[SIGNUPS/OOC] The Land of After

Name: Wiraq Trocad

Gender: ♂

Race: Helelian

Age: 37

Appearance: As a whole, Wiraq is a lean Heleian, and stands at about five feet six inches. Wiraq's chest and back are covered with black feathers, and said feathers even run slightly on the arms, which are otherwise thin and skeletal, with each ending in a hand with talon-like claws. He also has no feathers on his legs, they are instead a stone-color. His feet also have five talons on each foot, and his head is the approximate shape of a vulture's sans a beak. He has pale yellow eyes, and generally wears a black long-coat with a raised hood.

Personality: Wiraq is very methodical and down to earth, with a short and to the point outlook on life. Though this makes him come off as impatient and rude, he doesn't care, since he doesn't consider decent social skills necessary for someone like him. It's also because of that that he usually only talks to others when he has a job to do, and not for idle talking. The sole exception to this is Krenax, but even then, the two rarely have a genuine friendly conversation

Abilities: Wiraq is a very skilled climber, has very strong eyesight due to his similarities to a vulture, and is capable of manifesting light and darkness energy as a long-range attack, and can fire them as said attack from his hands, which is his preferred method of attacking. If he does end up in a melee combat, he'll use his talons as an attack.

Companion: Krenax, an intelligent white bat the approximate size of a crow with red eyes. Krenax wants to learn the secrets of Wiraq's powers, which is the sole reason he follows him around

Biography: Wiraq doesn't really remember his life prior to the age of 16, and his first memory is waking up abandoned in the middle of Tatramork, with the thought on his mind being his name. He spent several years attempting to track down anyone with a possible connection to him, and in some cases, he was offered information in exchange for killing another Helelian a human, or an animal. While all of his attempts led to dead ends, he began to realize that there was a life to be made for a "hired dagger" as he put it, and began to take whatever dangerous jobs were available, establishing himself as quite a competent mercenary (though somewhere along the way he stopped caring about his past and simply desired to continue his life as a merc). His various jobs have taken him to all of the cities, and he has just finished one job, and is now heading to Hiimelgard to find another.

Other: Is Mother Maria related to Ave Maria? Also, are mercenaries allowed in this RP?

Name: Halan Anadyr
Gender: ♂
Race: Helelian
Age: 35
Appearance: Halan is a cross breed of a Golden Retriever and a Wolf, making him a fairly large and fluffy blonde mutt that stands at 6’6”. He has pale blue eyes and longer fur at the back of his head that drapes over his shoulder. He has sizable wolf ears, the tips folded down from the golden retriever in him. On one ear is a trio of silver rings, a silver ear cuff on the other. Around his neck is a dulled silver collar with red stones set in it. A thinner necklace resting under the collar, a silver cross with a small blue stone set in it as a pendent. He wears a long blue coat that ends at his heels, worn black pants tucked into thick black boots beaten with time.

He doesn’t wear a shirt under the open coat, the cross visible on his broad blond chest. He is tall and solid in build. His colouring is darker along his back, lighter along his belly except for a small trail of the darker and longer fur from the groin to the middle of the belly, the longer fur curling over the waist of his pants a bit.

Personality: Halan is a very silent man, not out of shyness or awkwardness, but out of the choice of not wanting to say much unless there is reason to speak. As a silent type, not many can form a opinion of him that doesn’t include the words ‘cold’ and ‘unmoving expression’. Not many have seen him shift his expression from the usual indifference, other than those that are quite close to him.

Under the cold indifference, he is a calm and peaceful man, enjoying the time he takes away from his home into the cold surroundings when hunting. He enjoys the solitude, allowing himself to ponder the state of the world around him and the way things work. A spiritualist at heart, he feels at home in the silent tundra of the wild snow lands, believing that it give him access to understanding the spirit world better in the lonely cold.

Abilities: Halan has based his magic of ice and freezing winds, using his magic to immobilize and hold his prey to allow better access to the kill points when hunting. He can and would use the same tactic on an enemy in hopes of convincing them to give up. If said enemy refuses to give up and proves to be a great danger, he will encase them in ice and end their life.

He is skilled with dual daggers, preferring close range weapons to long range when hunting, feeling that it brings more to the hunt when pursuing and attacking close to the prey.

Companion: Edi the Slitherface. He is a odd creature none the less, finding his way into the cold regions of Isenord and promptly almost freezes to death. While feeling his blood run cold, a long shadow feel over him. He was picked up by Halan and draped over the Helelian’s neck and tucked under the thick blue coat for warmth. Ever since that fateful day, he has remained around Halan’s neck, feeding off of the magic of the mutt and staying warm against his fur.

Biography: He was born and raised in Isenord, he often would stray from his family and sit out in the wilds for hours at a time, losing himself in thought and mystery. As he grew, he became larger due to his wolf father’s genes and more silent, falling into long strains of silence that often made his family wonder if he was ill or slow minded. The theories about his intelligence quickly died when he showed great intellect and interest in old books, as well as the thoughts on his health when he showed to have good health for his age.

As he grew older, he caught the attention of a young Husky woman. As indifferent as he tried to be to her charms, he couldn’t help but chase after her when she played hard to get, returning the favour to make her chase him back. After a few years of this game of “catch me”, they finally came together and became mates.

Other: Mother Maria. There, it has been added. Also, that there Husky girl pregnant with twins? That is Halan’s mate. No touchy or he’ll eat your face.

I should be able to finish my form soon, but I have one question first: what are the limitations on how Animalistic the Heleians can be? Can they have wings, stingers, or any other such parts, or are they just anthropomorphic animals that can have tails?

It can vary from Helalian to Helelian, but just feel your forward. I think you can tell yourself if the character is too animalistic.

But to answer your question, they can have wings, and stingers if they happen to be bugs but honestly that'd be kinda creepy. To put it in another way, I expect this, not this. If you design your character like the latter then you might as well have a human character instead.

I'm working on the main thread right now, it should be in less than half an hour.

Name: Sayro

Gender: ♂

Race: Helelian

Age: 20

Appearance: A rather tall and slim person. He has a very fine, white fur, which can hardly be seen from a distance. He has a humanlike haircut consisting of long silver hair. A pair of white dog ears stick out between the hair. His body is very humanlike in general, apart from the claws on his hands and feet. He wears very wide, red trousers with a similar shirt. (I'm not sure if the Helelians wear clothes. If they don't, Sayro wears them because humans do.)

Personality: He's rather childish, very violent for a Helelian and quite selfish. Don't think bad of him though, because it's all because of how he was raised. Though having a hard time making friends, the one or two friends he makes are sure to find a good companion in him.

Abilities: He is physically very strong, especially compared to other Helelians. He knows some basic magic, but hardly ever uses it for something else than powering up his punches.

Biography: When still a kid, he loved playing hide-and-seek. During one of his games, he hid himself on the wagon of passerby human merchants. The humans left town without him noticing, and so he ended up at a human tribe. Bad luck caused the tribe to be one that had a massive grudge against Helelians, only present at the town for the money, and the only thing keeping them from killing little Sayro was the fact that he was only 3 years old. They decided to kill him once he became 13, as well as creating the unspoken rule of treating Sayro as badly as possible. He lived a very rough life, often getting in fights with human kids. The tribe did notice that he was quite useful for all kinds of things, so they didn't kill him. Living for 10 years in fear of getting killed when growing up, together with being hated by everyone made him into the selfish person he is now.

Other: Maria. Thingy. The password. The password that lets you know I read the rules. That Maria.
