• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Referee Headquarters

Apparently I managed to overwrite at least some people's reffings from late November. I've added the noted ones in.

However, L'il Dwagie, two of those reffings are from back in September, which means that you should have been (and were) paid for them already. The third one is the one actually paid for this week; I grabbed the wrong link by mistake. So, the amount you were paid should be correct; it's just the link that was bad. Corrected now.

Oh wow.. did I miss them then or is my memory THAT bad..
However those two I already got payment for are rounds 3 and 4, while the newest one you linked is 6, which still means round 5 wasn't payed out; so I believe it's 14 then.

Added, but you really should wait for confirmation on these things before taking them to the bank.

Trying and failing for novice again.

1 vs 1
One out at a time
DQ: Three days
Restrictions: No OHKO moves, no healing moves, 3 chills per Pokémon.
Damage Caps: None
Arena: Battlefield
A completely featureless square block of granite stands on a huge stone column that rises from the waters of a calm sea in a way which in no way resembles a phallus. No siree. The Pokémon do battle on top of the block; a mystical force prevents anything from falling over the side. Two Pokémon will enter the arena - only one will leave victorious. How on earth they leave afterwards is up for debate, however.

Round XYZ

The round begins with Stairmaster closing his eyes and focusing. The jewels on his head shine slightly before a silhouette of a Tauros appears infront of him. The silhouette then starts to become solid, casting it's own shadow. Suddenly,it takes the colours of a Tauros, becoming an exact replica of Stairmaster. Stairmaster hides behind his substitute, stopping damage coming his way. Yin looks at this new Stairmaster with a bit of confusion. She thinks of her commands, and then starts shouting at Stairmaster. "Hey, are you so scared you need to hide behind a Substitute? Chicken! come out and fight like a Mon!" She shouts at him, trying to aggrevate him. The taunts seemingly work, as Both Stairmaster and his clone, seem to move slightly, blowing steam out of their noses.

[Yin -0H, -1E][Stairmaster -0H, -7E]

Stairmaster starts to charge up an attack, getting ready to charge at at Yin with some might. Yin sees this and runs behind the Tauros without him seeing, before striking him and his substitute with a suprise series of slashes aimed at both of them. The slashes seem to hit a delicate spot on Stairmaster and his clone, cusing more damage than usual on them. Most of the slashes hit the substitute, when it suddenly dissolves into dust, causing the last few to hit Stairmaster. Stairmaster starts to see red, his breathing becoming heavy, eyes becoming narrow in his rage. Being hurt by these slashes, Stairmaster charges all of the rage and pain into his horns, which become covered in a dark aura, and charges at Yin, sending her sliding back slightly.

[Yin -7H, -5E][Stairmaster -1H, -5E]

Stairmaster starts to gain an orange coloured aura around himself, charging up a more powerful attack, when yet again Yin comes and attacks from behind with another series of slashes. These cause a considereabl amount of damage, but does not get rid of the charge of the attakc. Yin runs back to her original posittion, only to see Stairmaster jump into the air, and dive bomb down straight at her, a sizeable aura of orange and yellow surrounding him. The flying tauros collapses into her, creating a big eexplosion and massive crater in the middle of the column. The tauros stands up, when the poison in it's bloodstream takes it's affect, causing a little bit of damage to the bull.

[Yin -20H, -5E][Stairmaster -9H, -10E]

Stairmaster paws the rough, unforgiving granite beneath his hooves, wondering how the Reverse World he'll manage a substitute. The rocky terrain isn't very malleable... Ah, well, he'll have to do it the old-fashioned way.As his opponent watches, inscrutable, the Tauros snorts his nostrils and then exhales, along with carbon dioxide, a good portion of life force. The formless mass of energy quickly casts itself into the vague shape of a bull, pawing the ground and shaking its head almost cutely.

Rather impressed with his work laid out in front of him, Stairmaster is surprised to hear his normally collected opponent giggling, of all things.

He calls that ugly mess a substitute? The Absol Taunts mercilessly, cackling with manic glee. Well, it least it looks stronger than the real thing! Stairmaster is utterly infuriated by her remark. He had made a perfectly good substitute, especially under the circumstances! Who was she to judge his creation? Gah, it just makes the bull Pokémon so irritated...

Hrmm, Payback? Yin hasn't really done[i/] anything yet, so it would be a bit pointless... But his trainer knows best, and besides, that blade-headed bimbo had insulted his work! Allowing a raging Dark-type aura to envelop his front hooves, the Tauros gallops full-tilt at the opposing Dark-type.

Here, Yin makes her move. Her paw also enveloped in a sinister Dark miasma, she moves to slam it into her freight train of an adversary. But, as she nears Stairmaster, the Substitute she had mocked not moments before leaps in front of the blow, taking it head-on.

Stairmaster, snort-laughing at the irony, slams his pointed hooves into Yin. The attack seems to work well enough, but the bull has a feeling that it would have proved more powerful on a non-Dark-type opponent, or if there had been malice towards Yin more immediate than that caused by her Taunting.

Stairmaster: -11hp (subbed), -5e Yin: -4hp, -6e

As Yin groans, attempting (and soon succeeding) at standing, Stairmaster snorts and shakes his head, pawing the ground. He backtracks somewhat, to provide room for him to make his charge. His Substitute, now barely recognizable, copies his movements as best it can.

Meanwhile, the beaten-up Absol readies another Sucker Punch, hoping to Mew and Arceus and all the other legendaries that it will work this time. As Stairmaster, orange energy flowing around him, begins to charge yet again at Yin, the Dark-type flings a shadowy punch his way, leaping at the oncoming Tauros. Yet again, the Substitute jumps nimbly to protect its master, blocking the punch in its entirety.

For Yin, however, there is a silver lining; not only does the doppleganger melt away in midair after taking the attack, but her mad leap at its creator has shot her over him. Meanwhile, the bovine creature overshoots, flying at top speed past his intended target.

Halting at a heart-stoppingly-small distance from the edge of the arena, Stairmaster looks behind himself, his chest heaving. What had happened? He hadn't hit the accursed Absol, and his wonderful Substitute seems to have vanished! He would stomp his hoof if he wasn't so exhausted... Adding injury to insult, a nausea-inducing wave of discomfort and pain floods the Tauros' body as the poison in his system takes its toll.
