Legendaries are thought to be immortal. Most people believe they never get old or die.

This is not true.

Everyone must die... even legendaries.

However, if the legendaries were to truly die, the world would fall into chaos. No one would be left to guard it.

So, when a legendary begins to feel themselves dying, they "choose" another living creature to take over their role, be it a Pokemon or a human.

They open up a special connection between themselves and their chosen. Certain parts of their minds are transferred to the chosen. Memories, experience, attacks, and even habits of the species in general become part of the human's/Pokemon's mind. Eventually, even their bodies begin to change.

Recently, you have begun to feel different. You vaguely remember things that have not happened to you. You feel that you can do things that you know you cannot. And your own body has come to feel foreign, to both parts of you...

The basic plot, if you couldn't understand that, is that a dying legendary has chosen you to take over their role in the world. Your body and mind will change, though your personality doesn't have to.

The almighty rules:

1. Your character's personality is completely up to you. Being Darkrai doesn't mean you're evil, and being Cresselia doesn't mean you're good. You can be any personality with any legendary, and if a legendary's personality seems to be set in stone, that's only because the previous one had that personality. You do not even have to have a character that likes this happening to them.

2. You can be a human, or you can be a Pokemon. A human can be a trainer, and you can play your Pokemon. Someone can sign up to be a trainer's Pokemon, whether that trainer is an NPC or another person's character.

3. You can be any Pokemon turning into any legendary. I mean, it'd be pretty ridiculous if, say, a Charmander turned into Kyogre, but you can do it. A legendary does not choose you because you're the same type as them, it chooses you because it obviously thinks you're best for the job.

4. When I say every legendary, I mean every legendary. Arceus, Mewtwo, and everyone else is included. I do not count Phione as a legendary, however, as they are the offspring of Manaphy (who does count).

5. Your gender does not have to match your legendary's gender. There can be a male Cresselia, a female Latios, and a male Latias. Staying to the genders would probably be prefered and also easier, but it's not completely necessary. Relating, you don't have to stay in the basic guidelines with anything to do with the legendaries. Groudon does not have to hate Kyogre, Latias does not have to be Latios's sister, and Darkrai doesn't have to want to kill Cresselia.

6. Your transformation will be gradual, and will probably take place over varying amounts of time. You will not wake up one day and suddenly be a Zapdos. You do, unlike the other rules, have to stay within basic body guidelines. For instance, you may not have a flameless Moltres, or a huge Jirachi. You should also decide what every aspect of the legendary's life is like. For instance, what is their diet like? Do they have teeth? Do they even have mouths, or skeletons?

7. There will only be 1 of each legendary. Sign ups will remain open, but only until every single legendary is taken.

8. Follow the normal, expected, obvious rules (no godmodding, no pornographic scenes (although romance is allowed), etc.).

9. Keep your spelling and grammar good. I understand if your post is short, as sometimes there is absolutely nothing to do except for answering a question someone asks you. However, even in short posts, use proper capitalization, punctuation, and try to do your best on spelling. My eyeballs die every time I see atrocious grammar and I feel the need to nag every time someone speaks in chatspeak (unless it's used as a kind of joke, in which case even I do it). Also use the Enter key to separate paragraphs, as text walls are annoying. Small posts do not have to have this if there's no obvious place for a separation, though.

10. Try to keep all huge OOC posts here, but if you have to mention something small, you can use parentheses or double parentheses to separate it from the main post.

11. Feel free to ask questions about every obscure point that might create an issue if not dealt with. I want this RP to go smoothly.

12. If your legendary has multiple forms, you may change between forms.

13. If this goes on until Generation V comes out, their legendaries will not be counted. This goes for Zekrom and Reshiram. You may also not be any of the revealed Generation V Pokemon.

14. You may have multiple characters, so long as you can handle them all.

LATIOS: Like a normal Latios, but the left ear is bent slightly. When shapeshifting, it often makes minor differences, like different clothing or hair color
Personality: Hound is a rather upbeat and jolly Pokémon. He is rarely sad or angry, and when he is, he's never in a bad mood for long. He enjoys howling, exploring and battles, but he doesn't like it when people comment on his howling.

When she does eventually become an Entei, her fur will be darker yet at the same time more ginger-colored, and she keeps her necklace.

Appearance: Neria is a very ordinary-looking person, not someone who would stand out all that much on the street. She has shoulder-length, straight brown hair, with brown eyes to match. Her skin is a little pale, and prone to sunburn, but over time as a trainer her skin has darkened. She has a circular face, and usually wears small earrings. She dresses casually, with jeans, sneakers, and a coat in winter, and shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt in summer. She sometimes wears sunglasses when she goes outside, but usually she doesn't.

