Oh man I hate sending out first. What do.

Let's go with Rose~ Do your best, alright?

(Also, wouldn't Storm be eligible? She's second-stage, not fully evolved.)

Hmm, I'll use Flame. I do like Cyndaquil.

Why don't we start off by using Will-O-Wisp until it works, and just spam Flame Charge after it does.

Will-O-Wisp~Will-O-Wisp/Flame Charge~Will-O-Wisp/Flame Charge

(I just realized how funny it is when your Pokemon's name is also in then names of a bunch of moves. :D)

Oh yeah, sorry about that, I edited her into the first post. Are you fine with using Rose first, or were you planning on sending out Storm?

The arena is a simple one; nothing but a wide expanse of dirt with a surrounding moat of clear water as the only scenery. It's still perfect for a good old fashioned brawl though, and the two approaching trainers are eager to make use of it. A powerful gust of wind sweeps the area as Windragon descends on her Tropius, and each beat of the dinosaur's leafy wings stirs up great clouds of dirt and dust. Littlestream's entry is a little less dramatic as she teleports in with the referee and his Abra. The air ripples and distorts as the two trainers shimmer into view, while Windragon hops off her Tropius and recalls her into her Pokéball.

As both trainers take their place at each end of the dusty arena, they both unleash their choices in a flash of white light. Rose the Eevee materialises on Windragon's side, and she wags her bushy tail as she crouches down in preparation for battle. Littlestream goes with Flame the Cyndaquil, and the little fire mouse gives a happy squeak at the prospect of his first battle. As both Pokémon face each other, the referee gives the signal for things to begin, and both trainers shout out their commands.

Round one

As the battle kicks off, the fire on Flame’s back flares up in a shower of fiery sparks. The Cyndaquil gives an eager squeak, then breathes out an eerie blue fireball, which darts around erratically as it seeks its target. Rose’s ears perk up as she warily surveys the ghostly orb, and she keeps a close watch on its progress. The wisp’s jagged path is difficult to track however, and Rose is completely unprepared when it abruptly streams straight towards her. She gives a howl of pain as the wisp burns through her coat and leaves a raw burn on her skin. Rose grits her teeth as she examines the mark, then gingerly turns around to glare at the cheery Cyndaquil.

The Eevee has just the thing to dampen his mood however; she makes a nasty hacking sound, then coughs up a glob of poisonous goo at Flame. The potent mix of toxins lands on Flame’s back with a nasty hiss, and rapidly begins to burn into his skin. Flame gives a startled squeak and whirls about wildly as he attempts to dislodge the nasty stuff. He has little success however, as the potent mix has already sunk into his bloodstream, leaving him momentarily overcome by a wave of nausea.

Flame groans and shivers as the horrible feeling passes over him, but tries to put it aside for now and concentrate on getting some revenge. The fire on his back flares up, and Flame launches himself straight at his foe, moving surprisingly fast on his stubby legs. A shroud of fire engulfs his small form just as he collides with Rose, who gives a startled cry as she is knocked off her feet by the blazing tackle. Rose yelps and runs around in circles as she tries to put out the lingering embers, then anxiously examines her singed fur. Her formerly beautiful coat is already looking somewhat battle-worn, and there’s even a patch of her fur missing from where her raw looking burn wound is visible.

Rose angrily whips round to face Flame, then charges towards him, her teeth bared in a snarl. Flame looks up in surprise as the Eevee lunges at him, then viciously bashes into him with a series of full-body tackles. Flame grunts in surprise and pain as Rose relentlessly pummels him, occasionally pausing to chomp down with her needle-like teeth.

Flame cringes and hastily backs away to regroup, while Rose is left panting from the effort. When he regains his nerve, Flame cautiously inches forward, and the fiery spikes on his back flare up once more as tendrils of fire creep around him. He dashes at Rose and tackles her down in a shroud of fire, drawing another indignant yelp from the scorched Eevee. Rose hastily bats out the last dying embers with her paws, then looks up at Flame with a scowl on her face. Her burn is aching painfully, and the repeated flame charges certainly aren’t improving her mood.

