[Scylla] Cloyster (M)
Ability:Shell Armor
Signature Attribute:Extraordinary Lineage


As is explained here, Scylla the Cloyster used to be, not a Cloyster, but the ancient six-headed beast, snacking on sailors that sailed down the narrow passage it called home. One sailor had a wife, however, well versed in magic, who transformed it into the Cloyster it is now. Despite being a Pokémon now, Scylla still keeps some of its extraordinary abilities, such as as its Six-Pronged Strike.

This is not Scylla's only distinguishing feature, however. It was the child of two powerful sea gods, Ceto and Phorcys, and as such, its association with water is not to be overlooked. Just being near water boosts Scylla's performance and washes away stat effects, both positive and negative, and the ordinary lifeless liquid will actually go out of its way to help the beast. However, water is linked very closely to this being's power-if it is not in it or at least touched by it, its performance suffers considerably. Such is the privileges and price of having such unusual parents.

Effects:Whilst in or surrounded by water, (it must be a considerably large body, at least as big as Scylla itself) all stat bonuses or deductions are removed and Scylla gains a +2 in Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defense. If it is within a meter or so of water when attacked with a projectile attack, the water will leap on its own accord and try to protect it, shaving 2% damage off. However, if Scylla is not surrounded by or in a body of water as large as itself, it loses -1 in Attack and Special Attack.

Oh, I thought someone already posted about this one, but maybe it got lost in the shuffle.

Eh, still gonna say you'll need to cut down on the stat boosts. It just adds up too quickly.

Am I missing something?

Because all stat bonuses are deductions are removed when Scylla enters a body of water, and then he gets a +2 in attack, this cannot stack with anything ever. It can't add up at all. Scylla can't just hop back in and out and increase its stats that way, Unless you mean that other moves could be used to increase Scylla's performance afterwords, that doesn't seem like a huge concern, but maybe it is?

Mr. Wonderful is a Ghost/Dark type Pokémon. Both of these types usually mean the Pokémon will be sly and use tricks. Mr. Wonderful is no different.

Ever since being rescued from 'That Damned Tower' as he puts it, he went back to using slyness and cunning to battle his foes. He has often used a few less than fair lies to get a foe to lower their guard. He will go to the ends of the earth as we know it to land a hit, and will go past any barriers that stand in his way. He spent all the time in That Damned Tower conferring with other prisoners in the Spirit Realm, which meant a few Spiritomb form a far off land(dream World) that possessed the Ability Infiltrator. This allows them to hit through barriers and screens. Mr. Wonderful was eager to learn how they harness it, and by doing such, gained it him self.


He learned how to harness his powers of being a ghost to fade through the average Reflect or two. That, and they only go a foot above their user. As a result, his attacks can go through them as well.

Effects: Mr. Wonderful gains Infiltrator in addition to Pressure, and will hit past foe's barriers. His foe also starts with a +1 accuracy boost (this can be reset to 0), as he often leaves a few open spots to strike as he focuses mainly on offense.

This is a signature attribute that can only backfire. However, I am compelled by forces stronger than I.

[Drowzee] Munna (F) Synchronize

Signature Attribute: All Just a Dream

Drowzee may have been named after a much creepier pokémon also associated with dreams, but she is, at her heart, a munna.

Like all munna, Drowzee emanates pink smoke when she eats a good dream. Unlike most munna, Drowzee soon found herself with an excess of the pink mist.

Her trainer might not have the largest team in existence, but it's still fairly large, and when they slept, Drowzee was surrounded by tens of pokémon, all dreaming quite pleasantly thanks to the sedatives in their food. She just naturally absorbed the dreams of everyone around her, and the smoke billowed out of her nostril non-stop. There was so much excess that, even throughout the day, away from anyone who was asleep, she still found herself expelling more mist.

And, well... she could surround herself with it. The pleasant dreams of everyone, all taking place in the shared dream world. Better yet, she could surround everyone with it and spread the joy.

Effects: The arena becomes filled with a gentle pink mist as soon as Drowzee is sent out, wafting over everyone and plunging their minds straight into the dream world, though they do not truly sleep. Every pokémon on the field, therefore, becomes its dream world self, replacing its current ability with its species' dream world ability.

