A ray of sunlight pierces the thick canopy of the forest, reflecting against the tumult of trees and creating a mosaic of light and shadow. The forest floor is lined with stray leaves and twigs, from crispy brown oak leaves to soft pines. Trees are around every corner, so densely packed that an American would probably have difficulty nagivating through the forest.

In the midst of this, three or four large spores suddenly float into the air, letting out a small, cute cry. Several meters away, a humanesque figure brutally chops down several large trees with its impressive blades, and proceeds to step into the just formed clearing, meeting the eyes of the Jumpluff.

Round One

The Jumpluff promptly opens its mouth to intake air, but with a pop! it disappears to a cloud of smoke, as a small plush doll, greyish in colour and covered with dirt and grime, falls out of the haze and thuds onto the ground. The Gallade quizzically glances at the emotionless doll, turning its head from side to side with an odd expression on its face. Unsure as to its nature, the Gallade takes several steps back. As it brings its two shiny blades together, a small smark ignites at the junction, and suddenly the Gallade stares straight into the button-eyes of the doll as a colossal buzz emanates from its arms and a jagged ray of plasma strikes the substitute, burning its way through several trees, which promptly fall to the ground with a great clamor.

The impact knocks the plushie into the air, as smoke hisses and sparks fly in all directions. The doll rams into a tree, leaving ashes and burnt cotton on its bark, humbly falling to the ground, face down. The Gallade smirks in satisfaction, but still the doll shows no signs of fatigue. A small gust blows ashes off the doll, as if to apologize for its suffering.

Another small breeze blows from behind the stuffed animal. This time the ashes blow toward the Gallade, but the ashes seem different somehow. It narrows its eyes as the wind swooshes past itself.

Out of nowhere, the Gallade feels a great weight upon its eyelids. Unable to help itself, it uses one of its valiant blades to rub its eyes, but before it knows it, the Gallade sprawls onto the ground, peacefully sleeping.

With another puff of smoke, the doll explodes, but in a cute kind of way, with cartoonish dust everywhere, to reveal a completely unharmed Jumpluff. It giggles before flying over to the sleeping beast. Cautiously and softly it lands inches before the Gallade, gently prodding it with one of its large spores. Judging the situation was safe, the Jumpluff runs around in circles around the Gallade, laughing as small, purple spores fly out of its greater white spores. Each of the mini-spores quietly land on the shiny blades of the Gallade, before ominously soaking itself into the Gallade's skin.

The Gallade barely cringes, seeing as its dreams of a beautiful Gardevoir are too enticing. Its closed eyes take no notice of the Jumpluff gaily floating back to where it originally stood, before disappearing into the plushie again.

Description: A large forest filled with trees. Walking on the ground is a challenge because of trees being so close together. Nimble, quick Pokemon would call this place home.

Brief patches of sunlight stream through the thick canopy of the forest. The trees grow close to each other and intertwine their branches. An earthy smell emanates from the earth, and it seems as if the forest is full of life. Everything seems extremely vibrant and radiant. Hues of green cover majority of the scene. The sky can barely be seen through the canopy, and the ground is covered with the undergrowth. There is an area in the forest perfect for battle. For some reason, the leaves here have been brushed aside, and there are four boulders marking a rectangular area.

Stirring the peaceful and tranquil forest, two trainers decide to battle. 3m0d0ll and Mitsuzo-kun start walking away from each other, walking along the borderlines of the battle field. The referee, or should I say referee wannabe, appears with his Ralts in the center of the clearing. He starts walking toward one side and raises his flags as he speaks. “This will be a single battle involving two trainers. Each trainer is allowed two pokemon.” He gestures for the trainers to send out their pokemon, and 3m0d0ll sends out Gallade while Mitsuzo-kun sends out Rosie the Jumpluff. Gallade grins slightly and is happy to be able to get back to nature while Rosie basks in the glorious rays of the sun. Rosie is thoroughly enjoying being surrounded by the many trees and plants of the forest. The referee then blows a whistle and calls out, “Trainers ready! Commence the battle!” Mitsuzo-kun starts off with a string of commands. Rosie tries to internalize everything her trainer said and is slightly confused. She starts wondering what her trainer really wants her to do. 3m0d0ll on the other hand commands Gallade to hit Rosie with a flurry of attacks. As soon as Gallade hears his commands, the action begins.

