Oh gog, will these two ever settle their gogdamn problem? Well, it's more fun if they don't. And to celebrate this being the fifth match, they'll fight using only Gen V Pokemon, in a five-colored, V-shaped platform. Each round, there's a 45% chance a Pokemon whose name starts with a V (listed below) will randomly attack one of the battlers with an (effective, so no Dream Eating awake Pokemon or using Swords Dance or one of the banned moves) attack from their movepool, and a 55% chance that one of the active Pokemon will turn into one at the end of the round (this effect ends after three actions). Pokemon with names starting with a V are: Vanillish, Vanillite, Vanilluxe, Vaporeon, Venipede, Venomoth, Venonat, Venusaur, Vespiquen, Vibrava, Victini, Victreebel, Vigoroth, Vileplume, Virizion, Volbeat, Volcarona, Voltorb, Vullaby, Vulpix.

Round 4 Begin!

The newly-Voltorbed Vitamin C glared at its opponent, its eyes taking on a red glow as it begins concentrating its energy. A faint red aura begins to form around it, undulating just slightly as it sits there, motionless. Bastard grins widely, his opponent seemingly offering no resistance; he begins rearing up onto his hind legs and slamming down to the ground, sending bizarrely-strong waves of force ripple out from each impact; they pass under Vitamin C, and with each one the aura around it grows exponentially. When Bastard finally ceases - several minutes later - the aura is massive, writhing and reaching for Bastard; a few more seconds, and it can no longer hold it in, and it explodes everywhere in an enormous wave of red energy, throwing Bastard straight back and into the invisible barrier; he jumps right back up and begins slamming the ground again, sending a few more ripples at her before deciding that enough is enough.

Suddenly, just before the referee can command the Reuniclus to lower its shield, a small, tan-colored creature leaps up onto the arena. It simply stays there for a few seconds, seconds that stretch into an eternity as Vitamin C suddenly morphs back into a thorny Ferroseed. The referee watches in seeming slow-motion as the creature - which she's now identified as a Victini, with significant surprise - lets out a loud squeal, and then leaps into the air. It crosses its arms in front of its face and seems to hang in the air for longer than should be possible, the V-shaped part on its head suddenly glowing incredibly brightly - before it throws its arms wide, emits an indescribable and otherworldly sound, and then launches an enormous plume of fire out of its forehead at Vitamin C, scorching the arena black where it hits and causing everyone else to stumble back in instinctual self-defense. When it ceases, the Victini curls up into a ball and vanishes, and Karkat Vantas recalls the puddle of molten metal that was once his Pokémon, reassuring himself that if the Pokéball still works it's still alive, and that the Pokémon centre can heal almost anything.

The referee just grins.

Gogogo, my beloved Durant.

I'm too lazy to think of commands right now.

X-Scissor. X-Scissor all the way.

If you were tormented the action prior, insectdoctrinate the little bastard with an Entrainment.

I don't find that word all that offensive, but, if you do, you could call him something like "Bass". Or "'Tard". Or something like "villain" or "bad guy".

Anyway. Let this evil plan move ownards. Start with an ol' round of swag, and then, let the flames dance.

Round 5 Begin!

Karkat - probably foolishly - sends out a Durant to replace his fallen Ferroseed, which appears on the scorched area of the field and immediately begins scuttling around in a panic, trying to minimize the contact with the extremely hot surface.

Hearing the order to use X-Scissor, Maribounta thinks yes! That is good order. This will get me off hot ground! Also will attack opponent. Yes. He darts towards Bastard and then, rearing up on his back two pairs of legs, raises his frontmost pair high into the air before bringing them down in a mighty slash, carving two large wounds into his snout and causing him to hiss and flinch away. He scrabbles and scrapes, but no matter what he does he can't reach to do anything about it; instead he starts hissing and spitting insults at Maribounta, lacing his words with an undercurrent of malicious energy. Durant, though, are remarkably thick-skinned - quite literally - and the insults slide right off, having absolutely no effect on him.

Instead, he leaps forward, still quadrupedally, and brings his claws down in another harsh slash - this time, though, it catches Bastard right in the spot of the previous attack. It cuts deep, and suddenly Bastard's overcome with a horrible rage; his eyes suddenly turn bright red, his mind filled with an all-consuming urge to tear the Durant limb-from-limb. He opens his mouth wide and, channeling his energy, raises the temperature therein to a massive degree; his teeth are suddenly bathed in flame, and he clamps his jaw down on the Durant's metallic exoskeleton; it melts almost instantly and buckles beneath the force, leaving a severely dented Maribounta.

