"I wouldn't say 'little.' He might get testy if he hears you say that." Nick chuckled. He tried to see what she was drawing, but also not to lean over her shoulder. "Elise, huh? Nice name. Although, you should find a better Power Definition. I wouldn't say that your desk will come to life. Unless it was a man-eating desk that made the occasional joke."

Nick hoped he didn't sound too uptight, basically like he was correcting her. A thought occured to him. "Say, what happens when you draw yourself? Or someone else with a modification, like, I dunno, me with a steel ear?"

When Malin began the transmutation, Marie's eyes widened just a bit, as if she were entranced by the spectacle of the thing, the brilliant light and glow of the gold. She was surprised that there wasn't lighting too, just to make it that much more stunning. So that was his power...a good match for such a stunning male. She applauded a little when his display of beauty was over, catching Plague when he came running back to her. She placed the rat in her purse, where he peered out again at the room.

"A proposition, you say? I think I can hear you out...you seem like such an excellent specimen of masculinity, how could I not...?" She cooed, getting to her own feet.

"I think that I can lend you a hand in whatever you desire, My Lord...I've always thought Biological Warfare was such an elegant ballet, and I'm willing to work out a deal to provide you with it, if that's what you desire?"

She gently toyed with the hem of her skirts, lifting just a bit, only enough to show off her garters to the man before her. She knew she had much to offer in return for her services, even if there was the...chance of infection.

"So you control darkness? How interesting."
Alex nodded, sensing that the "interesting" part was a bit off-- but oh well.

"You should meet Nick - he makes living shadows he calls Shades."

Alex tilted his head to listen. As soon as she was finished, he shook his head.

"What did you think of the display in the auditorium?"

Alex grinned madly. Ripping out another page, he scribbled a note: "AWESOME." The shadow grabbed the paper and extended its arm, waiting.

((SORRY FOR FAILPOST))

"AWESOME." the writing declared, and she nodded, restraining herself. She wanted to test him, but a roommate who was, at least, unwilling if not unable to talk slightly constrained her usual strategy, and he had just gotten here - she had done enough scaring for at least an hour. Besides, if he collapsed, he could fall and crack his skull and then she could be expelled or at least prevented from frightening anyone else. She didn't want to kill anyone - not yet, and not when she didn't have the right level of control.

Eris had to admit that he shared her enthusiasm for Ted's display, and she said wistfully, "I'd love to meet him... I can't wait till combat class." It was an accurate rendition of a lovesick teenager who dreamily sighed after a teacher - except that there was no love or romantic notions in mind, only the memory of the sheer power he had wielded and the feeling of the void he had ripped in the auditorium to let in that... abomination. The unearthly feeling of it haunted her, a cold fingerbone trailing down her spine, stagnant water and starless skies - the feeling of wrongness had been intense.

"I wonder when they'll call us back out... it's not like I packed much," she muttered. Tormenting her roommate would definitely come later, when she wasn't so... preoccupied.

Having settled in, Reggie then stepped outside of his room, and leaned against the door. Taking the pocket watch out of his vest, he checked the time. 10:35... he thought to himself, looking around and fixing his fedora. Reggie swished his tail thoughtfully, and let a little puff of fire out of his mouth. What should I do now? My room is set up all nice and formal like, so there is nothing left to be done there... Oh, where did they want us too meet for our first assignment again... It was just back in the auditorium, wasn't it? Reggie glanced in the direction that he came from, the route that led back to their meeting place. I think I really will like it here. The teachers are nice, except maybe that cyclopes. And the students appear to be relatively... sane people, to say the least. He was both stroking his chin and letting loose a few fire puff here and there now, deep in thought. I suppose there is nothing left to do, really, except go back. I might as well, seeing as though no one seems to be readily approaching my room right now, so, why not? Reggie started back to the Auditorium now, his claws lightly clicking as he went.

Neku laughed back. Of course, that was one advantage of being part feline... No one asked what his abilities were, simply due to the fact he already had ears and a tail. But he did have two other forms that others may not want to see. Plus, he could be a great spy..