Personality: Neria is a very serious person. She likes it when people tell jokes, and loves to laugh, but she tends to take it upon herself to try to solve every problem for everyone she knows. She worries a lot about everything, and sometimes has to go off by herself to clear her mind. Listening to music helps her calm down, especially piano. Although she feels perfectly comfortable in public places, she is shy, and usually has a hard time starting a conversation.

Bio: Neria was born around nineteen years ago in the inland city of Mauville, Hoenn. Her childhood was perfectly ordinary; she went to school, was taught all about Pokemon training, and, at the age of ten, went out and caught her first Pokemon, an Electrike. Naming him Apollo, she set out on her own journey to defeat the Hoenn League. On her way, she caught several more Pokemon, raising them all to their best. After a couple of years of hard work, she eventually earned her eighth badge, but never moved on to challenging the Hoenn League. Instead, she went to Sinnoh, exploring the region with the money she had earned as a trainer in Hoenn. She never caught any new Pokemon or earned any new badges in Sinnoh, and ended up going back to Hoenn after a year or so. She went back to school at thirteen, and graduated five years later. Being eighteen at the time, and considered a full adult, she moved into her own house in Mauville, and began applying for college, working as a waitress in the meantime.

Other: This is probably the oldest human character I've made. It should be interesting.

Appearance: Rubal is a pretty large Sandslash, at around 85 pounds and 3'6". Both his claws and the spikes on his back are very long, and abnormally straight. His tail, however, is very short and skinny, especially compared to the rest of his body.

Personality: Rubal tends to be the guy that is all brawn and no brain on the outside. He often makes rash or hasty decisions, blurts out things without thinking, and seems just plain stupid at times. He does use his strength and his size to solve problems. He's kind of caring deep down inside, though. He does care, it's just that he doesn't know how to show it, and even if he did, he'd just be too embarassed.

Bio: Rubal was born in the Safari Zone of Johto, living a fairly normal Sandshrew life, at least for a Sandshrew of his size. He was eventually captured by a young trainer, with ambitions of becoming the Johto League champion, like most trainers who came into the Safari Zone. He became a sort of favorite of his trainer's team after being trained for a while and evolved, and revealing that, for a Sandslash, he was pretty strong. His team, not being the best, has not progressed very far, and he has only collected three gym badges. While trying to develop new strategies to beat Morty, he caught a Growlithe, naming her Lola and evolving her into an Arcanine. Rubal has developed a crush on her, though he's not about to tell her if he can help it.

Other: If you can guess where his name came from, then you have eyes like a hawk, you do.

Name: Gabriele Armida

Appearance: Gabriele is a pretty young boy, with a round, angelic face (fitting, for his name), big blue eyes, and relatively long black hair. His skin is tanned, which seems to be due to genetics rather than sun exposure since he has no tanlines whatsoever. He normally wears simple clothing; a white t-shirt and red pants, with sandals.

Personality: Gabriele is very affectionate, talkative, and friendly, and has no problem dealing with strangers and large, dangerous Pokemon. He seems to have no fear and is intensely curious, wanting to know exactly how and why everything new he finds works. He seems to be perpetually happy, though he can fall into fits of depression for seemingly no reason.

Bio: Gunna say kept secret for now, I think.

Legendary: Shaymin

Appearance: Taimai, as a Leafeon, is a small, foxlike creature with large, sturdy leaves for her ears and tail, as well as sprouting from her body in various places. Her leaves are a brilliant green, and her main body is a soft, chocolaty brown that's darker and richer than the normal pale tan of her species. Her eyes are very large and a brilliant blue. Her tiny paws are a dark green, like the leaves on her body, and are very soft to the touch, like a cat's paws.

She wears an enormous pink flower with six petals behind her ear, and has done so ever since she was an Eevee; the flower, oddly, hasn't wilted or lost colour for all those years, though she pays that no mind.

Personality: Taimi is a cheery and hopeful young thing, who believes in seeing the good in everyone and the silver lining in every situation, but is by no means naive. She believes strongly in finding her own way in the world and not relying on others to do things for her, though she will ask for - and give - help if needed. She is rarely sad or angry, and can keep a level head in any situation. It's nearly impossible to get on her bad side, though it can be done.