Rosie, being the quicker of the two, starts shaking her three cotton puffs. Tiny spores start falling from her puffs. The spores are carried by the wind and start forming what seems to be a Jumpluff; Rosie and the Jumpluff made out of spores start glowing as life force imbues the previously lifeless clump of spores. Suddenly, without anyone knowing how, Rosie vanishes from sight, and the clump of spores is left in her place.

While Rosie is forming her substitute, sparks start crackling and fizzing off of Gallade’s arms. Gallade slowly brings his arms together, and a wave of electricity flows between the two arms. Gallade focuses on the energy he is building up and points his two arms towards Rosie’s direction. Without a moment’s notice, a screaming sliver of electricity flies through the air. The thunderbolt, however, does not hit Rosie, and Gallade stares in disbelief as the thunderbolt is absorbed by Rosie’s substitute.

Rosie, hidden in the trees, starts smiling to herself as she observes the failed attack of her opponent. She tries to remember what her trainer had told her to do, but she can not seem to understand what her trainer meant. She starts muttering to herself whether her trainer wanted her to do sleep powder, seed bomb, substitute, or swords dance.

Gallade closes his eyes. Surely he would be able to identify Rosie right? He does a quick scan of the area, looking for Rosie’s mental signature. The first sweep reveals nothing, so he scans the area again. He starts getting frustrated as the second sweep reveals nothing, so he uses more effort to scan the area for one last time. Still nothing. Gallade gives up and targets the psychic attack toward the substitute instead. Slowly, the substitute levitates off the ground. It goes higher and higher until it almost touches the canopy. Suddenly, Gallade releases his mental hold, and the substitute falls to the ground. The spores drift away from each other, and the substitute fades away.

Realizing that she just lost a turn to attack and that her substitute was destroyed, Rosie leaps from the canopy, and guided by the wind, lands gracefully in front of Gallade. Flustered and still not able to understand what Mitsuzo-kun meant, Rosie chooses a random attack and hopes for the best. She decides to fling a huge seed towards Gallade. The huge seed appears out of Rosie’s right arm and quickly flies through the air.

Pleased that he was able to destroy the substitute, Gallade smirks confidently. Unexpectedly, he something hits him in the face and makes him stumble backwards. He identifies the projectile and is very irritated at the blue pixie in front of him. How dare that pixie hit him while he was enjoying his triumph over the substitute! He dashes forward toward Rosie, and the air around his right fist suddenly drops in temperature. A thin layer of ice starts forming on his fist. With great accuracy, he slams his fist into the face of Rosie.

Rosie screams in pain and is forced to stumble backwards due to the impact of the fist. She particularly disliked the cold temperature of the punch.

- For Rosie’s second and third action, I rolled the RNG. There was a 50% chance she would not do anything because she was given too many commands.

- Gallade’s psychic did 12% damage on the substitute, destroying it.

Novice tryout for fun.

3m0d0ll and Mitsuzo-kun make their way into a large, thick forest. It doesn't look much like the kind of place for a pokémon battle, with the trees being so dense, but the ref has situated himself in the branches of a nearby tree, with a megaphone and a whistle; it must be the right place. The two trainers, slightly impeded by the foliage, travel to the center, exchange "good luck"s, and send out their pokémon.

On 3m0d0ll's side, a fierce-looking Gallade stands next to a tree, throwing mock punches and kicks at the air. On Mitsuzo-kun's side, A Jumpluff whimsically floats through the air, bouncing in and out of trees. The trainers give their commands, and the round begins.

