the eyes of whoever still watched. Once his race was finished, he was no longer a single Mudkip, but rather, five of them.

Shawn opened his eyes once more, surprised by his foe's multiplication. His tail's eyes remained closed, however, as it did something much deeper than it looked like it was doing. It peered into a close future, therein leaving a burst of Psychic-type energy in a position that would certainly see no escape from the enemy.

Meanwhile, in the present, one of the Kappa began to mix up some of his body fluids. After a bit of blending, he had, inside his mouth, an extremely foul substance. One he spat against the distracted foe, managing to splash it over his mouth; some managed to drip into it, leaving the horrible taste in. All the clones performed a similar action at the same time, but not of them had actually spat a real goop.
