RandomTyphoon vs. Dragon

No physical attacks, then, y'say? Well then, let's have an Ice Beam on the first action, and then after he Hazes, or fails to Haze or something, go go Scary Face! Finish with Toxic cos we like that.

After what felt like forever, the referee once again waved her flags, signaling the start of the round. The Chaos Engine roared in response, probably annoyed that it was late again. "Anyway, round start!" The referee yelled, ignoring the glares from the battlers. The rumble of the Chaos Engine seemed to get louder and louder. Actually, the rumble of the Chaos Engine did get louder. But that's besides the point, for the fact that -- actually, let's just say that there was a really, really, really loud rumbling noise. The ground started shaking. "Uh-oh," the referee said for the umpteenth time.

A stampede (understatement of the year) of Tauros crashed through the city streets and flowed onto the stage, instantly trampling over anyone unfortunately in the way (which was everyone). Like a huge, brown river with lots of hooves, the Tauros streamed over the battlefield. The noise of the hooves beating the ground was so loud that cries of pain from the Pokemon being stepped on was completely drowned out.

Ed'Rashtekaresket had tried to flop out of the way, but there was so much Tauros that any attempt at escaping will probably end up unsuccessful. He wasn't fast enough to dodge the flying hooves either -- instead, quite a few of them kicked him straight in the head. The world turned into a river of brown, and he couldn't quite figure out where the Squirtle was -- not like he cared much anymore, for the pain from being stepped on by a 200 pound bull is not exactly something easily ignored. He focused his energy and let fly a beam of pure coldness in a random direction, hoping that it will hit the target.

The beam hit, yes, but not exactly on target. The unfortunate Tauros in the path whinnied with surprise as they found themselves half-frozen with frost. Even more chaos ensured as the bulls tried to scramble out of the way, running into each other. At least they now stayed clear away from the Carvanha. The chaos wasn't that great for the Squirtle, however, as Alias found himself getting repeatedly stepped on by the raging bulls. Although the thin layer of metal from the Iron Defense helped to ease his injuries a bit, it was getting hard to move, especially when whenever a Tauros kicks, the metal hardens, making it hard to move. It was also pretty much impossible to see the Carvanha in this mess -- everything around him was brown. Alias decided to test his luck and Headbutt in a random direction, hoping to somehow go through the wall of bulls and hit ed'Ra-somethingoranother. The Squirtle charged forward and ran straight into an unlucky Tauros. The Tauros jumped in surprise and ran away, stepping on Alias for good measure, and blended into the other Tauros.

The stream of Tauros gradually lessened until instead of a huge brown river, one can actually see the individual bulls. Because there was actually space to maneuver, the Tauros ran around the pokemon instead of over them. Ed'Rashtekaresket looked about, sighing in relief now that he's not getting stepped on by overgrown cattle, and waited. He's supposed to attack after the Haze...

Alias opened his mouth and breathed out a cloud of water vapor that settled heavily over the whole field. The Haze was cold, and the effect was somehow refreshing -- his urge to hibernate dissipated, and his leg wound did not hurt as much anymore, although the metallic substance protecting him seemed to have melted away. A few large, brown shapes could be seen crashing through the thick fog, but that was about the only thing Alias could see. He was lucky, too, for the Haze obscured his vision and prevented him from seeing the piranha sneering at him.

Feeling much better already, now that no large cow-things are stepping on him, Alias focused and once again secreted the strange metallic liquid that had once covered him. The protective metal covered his whole body, and just in time, too, for Tauros crashed through the mist and kicked him on his shell before bounding away. The metal instantly hardened, protecting the Squirtle. Ed'Rashtekaresket, however, wasn't so lucky; a Tauros kicked him in the fin and sent him sliding across the battlefield. Although it hurt quite a lot, getting kicked had one advantage -- the Carvanha could now see the vague shape of what looked like a Squirtle through the mist. He opened his mouth and spat out a horrible mixture of poison and this morning's breakfast at the Squirtle, and was only satisfied when he heard a scream of pain as the Toxic sank into the unsuspecting Alias. At least the turtle's poisoned now...

With an unseen wave of the flags, all the Tauros somehow disappeared. The Haze, however, still loomed over the field, covering everything. "Round END!" The referee shouted for effect, seeing that nobody could actually see it in the foggy conditions.

"Roounnnd Starrrrtttt!" The referee yelled, hoping that the pokemon can hear, now that the whole arena was covered by a thick fog. An all-too-familiar rumble sounded, and the not-neon-pink-anymore school bus honked twice for good measure.

