Arena Description: A Giant Sword in Space (Exactly What It Says On The Tin)
Imagine the deep reaches of space, soundless, desolate, endless blackness in all directions.
Now imagine a giant
sword, of medieval design, floating through this void. You know, just a normal giant sword, doing what giant swords do best: floating through space and occasionally being pointed at by people with dumbfounded expressions.
That, my friends, is the arena.
Let's get into the nitty gritty parts. The sword drifts through space blade-first, as if some giant had thrown it like a dart into the sky and wondered why it wasn't coming back. Poor giant. Around the sword is a bubble of air that moves with the sword, like an atmosphere over a sword-shaped world. The sword is roughly two wailords long and proportionately wide, while the perfectly spherical air bubble is about five wailords in diameter. The air is room-temperature. Gravity exists on the sword on both sides, so you can jump over the side of the sword and land on the other side, upside down to your opponent.
Also, and here's the really fun bit: at the beginning of every round, each pokemon has a 5% chance of getting hit by a small meteor, causing 5% typeless damage. If they do, they miss their actions for that round.
And once again, this is the
design of the sword for reference.

Lust watched the crying mess with glee. This would be too much fun for her, though she may not want to look too happy at the risk of her trainer thinking she was insane. Ah, well, at least her next move would let her release her own emotions. Sisay gradually stood again, sparks playing about her form as the paralysis was held at bay. Lust noticed that her opponent was now watching her and began her torment. She began to insult her opponent in every way possible, leaving the poor miserable Shinx feeling alone and in the dark. She insulted her odd fur, her horrible typing, her bad moveset, and her weakness to any and all Pokemon that could actually attack her physically. Sisay began to shiver with displeasure at the verbal thrashing she was enduring, but Lust didn’t let out. When the icy fiend had finally relinquished all of her “Yo Mama” jokes she sat back (figuratively) to watch the spectacle that would unfold presently.
Sisay put her down to her paws. It was all too much. Why was she still in this, why hadn’t her trainer forfeited the match? Her opponent was treating her like a prisoner, but she was still expected to fight like she had a chance. The only thing that kept her going was the thought of being closer to her lifelong goal of being a Luxray after knocking out Maria Ross, and possibly Lust if she could really push herself. She knew that the rain cloud was still positioned above her, and that gave her a vain hope that with some nasty electric surges she could end this in her favour. With her confidence boosted again she lifted her head up to face her snickering opponent. Then, with only a millisecond to compose herself she formed the most gruesome face that she could make her features contort into. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth at an odd angle, her nose became scrunched, and she squinted her eyes. For a second they seemed to flash red, but then they were back to their normal colour. Lust was dumbfounded by the new surge of emotion that came from Sisay, and backed away slowly. The face slowly returned to normal, but Lust was still mentally scarred.
With her mind turning thanks to an unwanted face contortion by her opponent Lust proceeded carefully with her next attack. No need to mess up her opponent even more. And her trainer might think SHE was insane. What a weird world (or sword) they lived in/on. Now to deliver a crushing blow, with caution of course. She began to run down the blade of the sword with a small bit of grace uncommon to her. Was this the Sneasel way of being careful, or some sort of idea that could turn into a master plan? Nobody knew except for Lust herself. She was still much faster than her opponent as she still suffered from paralysis that did not seem to be fading away at all, though it was freeing her (or so it seemed) so far. Sisay eyed her opponent oddly. This was not an attacking technique she was familiar with. Her opponent was zigzagging slightly now, trying to keep herself well intoned with her common sense. She couldn’t mess up here. Then, with a burst of speed she set off in a sprint, jumped, and while in mid-air conjured just about enough ice crystals to cover her fist. The extra ice from the rain gave her a few more crystals, and she slammed her fist down hard upon her electric opponent, leaving a stinging welt. No ice crystals were left behind, but she still felt good about herself, as she hadn’t managed to trigger her opponent’s gruesome tendency.
Sisay realized that the paralysis couldn’t be held off for long, so she had to act quickly. She began to feed off of the electric energy within her, pushing as hard as she could like a generator to get all of the energy needed. She was straining herself, but it needed to be done. With a grimace she kept the energy flowing until she knew that the energy she had would suffice. Letting out a screech of obvious pain she let the bolt go. It sizzled through the rain, heading this way and that, but eventually hitting the lithe shape of Lust the Sneasel. Lust tried to dodge, but in the weather at hand it was nearly impossible. It was almost as if the bolt had a homing device attached to it, or at least it could go horribly widespread. Lust ironically felt no pain from the bolt, but when she tried to move again she felt her limbs crunch up against her side. She groaned, feeling for the first time in the battle that she was slowly getting more evenly matched with her opponent.
Lust realized with a bit of glee that she was STILL faster than her opponent. This was understandable, as normally she had a point difference of 60 in that stat department. Now in normal situations this would’ve been great for her, but the move that she was now commanded to use would not be beneficial in the situation. She sighed; at least her trainer would realize that she still had the advantage. With a small screech she began to lope towards her opponent as fast as she could. She was going pitifully slow for a Sneasel, but she kept going. As she reached Sisay she generated dark orbs around herself. These orbs flocked to one of her claws, where they formed a dark and foreboding film around her now clenched fist. If she had already been attacked this action more dark orbs would have been generated, doubling her offensive power, but this would have to suffice. When she reached Sisay she delivered a wrenching blow with her dark-powered fist. The Shinx had the air knocked out of her body, and she began to pant hard. It had hurt her severely, and she was really starting to feel the toll of competitive battling. But the thought of being a Luxray still kept her going, and she brushed the pain away with an amount of willpower that she was surprised she still had control of.
Sisay may have still been suffering from the horrible pain, but she knew her next attack could turn the tables in her favour for the duration of the battle. She stared at the rain cloud above her and smiled. There was a certain thrill about frying your opponent with bolts from the heavens that appealed to her immensely, in a demented sort of way. Using her electrical powers she began to charge electricity again, letting it flow through her body. Lust watched this with some curiosity, wondering what her feeble opponent would conjure up to damage her. Or try to damage her. Lust smiled; sometimes the jokes she told in her mind could get a smile out of her. Sisay was grimacing as electrical currents flowed through her body. She was trying not to move so that she wouldn’t activate the paralysis, and this caused bolts to sting her at random intervals as they tried to move around outside of her body. After only ten more seconds of agony she realized that unless she released the bolt at that moment she would sustain permanent injury. With a violent scream she released the energy, but the bolt did not exit from her. From out of the clouds came a magnificently yellow surge of pure electricity. The bolt slammed down upon Lust, and the poor Sneasel screamed. This was pain she had not experienced before. She tried to ignore it, but the energy entered her skin and ravaged her to the extreme. As soon as it had come, it was gone, and in its wake it left an agonized ice-type Pokemon.