"You don't have to ask, but you may want to see them eventually..." He said, still with a friendly smile on his face. He then got up from the bed and leaned against the nearby wall. He hated sitting still for long periods of time, so he often moved around. He was much like a young child in this way.

"How 'bout this.. You tell me your power... And I'll show you one of mine." He mused, sounding almost like a purr. He didn't want to manipulate her, but he didn't want to fear being frozen solid or blown up or get possessed or something like Eris...

"My powers.. seem kind of lame compared to the other kids here," Annalise sighed. She twirled her teal hair in a loop with her finger. "I have a photographic memory," she started, "plus I can see and even change the memories of other people. Something like... I could change your memory of walking in here to walking in here and instead of me being here there's a giant spider," she paused for a minute, "it sounds a little silly when you think about it."

Her eyes followed Neku as he leaned against the wall. "I also started to be able to cause people to black out," Annalise added.

"Well he obviously can do more things than just sport cat ears and a tail. She rummaged through her backpack, pulling out a sketchpad. "Don't think I'm not listening to you." Flipping the sketchpad open she also pulled out a couple pens out of the backpack as well. "So, show me what you can do?"

Her words enticing the prince smiling behind the stainless armor, all but two of Marie's temptations stirred the shadow of suspicion out from it's dark hiding place behind the golden templar's armor. Biological Warfare? Glancing down at the vial of blood she had been cradling in her hands, taking into account once more her pale, emaciated appearance, Malin felt himself grow closer to understanding the meaning behind her powers. So, she in some way dealt with disease and sickness? Some of the very things he despised most? It was a curious combination - and he beheld her in beauty and disgust simultaneously. His gaze moving down to gaze at her exposed garters. Forcing himself to overlook his fear of contamination, Malin reached a bare hand forwards and stroked at her cheek delicately, as though handling a precious object.

"There are few things which I desire, and fewer that I do not already possess. Your talents may very well be counted among them."

Withdrawing his hand, he took another step ahead, bringing their shoulders level with one another, with their bodies both facing opposite directions. Stealing a quick glance down at her behind, he reached his right arm across his chest and attempted to brush her flowing midnight locks from the side to expose her left ear to the open air. Craning his neck forwards so that he could whisper into it intimately.

"Just remember, my pretty flower... that you are not the only one with ambitions around here."

His voice echoing slightly as it changed from a sweet symphony to a metallic bass, a sharp note of warning lay hidden like a razor behind his disarming romantic charm. His face growing cold and sinister behind her back, not that she herself could see, convinced that she still wanted something more from him. She was trying to manipulate him, he had no doubt, and he was also trying to manipulate her too, although he had no intention of hiding it. Admittedly, she was making her intentions clear too, in a very brusque manner. It was a confounding conflict of mutual attraction coupled with mutual ambition, an almost Shakespearean paradox.

"Come now. The time for battle is neigh. Will you permit me to escort you there, milady? It takes two to dance, and perhaps we can both achieve our heart's desire?"

Keeping the full extent of his intentions concealed behind a layered veil of suggestion and implication, Malin extended his arm with the elbow sticking out to the side and positioned himself beside the door. Offering Marie a place to hoop her own in a position reminiscent of the classic gentleman asking the object of his affections to dance. His emerald gaze locked unmovingly on her own luminous amber eyes, he teased her with a smile, awaiting her reply to his stalwart invitation.

Skylar wasn't quite sure how to answer Anya's initial question.

"You mean, like, a generator? I guess. I've never really tried..." He said, before he began to zone out as he thought of all the things he could actually do with his power. Anya's voice knocked him back into reality,

“I can make fire with my hands, yes. That’s not the only thing though.” Almost immediately, Skylar was intrigued. What she did, however, he could have never expected. She ignited her palms and began to burn herself. Skylar glanced at her face and saw that it was in a grimace of pain. That alone inclined him to jump in and stop it. He was barely able to resist the urge however, and simply stood, watching.

"Oh my God..." He muttered aloud, moving his hand to his mouth in shock. As Skylar retracted his gaze back to Anya's arm, she moved the flames away, leaving a quite obvious burn. Right before his eyes, the burn slowly began regenerating and soon was completely healed. Skylar was astonished, and it took him a moment to speak.