Upon hearing her commands, Rosie turns to her trainer, showing a combination of confusion and disbelief. You want me to do what? Her commands may be complicated, but Rosie tells herself to carry them out as best she can. She starts by shaking her body so that one of her cotton puffs flies off. Immediately, it is taken by a light breeze to the middle of the battlefield. Suddenly, it sprouts a body that looks eerily like a second Jumpluff, but more doll-like. The real Jumpluff sits a few yards back, lightly panting from the exertion of making such a substantial copy.
Meanwhile, Gallade has been concentrating. He opens his eyes, now glowing yellow, and looks at Jumpluff. Suddenly, he begins to crackle with electricity, and a single bolt of lightning flies from his body toward Jumpluff. It connects, and the doll tumbles through the air, landing a few feet away in a pile of leaves. The leaves fly in all directions while the real Rosie watches, jealous. Why couldn't I play in the leaves? A few feet away, the doll rights itself and begins to float again. The substitute looks somewhat affected, having several charred rips on its body, but is still usable. Gallade looks unsatisfied, having hoped to blow that thing into shreds of cotton. Oh well, he thinks, I'll get it later.

[Rosie: -20%hp, -10%en; -9%hp on sub, leaving 13%; Gallade: -6%en]

Rosie tries to recall her next move, running her commands - or at least the parts she can remember - through her head. What was it, now, substitute, then... Oh yeah! Sleep Powder! She begins to slowly shake her cotton puffs, the one used on the substitute having since grown back, and a cloud of spores puff out. They travel at a moderate speed toward Gallade, contorting in and out like a water balloon. He tries to move out of their way, but the trees hinder his advancement, and the cloud moves around his head. He tries to fight it, but Gallade's eyes eventually grow heavy and he slumps to the ground, asleep. On the other side of the field, Rosie flips through the air, ecstatic. I did it! He's asleep! Yay!

[Rosie: -3%en; Gallade: +sleep]

Yet again, Rosie thinks through her commands. This one was tough. Uh, well... There was Seed Bomb, and Swords Dance, and... Substitute? No, I already did that one... Wait, it was Toxic! Upon remembering, Rosie begins to build up poisonous gas in its puff balls, turning them an increasingly sickly purple. Finally, when they reach the right saturation, she releases the violet fog. It comes together in a cloud not unlike the one in the previous action. It floats toward Gallade and envelops his body, giving him a purple hue before it sinks into his skin and lungs. A few seconds later, he gives a noticeable shudder, but shows no signs of awaking. He remains on the ground, sleeping, perhaps dreaming violent, spiteful dreams toward his opponent.

- It took Rosie more time in the third action thinking about her commands, so she gave up the first move to Gallade. However, he was otherwise occupied.

A wind blows softly, the trees whistling in the breeze. Rays of sunshine peer through, the dense shadows dancing. The sound of bugs chirping and water trickling from small brooks blend nicely to form a quiet forest melody. The trees are the most vibrant green at their tops, and one who enters can almost feel the energy coming off from them. The air smells like a mixture of rich soil and the perfumes of all the different flowering plants. A Pokemon trainer named 3m0d0ll appears from behind a fairly large tree. As he navigates his way though the forest, stepping over various tree roots, rocks, and a few small Pokemon running away. He finds a small stone disk on the ground shaped like a Pokeball, covered in moss and leaves. His opponent, Mitzuko-kun, steps just barely into view on the adjacent side. They meet in the middle and shake hands"Good luck!" Mitzuko-kun says.

"You too!" replies 3m0d0ll, as they return to their positions. Mitzuko-kun takes out a Pokeball and presses the button in the center.

"Go, Gallade!" 3m0d0ll shouts with vigor. In a flash of red electricity, the form of a Gallade appears, and materializes, it looks fierce and ready to brawl.

