Blackthorne Steele vs Alraunne

Dammit. I'm such a dumbass, forgetting this stuff... -_-;;

Carrie, Double Team, run into a house, plop on the bed, take a nap. Simple as that. Oh, and make sure your clones guard the door.

Nothin' we can do, Mirror. D: Just Sleep Talk until you wake up, then, Psychic Eadgyth. Chill if he Protects.

I'm not confident. D:

Carrie:

Double Team(Four clones)~Run into house and take a nap, make sure to lock the door(A.K.A., Rest)~Nothing (We wants energy!)

Mirror:

Sleep Talk/Psychic@Eadgyth/Chill x3

Oh, by "Sleep Talks Protect" I'm not saying "If the Bronzor Sleep Talks, then use Protect," I mean if "Bronzor uses Sleep Talk and winds up using Protect, then chill"

I mean, if you want to tell your Bronzor to do something else since otherwise I haven't mentioned anything about Protect to my guys.
Also to the ref since I can't fix that funny wording because I can't edit my post after Blackthorne posts. >:

This quaint town by the sea has an old Italian feel. In the center of its residential area is a beautiful square of medium-large size, complete with a round fountain in its center. The square is enclosed by buildings of about three stories, mostly inns and apartments. There are streetlamps extending from the walls into the square and many windows with flowerboxes where birds like to perch. Residents will sometimes stop as they pass their window to watch the battle below, as light battles in he square are commonplace.

Other: Moves which involve direct contact with the ground (Dig, Ingrain, etc.) cost 5% more energy to use, due to the ground being beneath the paved and tiled square.
"Destructive moves" are restricted due to the public area, so as not to damage surrounding buildings too badly. Here, moves with the base power of 100 or higher are considered destructive.
Battle is restricted to the square- no running into the streets or the ocean!
Due to the limited size of the square, your two Pokemon cannot reach a combined height of over 30'.

Round 11

Carrie manages to stand and begins running in a circle again. She struggles due to both the rain and her exhaustion, slipping on the wet pavement. Behind her, the copies she does manage to create seem to vanish instantly, the rain passing through them giving them away immediately as fakes.

Meanwhile, Tock builds another mental link from his perch on the flowerbox, this time with Mirror rather than Carrie. Just as before, he uses his psychic abilities to transfer the pain from his burn, and in fact, the burn itself, onto Mirror’s surface. Mirror is completely unaware of the connection, even in sleep, and only barely registers a stinging in his side.

Eadgyth takes off rolling again, in Carrie’s direction. She barely notices the scratches caused by the Stealth Rock as she rolls through them before skidding to a stop and ramming Carrie with her watery tail. She retreats through the rocks again as Carrie gasps for breath, forcing herself to her feet once again.

Not far away, Mirror is mumbling in his sleep. Tock glances in his direction, as Mirror seems to be just mumbling to himself. As it turns out, Mirror is talking to himself… about himself. He seems to be bragging about being able to float without struggle at the moment. For some reason, this infuriates Tock, who flaps his wings madly in an attempt to remind the sleeping Bronzor that he can fly too. Of course, this does not mean a think to Mirror, who is still sleeping quite peacefully.

Sighing over her failure, Carrie curls up in a ball, quite uncomfortably on the wet ground, and manages to fall asleep, a healing blue aura surrounding her. Across from her, Tock angrily hoots in Mirror’s direction, makes a leap for him, but stumbles and falls from the flowerbox onto the pavement below.

Again, Eadgyth rolls towards Carrie, breaking through the circle of rocks surrounding her, and rams her with her tail. Carrie remains asleep, however, even as the attack tosses her a few feet away, floating rocks and all. Eadgyth is rather pleased with herself as she rolls back to her spot, only to be pushed there faster than expected by a sudden blue energy pulse: Mirror had woken up from Tock’s outbursts and launched a Psychic attack seconds too late to save Carrie.

As the rain finally comes to a stop and the dark clouds slowly drift away, the fire-type herself continues to snooze, allowing her health to return to her, barely keeping her conscious. Tock, meanwhile, is only angrier at Mirror after falling, and attempts to fly back to his perch, only to hit his head on the underside and crash to the ground again.

Seeing that the rain has let up, Eadgyth changes strategies, glad to not have to break through any more rocks. She opens her mouth towards Carrie and fires a stream of bluish-green dragon flames, which surround their target, causing further discomfort and disrupting her sleep slightly. Forgotten by the Dragomelet already, Mirror happily releases another psychic burst, throwing Eadgyth rolling across the wet ground again.

Arena Notes
-The pavement is cracked and torn a bit from where Slayer called up boulders.
-The speed order next round is: Carrie, Tock, Eadgyth, Mirror.

