Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Woah, these have been waiting for a while. Sorry about that.

[Twitch] Zubat (Female)
<Insomnia>
Sig. Attribute: Caffeine Addiction

Signature Move: Coffee Break
Type: Coffee (Of course it's a type!) / Stat: Supportive / Base Damage: N/A / Accuracy: 100% / Target: Self / Energy: Varies / Duration: Varies
Effects:
Just as the name may suggest, Twitch takes a turn for a breather and a nice cup o' joe. She simply flies back to her trainer for access to the thermos she will undoubtedly have on hand for a shot of whatever delicious treat may be inside. Depending on what she receives (On choice of trainer on use) she will receive one of various effects. Unfortunately, it's impossible to carry more than one serving at a time, thus she may only access this move once per battle - but the effects are generally strong.
Strong Brew: A nice, basic cup of strong, black coffee; unimpeded by fillers and wonderfully energising. Restores 50% Energy.
Ice Mocha: A cold, creamy, refreshing chocolatey blend sure to melt the worries of the world away. Restores 30% Health. (May not be used in matches with Direct Healing banned; counts for limited direct healing counter)
Espresso: A sharp and super-strong shot of condensed caffeine; even the most attuned individual will get a jolt from this stuff. Gives an immediate +6 Speed; This speed works like a normal stat-up and will not fade unless forcibly dispelled some how.
Espresso Latte: A slightly toned down and slower effect double-shot of Espresso; still packs a major punch, but not all at once. Grants the Speed Boost ability in addition to all other abilities for the duration of the match, causing Twitch to slowly speed up over time up to the normal cap. (Remains through switches) However, Sleep-Inducing moves have the ability to cancel the Speed Boost ability at their normal success rate. (They will still not put Twitch to sleep) Twitch will keep acquired boosts in this case, but not gain any more and lose existing ones on switching or through normal dispelling methods.
Vanilla Latte: A hot, yet refreshing and creamy blend sure to make one feel ready to take on the world with it's comforting vibes. Grants +6 Defence and Special Defence at the cost of -4 Attack and Special Attack.
Exotic Brew: A bracing, strong brewed blend hailing from a remote region. It has a rare flavour and texture, and a balance of caffeine that has the strange tendency to make one feel confident and aggressive; traditionally consumed by native warriors in it's home land. Grants +6 Attack and Special Attack at the cost of -4 Defence and Special Defence.
Usage Gap: Once per battle

You'll need to specify what the energy cost varies between; also, the move does need to be of an existing Type (even though 'Coffee' does seem to fit better than anything else...).

[Ares] Nidoran (M)
Ability: Poison Point
Signature Move: Inferno Horn

Ares was once part of a great herd of Nidoran and their evolutions. Each year, the herd would travel from the plains where they made their home up into the mountains to train. Within these mountains lived a lost tribe of Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard. When the herd had first discovered the tribe hundreds of years ago, they made a treaty, which stated they would not hurt each other. The peace remained for many years, until a Nidorino fell in love with a Charmeleon. The Charmeleon also fell in love with the Nidorino. Both the herd and the tribe objected to this. However, eventually the pair managed to convince the tribe and the herd to reconnect. They made a new treaty that would involve the clause of Pokemon from the tribe and the herd falling in love.

As more Pokemon from the herd and the tribe began to fall in love, they began to breed. Since those days the tribe and the herd have bred. Ares is the result of many years of Nido-legacy being bred with Char- Pokemon. In fact, even his father is a Charmeleon.

Due to the extraordinary amount of Fire-type Pokemon blood flowing through his veins, Ares can summon small amounts of fire for a short period of time. He had managed to form a barrier of fire around his horn, which he then rams into the opponent.

Type: Fire / Stat: Physical / Base Damage: 5% / Accuracy: 90% / Target: Single / Energy: 5%
Ares summons a barrier of fire around his horn temporarily. He then charges at the opponent, and slams his horn into them. The barrier of fire then disappears. There is a 5% chance that the target will become burned if it is possible for that species.
Usage Gap: 5 Rounds

Approved.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Awh.. No Coffee type huh? xD; Ah well, I guess Dark will do.... Other applicable types include Poison and Grass. xP
Also, the energy was set as Varies because each type of coffee has a different effect. Varies was actually my old plans to have some types than used energy, but I scrapped those eventually, so I suppose it will be listed as N/A.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I'm afraid that signature move is just waaaaay too powerful. It does need an energy cost of some kind, but in general this attack is incredible, and wouldn't be allowed even on a pokémon that was fully evolved. Restoring 50% energy, or granting an immediate +6 speed boost at no drawback and which doesn't fade, is much more powerful than any attack in existence. Worse, you can choose which effect you want to happen at a given time, so it's not even as though there's the possibility you might not get what you want out of it.

I'm afraid there's really not much you can do but tone this down a bit; additionally, you could get slightly more powerful effects by having the effect happen at random (i.e. Twitch can't choose what kind of coffee is available).

Im bad with links. Very bad.

Okay, first of all, your bank post needs to link back to this post as well. Second, if you want a link to just your post by itself and not the entire page, find the little number in the upper right-hand corner of your post. That link points to your post and your post alone, and it's a bit more convenient for the staff trying to get you approved. Third, your math is wrong. 10 + 25 + 15 = 50, which you don't have; if you want both the Turtwig and the Chimchar then you can't afford the cloth right now.

