As done in this battle, only the trainer who isn't allied to the others knows who he is (they are informed by PM). As such, the remainder of the trainers don't know who their true enemy is supposed to be. Additionally, once per round, one of these role powers, randomly chosen, in a randomly chosen action, will utilize their effects:
- Vigilante: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and struck by Aura Sphere (with STAB, and the user is considered fully evolved). Immunities are ignored.
- Cop: All evasion boosts and accuracy drops are negated.
- Insane Cop: All Pokémon gain 1+ Evasion and 1- Accuracy.
- Doctor: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and struck by Heal Pulse. The amount of health that move would heal is halved. Immunities are ignored, and the move cannot miss.
- Insane Doctor: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and struck by Present. The chances of it causing damage or healing are changed to 50%. No more than 35% health may be lost or healed through this move. Immunities are ignored, and the move cannot miss.
- Roleblocker: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and made to flinch during that action.
- Miller: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and loses 2- Accuracy.
- Bus Driver: Two Pokémon on the field are randomly chosen and targeted. Any moves that would target one of these Pokémon during that action will target the other one instead, even if that causes a Pokémon to hit itself. A Pokémon that hits itself because of this effect may activate abilties such as Flash Fire in response to it.
- Tracker: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted. If that Pokémon targets another Pokémon with a move during that action, the Pokémon targeted by that move will be struck by Pursuit (with STAB, and the user is considered fully evolved). Immunities are ignored. The move cannot miss.
- Paranoid Gun Owner: All Pokémon that use an offensive move during the action this role appears will be dealt 7% Steel-type damage before attacking. Immunities are ignored.
- Arsonist: All Pokémon on the field are inflicted with a burn.
- Fireman: All Pokémon on the field are cured of poisoning and burns.
- Summoner: This role can only be rolled after one of the Pokémon have already fainted. A randomly chosen move from that Pokémon's moveset is used. The user is treated as being the fainted Pokémon, and the move cannot miss.
- Doublevoter: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and, if possible, uses the move it was going to use during that action two times within the same action. If the second usage would cause 10% damage or more, the damage it causes is halved.
- Jack-of-all-trades: Metronome is used. The move rolled thereby will ignore immunities and won't miss.
- Voodoo Lady: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and struck with Disable. The move cannot miss and will bypass Substitute and other such impediments. The single unallied player cannot be targeted by this effect.
- Terrorist: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and struck by Selfdestruct (without STAB, and the user is considered fully evolved). Immunities are ignored. The move cannot miss. The move is considered to target a single battler rather than multiple. The final damage this move would cause is multiplied by three-quarters before being applied.
- Serial Killer: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and struck by Night Slash (with STAB, and the user is considered fully evolved). Immunities are ignored. The move cannot miss.
- Lover: A randomly chosen Pokémon is targeted and a species of Pokémon is randomly chosen. For the next six actions, a Pokémon of that species, opposite in gender to the targeted Pokémon, appears and causes that targeted Pokémon to be severely attracted to them. That Pokémon has 25% health and can be targeted and hit by the attacks of any battlers. If that Pokémon's health depletes to 0% before six rounds are up, the attracted Pokémon suffers 50% damage, without ignoring the damage cap and always leaving the Pokémon at 1% if it would faint. When six rounds are up, the attraction fades and the Pokémon leaves. If the targeted Pokémon faints, the Pokémon it was attracted to utilizes the attack with the highest base power (STAB accounted for) in their moveset against whoever landed the finishing blow, and then receives 25% damage.
- Alien: An Elgyem with 15% of health enters the battlefield and can be targeted and hit by any moves from the battlers. If the Elgyem's health is depleted to 0%, the battle immediately ends in a draw. If the Elgyem survives for six actions, it leaves.
If one of the roles are rolled, they cannot be rolled again unless no other roles can be rolled.

Minor correction: any instance of "six rounds" in the Lover's effects is supposed to mean "six actions".

What would happen about the attraction if a pokemon only has one gender?

Also known as Cleffa.

Okay, go Gargoyle!

Lets go with Dragon Claw on Blitzkrieg, followed by a Flamethrower on North Pole. Finish with Dragon Claw on Godess. However, if you get a burn, poisoned or paralyzed, then Facade on Godess.

Let the Druddigon hit, then fashion yourself a 15% Substitute.

From there ownards, Fire Blast at the Magnemite. If there's rain active or it has a Substitute up, Double Kick it instead. If it has used Protect that action or is using Bide, blast the dragon with his kind's breath.

If you hit the Magnemite during that previous action, kick the God. If God Protects that action, or North Pole Protected earlier, kick that fucking magnet. How does it even work, anyway? If North Pole had been using Bide, let it unleash that now, then follow up with the kicking. If it initiated Biding this action or during the second (and God isn't available for the kicking), blow that gargoyle away.

all right.