"Go, Rosie" Mitzuko-kun Utters with grace, and with a smile she releases a Jumpluff, looking playful and blissfully unaware of what is going on, out of a decorated Pokeball.

"You may begin!" The referee announces.

Upon hearing the orders Rosie does absolutely nothing, waiting for its opponent to strike, though looking very cute and innocent. The Gallade charges at Rosie, while rubbing its hands together to create electricity. The sound of static vaguely crackling and the Pokemon running through the Forest, crushing dead brush as it moves with speed, and echos ever so slightly across the trees.

At it prepares the electrical attack, the Jumpluff disappears in a puff of grayish blue spores. Powder substance is known as Sleep Powder. The Gallade stops for a second and waits for the spores to settle, then, again, runs to attack the opponent. An almost glass like exact replica of the cottony Pokemon appears after the spores settle. The Gallade realizes this too late, and attacks the Substitute with a Thunderbolt, which makes a very distinct popping noise.

The substitute's figure is deformed by a spider web of cracks and fractures, it just barely retains its form. The Gallade quickly Readies a physic attack on the almost-shattered-substitute. It first focuses its mind, then envisions the Rosie statue floating up, and then falling, and finally smashing into smithereens, and so it happens as such. The Jumpluff reappears, not knowing what to do next.

While the Jumpluff is confused as to what she should be doing, Gallade swiftly forms a fog of cold energy around his hand. The Gallade's fist clenches very tightly as the fog forms a shimmering glossy coating of crystal clear ice. He then pulls his fist back and hammer's Rosie. A shiver of cold pierced her body, as she doubled over in pain for a brief moment, as ice was doubly super effective against her.

Okay while I don't mean to rush you the last reffings were in August.

hey okay while you say you don't mean to you've made several posts of this nature and you really need to understand that Negrek has a busy life outside of ASB. posting to complain about things being late isn't going to make them come faster. everybody else can deal with being patient just fine, so I'm sure you can too. stop. doing. this. deleting your old post and then posting the exact same thing is not helping.

Well, there's no real excuse to have let things go for so long. Here we are.

Squornshellous Beta

There is no limit to the number of battles a referee can take on.

Aside from some persistent syntax problems, the battle description is fine. Damage and energy too, although I have no idea how Gallade used more energy to perform psychic than he did to use thunderbolt, given that the latter is more powerful and not a STAB attack.

Some small errors, but acceptable overall. Approved

Mawile

Your battle description is sparse but serviceable.

Substitute blocks all damage from an attack regardless of how much health it has left, unless the attack is a multi-hit one. Thus Rosie herself shouldn't have taken any damage from the psychic attack on action two.

Your health and energy calculations are a bit baffling, though. I thought the 30% substitute was just a typo, but no, the only way everything adds up to 55% damage is if it was. There's no way that psychic and thunderbolt come together for 30% damage (plus eight more, since the psychic kept going after the substitute was destroyed). What makes it stranger is that seed bomb does the right amount of damage with the swords dance taken into account. Rosie just takes a ludicrous amount of damage from everything. If the substitute docked 30% health, then it should have cost 15% energy, not 10%. Gallade's psychic should not have cost more than thunderbolt, which is a non-STAB attack and more powerful in any case.

Your health and energy needs work, and I'm not sure how solid you are on understanding ASB conventions, considering what went down on the second action. By now you've had some time to look at more battles and perhaps get more acquainted with they system, but in any case you should be a little more solid on how the numbers work, at least, for your next attempt. Not Approved

FallOutBlade

Your battle description is clear enough, but you have a fair number of grammatical problems and difficulty staying in one tense.

Swords dance raises physical attack, not special attack.

How did thunderbolt cost less energy than psychic (they are essentially the same power, but psychic is a STAB attack and thunderbolt isn't)? It shouldn't be costing the same as ice punch, which is 20 points less powerful. Your energy calculations for Gallade are in the right ballpark, but considering them in relation to one another, they don't make much sense. Other than that, damage and energy are fine.