It is impossible to put a pokémon to sleep when it's All Just a Dream, but pokémon are already considered asleep for the purposes of all moves and abilities; however, the tooth-melting sweetness of the Dream World prevents a nightmare from taking hold. Should a pokémon with the bad dreams ability enter the field, though, everything twists into a nightmarish dimension, and all pokémon are equally affected, the awful powers of Darkrai being much greater than her own.

This signature attribute has no effect on pokémon with the insomnia or vital spirit abilities, and its effects end as soon as Drowzee is no longer in play.

Do the attacks you listed get only one of the stated effects, or all that would apply. Would astonish do more damage and have an increased flinch chance, or only one? How does glare cause a "more severe" status effect?

Mai - Better With Numbers

There's a restriction on conditionals because they're a huge headache both for players and referees. Adding more is not only a powerful benefit, but makes the battle more irritating for everybody else. You could make a signature attribute where you would get up to one additional conditional per round, but not per action. A fully evolved pokémon could get that for only moderate drawbacks.

Crazy Linoone - Abnormal Programming

Needs substantial drawback; may not be approvable even with.

This wasn't actually approved, but I think what Byrus was getting at is that an overall +8 stat boost plus 2% damage reduction while in water is over-the-top.

Is this not just a blizzard + tailwind combo?

If I recall correctly, Acid Armor can be used that other way as well; however, I might be mistaking it for an inherent trait in Vaporeon, Grimer and Muk.

Signature Attribute: Green Rage

Environmentalist did not get this nickname for no reason. He actively enforces the protection of nature and, if something anti-ecological transpires within his range of sensory, he will deliver punishment, drawing power from what he seeks to protect if necessary. What particularly peeves him are the following: littering, water pollution, gas emission and, mostly, destruction of nature by reckless attacking.

Effects: This signature attribute will be triggered if any of the following occours in an arena with sufficient wildlife: dropping a held item while Environmentalist can't collect it with Pickup (unless Environmentalist himself caused the item to be dropped), causing Poison-type moves to hit a sufficiently large body of water (which means not a puddle, but definitely a pond) or using Acid Armor to blend into one whilst being a Poison-type, using Smokescreen or Smog, or causing significant damage to said wildlife. If Green Rage is activated, all of Environmentalist's offensive attacks will do 3% more damage, with the energy cost being increased in accordance to the damage dealt (i.e. for the intents and purposes of cost calculation each attack is treated as having 30 more points of base power). Also, while in this state, Environmentalist receives STAB whenever he uses an offensive Grass-type move, but must expend 1% additional energy for every such attack.

Most Castform found in the wild find their family tree's roots in Hoenn's official weather institute, where the first Castform was built to help study the weather. Unbeknownst to many citizens, in Hoenn, there exists a different institute dedicated to studying weather.

The few people belonging to this institute harbor a deep resentment toward the "official" weather institute.

"Why should they be the official institute? Yes, they do manage to predict the weather accurately, and they did manage to create Castform, but that doesn't make them superior to us."

To prove that point, the members of the unofficial weather facility decided to create a better pokemon that would help them study the weather. Not only would this pokemon be able to provide more information about the weather, it would also be a better battler than the ridiculous pokemon the official institute was able to create. Or so they thought. Years went by without the members of the unofficial weather facility managing to make any progress at all. One day, it dawned on them that they needn't create an entirely new pokemon. They'd just need to "borrow" the designs of the official weather institute. Infiltrating the official weather institute with the only competent meteorologist in their facility, they managed to get a copy of the data regarding Castform's creation. With this data in their hands, they were one step closer to their goal. All they needed to do was to somehow modify that data.They thought, "What if we make a new form for Castform?" They decided to create a wind form for Castform,and being extremely uncreative, they gave Castform wings and programmed for them to sprout when Castform entered its wind form.However, there was a reason these "meteorologists" weren't part of the official weather institute. This became apparent in the resulting pokemon. To the meteorologists' surprise, Gleeb doesn't experience emotions. Apparently, while making changes to the official blueprints, these meteorologists accidentally deleted the personality data. Hoenn authorities found out about this incident and released the poor pokemon into the wild.