Well, first, Thunder Wave Gargoyle, because you don't need to be worrying about him right now. Then calmly Teleport away from Blitzkreig's attack, and end with a nice Metal Sound on God.

I hate you Zackrai :c

just blast North Pole with Flamethrower.

Next two rounds use Attract on that Gargoyle and protect.

Round One Begin!

Walking into the fairly suspicious terminal with keen interest, four trainers and one referee prepared to have a battle. The technological, metallic, and large scene was surprisingly dim; it was with that cover that one of the four was revealed to themselves as the mafia.

The pokemon were sent out fairly quickly, with the first being released a small, oddly happy cleffa. She couldn't see very well in the dark--her ancestors had left the moon long ago--but either way she was pumped up for a fun round. Hopping a little with uncontrolled excitement, though, she was quite surprised when a magnemite flew right by her to land in their place. They passed quickly, and with a squeak of astonishment she flew a little higher than intended. In fact, she unintentionally ended up landing on the newest sendout, Blitzkreig; the puppy began barking irritably at her to get off (the battle hasn't started yet, cleffa-pokemon! Get off me! It's annoying! Off!) and in response she meekly apologized, getting off as quickly as she could waddle. Taking her time to get back to her original position, she found herself facing a grouchy-looking dragon; he was not amused by this at all. In fact, it sort of looked like he wanted to eat her...

But that wasn't going to happen that easily, once the battle kick-started a little bit late and her previous antagonizer magnemite shot off a few thin, spindly arrows of electricity at Gargoyle. With a literal tensing up and a glare that could turn people to stone (metaphorically, of course), the aggravated dragon focused on the one that was causing him all this inconvenience--the cleffa! Perplexed by his want of uncalled-for revenge, God defended his angry friend's honor valiantly; creating fire in her chest and heat in her mouth, she sent a powerful torrent of flames at the one who would feel the most pain. Apparently infuriated by the magnemite's distress, though, Gargoyle retorted harshly. Making his way to God slowly but surely, he pounced when he was close enough and unleased everything he had; anger-fueled blows, furious punches, and eventually vengeful (for what?) bruises were left on the cleffa when he stepped away. Wincing in pain, the deity-in-name realized she had learned a strong, very important lesson; you don't defend someone's honor in a battle. You just don't.

Meanwhile, Blitzkreig the puppy spat out a much smaller burst of embers. After relaxing there the whole round, there wasn't much to do other than that, so she watched as the bit of heat slowly shaped itself into the shape of a canine just about her size. And eventually it solidified itself as well, so the copy of her health could be called upon for later use. At the time all she did was yip at it happily, though. Finally, another growlithe to play with!

I suppose even though that I won't be defending Gargoyle's honor, he still might be persuaded to defend mine... Beginning to grin, God decided to take her levels of charm to a more active level. She walked up to Gargoyle, grinning, and whispered a few words involving something about egg groups not mattering (not that she was in one) if you're in love. And also how cute he was, that too.

Gargoyle... was not fooled. In fact, he was incredibly creeped out by the idea of having an eleven-inch tall mate. Still, it would be just cruel to say no to her... muttering something about liking her as a friend, he just sat there and figured attacking would be rude. It waasn't like he could move, anyway; his muscles seemed to object at anything that wasn't speaking. Speaking hurt too. So therefore, the cleffa and the druddigon watched with no particular interest as Blitzkreig fired a powerful cluster of fire at North Pole; they dodged it fairly easily with a last-minute teleport. (The show would've been much more awesome and maybe described in more length if the two had popcorn. But they didn't, so they didn't care.)

Next, the satisfied and smug pink thing put up a shimmering green barrier to protect her from harm. Somehow it avoided touching her "boyfriend," who had absolutely no negative reaction to this. Good riddance; I don't want to touch her. I really hope she gets over this. North Pole emitted a screech that sort of sounded like his opinion on the matter; it was pained, annoyed/annoying, and loud. Sadly, the cleffa could not hear the intended horror; instead the rest were left to deal with the consequences. Those consequences seemed to infuriate Blitz, who stood up, jumped, and striked North Pole with two swift kicks. Maybe there was more to it than that; the dog did seem pretty upset they teleported out of the way of her impressive fireball-star-thing. In fact, she still seemed pretty annoyed.

The reluctant boyfriend make a halfhearted attack at his shielded fangirl, gave up, and then sat down to rest. He had a headache, and so he dismissed his vision of a woman dressed in black hexing that irritating magnemite as a hallucination. (It wasn't; the voodoo lady was just as irate as he was.)

Notes:

Eeep, so late. :(

The fire blast would've done 23% damage, according to Kratos' calculator.

The attract works like a regular attract, I just hate/am bad at writing romances.

The last facade took less energy because Gargoyle didn't put much effort into it; he was attracted and also knew that God had protected.