There are a ton of little errors scattered throughout this reffing. Maybe try proofreading your work to try and head those off. Most worrisome are your energy calculations; in terms of damage you seem to be fine, but Gallade's energy costs are very funky and it's hard to tell if you would have had troule with Rosie's as well since her substitutes represent fixed costs. You're pretty close, though. Not Approved

Steele

Content-wise your battle description is fine, but you have some serious grammatical and sentence construction issues that make it difficult to read. Your sentences have a tendency to get long and unwieldy; try to cut back on them. Try proofreading to catch simple errors. There's nothing much you can do about the grammar rules you're messing up save learn them or get someone to review your work and help you with them. An example of a consistent problem you have: "its" is possessive, i.e. "it flapped its wings," while "it's" is a conjunction of "it is," i.e. "He said it's due tomorrow."

Your damage calculations look fine, but Gallade's energy use doesn't make much sense. Thunderbolt shouldn't cost as much as psychic, given that it doesn't get STAB like psychic does. If you're charging 5% for something as powerful as thunderbolt, you probably don't need to take off five for encore. Sleep powder would probably be only 1-2% energy for a fully-evolved pokémon like Rosie.

It's not bad, really, but your battle description definitely needs a bit of cleaning up. Your energy calculations are a little suspect as well, but I would concentrate on the description first and foremost. Not Approved

[O]

Your battle description is a bit overwrought, but it works.

There's no indication that Rosie was confused by the excessive conditional statements in her commands, but she should have been.

The pokémon's ending stats are missing some important information: how much health Rosie's substitute has left is the biggest one, but you should also indicate how deeply Gallade is asleep. I prefer to see information about his poison status in there as well, rather than down with the ending notes.

You should include the calculations that accompany the numbers you give for health and energy so that I can see how much you took off for each of the pokémon's actions. It's pretty clear that you aren't charging enough, though--thunderbolt is definitely worth more than 3% energy, and toxic alone should be about 5%, meaning that both Rosie and Gallade used too little energy. Without information about how much health Rosie's substitute has left, I have no way of knowing how your damage calculations look.

Damage and energy are the primary problem in this reffing. You aren't knocking off enough energy for attacks, and I can't say anything about damage at this point because you don't mention the substitute's ending health. Please include calculations if you reapply. Not Approved

Skylark

Your battle description is overall good, though you tend towards awkward sentences. It's easy enough to understand, though.

You should include calculations with your reffing so I can tell where you got your final health and energy numbers from. I can glean a bit from your final notes, but it would be helpful to be able to see all of them.

The "spent an extra 2% energy on psychic looking for Rosie" is a little suspect because 2% should be a significant percentage of the cost of a psychic for a gallade. A 1% penalty would be more appropriate, though usually I don't think pokémon have so much difficulty figuring out the whole "opponent has a substitute" thing (or they believe they're really attacking the real thing and wouldn't waste time looking for the substitute's owner).

I would have taken a little more energy off for Rosie's seed bomb and probably a couple more points off from Gallade's attacks, though it's hard to tell where since you don't talk about your energy calculations except to note that psychic took 2% more energy than usual. Other than that you calculations appear fine.

I'm a little leery about your numbers because I don't know much about them in detail, but they look generally reasonable. Possibly charge a little more for attacks in general. Your battle description is good, but consider reading your sentences aloud or something to catch clumsiness. Approved

Lucas755

Your battle description is fine; aside from the occasional grammatical quibble it's perfectly readable, and you do a good job of explaining what all goes on. I would have had at least Rosie's last action fail out of confusion over her commands, but at least you did acknowledge that she was confused by them.

Health and energy are good for the most part. I think you made a mistake on the first action, where you say the substitute takes 9% damage and has 13% health remaining. 9% would be right for a thunderbolt, but of course that would leave the substitute with 11% health rather than 13%. I also would't have toxic deal 3% damage all on the final action like that, but it's not a big deal.