Effects: Gleeb gains access to a windy form. He will transform into this form once Tailwind is in effect, whether or not Tailwind aids him or his opponent. In this form, he is considered to be a flying type pokemon. Also, while in this form, Gleeb is treated as both inherently hovering and consensually flying. He requires no energy to hover but can be commanded to fly higher at the cost of energy like a normal consensually flying pokemon. The only visual cue that differentiates Gleeb in his windy form from his normal form is his pair of tiny white wings. If a weather condition and Tailwind are both in effect, Gleeb will transform in accordance to whichever move was used last. For example, if Gleeb uses Rain Dance and his opponent uses Tailwind afterwards, he will be in his rainy form between his action and his opponent's but will transform into his windy form after his opponent's turn. When Tailwind is in effect, Gleeb's weather ball is considered to be flying type and has double the power. If a weather condition and Tailwind are both in effect, Weather Ball will gain its type based on the last move used. Gleeb's move changes can still be used even if he is not in his windy form similarly to his access to fire type, water type and ice type moves even if he is in his normal form.

Gleeb also learns the following moves: Clear Smog, Defog, Razor Wind, Whirlwind, Hurricane, Fly, Featherdance, Sky Attack

The moves gained/lost really aren't balanced. In general, this could use a larger drawback.

Body Mod: The Most Nervous Archen in All the World

Radzim is a particularly nervous little creature, more so than most Pokemon are known to be, always shivering or looking around to make sure nothing want to hurt him. This nervousness even overrides his kind's normal defeatist attitudes, effectively changing his ability to Rattled. He is also more easy to scare or surprise, so the following attacks will be more effective against him, either reducing his stats by one more domain, doing 1% more damage, being 10% more likely to cause Flinching, or inflicting a more severe status effect (mild -> severe, and so on). These effects stack if an attack would do more than one, and Radzim still gets a Rattled boost if he gains a boost from this attribute:

-Fake Out
-Leer
-Glare
-Beat Up
-Foul Play
-Hyper Voice
-Astonish
-Knock Off
-Punishment
-Pursuit
-Shadow Punch
-Shadow Sneak

But, for each time he is hit with one of the above attacks, he wants to get away from the user as fast and as soon as possible, raising his Speed by one stage.

Effects: Radzim's ability is changed to Rattled. He is effected more by certain moves, in exchange for a Speed boost when hit with one.

Description:
As mentioned here, this Porygon was corrupted by a powerful virus, Stuxnet. This virus was used as a weapon to infect things like power plants and oil grids, and shut these things down using holes in the programming known as "Zero Days".

Porygon's digital nature allowed Stuxnet to infect one member of the species. Scientists quickly stopped the virus from spreading, but Stuxnet still used it's purpose-it still found Zero Days. But not just in computer programming-as it turns out, our world is merely a gigantic mash of incredibly complex computer code:a code filled with holes, for those able to see them.

And Stuxnet is. It exploits them every round, regardless of it's trainer's wish, which is what it's Attribute Zero Day is all about. However, Stuxnet can also be commanded to use these holes in the programming of life offensively, as an attack. However, these Zero Days are wildly uncontrollable, and the target, damage and energy cost of the move are all things Stuxnet has no bearing over. The complex makeup of this code means it will always hit what it classifies as a 'target', be that an enemy, foe, or Stuxnet itself.

Usage Gap:Two Rounds

(Though this attack can inflict 10% damage to an enemy for 1% energy, I believe it is balanced by the fact that it is just as likely to inflict 10% damage to itself for 10% energy).

Rotoms aren't known for being the stealthiest Pokemon around. Often they run around messing with electronics or playing pranks, just generally causing trouble and attracting attention to themselves. A Rotom possessing an object is even easier to spot than a normal one; bright orange with a telltale glowing aura, often making quite a lot of noise or being very obvious. Fans, washing machines and lawnmowers (as well as a custom made chainsaw!) aren't known for being quiet, more so when being possessed by a mischievous Rotom, and large orange microwaves and fridges aren't exactly inconspicuous. So Static decided to become more stealthy to become a better trouble-maker.