Ed'Rashtekaresket couldn't help but feel dejected when the Chaos Engine started again. The Chaos Engine had hurt more than it helped, if it helped at all, and he was not too happy to hear the familiar sound warning of impending doom. He squinted through the mist, trying to find the Squirtle. It was hard to see anything through the thick fog. On the other hand, Alias started glowing at his command, focusing his energy onto getting rid of the annoying poison. His body glowed brightly as the poison was flushed out of his system, and ed'Rashtekaresket was (finally) able to pinpoint where the Squirtle was. A curtain of water surrounded the Carvanha, and he flopped on the ground awkwardly before finally gathering enough momentum to do a half-decent Waterfall. Ed'Rashtekaresket smashed into the Squirtle and managed to topple him over, before losing what little momentum he had and ended up flopping on the ground awkwardly. The piranha briefly wondered about what the Chaos Engine was doing -- nothing seemed to have happened yet, and...

...The arena started to glow. A calming energy seeped through the ground, and Alias and ed'Rashtekaresket suddenly felt much more relaxed and refreshed. Although the glow was starting to dissipate the heavy fog, it felt very nice. Alias peered at the Carvanha and shrugged. He felt much more energized now, and it was nice. He summoned a ring of water around him, feeling the nice, cool liquid sooth his wounds. Ed'Rashtekaresket was definitely not pleased. He felt energized, yes, but the Squirtle was getting healed while he's left here to dry out! The Carvanha puffed up and started bragging, trying to annoy the heck out of Alias and make himself feel better. Now that the fog was much thinner, Alias could see the Carvanha's tactics perfectly. And he was not pleased. Alias glared at ed'Rashtekaresket, growling lightly. How dare the stupid fish insult him like that! Ugh!

Alias seriously wanted to rip the Carvanha into little tiny pieces right now, but his trainer said not to. Ugh! He has to let the stupid fish attack him first! Ed'Rashtekaresket shrank back a bit from the Squirtle, who was starting to foam at the mouth, but attacked anyway. Best to get this over with... He focused ice-cold energy into his mouth until his tiny, sharp teeth were covered with a layer of ice and flopped forward, before biting down, hard, on the Squirtle's leg. It happened to be the same leg that he had Crunched down on before, and, although a thin layer of metal quickly hardened to protect it, the chilly energy sunk through the metal and straight into the wound. Alias screamed in pain and flailed out, kicking the Carvanha straight in the stomach and sending him flying across the field. The fish soon vanished into the fog, but the Squirtle could hear the heavy thud when it fell onto the ground and cries of pain. Revenge! The soothing water swirled around him, and Alias felt slightly better, even though his left leg is probably completely useless now.

The referee narrowly ducked the flying fish and waved its flags even though nobody will see them through the Haze. "Round end!" It yelled just as the ground stopped glowing.

For this round, just dig down this turn if you can (like, if there's no floating and with access to land thick enough to be diggable and yawp. Whole deal), if you can't, ice beam. If you are under the ground, just chill and rest, if not, focus punch and dynamicpunch(how the fuck do you spell that)

Dig down(no coming up)/Ice Beam~Chill/Focus Punch~Rest/DynamicPunch

oh yeah and since this is a half-assed attack order and whatnot due to stuff, yer getting a walking stick or healing powdering whatever after this battle for that le-*zzzzz*

Rrrr, don't let him go and dig away without punishment, Ed :o I don't know if Squirtles can breathe underwater or what *probably but hopefully not* but why don't you rocket a Hydro Pump down that hole *since we got this energy haha*? If you can't since you need a source of water, shoot an Ice Beam down that there hole :o If he didn't get to Dig for whatever reason, you're probably floating or whatever and should go with an Icy Wind yes. If he's under the ground, you should just wait for that Chill.. and THEN SPITE IT OFF >:o

If he's not underground, Dark Pulse is nice. Keep that crazy Squirtle away from you for as long as you can; hopefully he'll take a bit more energy running/moving towards you. Blast blast blast him away yes! Finally, Water Pulse if he's in the ground, Dark Pulse otherwise.

Round Thirteen... The two Pokemon looked about nervously. Thirteen was considered an unlucky number in a lot of countries, and they still did not trust the Chaos Engine. The referee did not seem to mind the unlucky round number though as it waved its flags (which have, for some miraculous reason, stopped changing shapes) "Round Start!" The referee yelled, the red flags almost invisible in the mist. Almost, but not quite. The fog had thinned out quite a bit now, and, although visibility was still not that great, it wasn't as bad as before. The Chaos Engine rumbled in response, and ed'Rashtekaresket sighed in annoyance. Here goes nothing...