Good mock overall. There were a couple of niggles about the damage and energy, but aside from the subtraction error on the substitute nothing really major. Approved

PokeGhost

You should be putting your damage and energy calculations in your mock so I can see how much health and energy you deducted for each action.

The descriptive content of your mock is good, but your grammar and proofreading leave a bit to be desired. Try rereading your mock a couple of times to see if everything you have down makes sense; it might help you avoid sentences like "The sound of static vaguely crackling and the Pokemon running through the Forest, crushing dead brush as it moves with speed, and echos ever so slightly across the trees."

Did Rosie use sleep powder first and it missed or something? Or was that supposed to be a distraction or something while it was working on substitute? In any case, Rosie should have opened with substitute. I'm not sure what you mean by Rosie not being commanded to use a third attack… she definitely had three actions commanded. Unless you meant that she got confused by her final command and just didn't do anything.

It's hard to tell exactly what was going on with your calculations since you didn't break them down at all, but something is wrong with Rosie's health. Her substitute would have cost her 20% health, putting her down to 80%, but then she got hit with an ice punch. She should be lower. The only thing I can think of is that you took substitute's cost out of energy instead of health, which isn't correct. On the other hand, Rosie's used too much energy. Substitute would cost her 10% energy, but other than that all she used (I think) was sleep powder, and that's definitely not worth another 11%. On the other hand, Gallade hasn't used enough energy; he used two powerful and one moderately powerful attack. His energy expenditure should definitely have been more than Rosie's in any case.

Your battle description could use a bit of cleaning up, but I would concentrate on your numbers first. I'm not sure exactly how they fell out because you didn't include them in your post, but they don't look right. Not Approved

Zilyana acts first, only to Darkness, she doesn't seem to be doing anything, just standing there with her eyes closed. Safe behind her Substitute, Zilyana empties her mind of everything else but this battle, and snaps her eyes open with a new determination. Darkness realizes that the Gardevoir must be up to something, and decides to put a stop to it. "Hey, you!" she calls, as Zilyana's head turns towards her. "Yeah, you! You think you're sooo pretty. Well, lemme tell you something. You're wrong! I've never seen an uglier Pokemon in my life!" taunts Darkness. Zilyana is shocked. She can't believe how insulted she's feeling. Why, that Umbreon deserves to die for what she said!

Zilyana: Health: 72% Energy: 79% +1 to special attack and special defence, sub at 4%, taunted (3 more actions), used 2% energy for Calm Mind
Darkness: Health: 90% Energy: 82% Used 1% energy for Taunt

Zilyana, fuming at Darkness, raises both hands. In her right hand, she gathers a red energy ball, and in her left is a blue energy ball. Scowling, she shoots the energy beams at Darkness, intertwining them as she does so. The twin beams of energy strike Darkness firmly in the chest, and she howls in pain. Darkness slowly gets to her feet, shaking her head to get rid of that incessant droning. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to make fun of the Gardevoir. The droning finally fades, and Darkness coats herself in Dark-type energy, launching herself at Zilyana. Darkness is getting close to Zilyana, but at the last second, Zilyana's Substitute is blocking the way. In the seconds before impact, Darkness grins to herself, knowing that the annoying doppelganger won't be able to bother her anymore. She turns out to be right, as the Substitute collapses after the attack.

Zilyana: Health: 72% Energy: 73% +1 to special attack and special defence, taunted (2 more actions) substitute broken, signal beam did 14% damage to Darkness and cost Zilyana 6% energy
Darkness: Health: 76% Energy: 80% Pursuit did 9% and broke Zilyana's Substitute, and cost Darkness 2% energy

Zilyana watches in horror as her Substitute fades away. Even in the short amount of time it'd been there, she grown rather attached to it. Glowering at Darkness, she once again raises her arms and gathers the red and blue energies. Darkness knows what's coming, and shies away. But she can't avoid the twin beams, and they slam into her, filling her head with the most unbearable droning. Darkness stops for a bit to clear her head, then fires a beam of sparkling, glittering lights. Zilyana stares straight into the beam. It looks sooo preetty she thinks. The lights fade away, but Zilyana can still see them, and Darkness settles down and watches the spectacle as Zilyana chases the invisible lights around the battlefield.

