• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

If a Pokémon Counters a move that hit the damage cap, how much damage does it do back: twice the amount of capped damage, or twice the amount of damage the attack would have done if not for the cap?

Just checking: does ASB follow the in-game rule of having Electric-types be immune to paralysis and Grass-types be immune to powder/spore moves?

Draining moves still recover HP even if they hit a Substitute, right?

Yes.

How do items that grant flat percentage boosts affect multi-hit moves? Is the boost divided between the hits, or does each hit get the extra 2%?

I'm not totally clear on how held-item-induced evolutions work in ASB: can a pokémon evolve if it's holding the right held item after a battle even if it faints?

If it's sent out holding the item, it can evolve after the battle has been closed. You might need to poke Zhorken to make the evolution page available, though.

The boost is divided between the hits. I asked this question eaelier in the thread, can't link to the post now since I'm on mobile

Personally, I don't think it should be possible to target yourself with Worry Seed. Same deal as, say, not being able to poison yourself or activate your own Volt Absorb or whatever.

Based on flavor, I would say worry seed makes more sense than activating your own Poison Feal or Flash Fire or whatever, but mechanically I guess it's about the same so probably no.

In line with this, could you hit yourself with Soak? Or the move that adds Grass Type (Forest's Curse I think)

In a double battle, if a Pokémon faints by using Explosion or a recoil move, can the last opposing Pokémon to damage it get credit for the KO or does no one get the KO experience?