..It failed, to put it bluntly. Static couldn't stop itself from buzzing happily, or sparking with excitement whenever it got close to someone it was sneaking up on. This called for a different approach. Instead of trying to hide from its target, Static focused on dulling their senses so they wouldn't notice it approaching. Through some messing around with different applications of electricity to different organs, Static has figured out how to best disorient its opponents and leave them open to surprises, or more commonly, attacks. Because its Trainer and her team (its test subjects) was mostly made up of animal based Pokemon and ghosts, it didn't have the chance to modify this move for use on machine-like or bug-like Pokemon and so, this attack won't work on them.

Type: Electric / Stat: Special / Damage: 2% / Accuracy: 90% / Target: Single / Energy: 8% / Duration: One Action / Usage Gap: Seven Actions

Effects: Static zaps the target with small clustered sparks of electricity that affect its nervous system. The target becomes disoriented and more open to attack, causing it to have light confusion, -1 Special Defense, and -1 Defense which fades after one round. It also gains a -2 accuracy drop which does not fade.

Unless I could get away with the usage gap being six actions..?

Edit: I'm thinking this'll still be a no. If still no, would making him have a permanent -1 speed be enough of a drawback or would that still be lacking?
Edit no. 2: I seem to remember having read somewhere that pokemon in their final stage of evolution could have more powerful sig. attributes. Is this true? If yes, to what extent are their attributes more powerful, and does this apply to pokemon which do not evolve?

Because its Trainer and her team (its test subjects) was mostly made up of animal based Pokemon and ghosts, it didn't have the chance to modify this move for use on machine-like or bug-like Pokemon and so, this attack won't work on them.

It's well known that all Porygon-Zs tend to have some major glitch in their programming somewhere. While most Porygon-Zs malfunction the same way due to the Dubious Disks being coded by Silph Co., some ambitious trainers attempt to code the Dubious Disks themselves to save money. Sometimes, skilled programmers create absolutely flawless Porygon-Zs with 999 in all stats (those are usually confiscated by the League). However, most usually end up malfunctioning in some manner or the other.

In an attempt to save money, Crazy Linoone has decided to try this "coding" thing for itself. Sadly, one year of AP Computer Science class is not exactly good enough for the complex coding Porygon-Zs require, and, as such, Death Canyon has some strange bugs. Some Doubles got turned into Integers and some Integers into Booleans; toss in a few typos, wrongly declared variables, and bad logic here and there, you've got yourself a Porygon-Z with Type Mismatch Errors. Linoone, being an awesome programmer, fixed those mistakes not by going back through the code but by writing a few lines (or three or five hundred) of code that suppressed these error messages. Although attack type and Death Canyon's current type are supposed to be separate variables, the horrendously bad programming caused them to become interlinked, causing all of Death Canyon's normal type attacks to change to whatever type Death Canyon currently is at the time.

But hey, at least no error messages are popping up, right?

Effects: All of Death Canyon's moves that are Normal Type under regular conditions are always the same type Death Canyon currently is. For example, if Death Canyon uses Conversion and turns into a Steel Type, its Tackle is now Steel Typed as well. If the Steel-Typed Death Canyon gets hit by Soak and turn into a Water Type, its Tackle attack will now also be Water Type. These attacks will not receive STAB unless Death Canyon is a normal type. Death Canyon will also receive 3% typeless damage when its type is changed and always move last within its priority bracket in the action following its type-change due to the programming errors.

Eventually, though, he was caught by the ASB League. Thinking nothing of the Magmarizer, those who caught Khao left the object behind. Khao was understandably distraught when he was sent out of his Pokeball for the first time in front of his new trainer. He kicked and pounded at the ground in a frenzy, spat small embers at his new trainer when she tried to comfort him, all the while wailing, “Where’s Leo? Where is Leo?!” It took a saintly amount of patience and several cookies to calm the hysterical Cyndaquil.

Khao’s new trainer went to great lengths to keep him happy. For days she talked to him, tried to coax him into telling her what was wrong, if she could do anything to help. When she finally learned who (or rather, what) Leo was, she walked right to the nearest official ASB store and bought Khao a brand new Magmarizer. Khao was ecstatic. He gave a squeal of happiness and hugged his trainer’s leg, then promptly curled around the new “Leo” and fell asleep, purring contentedly.

