Round 7 Begin!

Bromine knows that her opponent is going down this round, and she's determined to make it as soon as possible. She fuels her fire as much as she can without hurting herself and then releases a massive plume of fire that envelops Hoopla, to the accompaniment of screaming. As she lets the fire die away, she notices a wonderful scent; indeed, Hoopla is emitting a flower fragrance that's just slightly tinged with energy, and it seems to be doing her a world of good: the burn is crusting over, then vanishing, healing at an enormous rate. Bromine notes that burning Hoppip seems to release a beneficial substance.

Her internal fire still enormous, she looses another jet of flame at Hoopla, hoping to release the sweet scent once more. Her hopes are in vain, though: Hoopla is simply concentrating, trying to remove all unnecessary thoughts from her mind in the interest of boosting her mental defense. She succeeds at the cost of a small portion of her battle knowledge; still, she hopes it will be a sacrifice that will lead her to victory.

Her hopes, however, are in vain. Bromine releases another huge plume of fire that, despite Hoopla's efforts, is just too much for her; scorched and blackened, she falls to the ground, unconscious. As the Fire Spin dies away, Sonic Rainboom recalls her Pokémon and considers what to send out next.

Round 8 Begin!

Sonic Rainboom's replacement Pokémon, after a moment's consideration, is a Litwick. Makes sense, with its Flash Fire and the fact that only it and the Munna aren't weak to fire-type moves. The candle-like blob looks around and inspects the arena briefly, but then focusses on the task at hand: her opponent, the Vulpix.

Bromine moves quickly, scraping madly at the ground, which seems destined to have no effect. A few seconds, though, and the ground yields, Bromine practically falling through it and disappearing. Meanwhile, Flitwick's eye glows bright with energy and her body suddenly shrinks drastically, the flame remaining comically huge in comparison for a few seconds before dying down to an appropriate size. This much completed, she smiles in satisfaction; it'll be that much harder for Bromine to hit her. Speak of the devil, though: she feels the ground quake briefly and then it seemingly explodes underneath her. She's tossed aside like a ragdoll, and Bromine crawls out of the newly appeared hole; she shakes her head to try and get some of the dirt off, but then turns toward her opponent, who she notes was much bigger the last time she saw her. Whatever, she thinks, it just means that the Litwick won't be hitting her so hard.

Now Bromine opts for the defensive. Her eyes take on a green glow as she channels her energy into a shield, which appears as a translucent green hemisphere around her, extraordinarily similar to Hoopla's earlier one. Flitwick, meanwhile, begins cooncentrating her ghostly energies, beginning to bend the very flow of time. Ignoring the fact that she's probably incurring Dialga's wrath, she distorts and bends the local spacetime until everything is completely reversed, leaving the distorted and broken time to flow in a suitably warped manner.

This seems to have paid off: Flitwick is able to move before Bromine, drawing toxins from her strange form into her mouth; she shudders at the taste, then spits the foul goop at Bromine. Unfortunately, it fails to meet its mark: it hits Bromine's shield with a squishy splat, leaving a glob of goo slowly sliding down the shield like some kind of slug. Bromine looks at it with disgust, then curls up into a sleeping position and takes a short nap. With Flitwick looking at her increduously - who goes off to sleep in the middle of a battle? - she naps peacefully, allowing her body's natural recovery processes to restore her. Though her nap takes several minutes, the mangling of time makes it seem like mere seconds to the others before she stands upright, stretches and then returns to glaring at Flitwick.

Could you please check the energy levels for Bromine? They don't seem right, with all of the calculations (55-7-3+10=55)
 
I believe that you should move later, Bromine, since a certain portion of space-time is distorted right now. That does carry with it a few advantages, so listen up.

With this in effect, Payback should be your most powerful attack. So let's use it once, then Confuse Ray.

Finally, Psych Up, so that you have all of the stat gains she has.

Round 9 Begin!

This bizarre spacetime distortion, luckily for Flitwick, means that she's faster than her opponent. So she gets the first move, splitting up several compounds in her body and mixing them into a foul, mucousoid substance, which she coats herself with. Her flame sputters briefly for a second, unable to easily burn the substance but then returns to full strength. As though moving through treacle, Bromine runs towards Flitwick, cloaking herself in a shroud of dark energy as she goes; she slams into the Litwick with surprising force, the dark energy searing and burning her.

Squealing, Flitwick tries to get rid of the pain; she begins blocking out portions of her mind in an attempt to make it hurt less. She is fairly successful in this regard, and the pain begins to fade away. Bromine, meanwhile, coughs and chokes violently for a few seconds before spitting up a small, glowing orb of light, which drifts over to Flitwick and bobs around in a manner most distracting.

Suddenly, Flitwick shakes her head and pulls her attention away from the orb, before making an orb of her own. A purple orb of energy charges up in front of her and then launches towards Bromine, weaving erratically as it flies through the air but honing in on her and striking her in the side, exploding in a burst of energy. She cringes and whimpers, but then recovers; she extends her mind towards Flitwick, both their eyes taking on a harsh yellow glow as Bromine's body adjusts to match Flitwick's.

Round 10 Begin!

Flitwick begins the round by hiccuping violently for a few seconds, while Bromine simply watches in amusement. Then the hiccups' cause is revealed: Flitwick belches up a surprisingly large cloud of light grey smoke, which floats over to Bromine and engulfs her, searing her skin and eliminating her strength boosts. In retailiation, Bromine looses a massive pulse of dark energy which goes straight through Flitwick, burning her from the inside out.

She squeals, then begins another attack: holding up her arms, she charges up a ball of ghostly energy and launches it at Bromine. It explodes on impact and engulfs her briefly in darkness, and she retaliates by striking Flitwick with another pulse of dark energy. Unfortunately for Bromine, it is at this point when her Safeguard shield fades away, leaving her once again unprotected.

Glaring, Flitwick begins shouting insults at her opponent. She couples this with a hypnotic suggestion, and it takes hold: all Bromine can think about all of a sudden is tearing that Litwick to shreds. To that end, she fires off yet another Dark Pulse, and is rewarded with the satisaction of hearing Flitwick scream.

Suddenly, time unpinches itself and returns to normal. Apparently, Dialga has figured out that something was wrong.

Round 11 Begin!

Bromine doesn't hesitate before darting forwards in a sudden burst of speed. She grins cruelly, anticipating smashing into her opponent; instead, though, she passes straight through the semisolid body and crashes into the ground on the other side, dazed by the impact. While she attempts to recover, Flitwick begins exuding the same foul substance as before, her coat of slime growing thicker by the second.

Having just about come to her senses now, Bromine's next move is to repeat the exact same ineffective technique, with identical results. This time she actually has it worse off, though, because her opponent is going on the offensive: she charges up a small but concentrated ball of shadows and launches it at the back of Bromine's head, where it explodes in a dark shadowy burst, leaving Bromine with a significant headache.

The final action of the round plays out in exactly the same way as the previous one: Bromine charges straight through her opponent and falls flat on her face before being hit in the back of the head by a ball of shadows. As Bromine picks herself up, dazed, she feels her irrational, Flitwick-focused rage fading away.