Rose grits her teeth and bounds forward, trying to ignore the sharp, stinging pain that the movement ignites, then forcefully collides with Flame. The Eevee continues from where she left off with her earlier pummelling, and she viciously claws and bites at every bit of Flame she can reach, completely knocking the breath out of him. Flame gives a squeak of pain as each blow lands, and struggles wildly to escape the onslaught. When he manages to put some distance between himself and the angry furball, Flame breathes a sigh of relief and warily squints over at Rose, who looks back at him sourly.

Alright, so you're going to be a bit slower, Rose. Let's use that anger, alright? Go with Frustration if Flame attacks you first, but if he Protects/Substitutes/Leers/whatever doesn't do damage, Work yourself Up instead. Switch to Mud Slap the next action and then Work Up, unless you didn't Mud Slap the previous round.

get hype super pissed off!

Start off with Fire Blast to do some damage. We don't want her to lower your accuracy too much, so use Attract the next turn, and just use Sunny Day after that.

Round two

Flame quickly perks up again as he hears his next orders, and he eagerly prepares to unleash some burning destruction. The fire on his back suddenly flares up like a bonfire, and even the enraged Eevee finds herself taking a few wary steps backward when she sees the raging flames. The Cyndaquil takes a deep breath, then exhales a blazing stream of fire, which billows outwards to form the rough shape of a kanji symbol. Rose gives a horrified yelp as the fire blast cuts a blazing trail towards her, and she frantically scrambles about to get out of the way. Unfortunately for her, the raging inferno strikes her dead on, momentarily engulfing her in the tremendous heat.

A few stubborn embers still linger even as the worst of the blaze dies away, and Rose is left lying in a charred heap. Flame inches a little closer to survey the destruction, and nearly jumps a mile when the roasted Eevee begins to stir. Rose gives a feeble groan, then slowly raises a shaking paw as she forces herself to get back up again. Her coat is badly singed and blackened now, and Rose herself looks livid. Flame gives a startled squeak as the injured Eevee abruptly flings herself at him in a blind rage, and begins to viciously bite and claw at him. Though her initial ferocity is startling, Flame finds that her burn is really taking its toll on her, and her attack doesn’t have quite as much punch behind it. As she snarls at him again, Flame works up the courage to fend her off, and he manages to push his weakened foe away.

As the glowering Rose backs off to regroup, Flame looks at her awkwardly, wondering how on earth he’s going to get in her good books after all this... He coughs into his paw to try and get Rose’s attention, and she whips round to face him, her fangs bared. Flame winces, then tries his best to show off his manly charm. He flexes his... er, muscles, and smooths out his fur as he casually approaches her and begins praising her on her amazing resilience and stunning good looks. Rose's snarly expression is soon replaced by one of slight puzzlement and bashfulness as Flame quickly explains that he was obviously terribly mistaken in attacking her like that, and it certainly won't happen again now that he's realised how incredible she is. Soon enough, Rose is looking quite won over, and she stares at over at her former foe, feeling flustered and overwhelmed by emotion. So overwhelmed in fact, that she completely forgets about her orders.

Flame grins broadly. It worked! It actually worked! As Rose stares over at him with a dreamy expression on her face, Flame turns his attention to the sky. He breathes out a small fiery orb, which quickly streams upwards like a comet before it disappears into the clouds. Within seconds, the clouds begin to grow faint and wispy, then part away to reveal the sun. Rose’s smile falters a little as the arena suddenly begins to grow much warmer, and she shuffles about a little uncomfortably, her tail and ears drooping. The sun seems to grow even brighter and more vivid than before, beaming down on the two battlers with unnatural intensity.

Rose squints her eyes against the blazing rays of sunlight, and finds herself looking longingly at the water. She may not be a Vaporeon, but a swim certainly feels tempting right now. However, when she notices her new love-interest cheerfully basking in the rays, she can’t help but feel a little guilty. She definitely doesn’t want to appear unappreciative of his handiwork… Despite her discomfort, she forces herself to smile again, then decides to show him just how much she adores his clever weather manipulation.

As Flame glances over at her, Rose eagerly begins to bounce about, squeaking cheerfully and wagging her tail. She stretches out her limbs and snaps at thin air as she works herself up for battle, muttering a pep-talk for herself all the while. Who’s the best? I’m the best! Who’s the fluffiest? I’m the fluffiest! It’s quite invigorating, apart from the nagging sting of pain from her burn. (Which was a total misunderstanding of course.) She quickly slows to a halt, feeling sore and panting heavily, but overall feeling more motivated. Plus, now Flame will totally understand how much she digs his awesome moves. Flame shuffles about uncertainly as he sees Rose looking at him expectedly. May as well keep up the ruse then… The Cyndaquil gives an uneasy smile, then politely claps with his stubby paws. It seems to do the trick, and Rose happily wags her tail.