"Th-that... that was amazing..." He said nervously, trying to regain his composure after that wondrous demonstration.

Anya's face brightened, clasping her two hands together and bringing them near her chin. Something reminiscent of a gasp was let out, but from her sheer delight. "Thank you!" she exclaimed, satisfied with his reaction. She mused the last part, though loud enough for Skylar to hear, "People I show my power to are, for the most part, horrified when they see a huge, bleeding gash starting to heal itself." After mulling over her last sentence, her eyes focused back to Skylar. "And as for your power, I bet you could generate enough electricity for the whole school!" She was trying her best to flatter him.

About this time, she realized how much time had passed. Anya guessed that by now it would be alright for them to return to the auditorium. Turning towards the door, a thought popped into her mind, like a lightbulb had just gone off. The last thing she wanted was to seem rude, and she genuinely did want to be friendly with her roommate. Not being on good terms with a roommate could prove to be aggravating, so she was doing her best to avoid that.

"Say, Skylar... would you like to accompany me back to the auditorium?"

Neku smiled. Now the real fun would begin. He scratched behind his ear one more time, then left his position against the wall. He stood right in front of her and looked at her.

"You better get that photographic memory ready, cause you aren't gonna want to forget this." He mused.

He shut his eyes and let the feline part of him become more powerful. He began to glow in a bright light. When he opened his eyes, they were the eyes of a powerful cat, small lines for pupils and a golden colour. Suddenly, you couldn't see him anymore due to the light, and the lights form changed. It started to get dimmer until it completely dissipated.

There, where Neku used to stand, was a very large tiger with it's colours inverted, meaning it was black with orange stripes. The red headband still upon his head and you could still see his friendly personality.

"So? What do you think?" He said in a more growly voice. "Oh, and don't worry 'bout me being naked when I switch back, all my clothes are still there." He walked closer to Annalise and sat down, looking up like a cute kitty trapped in a huge body.

Skylar blinked. Just like that, Anya was a sunny, excited girl. Not the usual reaction of someone who had just burned themselves. Skylar couldn't help but smile and nod at her thanks. When she mentioned that it was usually horrifying for others to watch, Skylar chuckled. I couldn't possibly wonder why. He thought to himself.

"I personally find your power intriguing." Skylar commented. When she spoke about his power, Skylar chuckled again. "I'm limited in use of my electricity, unfortunately. I view that as a compliment, though, so thank you."

Saying that, Skylar averted his eyes to glancing around the room. Living here wouldn't be too bad. It wasn't as dark and gloomy as the rest of the school. Especially with Anya's sunny attitude. Once Skylar had snapped back into reality, he noticed Anya was at the door.

"Say, Skylar... would you like to accompany me back to the auditorium?"

Skylar blinked, before glancing at the time. Huh. The time passed really quickly. He thought to himself again, before turning and walking towards his roommate with a polite smile.

"I'd love to."

The bright flash persisted Annalise to cover her eyes. It was so bright. Was this Neku's power? Was he going to explode? She sure as hell hoped not. When the overbearing light finally died down Annalise lowered her arm. One moment there was this nice, but childish boy in front of her and now there's a large, discolored talking tiger before her.

Annalise sat there for a moment.

"Uhm.. o-okay," she murmured. Annalise had to admit it, he did look kind of cute... for a large killing machine. But seeing him transform was like getting a slap that really woke her up.

"How am I supposed to FIGHT you guys!? This is insane! I mean you're a cat. N-Not just a cat. A TIGER," she panicked, "oh god oh lord oh shit." She clasped her sketchpad close to herself. "B-but maybe.. I don't know... they maybe wouldn't have accepted me if they didn't think I couldn't fight? I dunno!"

Oh great. The orphan freak now had comfort food. Why oh why hadn't Armin chosen a different room? "No, thank you," he said, as politely as possible, "it's yours."

He sighed. All his stuff was finally away. He climbed onto the top bunk. Reluctantly, he mumbled, "You OK?"

Elise laughed. "I'm sure he would," she replied. "He probably didn't like the fact I called him an elf too."