Alias looked about murderously. He had already took this great, annoying, painful bite from the stupid fish and now he has to run away and Dig??? This is ridiculous. Ignoring the commands, Alias charged towards the Carvanha, ready to rip the fish apart. However, his rage prevented him from seeing the small dent in the ground, and the Squirtle tripped, banging his head on the hard, wooden floor.

Wait, wooden floor? Since when did...

The neon pink school bus (since when did it turn back to pink?) honked excitedly.

Oh.

Ed'Rashtekaresket, by then, had finished charging up the icy energy and breathed out a burst of frigid cold air at the Squirtle, who was flailing on the ground madly. The Icy Wind formed a thin layer of ice over the Squirtle, successfully hindering his movements even more. Healing water swirling, Alias scramble up, hissing angrily and lunged at the Carvanha again, his rage getting the better of him. This time, he slipped on the icy, wooden floor and fell, once again hitting his head on the floor. Ed'Rashtekaresket used this time to fire out his Dark Pulse. Filled with the Carvanha's annoyance and hatred for Marmite, the black energy beam hit the Squirtle and effectively sent him sliding backwards on the ground, now slippery with the thin layer of ice. Alias was almost completely covered by the Haze when he stopped sliding, but once can still see his vague form through the fog.

Alias picked himself up and gnashed his teeth, even more annoyed now. Tripping twice in a row had caused a massive headache, but he could at least think slightly clearer now. Slightly soothed by the Aqua Ring, his fist glowed brightly as he hobbled forward, careful not to put too much weight on his bad leg, and headed towards the Carvanha, intent on beating the guts out of the fish. Ed'Rashtekaresket looked nervously at the angry Squirtle, who was hobbling at quite a fast pace for a half lame, half frozen, and half mad turtle. However, Alias still wasn't fast enough, for ed'Rashtekaresket was able to finish charging his second beam of evil thoughts and sent it flying at the Squirtle. Alias was definitely not happy when he was hit with another Marmite Hate Beam, and not just because that he loved Marmite. The beam sent him sliding backwards, and Alias lost his focus and missed, his DynamicPunch making a neat crater on the ground.

A wave of the flag and the ground turned back into... whatever it was made of before. Alias sighed, feeling the Aqua Ring sooth his wounds, and glared at the Carvanha.

The round started with, as usual, the referee yelling "Round Start!" and waving the referee flags. One would think that there is no need for it to state the obvious and yell "round start" or, really, anything at all, for the league had no rules on how a referee should start a round, but the referee seemed intent on yelling something for some strange reason or another. Either way, the round started, and the all-too-familiar rumble of the Chaos Engine started again. This time, however, the rumble sounded strange, or at least stranger than usual. There was a certain, almost bell-like quality to it...

That could be due to the fact that a bell was ringing, and not just any bell: it was a school bell, the sound that shows the beginning of class, homework, tests, lectures, school lunches, and basically everything a person can hate or will hate once he or she or it learns about it. Alias and ed'Rashtekaresket found themselves sitting (or, in ed'Rashtekaresket's case, lying) in a chair in a classroom, right next to each other. There were several rows of desks and chairs in the well-lit classroom, all lined up in neat rows, and they were all empty. A teacher that looked suspiciously like the referee with glasses was standing on a slightly raised platform on the front of the classroom, writing something in chalk on the blackboard. A normal, yellow school bus could be seen parked outside the classroom in a deep fog.It engine seemed to be on.

"... And that's how you do the problem," the teacher explained, tapping the chalk on the board. It turned to face its two students. "Now, do you guys understand?"

The squirtle and carvanha blinked slowly and carefully exchanged looks. Ed'Rashtekaresket moved first. Slapping his tail hard against the chair, the Carvanha shot out of his seat... and flew straight into the ceiling. Thankfully, the ceiling had been made with the crappy, flimsy, sometimes-turns-brown-for-seemingly-no-reason-at-all material school ceilings are made of, and ed'Rashtekaresket went straight through the panels without problems. He crashed into a few pipes, turned on the sprinklers, set off the fire alarm, as well as made another neat fish-shaped hole in the building as he flew through the roof. Panicking students and teachers could be seen running out of the school from his high vantage point. All in a day's work, ed'Rashtekaresket thought to himself as he continued to rise.

Alias growled. That stupid fish had managed to escape before he can beat the crap out of it! Ugh! He stood up from his chair, ready to attack, but his injured leg suddenly gave out from underneath him and the Squirtle crashed onto the ground, knocking over a few desks and chairs. The Aqua Ring swirled around him and faded, leaving him feel kind of cheated. The Squirtle growled again and stood up. The fish should be coming down soon now.... Revenge will happen a bit later. Alias focused and solidified a wall on energy into a glowing, protective dome around him, waiting for the Carvanha to come falling down.