North Pole's metal sound is disabled for six actions.

RK-10 issues commands, then Chief Zackrai, then Metallica Fanboy, then Grass King. I think so, anyway.

Calculations:
Thunder wave- hit= 0% damage, 4% energy and accuracy roll 28 (needed 100 to miss). No critical hit roll; does no damage.
-Flamethrower- hit= 12% damage (to North Pole), 5% energy and accuracy roll 94 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 11, needed 6 or below to activate. Burn roll 72, needed 10 or under to activate.
--Facade- hit= 13% damage (to God), 7% energy and accuracy roll 23 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 30, needed 6 or under to activate. Paralysis roll 36, needed 18 or under to activate. Cute charm roll 26, needed 70 or above to activate.
=Substitute- worked= 15% damage (to Blitzkreig), 8% energy and no accuracy/crit roll (cannot miss; does no damage).
-Attract- worked= 0% damage, 5% energy and accuracy roll 64 (needed 100 to miss). No crit roll; does no damage.
=Fire blast- blocked= 0% damage, 8% energy and accuracy roll 53 (needed 100 to miss; blocked by teleport). Crit roll 65, needed 6 or under to activate.
Teleport- worked= 0% damage, 4% energy, and no accuracy/crit roll (cannot miss; does no damage).
--Facade- failed= 0% damage, 0% energy and no accuracy/crit/attract roll (failed). Paralysis roll 18, needed 18 to activate.
-Protect- worked= 0% damage, 8% energy and no accuracy/crit roll (cannot miss; does no damage).
Metal sound- failed= 0% damage, 2% energy and no accuracy/crit roll (blocked by protect; does no damage).
=Double kick- hit= 9% damage (to North Pole), 4% energy and accuracy roll 40 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 45, needed 6 or under to activate.
Facade- blocked= 0% damage, 5% energy and accuracy roll 99 (needed 100 to miss; blocked by protect). Crit roll 57, needed 6 or under to activate. Paralysis roll 22, needed 18 or under to activate. Attract roll 44, needed 12 or under to activate. Cute charm roll 20, needed 70 or above to activate.

Oh, look, an unforeseen (and rather broken) effect of causing somebody to be declared innocent! Although, for fairness' sake, I'd have to observe that, as Growlithe are faster than Magnemite, whether Teleporting away from the Fire Blast would work would be discussible.

Also, at what point did Blitzkrieg take 10% damage? 100% minus 15% equals 85%.

Well, you had conditionals, so the actual order of attacks (might as well post the whole round while I'm at it) was:

(Action one)
North Pole (Thunder wave @ Gargoyle)
---God (Flamethrower @ North Pole)
Gargoyle (Facade @ God)
=Blitzkreig (Substitute)

(Action two)
North Pole (Teleport)
-God (Attract @ Gargoyle)

--Gargoyle (Facade @ God)

(Action three)
-God (Protect)
North Pole (Metal sound @ God)
=Blitzkreig (Double kick @ North Pole)

Also, those marks by the calculations are indicators of who did what. Since I forgot to mention it, the key is:

=Growlithe (Blitzkreig)
--Druddigon (Gargoyle)
Magnemite (North Pole)
-Cleffa (God)

Magnemite has no mark.

And I'm not sure if that was a typo or I just can't do math. Fixed!

Why do I always get the short end of the stick, so to speak, when it comes to health? Grr.

Let's start with Thunder Wave on Blitzkrieg, in order to make yourself the fastest pokemon out there, and he can't learn taunt, so you're safe, because you're faster than Gargoyle now. Follow it with Role Play on Blitzkrieg as well; this will protect you from fire moves. Then erect a fine Reflect to shield yourself from further flying kicks. However, if Gargoyle does Taunt you on the first or second action, use Thunderbolt on God instead.

To each their own, but, should conditionals weigh speed down if they rely not on the opponent's move but merely on assessing the current situation?

Well, regardless. I'd enjoy a balanced battle more than a wipeout victory, but I'll refrain from still hitting Chief Zackrai for the time being, at the interest of not hanging myself with a medallion noose that reads "MAFIA" in obnoxiously sparkling letters. I'd have held off anyway because it's in the town's interest to let no player get well ahead, as it'd get difficult if the far aheader were mafia, and Zackrai is anything but ahead as it stands.

The one who's ahead now is Grass King, so, it's time for Kool-Aid Man to be vindicated. Batter away with Dragonbreath. Howl if Gargoyle is Protecting. If he Attracts or Torments you, rotate between Howl and Dragonbreath.