She loves nature, being a Leafeon after all, and respects the balance of life. She knows that one day, all things die and return to the bosom of the Great Mother Earth to continue to nourish and perhaps be reborn one day, and she takes any deaths in stride, though she will still be sad if a loved one dies, even if she understands that it happens.

She enjoys going on walks just after it as rained, the strong smell of the wet, natural world bringing her great happiness, and when it's sunny, she will often look for a sunny spot to sit and meditate quietly while she takes in the sun. She takes great offense to those who soil the wilderness, and will pick up litter and dispose of it if she comes across any.

Bio: Taimi doesn't remember her birth parents, her earliest memory that of being carried on the back of an enormous Venusaur as a very young pup. The Venusaur, the leader of a great clan of Bulbasaur and Chikorita family members, found her alone, wet, and nearly dead as an Eevee after a huge storm. The Venusaur, who was named Sprout, raised her as a father all her life, his Meganuim mate Rosemary treating her as one of her own children.

Taimi evolved at a young age, due to the ancient forest's influence, and she feels a deep, powerful connection to her home forest, and, indeed, all forests, as such. Her and her many siblings were taught to cherish and respect all of nature, for everything has a role in the great web of life, and she took this teaching to heart. She joined a group of Pokemon from her clan whose job it was to take care of the forest, and drive off any who sought to ruin the green paradise.

Taimi didn't really notice much when her change began, since she was already so in tune with nature, and it took a few months for her to realize anything was even happening to her.

Legendary: Giratina.

Appearance: Pretty much, Arylett has dark eyes with glasses and dark brown (although seeming black) long and kind of crazy curly hair. These are the signature trademarks of her appearance. Not very tall, either, only reaching up to 5 feet. She wears a black long sort of short sleeved shirt that looks like an unbuttoned coat what with being long enough to reach down to around her calves. Under that shirt in plain sight is a red tanktop as well. Lastly, she wears black jeans and a sort of a belt where she keeps her Pokeballs, as a golden necklace with a ruby around her neck and sandals on her feet.

Personality: She's rather quiet at times, is capable of holding a casual conversation all right... if not somewhat awkward at first. However, when she starts to get a bit more comfortable, she usually tends to just joke around a lot and seems to take nothing seriously. But she is constantly contemplating everything and worrying. Contrary to outside appearances, she is quite emotional and has a tendency to become easily enraged if someone hits her bad side, depressed, or even euphoric. Arylett takes a lot of things personally and will have internal overreactions, appearing to shrug things off on the outside. She attempts to hide these emotions, but sometimes they seep out.

Bio: Arylett started out as any typical trainer born in New Bark Town and living in Johto did, receiving a starter Pokemon and going off on a journey. Unlike others though, she began her journey much later, starting at age 15, with a Chikorita, obviously. However, it is not her most used or main Pokemon, for as soon as she got to Goldenrod, she captured her signature and favourite Pokemon, a Growlithe, which pretty much is out of his ball all the time in Arcanine form. She traveled through all of Johto and Kanto and won both of their badges, participating in the Kanto/Johto Leagues, both in which she pretty much got her ass kicked. After a bit of reflecting and feeling depressed and defeated back at New Bark Town, Professor Elm encouraged her to start anew and fresh in Sinnoh. She took his advice and decided to deposit two of her Pokemon to make room for any new Pokemon she might capture in Sinnoh. (hence why she has four) Since she's started her journey, however, she's begun to feel a bit... strange.

If the weather is hot she chooses khaki-colored shorts instead. (She can almost never be seen wearing a skirt or dress.)

Personality: I can't follow these even if I do type them, so I'll play this out.

Name: Eiffie

Gender: Female

Species: Espeon

Age: 15

Pokemon: None

Legendary: Jirachi

Appearance: Eiffie looks like a normal Espeon, but has a maroon jewel instead of the usual red. Her eyes are blue, and she is slightly short.

Personality: Eiffie is friendly and social, but not all the time. She doesn't like waking up, but she also hates wasting time and life. She often then is grumpy because she pushes herself to wake up early. She can be determined and hot tempered sometimes too, often when she first wakes up. Eiffie mellows out most in the middle of the day, as she loves the sun, being an Espeon.

Bio: Eiffie grew up happy with lots of other Eevee friends. Her mother is named Jolt and she is a Vaporeon, and her father is named Max. He's an Umbreon. She didn't train much but was very happy and eventually evolved.

Other: I'd like a friend or trainer for Eiffie, someone who wakes her up when she goes Jirachi sleep.