Since then, Khao made sure that Leo was with him at all times. He vowed the two would never be separated again. But reality hit him in the face: the opponents he faced in battle were interested in Leo, too. They would steal him, take him away, and he would never see him again. Several Pokemon came frighteningly close to stealing Leo, but they were always stopped by something or other (paralysis, for example). Clearly, the gods acknowledged that Khao and Leo should not be separated. Just as clearly, Khao knew his luck could not last, so he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Khao asked his trainer to make sure that Leo stayed with him always. Surgically attached to him, bound to him with the strongest material – he didn’t care how. Khao’s trainer decided to bind Leo to him with fire-proofed and fortified ropes of the strongest Ariados silk. This material was light yet durable, harder to break than the toughest steel. Leo settled at the center of Khao’s chest; the ropes of silk that kept Leo in place wrapped around his midsection and above his shoulder blades, tied in a dead knot on his back. The contraption fit snugly, was impossible to untie, and was nigh indestructible. To be doubly sure, Khao’s trainer took up on his other suggestion: she paid a licensed Pokesurgeon to attach some of Khao’s muscles to Leo and cover the base with Khao’s skin and fur. Khao was satisfied. Though he could no longer sleep comfortably on his stomach, and powerful shoves caused the skin and muscle there to stretch painfully, he knew no-one would be able to take Leo away from him, and that was all that mattered.

Effects: Khao’s Magmarizer is attached to his chest with ropes of fire-proofed, fortified Ariados silk that is nearly indestructible. It is also surgically attached to his chest: the base is covered with skin and fur, and muscles are connected to the object. Because of that, Khao's Magmarizer may not be knocked off, stolen, or otherwise removed. He may still use Covet, but the stolen item will immediately be discarded. He may not Fling his Magmarizer. Additionally, since his Magmarizer is not naturally part of him and sticks awkwardly out, a powerful shove or blow will painfully stretch the skin and muscle attached to his Magmarizer. As such, physical attacks with a base power at or higher than 75 aimed at his Magmarizer will deal 1% more damage after all calculations.

Signature move: Bombs Away!

Ventus is a ruthless, ruthless bird. She’s developed an obsession for battling – the excitement, the adrenaline! – and she’ll do anything to win. She’ll even sacrifice her future children for the sake of victory, and I mean it literally – if deemed necessary, she will lay an egg on command and watch as it explodes on her opponent’s head.

... okay, so maybe not future children. More like would-be children who were somehow converted into bombs. Poor Taillow chicks, and cruel, cruel Ventus.

How did a Swellow figure out how to make eggs explode, anyway? Years ago, when Ventus was still a wild Taillow, she used to travel the world, leaving her homeland of Hoenn to see the lands of Johto and Kanto. In Kanto she came across the Safari Zone, where she witnessed Chansey and Exeggutor toss eggs around. Normally it wouldn’t interest her much, but some of the eggs exploded in a great burst of energy and flying eggshell. Ever the obsessive battler, Ventus saw the destructive potential of the exploding egg. Captivated, she swooped down and demanded to know how it was done.

The Chansey and Exeggutor explained that what they were throwing merely looked like eggs. Indeed, they were eggs no longer as the contents had been converted into pure energy. The eggshells were also fairly thin compared to normal eggs. Upon being struck, the shell cracked, and the unstable energy within jumped at the opportunity to be free. In effect, the energy leapt out of the crack, forcing it wider and causing other cracks to spider along the surface. Propelled by the eager power, shards of eggshell would fly off in every direction at high speeds. All this happened in an instant; the opponent would be struck by a shower of sharp eggshell and buffeted by the energy inside the egg. Ventus thanked the Chansey and Exeggutor and flew off. Secretly, she was fairly unimpressed by the force of the Egg Bombs and Barrages shown to her. However, she had already decided to spurn the life-giving qualities of eggs in favour of their destructive power. She just had to find a way to make the attack stronger.

The answer was simple: just store as much energy in the egg as possible. If necessary, many Egg Bombs or Barrages could be launched in a single battle; they traded power for availability. Ventus decided to hold one large egg in her body instead of many small ones. A larger egg meant more space for energy to be stored, and thus more power behind the attack. To Ventus’s delight, the added power had an unexpected but very welcome effect: the egg shards now flew everywhere with such force that nearby Pokemon would suffer damage, as well. Unfortunately, not everything was sunshine and rainbows; a larger egg meant more effort was needed to squeeze it out. In fact, so much effort was needed that when the egg came out at last, she was rocketed up and away.