Zilyana: Health: 72% Energy: 67% +1 to special attack and special defence, Confused (severe), Taunted (1 more action) Signal Beam did 14% damage to Darkness and cost 6% energy.
Darkness: Health: 62% Energy: 75% Confuse Ray cost 5% energy to use.

Round # Begin!

Zilyana begins to concentrate, clearing her mind of all thoughts beside battling and enhcancing her powers. However, as soon as she finishes, Darkness begins to taunt Zilyana with a series of jibes. "What, you can't think straight? It's probably because you’re not smart enough to figure out what to do. Not that it matters much, with your cheap party tricks I'd probably die laughing sooner than faint." Though the insults aren't very good, they work well enough. Zilyana stares at Darkness, enraged.
<Zilyana: -2% energy,-0% health. +1 Sp.Atk, +1 Sp. Def, Taunted for 3 more actions, 4% sub remaining.>
<Darkness: -2% energy, -0% health.>

"That little pest is going to get it...", thinks Zilyana as she readies her attack. Furious with Darkness's comments, she fires off two beams of red and blue. The beams twist together and hit Darkness, blasting her with a loud buzzing that sounds like a swarm of insects attacking. The bug energy hits Darkness hard, but she manages to steady herself and charges at Zilyana, her jaws overflowing with dark energy. Zilyana's substitute jumps in the way, blocking the attack and shattering in the process. Darkness stares at Zinyala with hatred, angry that she can't manage to phase Zilyana.
<Zilyana: -5% energy, -0% health. + 1 Sp.Atk, + 1 Sp.Def, taunted for two more actions.>
<Darkness: -2% energy, - 14% health.>

Zilyana charges up another Signal beam, and fires it off. She's still ticked off at Darkness, and wants to make her pay. The beam hits Darkness and knocks her back a few inches. Darkness feels horrible, but knows that she has to finish this battle. Darkness creates a light show of shining orbs, which dance around Zilyana. She watches them with caution, and then interest as the light thoroughly confuse her. Though she's hurt badly, Darkness smirks as she watches Zinyala stumble around off-balance.
<Zilyana: - 5% energy, -0% health. +1 Sp. Atk, +1 Sp.Def, taunted for 1 more action. Severely Confused.>
<Darkness: -4% energy, -14% health.>

Ref's Notes:
I used this for damage and energy calc.

Uggh, I addressed these way back when paychecks were first put up, but I guess my post got eaten.

No grade for me?

(I tried to word this question like 8 different ways and each way accidentally came off like an ass so sorry if this sounds rude.)
Hmm, looks like I forgot about you. Maybe next time you should remind me to get yours done.

All the elite referees seem to have been paid $10 per round instead of $13.
Annnd *now* fixed.

Eonrider

Your battle description is fine. For the most part, your energy and damage calculations are fine as well. However, 5% seems like a lot for confuse ray, considering that something like pursuit is only costing 2% (albeit in its reduced-damage form). 3% seems more reasonable to me, although I also would have charged a little mroe for taunt.

You forgot Zilyana's calm mind boosts in her ending stats.

No major gripes with this. All in all it's a pretty good reffing. Approved

Respect The Blade

Your description is serviceable, though you do have a couple small recurring grammar/punctuation problems (there should be no commas in the first two sentences of the last paragraph, for example).

As I said to Eonrider above, confuse ray seems a little pricey relative to things like taunt, but it's not bad. Overall your calculations are fine.

If you were to improve on anything here, I would look to your description. It's fine for a novice reffing, though. Approved