Maribounta screeches and then, determined to leave his mark on the Sandile - more than he has - he scuttles awkwardly forward towards him again, slashing at his nose - though this time avoiding the previous wounds, not wishing to repeat the outcome. Fortunately, though, it turns out to be enough to finally do the Sandile in; he collapses to the ground, unable to support his own weight anymore.

Suddenly, Maribounta is bathed in the same grey light as has been seen earlier in the battle. He begins to bulge and his body deforms, several large flaps of skin grow out of his back, and his exoskeleton begins to droop in the heat he's suddenly giving off. He swells and grows, and suddenly launches himself up off the arena. When the glow fades away, Maribounta is a bizarre six-winged creature that's glowing like the sun, even more so than the earlier Larvesta. He flaps his wings and grins; looks like things are looking up.

THAT MINOR ADVANTAGE WON'T STOP YOUR TOTAL DESTRUCTION, KARKAT VANTAS.

YOU CAN PROBABLY GUESS WHY I'M TYPING LIKE THIS. ROLL OUT, CAPTAIN CAPSLOCK.

SET YOURSELF UP A NEAT TAILWIND, THEN CLOSE IN AND PERCH YOURSELF ATOP MARIBOUNTA'S HEAD. THIS SHOULD KEEP YOU OUT OF RANGE FOR MOST OF HIS ATTACKS. USE THAT BRIEF ADVANTAGE TO YELL SOME SWAG INTO THOSE WAXY NONEXISTANT EARS. THIS TIME, HE'S GOING TO LISTEN, DAMMIT.

AFTER THAT, YOU WON'T NEED ANY MORE SHITTY AVOIDANCE. RAVE AWAY WITH ROCK SLIDE.

TAILWIND ~ SWAGGER ~ ROCK SLIDE

Maribounta, I know your one true passion--

modern dance.

When it tries to get on your head, Fiery Dance.

Protect against the Swagger; don't want you confused.

If I'm not mistaken, there should be rocks on the ground for you to utilize; as a result, I think that you shouldn't have a very hard time lifting them up with a Psychic and slamming your opponent with them. Should be super effective, too. If there aren't any rocks you could use, Will-O-Wisp.

Round 6 Begin!

Metallica Fanboy's next Pokémon is a small, ruffly looking bird that immediately begins screaming at its opponent in what seems like block capitals; the ref glares intently at it.

Maribounta, still basking in the light he's giving out, begins flapping his wings and fluttering up and down. A fire begins to swirl in the air around him, and suddenly he's surrounded by a massive, twisting vortex of fire. He flutters around in a twisting swirling dance, whirling and occasionally hurling a fireball or two out of the vortex at the CAPTAIN. When he stops and the fire dies away, CAPSLOCK begins fluttering his feathers in a carefully-chosen way, summoning up a gentlish wind that begins blowing from one side of the giant V. Suddenly lightning-fast, CAPSLOCK flutters into the air and lands on Maribounta's head.

Maribounta flinches, as does CAPSLOCK; the Volcarona from the sudden contact, the Rufflet from the fact that the immense heat the Volcarona gives off is severely burning him. Before CAPSLOCK can do anything, though, Maribounta screeches loudly and a green bubble of energy expands outwards from him, flinging CAPSLOCK away and leaving him to land headfirst on the ground. He leaps back up and begins yelling madly at Maribounta, but the shield muffles sound and the insults fail to reach the Volcarona's ears. Once CAPSLOCK stops shouting, Maribounta lets the shield drop.

CAPSLOCK opens his beak wide and screeches loudly into the air, and suddenly the ground beneath Maribounta begins to ripple and distort. Suddenly, rocks tear themselves out of the ground and hurl themselves straight into him, tearing up his wings and slicing into his side; he collapses to the ground. Before they can hit the ground and meld back into the surface, though, a pink glow outlines them, the same glow as is suddenly illuminating his eyes; they lift themselves into the air and then, in defiance of everything we know about physics, hurl themselves at CAPSLOCK. They slice into his side and ruffle his feathers, then slam into the ground and melt back in, leaving the place seamless once more.

Suddenly, both battlers are enveloped in the now-familiar grey light. As CAPSLOCK screams, Maribounta begins to shrink drastically, his wings retracting into his back, the intense glow and heat fading away. CAPSLOCK, meanwhile, grows slightly, changes form dramatically, and the glow of both Pokémon fades away; Maribounta is a Durant once more, while CAPSLOCK is not a Volbeat.