The round starts off with a wave of turquoise flames descending from a red-hot blur, bursting out of Blitkreig's mouth with fervor; perhaps too much, considering how it was aimed poorly and ended up scorching the protesting floor instead of the protesting Gargoyle's face. The growlithe, upset, really had to acknowledge that it was her fault in part--prancing around the battlefield didn't and couldn't do her much good. And as she skid to a stop, it seemed she would be rewarded for learning; her substitute had just enough time to hear the whirring of North Pole's motors and see the lightning-quick jolt of electricity coming from the magnemite. Interfering just in time, the copy was struck with a thunder wave in her master's place. It didn't seem to affect the living flame much, however, when considering the substance it was made from. And even if it was negatively manipulated by paralysis, what would it matter? It wasn't like the substitute would be performing attacks any time soon.

With a frosty chill inexplicably coming from God's breath, the body double was suddenly tested of its loyalty yet again; so was almost everyone else in the arena, as the temperature dropped slowly but surely. Everyone was beginning to feel a bit sluggish... except for God, who had created the attack in the first place. Despite this, however, Gargoyle was tempted to vent his anger on whomever seemed a convienent target; in this case it was the magnet. They were left with dents and chinks and all sorts of pain after the attack, but after banging on metal Gargoyle couldn't help but feel a bit sore. He would have still continued if not for the sudden locking of his muscles interfering. Suddenly relieved, North Pole still decided to shed his extra protection for a bit of warmth. Blitzkreig didn't really notice and instead managed to concentrate on hitting with her next attack. It worked.

It was beginning to get freezing in the room, and North Pole decided they needed some protection; they quickly put up a barrier to protect from any incoming beatings. Immediately afterwards they realized that was a brilliant idea; the next pounding wasn't as painful and the look on Gargoyle's face after being hit with a dragonbreath was even better.

It was also pretty hilarious when Kaleidoscope flew in and he started swooning. Not so much for Mai, however, considering it meant they'd have to pry the bug off later. And there was the possibility of her baby getting hit by arena attacks, accidental scrapes taken from assaulting a rock-dragon monster thing, as well as the possible psychological damage...

They were also pretty confused how she got out of her pokeball in the first place, but they supposed that was a mystery that could stand to go unsolved.

Notes:

A lover came in one action three to target Gargoyle; Grass King, have you been keeping up with your sacrifices? The random pokemon generator I used actually happened to land on an illumise.

Making sure you finish a reffing before going to sleep probably isn't the most effective decision when you make it so you stay up until three AM while sick and tired.

Calculations:

Dragonbreath - missed= 0% damage, 5% energy and accuracy roll 100 (needed 100 to miss). No critical hit roll (missed).
Thunder wave - failed= 0% damage, 4% energy and no accuracy roll (blocked by substitute).
Icy wind - hit= 1% damage (to everyone), 6% energy and accuracy roll 1 (needed 95 or above to miss). Crit roll 35, needed 5 or under to activate.
Revenge - 19% damage (to North Pole), 9% energy and accuracy roll 88 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 69, needed 5 or under to miss. Paralysis roll 37, needed 18 or under to activate. Attraction roll 27, needed 12 or under to activate.

Revenge - failed= 0% damage, 0% energy and no accuracy/crit/attraction roll (failed). Paralysis roll 18, needed 18 or under to activate.
Role play - worked= 0% damage, 5% energy and no accuracy/crit roll (cannot miss; does no damage).
Dragonbreath - hit= 9% damage (to Gargoyle), 5% energy and accuracy roll 68 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 69, needed 5 or under to activate. Paralysis inducing roll 23, needed 70 or above to activate.
Icy wind - hit= 1% damage (to everyone), 6% energy and accuracy roll 75 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 80, needed 5 or under to activate.

Reflect - worked= 0% damage, 3% energy and no accuracy/crit roll (cannot miss; does no damage).
Icy wind - hit= 1% damage (to everyone), 6% energy and accuracy roll 24 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 32, needed 5 or under to activate.
Revenge - hit= 16% damage (to North Pole), 9% energy and accuracy roll 96 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 7, needed 5 or under to activate. Paralysis roll 63, needed 18 or under to activate.
Dragonbreath - hit= 9% damage (to Gargoyle), 5% energy and accuracy roll 13 (needed 100 to miss). Crit roll 47, needed 5 or under to activate. Paralysis inducing roll 19, needed 70 or above to activate.

If I recall correctly, the thing where any 100% accuracy attack could still miss in normal conditions is no longer an official determination, although a referee that still wants to use it probably still can, I suppose.

Also, a minor nitpick: the description of the Lover states that they're of a randomly chosen species. This matters because it would get awfully repetitive to have another of the same opponent lying around.

And last but not least, I can't seem to find the order of commands for this round.

Usually one would expect worse flaws from a double battle reffing at dusk, though, so I suppose these aren't much of a problem.

Oh, really? I don't think I ever saw that; I'll stop rolling for that in later rounds. I'd rather fix the more technical problems, though; would you mind just keeping it this way?

I'll fix that.

Right! Okay, so Grass King goes first, then you, then Chief Zackrai, then RK-9.