Well, let's make use of the sun by using Flamethrower twice, and then use Toxic. If she does anything that prevents you from hitting her (other than making a substitute, if she does that you should attack the substitute with Flamethrower), use Howl.

I feel so betrayed, Rose. I thought you loved me D: C'mon, think this through..? You just met the guy not even ten minutes ago and he ruined your fur look at yourself. We'll need to buy lots of fur shampoo after this :<

Erm. Try to get all Worked Up and act all tsundere you should probably try to seduce Flame or something. Errr, most find that attractive, I guess? Make a huge fuss and stuff! Next you should probably Yawn really cutely, and then Attract him in return, unless he's already asleep, in which case you should Rain Dance. ...Buuuuut if you change your mind about Flame on the last action (he's not your type, really, and he's ruining your nice fur D:) give him a nice, frustrated kick to the face.

Round three

Flame shuffles about uncomfortably as Rose stares at him with that creepy expression. He really doesn't like this. At all. He takes a deep breath, then exhales a blazing torrent of fire, engulfing the startled Eevee in a swirl of heat. Rose shrieks in pain as the inferno ravages her burnt skin, leaving her writhing in agony. It seems to take an age for the flames to finally die off, but when they do, Rose looks up at Flame with a mournful expression, barely managing to disguise the indignant anger bubbling underneath. Flame shuffles about awkwardly, then shrugs, muttering something about how they're supposed to be in a battle. Rose doesn't appreciate this mumbled answer, and she can already feel doubt beginning to worm its way into her mind. For now though, she tries to get herself pumped up, and she begins her little work-out routine again, trying to ignore the pangs of pain it causes.

Although she’s still feeling like an overcooked ham, Rose does feel her confidence returning a little after the work up, and her doubts about that sleazy rodent are growing by the minute. She was really hoping that she’d be able to get to know Flame a bit better; maybe hang a bit or talk about the beautiful weather or something. Instead, he seized the opportunity to fry her while she was distracted. She glowers over at the Cyndaquil, who, to his credit, is looking a bit guilty. Not quite guilty enough to stop himself from blasting another flamethrower in her face however. Any positive thoughts she had about Flame are soon vanquished as she's engulfed in yet another torrent of fire, further roasting her and leaving her looking like a charred heap of fur. Rose grits her teeth and pulls herself upright again, trying her best to ignore the searing pain of her burnt skin. Any good will she held towards Flame is gone now, and he glances at her nervously as she glares at him murderously. Flame tenses up, preparing himself for the inevitable strike. Much to his surprise however, the enraged Rose responds by simply letting out a loud, jaw-cracking yawn. Flame squints over at her suspiciously, but he quickly finds it’s strangely infectious, and he can’t help yawning in return.

Flame shakes his head to try and clear away the sudden drowsiness, but his limbs still feel strangely heavy. He rubs his eyes sleepily, then tries to concentrate on his next move. He makes a nasty gurgling sound as he begins to generate the nasty mix of toxins, then grimly turns to face his foe. He supposes there’s no point in trying to keep the act up after that scorching he dealt her, so he spits the nasty glob of congealed muck right at her face without so much as a second glance. Rose’s grin quickly fades as the venom lands on her already ruined coat, and she gives a howl of pain as it hisses and burns into her skin. She frantically runs around in circles, but fails to dislodge the icky stuff, and she’s forced to stop as a wave of dizziness and nausea overcomes her.

Flame watches with some satisfaction as the woozy looking Eevee staggers about. He certainly hasn’t forgotten about the poisonous mess she splashed him with. He gives another yawn then rubs at his eyes again, and when he looks up, he’s face to face with an enraged bundle of fluff and fangs. He gives a muffled yelp as Rose abruptly begins to ravage him with her teeth and claws, kicking and tackling him furiously as she vents her frustration on him. She’s had enough of Flame’s trickery, and she’s determined to make him pay for playing with her emotions like that. She continues to lash out at the dumbstruck Flame with all she's got, and only backs off when her anger is completely spent.

