• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Misreadings and stuff

So, there is a chocolate figure that looks a bit like a bear. Bear ears, a brownish color, that typical teddy bear position etc. But I noticed that its nose looked weird. Some time later, I noticed that it had hooves on its hands. I was the first of my family to realize that it's probably supposed to be a pig.

I was watching a video explaining why 4D cubes look weird when projected to 2D, and I misread "Side-first" as "Brain = hurt."

I was reading something about Canada for a school project, and came across the name Philemon Wright. Three guesses as to what I read that as. (Phoenix Wright)

Also, I read "Corrupt a wish" as "Corrupt a witch"

jokersfeind as jokersfistkind.

And, in one German lesson, we did a thing that involved writing something about ourselves on a piece of paper and the others guessing who it is. We also had to indicate our gender (with the first letters of the German words for "boy" and "girl") so the person reading it would know what pronouns to use. Much later, I found it again. I thought something like this:
Why is there that M?
Oh, it's the gender identification thing.
But I'm not M!
Oh right, it's German.