Round 11 Notes
-For the record, ordering a Pokémon to move or something is supposed to take an action, so moving + Rest would have been illegal.
-From what I understand, anything that passes through a Double Team clone will give away its identity, and that includes rain, so Carrie’s Double Team was unsuccessful.
-According to the recent post regarding Stealth Rock, Eadgyth took damage every time she attacked and retreated.
-Mirror’s Sleep Talk roller Swagger, which randomly targeted Tock.
-Carrie’s Rest cured her poison.
-Tock hurt himself on actions 2 and 3.
-Mirror woke up on action 2.
-Rain also faded after action 2.
-Eadgyth would have hit the damage cap on action 3 even without the added Stealth Rock damage.
-For the record, Sleep Talk isn’t a priority move, so Mirror would have moved last, thus causing Protect to fail had it been rolled.
-I apologize for the lateness and the slight messiness of this reffing. I’ve been… a little shaken the last two days and am having a bit of trouble finding the right words.
-Team Steele attacks first, if I’m not mistaken.

How is this reffing late? :O It's faster than anyone else's! :P

Dammit. We're in a spot of trouble, here. D: Carrie, just use whatever you have left to Sleep Talk. Rest'd kill ya anyway, so just do something useful. ;-;

You finally decided to wake up, huh? Good. Keep sexually assualting Eadgyth. Go for a nice array of Flash Cannons, and we'll avenge Carrie. If she Protects, Chill.

As the tiny owl struggles to keep his balance, Carrie lashes out a second time, knocking the own over. Carrie immediately collapses in a puddle, being both too mentally and physically incapable of continuing. With that, the ref ends the round before anyone else can act on his or her orders.

Hum... Big whoop guys Gastly.

Just work on taking out the Bronzor. If it uses Protect, then chill. If you guys get Tormented or something, simple solution is... use something else! And of course if you get Taunted then just don't use something dumb.

Eadgyth, if Rift uses Protect then just attack Bronzor instead, and if they both Protect at the same time, then Chill.

Tock, if the Bronzor makes a substitute or something then don't Psych Up, just attack.

Blackthorne Steele returns Carrie to her pokéball, where she will take a nice rest. In her place, Steele calls on Rift, a female Gastly fitted with an odd coat of metal. The Gastly doesn’t notice the sharp rocks floating around her as she emerges, and ends up poking herself as she floats into one. She grumbles a bit, but otherwise ignores this distraction, instead checking her armor for flaws.

Round 13

Mirror lets out a mental sigh as both Rift and Tock create psychic links to his mind, not at all pleased with the use to which he is being put. Even if he had been ordered to stop Tock, he could not think of a way to do it while still allowing Rift access to his power-ups, and so he does nothing as both Pokémon absorb them, each one strengthening as they imitate Mirror’s boosts.

Eadgyth eyes Rift’s steely armor and decides that melting it is a good idea. As such, she releases a stream of fire while hiding inside her egg. The flames envelop Rift, who indeed is rather uncomfortable in the heat, however she has already managed to absorb Mirror’s extra defense, and is able to bear it better than she otherwise would have. Mirror, meanwhile, is content to continue his relentless psychic barrages against Eadgyth, which he proceeds to do. Eadgyth is forced to stop her attack as she is rolled over once more.

Rift decides to right fire with fire. Using his eerie ghost powers, he creates an odd blue flame in front of him, which then floats over to Eadgyth and singes her skin. She whines as the flame leaves a nasty burn mark on the side of her face.

Tock hops down and uses the tiny portion of ghostly energy that he possesses, and fires a small beam of it from his eyes, which strikes Mirror. Mirror, however, hardly registers the impact, apart from feeling slightly disturbed as he senses the ghostly energy nearby with his psychic mind.

Eadgyth, too, focuses her next attack on the Bronzor. She releases a stream of bluish-green dragon fire, which strikes Mirror directly. He feels his levitating ability falter slightly, as the dragon fire messes with his body’s systems, causing his mind to work slower. As it is, he can already feel the pressing weight of the paralysis taking over him as he tries, and fails, to produce another psychic wave.

Rift takes on a greenish glow, which she whips over to Tock, who then begins to glow as well. Tock, already feeling tired, only gets worse as the green aura strips him of his energy, carrying it in tiny green orbs back to Rift, who absorbs them into her body. Tock’s focus, however, remains on Mirror. He sends a second ghostly beam at him, which again only mildly irritates him as it strikes his burn.

Eadgyth’s attention also remains on the Bronzor as she releases more dragon flames in his direction. Again, while only feeling mild pain, Mirror notices the energy of the dragon attack messing with his motion. This time, however, he manages to repel the energy enough to send a psychic attack at Eadgyth, who is forced to stop her own attack yet again, as she is rolled backwards.