Rose retreats back a few steps to catch her breath, while Flame staggers around on the spot, looking very disorientated. Rose's ears perk up as she hears a thump, and she grins nastily as she sees Flame lying in the dirt, snoring away. Man, she's good at this. She should be a sleep therapist or something; just yawn at them, then give them a few bonks on the head, and voila.

What a filthy liar that Flame is! Get all worked up about how you're going to totally kill him, and then give him a few good, Frustrated smacks up the head. Take out all your anger on him! If on the last action you're not really feeling it and you're not hurting him as much as you could be, just dig down instead. If he wakes up at any time, Yawn instead.

Round four

Rose takes a deep breath, then begins her work out routine again, muttering some words of encouragement to herself all the while. She stretches out her aching limbs and leaps about, taking great care not aggravate the raw flesh of her burn wounds. She’s left panting slightly when she slows to a halt, but her motivation has definitely returned, leaving her ready to take down that deceitful rodent. She’s pleased to see that the deceitful rodent in question has remained sound asleep too; he’s still sprawled out on the ground, the fire on his back simmering weakly as he twitches and mumbles a little in his sleep.

Rose bares her teeth at Flame, then leaps forward with an added spring in her step. She isn't feeling quite as mad as before, as the earlier vent allowed her to take out most of her anger, but she she's pretty sure she can muster up enough rage to fuel another good old fashioned pummeling. She collides with the sleeping Cyndaquil, and he gives a muffled, sleepy snort as she begins to bite and claw at him. Rose gives a low growl, then gives Flame one last good whack with her tail, and he gives a squeaky cry that ends in a rasping snore. Rose snorts with laughter, then bounces off, looking back smugly over her shoulder at the Cyndaquil lying face-down in the dirt.

Flame mutters something into the earth, then feebly flails his stubby arms and rolls over onto his side, grimacing all the while. He certainly isn't sleeping quite so soundly anymore, and Rose makes sure to stay on the alert. She crouches down and swishes her bushy tail from side to side as she surveys him with her bright eyes. She really isn't feeling that simmering rage anymore; she's in quite a good mood now in fact. Well, apart from being burned and poisoned, but Pokémon are much better at just dealing with it than humans.

As Flame continues to mutter and roll about, Rose digs her paws into the fresh earth, than rapidly begins churning up dirt. As the dirt pile behind her grows, the hole she's digging starts to form as well, and soon enough, the busy little Eevee has formed an underground tunnel to hide in. Rose digs her paws in a little bit more, and clears away some more dirt to make some more room for himself. With that done, she settles down comfortably on the cool earth, glad for some shelter from the blistering heat of the sun.

Okay~ Here's what I've been waiting for, so let's do this, Rose!

Since you're underground, use Heal Bell. I assume Flame won't be able to hear it and get status-healed, and that is the best. Use it deeper in the tunnel, if you can? Block the sound with your body? Next, Work Up and try to move towards the exit of the tunnel at the same time. Finally, Baton Pass out! Haneul will take your place (though I changed her name to Eos now).

Round five

While Flame remains dozing lightly, Rose scampers back a little further in her tunnel until she is completely invisible in the gloom, then treads carefully through the darkness. It’s eerily silent in the tunnel; she can no longer hear the snores and murmurs issuing from her snoozing foe, and the sunlight beaming through her entrance tunnel is now just a bright speck in the distance. Hopefully this should be far enough for her purposes. Rose closes her eyes as she concentrates on her healing spell, and a soft chiming begins to echo throughout the dank confines of her underground shelter.

The image of a pure white bell slowly shimmers into existence, gently rocking two and fro as it rings out its clear sweet notes. Rose gives a sigh, and she feels herself relaxing a little as the pleasant sound fills her ears. As she listens, a soft white light gradually envelops her body, encasing her in its warm glow and washing away the painful burn wound marring her skin. Although her coat is still badly charred, Rose feels a great relief after the worst of her burns is lifted away. Even better, she no longer feels plagued by dizziness or nausea, as the heal bell has effectively drained the nasty toxins from her system.