Her 'power definition', as he called it, wasn't exactly accurate, she agreed on that point. But it gave them the general idea, and powers, for her, were a 'see it to believe it' thing. Although she already believed it, she couldn't really get a total understanding without a demonstration. "Perhaps it could be man-eating," she joked. "Should I draw it eating you? Although, I've never tried humans. I suppose it would just like us, but be their own person. So what do you think about the battles? Do you think we'd be facing off? I suppose I wouldn't do that well, as it takes me a full minute or so to make my creations appear, with more time to draw them needed... I better get started."

She concentrated on the desk, making it appear after about a minute. It was a pale, dirty, white, having been just a sketch before she made it appear. "Here you go," she said, handing it to him, "I hope it's good. I just sketched it, so their might be a few illogicalities."

She moved the desk paper away, taking a new sheet and starting to draw a shield.

"Uh, yeah, I suppose the battles won't be too easy. I myself am pretty defensless if someone gets past the Shade." She handed Nick the desk, and he took it, wondering what to do with it, where to put it. He shrugged, laying it down on his bed for the time being.

"You think we should go? Back to the Auditorium?" He asked glancing at his watch, already standing up. "It's almost time."

Neku quickly changed back and was now staring right at Annalise with his normal eyes. His face showed concern for his new friend, so being who he is, he decided to cheer her up.

"Well, memory modification would be useful!" He said hopefully. "You could modify people's memories of what you could do so you could do the same thing over and over... Like making people black out!"

Neku then jumped back onto his bed. "You could also be a great strategist, due to the fact you would always remember people's attacks. Also, can you do any martial arts or boxing or something? That would help."

Neku didn't even know where all these ideas were coming from. But that stream was running out, so he turned to Annalise and sighed. "That's all I got... Maybe you'll get lucky and find someone with weak physical strength as your opponent!" He quickly realized that probably didn't help her confidence, so he quickly changed the subject.

"So... Ready to head back to the Auditorium?" He said, standing back up, his tail still tense and on high alert.

(Catch up post. I apologize for being gone I was on a trip for school)

Lance took a deep sigh as the cab pulled off. Stupid driver had no idea where he was going.
He entered the building which was a little overwhelming.
Yep this is definately not your normal school.
He wandered around for a little while. Eventually finding an auditorium he knew someone was bound to show up so he began to mumble the words to a song.

Zeph shrugged and replied.

"Suit yourself. Me...I'm kinda addicted to chocolate. Oh well." He popped the piece of chocolate into his mouth and let it melt slowly. The bed shook slightly and Zeph figured that Armin had climbed onto it or leaned against it. He swallowed the sweet chocolate as he heard his roommate ask, "You ok?"

He let out a soft laugh.

"Yeah, don't mind me. I'm just one more freak of nature at this school of freaks." He sighed and leaned back on his bunk with his back against the wall, frowning as the bed shook again from his movement. This was going to get real annoying, real fast. He closed his eyes and looked at the matter and particles of space that made up the bed and the floor and the air and everything in the room. Oh. The bed wasn't bolted or attached to the floor, it was just a crudely made wooden bunk bed set on the floor. That wouldn't work, every single freakin' movement would shake the bed and make it torture just to sleep at night.

He fiddled with the particles of space, connecting the particles that made up the floor with the particles that made up the bed. The bed groaned as it's properties were physically changed, the cheep wood molding into strong crafted oak. Zeph smiled, wishing he could see it. It probably looked like it was growing out of the floor, and for all intents and purposes it was. And it wouldn't constantly shake every time someone moved, now. Content with the change, he withdrew back from his powers, letting them slide back into his mind, disconnecting from the space around them. Suddenly he realized something.

"Oh. Um..I forgot to ask, but I hope you don't mind me messing around with the room..? It just seems so cheap and empty.." He asked hesitantly.

((What the hell Cloud you have -996 cookies))

What a fatty, Armin thought. Addicted to chocolate? He'd had an uncle who was addicted to some other stuff, but not chocolate. That was just weird.

Suddenly, the bed began to shake. This took Armin by surprise. What the hell was he doing down there!?

"I hope you don't mind me messing around with the room...?" said Zeph.

"So that's your power, then?" replied Armin. "Hey, maybe we should go back to the auditorium."
