Metallica Fanboy and Mawile tapped their feet in annoyance as they waited for the referee to secure three Baltoy to assist them in travelling through time. In the end, they had to settle for two Baltoys and a Spoink, though no one knew what use the Spoink was. They all put their hands on their designated Psychic-type, a la Dragon Tales, The Omskivar chanted something in another tongue, and they were whisked into the past.
Contrary to popular belief, time travelling isn't something where you see the past flash before your eyes. It's a visible tunnel, but at the speed you're going, which is negative, it's completely white and the only thing outside of it is imaginary space. If you took Calculus you'd understand. Well, you wouldn't, but you'd understand that math is fucking crazy sometimes and you'd have an easier time accepting that this sort of thing is entirely possible.
Anyway, they arrived at the Colosseum, where they met up with the Omskivar, who had sent himself back a bit further in order to register and take care of all the papyruswork. They were lead into the center of the circular arena, where they took a few moments to be impressed at the architecture, then sent out their Pokemon. Metallica Fanboy considered Mawile's choice, the Riolu, Equius, before sending out his Skorupi, Sub-Zeroes.

First Round
Magma Storm? Sub-Zeroes had only heard of it once before, and for the life of her she couldn't remember the context. Clearly it was a Fire attack, but...Sheer Cold wasn't a move she knew how to do either, and she knew full well Judgment had to be some sort of joke from her Trainer; irked that she would be forced to resort to this, she braced herself for the recoil from her Struggle and began to charge forward--but she never started skittering, because some impenetrable force was holding her in place. She tried a couple tactics--Digging under it, Faint Attacking around it--but found herself unable to move at all. She turned to look at her trainer, waving her claw frantically to signal to him, when all of the sudden the claw burst into light, and a long green vine shot out of it, striking Equius in the face and knocking him off of his feet.
As Sub-Zeroes stared at her claws in disbelief and surprise, Equius dusted himself off and stood up. He recognized what had just happened as Metronome, and he also knew that it was usually reserved for Pokemon with actual fingers to wag. Therefore, he reasoned, if a Skorupi could use it, he should be able to, no? He wagged his finger back and forth, then flinched as his head was involuntarily jerked forward and his mouth forced to open, emitting a shrill almost-song as loud as possible. Sub-Zeroes ground her mandibles in agony, wagging her claws in the hopes that something would make it stop; a low rumbling sound began in her own diaphragm, and though it was slightly distorted by her chittering mouthparts, her growling had its effect; Equius shied away almost instinctively at the hostility, then wagged his own finger.
Without warning to himself or Sub-Zeroes, Equius charged at her at full force, tackling her and carrying her
up the side of the edge of the arena and up the stairs in the stands, slamming her hard into a column, which snapped and fell. The Skorupi screeched in pain, shaking her claw with the intent to both hit Equius with it and make him let go of her and to summon another attack; a small explosion of electricity blasted Equius off of her, and she used her tail to flip herself back onto her feet and scampered back to where the Riolu was shaking his head to clear it. Once more he stood up and wagged his finger.
Equius's neck cracked as his hand moved of its own accord, jerking him to the side, then slamming itself into the ground with force. He was pulled off of his feet and dragged by his knees as the rogue appendage led him in a circle, carving an anormous piece of rock out of the ground. Knowing where this was going, Equius smirked, then maneuvered his feet to a standing position, kicking the ground to make the rock fly up. It sort of hovered there expectantly, so he delivered a roundhouse kick, and it shot off like a cannon, barreling towards Sub-Zeroes at absolute maximum velocity. There was an audible crunch as the rock connected with Sub-Zeroes, and kept rolling, punching a hole in the wall and releasing two lions, who were too busy gnawing on a Christian to notice just yet. Sub-Zeroes strained herself to exit the Skorupi-sized hole in the ground, wincing at the pain in all of her segments, as the referee waved the flag and signalled the end of the round, keeping a wary eye on those lions.

Calculations
Vine Whip- 4% damage, 4% energy
Round- 6% damage, 6% energy
Growl- 2% energy
Rock Climb- 7% damage, 6% energy
Thunderbolt- 9% damage, 7% energy
Rock Wrecker- 23% damage, 15% energy
Arena Notes
-One of the supporting columns is destroyed. The two adjacent pillars are straining to support the extra weight.
-There is a hole blown through one of the walls.
-An enormous crater is in front of Equius.
-Two lions are eating a poor guy, adn they will be finished by the end of next round. Then they will derp around for a bit.
Battle Notes
-Rock Wrecker was a critical hit.
-No paralysis from Thunderbolt.
-No confusion from Rock Climb.
-Rock Wrecker cost extra energy because the A&A Guide suggested so.
-I tweaked the damage/energy of Vine Whip because it didn't seem fair to cost 5% energy for 3% damage.
Next round
I don't think it matters at all but both battlers should at least post to let me know they're alive. Then I ref.
One question: for future reference, can non-Attack commands such as "do nothing" or "climb the wall" still be used in a Metronome battle?