Effects: Ventus flies directly over her target and squeezes a fairly large egg out of herself. The egg explodes on the target, damaging them, while eggshells fly every which way, dealing a flat 3% damage to anyone within two meters of the initial explosion. Upon ejecting the egg, Ventus is immediately thrown up and forward, though she can still somewhat control the direction of her flight with her wings. Also, as she expends a lot of effort forcing the egg out, Ventus takes 3% recoil damage. Finally, Ventus only stores one of these explosive eggs in her body, so she can only use this attack one per battle.

Muffin (m) Woobat
Ability: Unaware

Signature attribute: Blindness

Muffin is very similar to all the Woobat around him. But while they can see to some extent, Muffin is blind due to a birth defect. To make up for this, his hearing has increased significantly. He uses his hearing to "see" around himself via echolocation, but moves will still be harder to do due to his lack of sight. While he grew up in the small cave he lived in, he learned to use more moves based off sound and his psychic powers, rather than the physical moves he cannot use properly.

Effects:

Muffin is completely blind. As a result of this, all moves he preforms have a 5% drop in accuracy. Also, any sound based moves aimed at him will do 2% extra damage after calculating effectiveness. However, any moves that require sight or the reduction of sight (flash, sand attack, ect) will not affect him as he cannot see it at all. However, due to honing his special attacks, he gains a small, 1% boost to special moves he preforms. Since he uses his psychic powers to aim his special attacks, they are not affected by the accuracy drop but use up an extra 2% energy due to him using his psychic powers to aim the move, and may also be slower if the opponent is moving around quickly. In such cases, Muffin will go last on that turn.

He loses:
assurance, endeavor, aerial ace, gyro ball, pluck and u-turn.

He gains:

Echoed voice, uproar, snarl, hyper voice, extrasensory, snore

Signature move: Echoing scream

Muffin is used to being without vision, and has come up with many ways to cope with it. For one thing, he has decided to wear glasses to hide his blank eyes from young Pokemon. Another way he has coped is to harness his echolocation and use it in battle.

Being blind, Muffin realizes, really sucks in battle. Sometimes the Pokemon he is facing moves around so quickly that he can't even work out where they are! In his frustration, he decided to work on a move that could help him find his foes, no matter where they may be running.

Muffin lets out a scream so loud it fills the whole arena, no matter how big it is. When the scream hits a Pokemon, most of it bounces off but a little bit of psychic energy remains. This psychic energy allows Muffin to locate the foe, removing any evasion boosts the Pokemon may have. As this is a very loud scream, Muffin is unable to use any sound based moves for the next 3 rounds.

Due to the fact it is sound based, soundproof Pokemon, ect, are not affected.

that move seems terribad to me now, so if there's simply no chance of getting that much base speed, I think I'll just go with and now, for something completely different.

Move modification: Otherworld Slip

In the skies above Asber, eight pokémon battle in the midst of meteors and a raging firestorm. It will soon be Puff's time to join them, she knows -- but not yet.

For now, she silently watches (and perhaps silently cheers for Giratina as a fellow ghost) from the reverse side of the world -- the world of the dead, the ghost plane; it has many names among the living, some less accurate than others. It is a strange place, where spatial dimensions are different, physics fails to apply, and geometries are alien to our minds. It is a place ghosts know well -- something of a safe haven for them, inaccessible to other beings; for many, it is the origin of their essence and their power.

Perhaps, then, when Giratina parts the sky, returning to its home, it was expectable that it would burst into the reverse world. But for Puff, it is a revelation to discover that the Giratina, too, is of the otherworld -- at once reaffirming her admiration of Giratina, and giving her terrible ideas. As Giratina returns to the 'normal' world, blazing with an aura of ghost energy, Puff resolves to follow Giratina's example, to learn to use the world beyond to her benefit in battle.

It did not take long for Puff to make a approximation of Giratina's Shadow Force; once the idea is formed, it is not difficult (though somewhat energy-consuming) to effect the transportation from the 'normal' world to the ghost plane effectively enough to do so in battle. Puff's current technique lacks refinement, however; and though it outwardly seems similar, its details do differ significantly from those of Giratina's Shadow Force.