Round 14

Rift immediately takes on another green aura as the round begins. Just as before, she lashes this aura out at Tock, who again also becomes surrounded. All but the tiniest sliver of Tock’s energy is stripped from him, taken by the green aura into Rift’s body. Tock barely manages to hold on, though somehow he does. He struggles to relax even as he feels himself slipping into unconsciousness. The relaxation does soothe the Hoothoot, pulling him from the brink of passing out, though he by no means is feeling restored.

Eadgyth, meanwhile, isn’t faring much better. Though tired, she manages to fire some more blue-green dragon flames at Mirror, again stinging his burn. And again, Mirror manages to resist the full-body (or, in his case, full-mind) paralysis. He gathers steely energy in his body, his blue color changing silver. He fires a great, silver beam from his entire body, which cracks Eadgyth’s shell upon impact, despite its unusual toughness. The Dragomelet screeches in protest as the bright, painful light fades as quickly as it had come. Eadgyth, however, is not as lucky as Tock, and gives in to her unconsciousness.

Arena Notes
-The pavement is cracked and torn a bit from where Slayer called up boulders, and most of the square is still wet with rainwater.
-The speed order next round is: Rift, Tock, Mirror, plus Eadgyth’s replacement.

Round 14 Notes
-Gah, sorry Steele. For some reason, I was calling Rift a he every time I mentioned her. I thought I’d corrected them all though, so how a whole paragraph managed to evade me, I don’t know. I’m glad at least someone other than me is reading these, however.
-Another short round. Tock survived with 1% energy, but Eadgyth fainted on the first action.
-Team Al is to send out, as well as attack, next round.

I hate to do this because the battle is going to be total zerg mode after this... but you leave me no choice.
I send out... Boo!

Boo, this is what you must do: HAZE. Haze haze haze. Haze for your life. After that, if you get taunted and the round is still going, it's zerg time.

Boo:

Tock:

Dammit.

Oh, well. Hows about we just Hypnosis your evolved form and uh... Giga Drain Tock some more.

Ah. Your stat changes have gone, and your only threat is just about dead. So just Chill and prepare for killing something.

Why wouldn't we read them? That's..... the main point of ASB for most of us. :x Including me.

Arena: Port Town Square

Alraunne recalls Eadgyth, eyeing Rift for a moment before choosing her final Pokémon. The tossed pokéball opens to reveal a Haunter named Boo, who, like his unevolved cousin, doesn’t attempt to hide his displeasure at the sun. New commands are given just as Boo spots Rift and bursts out laughing at the steel suit around the Gastly.

Round 15

As Boo laughs his hysterical Haunter laugh, a thick cloud leaks from his mouth. Though he feels nothing, the haze seems to numb the other Pokémon as they come in contact with it. Tock feels the effects first, being closest to the cloud, followed by Rift and Mirror. The numbing effect of the cloud weakens them all, stripping them of all their power-ups (barring the boosts from Rift’s armor). Rift attempts to stop the haze from growing by lighting up her eyes a pink color, attempting to hypnotize Boo, however while Boo is unaffected by the numbness, his vision is just as hampered.

Tock, meanwhile, struggles to see even with his boosted vision. He can just make out a shape in front of him, and forms a ball of shadows in front of him, ready to attack what he hopes is Mirror. Once the ball is around basketball size, Tock lets it go. The object that it strikes explodes, sending flying pieces of stone throughout the square. Tock is struck by multiple large pieces, and hoots uncomfortably. Through all this, Mirror simply relaxes himself in the fog, trying to keep calm.

Through the haze, Rift hears someone calling her name. Rift stops to listen. As it turns out, the voice is Boo, easily identified by the terrible insults coming out of his mouth about Rift’s armor. Rift is infuriated by the insults. Only regretting not being told to attack Boo instead, Rift glows green as she prepares for another draining attack. However, through the haze, she can’t find her target with the other end of the flailing aura. After a few moments of struggling, Rift assumes that Tock is just out of range somehow, and angrily lets the aura die.

Tock himself is still in the smoke, searching for Mirror. Again, he thinks he sees something, and fires a dark ball of ghostly energy at it. The shadow ball passes right through the trick of the smoke, striking nothing until it sizzles out. Mirror, meanwhile, continues relaxing as he waits out the haze.

Boo now changes his strategy, imitating his partner who he cannot see. He charges up his own shadowy orb, and hurls it powerfully through the smoke. A metallic cry is heard, indicating a successful strike against Mirror, to which Boo cackles. Rift, getting angrier with every laugh, lashes out with his green draining aura again, but his attempt this time proves no more successful than his last, and he is forced to abandon his attempt again.

Aiming where he guesses the sound came from, Tock puts his remaining energy into one last purple orb. With a flap of his wings, the dark ball hurls through the cloud. A second, similar metallic cry echoes out, a sign that Mirror was hit again. Tock hoots happily one last time before allowing himself to pass out. As the cloud slowly begins dissolving, Tock is visible underneath, laying unconscious on the drying pavement.