"Claaaaasss! What are you doing! I told you, there will be no fighting in the classroom! That was the reason you guys got detention in the first place!" The teacher yelled angrily. "You guys have just earned a trip to the principal's office. Now come with me! And Ed, get down from there! You'll have to pay for the damage later." Then, under its breath, "sheesh, kids these days..."

Ed'Rashtekaresket had heard the commands and knew what to do -- a Double Team Bounce, was it? He angled himself in midair and took aim, before realizing that he had no way of knowing where the Squirtle is now that his view is obscured by the school roof. He would just have to take a chance... Ed'Rashtekaresket closed his eyes and let himself fall, feeling the momentum build up. His shape seemed to blur, and there was soon five other Carvanhas following behind him. Ed'Rashtekaresket crashed head on through the roof, his clones following neatly, and, to his surprise, hit a glowing green dome. He can see Alias hissing furiously through the energy wall, and as he and his clone bounced off the Protect, Alias let the energy fade away and roared, his fist drawn back. He ran forward at a Carvanha and punched furiously, only for his attack to go straight through as one of the Carvanha doubles disappeared. Five other Carvanhas looked smugly at the Squirtle while inwardly thanking that the attack had missed.

The world blurred for a split second, and Alias and the five ed'Rashtekareskets found themselves back at the normal battlefield. The referee waved its flags, signifying the end of the round.A few wisps of the leftover Haze floated around lazily, but they were of no bother anymore.

It is a normal day. The sun is ... not shining (which is normal considering the fact that it is night right now), the referee is reffing, the Pokemon are battling, and the Chaos Engine is... Let's not talk about the Chaos Engine, shall we? There are more normal things to talk about right now, and the Chaos Engine is not one of them. Let's, instead, talk about the huge river of chocolate we're currently floating in. It is very brown and it smells like chocolate, of course. I am to believe that it is milk chocolate, although it may contain some other kinds of chocolate since there are occasional swirls of cream and dark brown in the river.

I am not quite sure why I am currently acting as a narrator for this Pokemon (did I say that right?) battle, but I suppose it is a normal thing to do under these circumstances. The referee seemed to be waving his or hers or its (I still do not quite understand the gender thing. How does it work again? I suppose I'll just stick to its from now on, but that might offend someone... What to do, what to do... And where was I? Oh yes...) referee flag in frustration. Or at least I'm pretty sure it was frustration.

The red and blue and yellow fish seem kind of unhappy in the river. I thought fish are supposed to like swimming, but I suppose since these are Pokemon, it is only natural for them to behave differently. Anyway, the fish is now taking aim at the blue turtle thing. Now it opened its mouth and a huge stream of water shot out of its mouth. The stream of water is heading towards the turtle at a pretty fast speed. The turtle does not dodge and the stream hits, sending sprays of water droplets in all directions. There would be a nice rainbow if the sun is shining, but since it is not, we will not talk about that. Instead, I will tell you about how the turtle is crying in pain for the water (probably salty. I can't figure out another reason the turtle would be hurt, unless there are rocks or poison hidden in the stream of water. Perhaps there is... Meanwhile, I will assume that there is not and the attack was a powerful jet of salt water. Ahem, back on topic...) has gotten into its leg wound. Anyway, the turtle collapses and sinks into the river of chocolate. It does not surface for some time.

The referee waves a flag; the chocolate river disappears, and a red beam of light shoots out from a small sphere in one of the trainers' hands. The red beam hits the collapsed turtle in the field, and the turtle disappears in a flash of similar red light. The fish looks quite smug, but is also hit by a red beam of light and disappears. It seems like the match is over.

And then the referee kicks me on the side. That hurt.

Knocked Out!

The two trainers and referee meet up in the middle of the battlefield to shake hands and go through the formalities. The referee hands out the cash, and, one by one, the battlers left. The referee takes the key out of its beret and turns off the familiar rumbling sound, before leaving, probably to its next battle. The arena seems oddly empty without the chaos of the battle...

Perhaps I should start reffing too. I wonder if the authorities will accept a neon pink school bus?

----

And so the round ends, and everyone's happy. Maybe besides Alias, because he still has this huge gash on his leg that will probably be quite painful to heal. The referee whistles happily and heads back to the Referee Headquarters while pocketing its cash, completely not noticing the fact that a neon pink school bus was following it.

Dragon gets $16, RandomTyphoon gets $6, the disappeared Empoleon gets $5, and I get $5. Ashglade gets 1 exp. point, ed'Rashtekaresket gets 3 exp. points, Pera gets 2 exp. points, and Alias gets 1 exp. point. Good game, you guys! It was fun reffing.