Type: Ghost / Stat: Other / Energy: 9% / Target: User / Duration: up to two actions

Effects: Puff suddenly vanishes into the ghost plane, becoming almost entirely immune to attack for the duration of this move. At any time before the end of the move's duration, Puff can complete the move by returning to the 'normal' world (without taking an action).

Puff can additionally bring any objects or willing pokémon touching her when this move is used; for every additional pokémon brought, Puff must expend 3%. Any ghosts brought along can act normally; other pokémon cannot take actions which are not purely mental without being completely lost to the ghost plane's alien geometries. All pokémon brought along return to the 'normal' world when Puff does.

Puff can exploit the alien geometries of the ghost plane to transport herself and anything she has brought effectively instantaneously between unconnected points; they can reappear in the 'normal' world in any position Puff wishes. (If that space is already occupied, the pokémon is shunted into the nearest open space.) However, if a pokémon returns outside the bounds of the arena, it does not rejoin the battle and is instead considered knocked out.

If Puff remains in the ghost plane to take a second action, she can begin an attack, then shift to the 'normal' world to loose it; due to the surprising nature of this reappearance, other pokémon cannot react before the attack is complete.

Moves which damage the fabric of reality (such as Roar of Time, Spacial Rend), open gates to other worlds (such as Dark Void, Shadow Force, this move), or otherwise distort reality (such as Faint Attack, Gravity, Magic Room, Trick Room) reduce the effort needed to further break down the walls between worlds; if this move is used within three actions of such moves, its energy cost is reduced by one-third (to 6% + 2% per additional pokémon).

Pokémon in the ghost plane (including Puff) cannot perceive the 'normal' world to receive commands, and must be given commands before departure.

Hm, this didn't turn out quite as ominous as I hoped. Hopefully it's still sort of unnerving. (In other words, let's play the "see what Mai can get away with" game!)

Ability: Hydration
Signature Attribute: Assimilation Plot

Like many bug-types in general (and especially ones on Mai's team), Tuft puts a lot of faith in the swarm. He firmly believes that two pokemon at half power, or even at a fourth of their power, are far better than one at full power. Together a team can accomplish great things, no matter who they're facing, as long as they have strength in numbers; two heads are better than one after all. This was the central philosophy of all insects, and his pride elevated it to the highest status; in his opinion it really was.

Bugs were the best, of course. And why? They shared their wisdom, had immense amounts of creativity, and even were humble about their being better than everyone.

That tends to be the case when you're at the bottom of the food chain and have been snacked on for millennia.

The main thing that caused this magnificence was the hive mind. The hive mind gave courage, it gave duty, it gave power, it made things become simple, it consumed, it conquered. It was truly the most efficient way to go about quashing enemies, and even better; there could be no resistance, nor confusion. There was only the queen, the queen's subjects, and the queen's foes.

After consulting with a few other insects and converting others to his sinister cult, he crafted a plan; make everyone a single swarm, with or without himself as the hive queen. And after quite an extensive amount of training, he found himself a way to at least partially merge the power of insectum into allies (sadly, he had yet to completely dominate others not bound through a common goal). And in due time, he would be able to spread unity throughout all of Asber.

Effects: Immediately after being sent into battle, Tuft forces himself into the consciousness of all allies and performs a sort of Mental Fusion; this manifests itself as conditional limits becoming for the team instead of for the pokemon. For example, in a double battle, this means that if Tuft's ally only has two conditionals in an action, he can use the extra mindpower to comprehend four--this works in reverse and if Tuft has no conditionals his ally can comprehend five. This works with all teammates (so a valid number of conditional commands could be four, five, two, and one in a battle with four pokemon per side), but despite the support of the swarm a pokemon still has limits; no pokemon can obtain over five valid conditionals.

In a single battle, this connection to the hive shows itself as gaining the ability swarm.

However, after becoming so dependent on this synchronization of minds Tuft has lost confidence in his ability to attack on his own. Therefore, he starts out the battle with -2 attack and special attack; these act as normal stat reductions and can be gotten rid of through the effects of haze, psych up, etc.
