• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Unexplored Jungle

Tsunami

Leviathan, LORD OF MADNESS!
You enter the guard house and throw some coins on the table with the guard. He grunts and allows you through. Once inside the jungle, you see a sign that says that any unexplored places are to be reported immediately, with an unnamed reward being given. You see three paths. One is covered in dense growth, and looks like it will be difficult to bypass without a machete or a Pokemon with Cut. One is well troden, and the sounds of many bugs comes from the path. You barely see the third, a dark, poorly lit path that seems strangely haunted. A different man stand beside each path. One holds a Machete, one holds a Net, and one holds a Lantern. Which path shall you take?

Three dollars gets you in, and the rent items are a dollar apiece, but greatly increase your chances of finding an uncommon Pokemon and increase your chances of running into a Rare.

Also, this is how I compute Pokemon.

Dice Roll: 1-99>>Pokemon/Item on table.
Dice Roll: 100>>Risk of New Area Discovered.
Dice Roll: Natural 100(as in, a 100 without the bonuses)>>Risk of Shiny>>Natural 20>>90-99>>001-493, all Legends are Dittos>>001-493, discounting Dittos, if Ditto.

Hey, dude, how about saving some of the rare Pokemon for the others, 'kay? Of course, you could pass this up...

You rent the machete, slashing your way through the dense undergrowth. You trip, suddenly, finding a pair of vines around your ankles. They hoist you up, and you are staring into the bell of a male Weepingbell. Do you hack off the vines, or throw your Pokeball?

Alright, lucky The-Dice-Like-Me-So-They-Give-Me-A-Ninety-Three. Care to go again? Maybe this time you won't get a Pokemon that only has two possible digits!

Alright, this is better.

As you chop your way through the dense undergrowth, your borrowed Machete hits something hard and bounces off, thankfully unharmed. Looking around where your machete it, you spot something catch the light. It's... you can't believe it, a Grass stone! You pocket the stone, and stop to think. Your machete might have been badly damaged. Will you continue on, and risk it breaking, or return, while it is still in a reasonably good condition?

Did you sell your soul to the Devil for his luck?

You travel through the woods, not bothered by anything at all, though you see many glowing red eyes. At one point, you trip, and land right in front of a cavern entrance. You recall that there is a reward for discovering these places, but a thought occurs to you: if you keep this to yourself, you can keep coming here for free, just paying only the entrance fee. So, do you keep this cavern to yourself, and journey through it, or do you go report it to the guard at the beginning, hoping for a good reward?

Alright.

Secure in your knowledge that your Sableye knows Cut, and therefore you needn't borrow a Machete, and travel through the undergrowth. Suddenly, your Sableye stops, and you soon see why. It's a female Bulbasaur! Will you catch it or move on?

Verne
You enter the cave, and almost immediately notice an abundance of rocks and crystals. For that reason, you decide to call it Crystal Canyon. A Fire Stone lays in front of you, and you hear growling close by. You hold up your lantern, and see that it's a male Absol! Will you keep it?

RuffledFeathers- Hey, dude, stop making the dice like you so much, 'kay? You got a 00+0 Do you know how ridiculously rare this Pokemon will be?!
You figure, since the machete doesn't look damaged all that badly, it won't break while you have it, so you decide to continue. You slash your way into a small clearing, where everything is quiet. Soon, you hear soft, heavy footfalls behind you. Turning around, you see what looks like an odd Venusaur. Will you catch it, or let it pass.

Verne
As you return to the station, the guard looks up at you. He asks if you found anything, almost disinterested. You recall that if you tell him, you won't be the only one able to go to the Crystal Canyon, but if you do, you get a reward. Will you tell him?

Pfff heck no. Imagine how a sweet little place like that would go over with the ladies.

RuffledFeathers-Oh, you'll see, lucky bastard
You throw your pokeball at the Venusaur, and catch it with no problem. You pick up the pokeball, and are shocked when it opens, revealing, instead of the shiny Venusaur you thought you captured, a blue Ditto. Whatever, a shiny's a shiny, right?