What you'll need to do is post this team again and post your bank transaction again, and then make sure that each post contains a link to the other post. Look at what some of the other approved purchasers have done as an example.

(Also, as a quick reminder: Turtwig's ability is Overgrow, not Overgrowth.)

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I see. I thought it was somewhat balanced by being a once-per-battle move, but I understand where you're coming from. Lemme tweak a bit and see how this does~

[Twitch] Zubat (Female)

Unfortunately, it's impossible to carry more than one serving at a time, thus she may only access this move once per battle.
Strong Brew: A nice, basic cup of strong, black coffee; unimpeded by fillers and wonderfully energising. Restores 25% Energy.
Ice Mocha: A cold, creamy, refreshing chocolatey blend sure to melt the worries of the world away. Restores 30% Health. (May not be used in matches with Direct Healing banned; counts for limited direct healing counter) It still costs energy to relax the body into accelerated healing, but is assisted by the caffeine. Costs 8% energy.
Espresso: A sharp and super-strong shot of condensed caffeine; even the most attuned individual will get a jolt from this stuff. Gives an immediate +6 Speed; This speed will fade by one point every round (3 turns) until it vanishes, or is dispelled. It costs 5% energy to use this move due to the fatiguing amount of activity this blend sends drinkers into.
Espresso Latte: A slightly toned down and slower effect double-shot of Espresso; still packs a major punch, but not all at once. Grants the Speed Boost ability in addition to all other abilities for the duration of the match, causing Twitch to slowly speed up over time up to the normal cap. (Ability remains through switches; meaning Twitch will have to gain the speed back +1 at a time after switching out and back in) However, Sleep-Inducing moves have the ability to cancel the Speed Boost ability at their normal success rate. (They will still not put Twitch to sleep) Twitch will lose acquired boosts in this case. All moves used while under the effect of this move will cost an extra 1% energy after all other calculations.
Vanilla Latte: A hot, yet refreshing and creamy blend sure to make one feel ready to take on the world with it's comforting vibes. Grants +3 Defence and Special Defence at the cost of -4 Attack and Special Attack. Costs 5% energy to consume.
Exotic Brew: A bracing, strong brewed blend hailing from a remote region. It has a rare flavour and texture, and a balance of caffeine that has the strange tendency to make one feel confident and aggressive; traditionally consumed by native warriors in it's home land. Grants +3 Attack and Special Attack at the cost of -4 Defence and Special Defence. Costs 5% energy to consume/
Roulette Brew: For when her trainer just doesn't have time to make it herself, a thermos is grabbed at random before leaving for the battle right from the coffee shop. Theoretically no different than the blends Sable puts together herself, the old saying still goes; It always tastes better when somebody else makes it. When used, any one of the 6 other types of coffee will be used at a random equal chance, however the effects will be slightly stronger. Strong Brew will restore 30% energy, Iced Mocha will restore 35% Health, Espresso will have it's speed boosts lower by one every four turns instead of three, Espresso Latte will be no different, and both Vanilla Latte and Exotic Brew will grant +4 to their respective stat ups instead of +3.
However; There is a 20% chance of a bad batch, possibly made by a coffee shop newbie, or someone who just didn't care. Either way not very tasty, and if selected, the effects of this move will be weaker than their chosen counterparts. (20% Energy, 25% Health, Two turns per point of speed wear-off, 2% energy used per move instead of one, and +2 respective stat ups in respective order.)
Usage Gap: Once per battle

Hope that's a bit better. ^^;

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Nooope, it's still too powerful. For a zubat, you could probably get away with something that gave you 15% energy (standard chill being 10%; might be better to define it as "5% more than a chill", to account for the fact that some people do it differently). Up the energy cost on the health move to 10%, reduce the speed boost to +4 (incidentally, a round is made up of actions, not turns), espresso latte should cost 3% energy, remove roulette brew and make the entire attack random--either an equal chance of any one of the effects occurring, or weight them differently if you like. You can drop the chance of a bad batch occurring if you choose to do that.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Erp.. >< Only random, huh?
Well, alright. Should be even more interesting to use~ May I ask though, when she evolves later on (Say, to Crobat) will it be possible to change this move to choice? Or is that completely out of the question without MAJOR nerfs?
Either way.. Once more with feeling~

Okay, approved.

I'd say that you could remove the randomness in exchange for one level of evolution. So, the attack can improve twice, once when Twitch evolves to golbat, and again when she evolves to crobat. You can choose to have the sig improve twice in terms of the power of each of its effects or, instead, you can have it improve in power once, and then for the next level become by choice rather than at random.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

The first post says that all battle appearances and KOs are doubled while a Pokémon is holding a Soothe Bell. The description in Kusari's shop says that every battle is counted as a KO for the purposes of evolution while holding a Soothe Bell. Which is it, or is it some combination of the two?

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I meant to change that a while back, but I guess that I forgot. The soothe bell makes all battles count as KO's.

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

I would like to buy my starter team.

Sandshrew 5$
Mareep 7$
Swablu 5$
Stantler 25$

Re: Pokémon Registration Office

Oh, woops. I thought I was supposed to link to your confirmation of my starter team.

Kudos~~
