Round 10​

Swimming in circles to thin the distracting cloud of her own blood in the water, Warfare flapped her fin and froze (geddit) as the water in her mouth solidified into ice. She backpaddled, then spat it out with blinding speed, striking Terezi in her head. Having just clambered up onto another wooden boat, the Oshawott was none too pleased to be knocked back into the increasingly disgusting water; shaking her paw, she let loose a fantastic and violent blast of water at Warfare, who was only grazed, but still spun around in the water. Giving her fin a single twitch, Warfare attempted to concentrate, but the Metronome gods were put at odds with their own confusion once more, and once more they failed. A splitting headache sent a shiver through the Carvanha's body, and she gave up attempting to attack.

Terezi clambered back up onto the boat, slightly hindered by the goop coating her fur. She waggled her paw again, and another spray of water shot from her unwittingly opened mouth, this time almost unbearably hot in her throat. A deafening hissing and a mammoth field of steam spread throughout the arena as Warfare's upper scales dried out and began to filet. Hissing in pain herself, Warfare submerged herself in the bubbling broth, going deep enough to soothe her aching scales, before erputing in a Metronomical geyser, rocketing into the air as her eyes began to grow yellow and she hunted for a sign of her opponent in the steam. Her eyes caught sight of the very tip of a small wooden mast, and she fired a bolt of almighty THUNDARRRRRRR at it, splitting the sky with a streak of lightning that coursed through Terezi's body and created one of those cartoony X-rays for any onlookers. When the nightmarish attack was finished, Warfare swan-dove back into the water, while lingering sparks danced across the steam and gunk clinging to Terezi's fur; she tried to shake her own finger, but her body froze and she dropped to the water like a felled tree.