Round 7 Begin!

Still skittering around on the heated ground, Maribounta charges at CAPSLOCK and, raising his front legs in the air, brings them down on the brightly-glowing bug in a mighty slash. CAPSLOCK flinches back, and squeals; suddenly, though, a red glow begins to emerge from his wounds, spreading to coat the entire Volbeat. Suddenly, he leaps up and rams himself straight into Maribounta, throwing the Durant aside with considerable force. Maribounta leaps up again straight away, though, and charges back for another slash; CAPSLOCK again counters with a red-coated tackle. When the scenario plays itself out identically for the third time, the referee is beginning to get annoyed; suddenly, though, CAPSLOCK's glow fades, Maribounta retreats, and the round looks like it's coming to an end.

Suddenly, though, something happens. Or two things, in fact. The first is that CAPSLOCK is enveloped again in the grey glow, shrinking and deforming back into a screaming Rufflet. The second is that a Volcarona suddenly drops out of the sky, landing on the arena with a thump. It picks itself up, shakes itself, and then looks wildly around; the first thing it sees is Maribounta, and it glares at him with hatred; suddenly it cranks up its heat output considerably, and bursts into bricktly glowing flames. It hurls itself bodily at Maribounta, landing right on top of him; it only stays there for a few brief seconds, but in that time Maribounta's metallic armor melts clean away, revealing the soft vulnerable flesh, which quickly catches alight. As the Volcarona flaps painedly away, Maribounta runs around in screeching circles, trying to extinguish the flames; he fails, and suddenly keels over, curling his legs up beneath him, still on fire. Karkat Vantas recalls his Pokémon with a distinctly angry expression; the flames remain in midair for the briefest of seconds before dying away.

NICE FANART THERE

IN FACT, HOW VERY INTELLIGENT, YOU'RE DRAWING THE FANART OF THE CRACK PAIRING BEFORE IT EVER COMES UP, DO YOU COME FROM THE FUTURE OR SOMETHING

START OFF WITH ATTRACT, CAPSLOCK. DO IT UNTIL IT STICKS. AS SOON AS SHE'S UNDER YOUR SPELL, GET BULKING IT UP. DO THAT AS WELL IF SHE TRIES TO PROTECT OR BOUNCE OUT OF YOUR WAY TOO.

IF BY THE THIRD ACTION SHE HAS ALREADY RECOGNIZED YOUR MANLINESS AND AT LEAST ONCE YOU HAVE ALREADY TAKEN STEPS TO FURTHER IMPROVE IT, MAKE HER SEE DOUBLE WITH A SUBSITUTE (UNLESS YOU'RE BEING TOO MUCH OF A WIMP FOR THAT, IN THAT CASE YOU KEEP BULKING IT UP)

ATTRACT/BULK UP ~ BULK UP/ATTRACT ~ SUBSTITUTE (10%)/BULK UP/ATTRACT

Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree?~

Yawn on the first action, follow up with a sub of your own. Yawn is a non-damaging move with no obviously ill effects, so it shouldn't fail; in the case that it does fail, use it on action 2 instead.

On action 3, Rain Dance; it can't take advantage of that.

Round 8 Begin!

The brilliant white beam from Karkat's next Pokéball resolves itself into the shape of a flat blobby thing, which is quickly revealed to be a Stunfisk.

Quickly, CAPSLOCK begins to yell to her, shouting compliments and asserting his masculinity. Since there's no way that that could possibly capture her attention, though, he also gives off a wave of energy in a strong subliminal signal. He's rewarded with the sight of Flounder suddenly smiling and seemingly losing all focus on the battle. She tries to focus, but the thought of what she's meant to be doing slips from her mind and she can't manage it.

His purpose achieved, he stops screaming and instead begins flexing his wings, stretching and exercising his muscles. When he finishes, he's noticably muscular, and he begins flapping his wings wildly; a seemingly endless stream of feathers streams out and clouds the air, before grouping into a vaguely coherent shape. As he stops pouring feathers into it it groups and bunches, forming into another, smaller Rufflet, which leaps up and jumps around.

Suddenly, over the edge of the arena leaps a Vanilluxe, looking very angry. It looks around and, seeing CAPSLOCK, leaps towards him; it opens its mouths wide and begins breathing out a stream of horribly cold air at the clone, which suddenly leapt in the way of the attack. Many of its component feathers freeze off and fall away, but a few do remain; the clone staggers around painedly, and the Vanilluxe dives over the edge once again.