Meanwhile, above ground, Flame gives a sleepy sounding snort as he slowly awakens. He gives a loud yawn and rubs at his eyes, before blearily scanning the strangely empty looking arena. Flame wanders about dazedly, wondering where on earth his target went, before his half-lidded gaze finally settles on the disturbed pile of earth nearby. He scampers up to it, shaking his head to clear away the lingering fuzziness, and inspects the freshly dug tunnel. He snuffles around at the edge of it, wondering whether he should take the risk of climbing down. He might just be able to manage it, though it’d be a tight fit. Eevees sure are tiny. Either way, it doesn’t leave him much room for charging at Rose.

As Flame fumbles around aboveground, Rose eagerly makes her way down her tunnel, ready to taste fresh air again. The cool darkness has lost its novelty now, and she can’t wait to get out of this confined space. As she reaches the entrance, she hesitates, her ears flattening against her head as she hears the movement up above. She slowly creeps along, listening for danger, and catches a flash of bright, fiery coloured fur from up above. She tenses and bares her teeth, then plucks up her courage and shuffles up towards the entrance.

Flame gives a small squeak as he sees his foe, then hesitantly stumbles down the hole. Fire blazes to life around him, and he glares over at the snarling Eevee as he tries to make his way forward. Unfortunately, the tunnel leaves him with very little room to maneuver, and the full-force tackle he had planned turns into nothing more than an awkward stumble. He gives an irritated growl, and tries to squirm his way through the cramped space, but to no avail. There is one small consolation however; the stray embers from his shroud of fire are spitting angrily at Rose, scorching the Eevee's ruff. Rose grimaces and bats away the feeble embers sizzling on her fur, but is overall relieved that her shelter protected her from the worst of the blaze. She takes a deep breath, then bursts into her work up routine again; stretching out her limbs as much as she can and muttering words of encouragement to herself. The process is much easier and enjoyable now that she doesn’t have that burn wound to contend with, and as she feels more exhilarated as ever when she finally slows to a halt.

Flame gives an irritated squeak as he tries to get closer to Rose, and the fire on his back flares up in a shower of blazing sparks. He makes another attempt to charge at her, but the confined space once again robs him of most of his momentum, and he's left scrambling along in a quick but clumsy crawl. The shroud of flames coating his body lick greedily at Rose, causing her to give a cry of pain as she attempts to make a hasty retreat. Rose edges further into her tunnel, snarling at the Cyndaquil's bumbling attempts to get near her. Flame scowls back at her, then decides to get the hell out of this horrible cramped space. He shuffles backwards, then digs his claws into the edge of the hole and wriggles his stubby legs wildly as he attempts to haul himself up.

Rose snickers a little as she watches him, then deftly bounds past him and leaps out of the hole. With that accomplished, she crouches down and wags her bushy tail wildly, and a red aura of crackling energy begins to shimmer around her. Windragon hastily fumbles around her belt for another Pokéball, then quickly recalls Rose. As the Eevee disappears, she leaves behind the shimmering red aura, and Windragon throws another Pokéball right into the middle of it. Eos the Shinx emerges in a bright burst of white light, and gives an enthusiastic roar to announce her presence. The seething bundle of energy immediately envelops her in its bright red glow, effectively bestowing her with the same wired up state of mind her ally was in. Eos grins widely, exposing a sharp row of teeth, and wags her star-tipped tail happily. This is gonna be fun.

Not long after Eos appears on the field, Flame succeeds in pulling himself out of the hole, grumbling and muttering about the dirt on his fur. He pauses as he spots the Shinx however, and gives a small squeak of surprise as she immediately starts growling at him. He really doesn't like the look of her. At all.

Arena notes

There is a small, Eevee-sized hole near Eos's side of the field, which leads into a small tunnel.

Battle notes

- There really wasn't enough room in Rose's tunnel for Flame to properly tackle her with a flame charge, so I halved the damage.
- Windragon attacks first.

Alright, Eos! Break ALL the things!

Just take him down with a ridiculous Headbutt+Wild Charge+Discharge combo! Let him go first to draw out any Protects? You should see if he does anything, I think.

If he does Protect, use Howl instead. If he tries to Attract or burn you, give me a small substitute; 7% is good.

Try again this action with Wild Charge+Discharge if you still can, and then same thing as last time;
if he Protects use Howl instead. If he tries to Attract or burn you, give me a small substitute unless you have one already then Howl instead.

Same thing last action, but Thunderbolt instead.