Arena Notes
-The pavement is cracked and torn a bit from where Slayer called up boulders, and most of the square is still wet with rainwater.
-A thick cloud of haze is lingering in the square, dampening any stat changes and hindering the Pokémon’s vision.
-The speed order next round is: Boo, Rift, Mirror.

Round 15 Notes
-Steele, you didn’t mention whether Giga Drain was to target health or energy, but since the previous attacks targeted energy, I decided keeping it consistent would make sense. (Also, I’ve heard that many people just check the ending health percentages without reading the reffing itself at all.)
-According to the A&A, Haze lingers for a long time as well as greatly reducing visibility, so Rift’s Hypnosis couldn’t succeed because Boo couldn’t see it. I’m reffing Haze as a sort of localized fog, so all attacks have an accuracy of about 60% of their originals.
-Tock hit himself in confusion on action 1.
-Rift’s Giga Drain and Tock’s Shadow Ball on action 2 missed.
-Rift’s Giga Drain on action 3 missed as well.
-Tock fainted on action 3 due to energy loss, before Mirror could perform his last action.
-Since Team Al is down to her last, Team Steele can go ahead and attack.

We have nothing left to do but kill. Yay.

Round 16

Boo’s cackling stops abruptly as he hears Tock being returned to his pokéball, and comes to the realization that the battle has turned into a two-on-one. Trying to stay calm, the Haunter begins poking fun at Mirror through the smoke. Though he cannot see his target, Mirror has no trouble hearing the insults, and can’t help but feel slightly ashamed, no matter how much he tries to tell himself that Boo is just trying to upset him.

Rift intervenes, forming a ball of shadows and launching it into the smoke in the direction of Boo’s voice. An eerie screech is the only sign that Rift’s attack struck, as afterwards, Boo has fallen silent. More than willing to prove himself, Mirror attempts to strike at the same position the voice came from as well. He rams his body into the hard pavement, causing a series of rocks to erupt a short distance away and form a sort of rocky pyramid. However, the fog appears to have interfered with Mirror’s aiming, and Boo lets out one quick giggle to show that he was unharmed.

Boo allows the shadows to guide his next move. He turns his body intangible, while at the same time lighting a fire on his detached fist, creating a black fire effect. He then hurtles forwards through the smoke cloud, following his fist, which is being drawn by shadows. Being temporarily phased out, he passes through the floating stones surrounding Rift unharmed, and punches the armored ghost with his shadow-fire claw. Rift is caught totally unprepared, and howls as the shadows lash out over her and the fire scorches her.

Not at all amused, Rift uses her psychic energy to locate Boo in the smoke, and fires a wave of blue psychic power directly at him. The Haunter again lets out a sound somewhere between a laugh and a scream as the energy overwhelms him. Mirror wishes to make a second attempt at offense, however after his last failure, Boo’s taunts ring in his mind, and he spends his time vowing to prove himself.

After using so much energy, coupled with the powerful psychic attack he just endured, Boo can only find it in him to rest. Meanwhile, Rift gathers another ghostly energy ball and fires it into the smoke. No scream is heard, however, and Rift sighs, assuming his attack didn’t hit Boo. Elsewhere in the smoke, Mirror can’t find it in him to attack again, this time not due to self-esteem problems, however, but rather due to the gripping paralysis causing problems from within.

Arena Notes
-The pavement is cracked and torn a bit from where Slayer called up boulders, and most of the square is still wet with rainwater. Also, the fountain has partially shattered from Tock’s Shadow Ball. There is also a column of rocks somewhere in the middle of the smoke where Mirror’s Rock Tomb came up.
-A thick cloud of haze is lingering in the square, dampening any stat changes and hindering the Pokémon’s vision.
-The speed order next round is: Boo, Rift, Mirror.

Round 16 Notes
-Mirror’s Rock Tomb missed on action 1, and he couldn’t perform it on action 2 due to Torment. Also, due to the arena and how the attack is performed, using it costs extra energy.
-Rift’s Shadow Ball on action 3 missed also due to the haze.
-Mirror had absolutely horrible luck on action 3. Rock Tomb would have been a critical hit, however it rolled both to miss and for him to be fully paralyzed.
-Team Al attacks first.

It's okay, Boo. You got this. Honest. Don't give up!
I'm pretty sure Attract will work since you're the fastest right now, but if it doesn't for some reason just Fire Punch whichever you'd be able to do damage to I guess? Gotta play it safe. Extra instructions never hurt.
If Mirror gives itself away somehow with its move, Fire Punch it. If it doesn't then Shadow Punch Rift.
If either of them protect, then redirect to the other instead. If they both protect at the same time, then Chill.
