• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Last mention of homosexuality:

national newspaper simply mentioned the husband of some deceased guy and said what he did. called him a widower afterwards. Like gay marriage is the most normal thing in the world.

Finally, this is how it's done.

Which newspaper? I must read this~

In all seriousness, that really is how it should always be. My hat's off to these journalists who care.

Yeah, we Dutch people are pretty cool like that.
tbh in a country where iirc ~82% of everyone (except a lot of muslims and Christian Party people) supports gay marriage this is pretty normal! :)

Oh, Dutch. Yeah; everyone knows you Dutch are cool like that. Way to kill my happiness by thinking that America had gone into acceptance mode. Oh well. Still a good read.

Altmer is secretly Australian.

Watershed hails from the cold, european Australia of the North, where there are no kangaroos and nobody gets sunburnt ever.

Und ich spreche nicht genug Deutsch dafuer...

We do get sunburnt. In July. When it happens not to be raining. It's the bloody weather...

So we had a discussion on this in Theology today, which was a very bad idea cause it was scary intense.

On a related note, my Theology textbook would like to make me point out the epic fail that homosexuality =/= transsexuality. One of the sentences in there seriously said "some may feel trapped in the wrong body," and the site we got some information off of said some people may "become" gay because the opposite gender parent spends too much time around them and causes a gender-identity crisis.

I mean, really, that's just ridiculous.

My US History textbook has a line stating "Yet, to the Puritans, life was serious business".

Don't take textbooks seriously.
